Hi Lang Clan
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I tried to find this cache at 1:09:00 PM on 26/01/2019.
I didn't have much luck which could have been for many reasons. I shall return at a later date.

No sign of any cache at the place the hint says it should be. Had a fairly careful look getting covered in leaves in the process. I didn't check down the slope if its rolled out. Didn't have good footwear today for scrambling around on wet muddy slopes. My only DNF of the day.
Someone has moved the cache it's not there anymore can u please check if it is still there
Had a good look here for ages but no luck, earthquake did some damage to this monument.
The first of several planned adventures down the East coast for Team Walker NZ today. A stunning Spring day which was a welcome relief after a week of rain! Headed as far as Ward Beach today but we are aiming to get to the 'end of the road' in the next few weeks before 'the end of the road' shifts This one has been on the list for a long, long time. Mrs W went on a quest to make the find and found it all fenced off due to damage from the earthquake. However a side track got me to where I needed to be but the cache was nowhere to be seen. A quick check of previous logs and I had an inkling as to where I might find it. Voila! Down the hill again. Cache has been retrieved and put back in the the shrub / tree as described. I took a few moments to visit the monument and read through the names - I suspect there aren't many visitors coming here at the moment
The cache had slipped down the hill, maybe earthquakes?
Anyways, I returned it to where I thought it was. TFTC

Hey Garage sale at Seddon - also Flaxbourne shelter - Seagnoid you want to go? - Im going. Pick the boy up and head towards Seddon. Mostly a scenic trip for The Seagnoid this trip.
What an amazing spot for this monument and the base area a great picnic area. At GZ the shrub has gone but after a bit of a scramble find it under a conifer. Cheers,

After some considerable scrambling up and down the hillside... and discussion about what a shrub IS .. we looked in a likely spot which our GPS said was 9 m away and tada there it was.
Cache found in good condition and safely tucked away by the big evergreen. I picked up the TB to move along as well. 6 August 2016 09:51 GH6710 TFTC Lang Clan

Nice spot up there and is a steep little climb. Easy find though

A short climb found us at the monument to the fallen. A quick search found us the cache.
Second day of Chelzea and I doing a weekend cache run through Hanmer to Blenheim through Molesworth Station, an overnight camp and then return along the main highway back to ChCh. A pretty intense weekend with over 120 caches found that most seem to blend together so reluctantly cut and paste logging. Had a great time finding many wonderful caches in a fair few cool spots worthy of the visit. Very few DNF's but will note anything interesting or wrong with individual caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.

This was one of the caches we found on our South Island homeward journey from Picton after 3 weeks touring around the North Island in our camper van. Our thanks to the many CO's for the many great caches and placements which diverted us to many great locations. Sorry for the generic log, but so many caches to log. Got this one at last after many fruitless visits in the past. TFTC
After completing some work in the garden and a bit of essential grocery shopping this morning, Kiwimykl and I went caching to see if I could break the 1000 cache barrier today. That would mean getting 26 caches this afternoon, but during KMs research for today's caching adventure he discovered five caches that I had inadvertently missed logging. I still needed to visit four of them to confirm the date I signed the log.
Our target area today was around Seddon and the road between Blenheim and Seddon which resulted in 40 caches in total.
Kiwimykl already had this one which could have made it easier for me, but I didn't need any help as the cache could be seen from miles (well maybe metres) away. Someone has pruned the deciduous tree that hides the cache and there is no way it can continue to be successfully hidden here. I transferred the location to near the base of a nearby evergreen tree which is the same distance away from the listed coordinates as the original placement.

Nice views from here this evening. Thanks very much for this cache and for providing a reason to walk up here.
Found with a trackable. Thanks. Last one for day. Heading home north Canterbury.
3 years ago, aedk and me went looking for this one.. turns out we were looking in the wrong place.. completely.. today it was a quick grab and log.. no idea how we could have missed it the first time around, but that's one bad smiley out of the way
And this was the last find for today.. it was quite windy and after a hefty walk earlier today I needed rest, so off to a campground by the beach

This was the twelfth day of my fifteen day trip to go to the Christchurch Mega. This was another stop on my way north. TFTC.
O Boy!!! what a full on 5 days of caching. Driving/Sailing to attend the Christchurch Mega Event with Squirrel Nutcase and also picking up caches on the way to help us complete our Dot Days and Challenges we are currently trying to fulfill. We traveled to so many places that we have never visited before and with 240 plus caches later knew we had had an eventful few days.
10.45am - Amazing where all the heroes come from. Quick sharp uphill climb to find cache. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
On our way to NZ Mega Christchurch 2015, and caching as we go. We planned to stay close to the main highway and only venture off into the countryside where appropriate... That didn't always work for us. A 4-5 hour journey ended up taking us almost two days; such was the sheer number of caches we encountered along the route.
We are pleased to report that almost all of the caches we stopped for were in place and in good order. Besides a bit of dampness, there was nothing of concern. This is a feat that cache owners in this area of the country can be proud of... We thank you... Thank you for bringing to our attentions areas of significance. We enjoyed discovering scenic areas, historical and social locations, and other personally meaningful spots.
As stated, we found loads of caches... If we were to write an individualised note for each one, we'd never get the logging done. Hence, there will be a lot of cutting and pasting going on... My apologies!!
Marlborough: An uphill scramble with a nice view over the town and surrounds. TFTC.

On our way from Picton to the CHCH Mega today. First stop today. Enjoyed our leg stretcher up the hill to admire the view of the local area. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
Realise this is a very late log but have't been caching for a while and this one appeared in my found logs - hadn't been logged here though so now sorting that out. It was a great view from the top as I had meant to get up here every time I had passed by. Done and dusted.
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.

There were a couple of things I needed to do this morning before the predicted rain set in and once these were done, I returned inside to get some domestic chores out of the way while it rained for the rest of the day.
However the predicted rain looked a long way away and there was a FTF and a whole bunch of old and new caches out Seddon way beckoning me. Capperz had mentioned he might head out this way today but as I hadn't received any notification that he had got the errant FTF by 10.30am, I figured he must have flagged the idea so decided to have a go myself.
I met up with capperz and his family on the first cache I targeted this morning and we followed each other, (well I followed them) around the various caches in the greater Seddon area, but the time I got here we had bid farewell to each other.
The last time I visited this site I was a uniformed member of the RNZAF based at Woodbourne, and I attended the ANZAC Day dawn service with a group from work. There was no cache here then, not that I would have known one way or the other. On approaching GZ, I wasn't getting a logical reading from c:geo, so I went with my gut instinct and found the cache pretty quickly, c:geo was telling me it was 11m further east, but that was the middle of an empty steep bank.

We camped at Alfred Stream reserve in the cache campervan. We didn't arrive until 11 pm last night. We found on the way back to Christchurch. We finally arrived in Renwick as we had found a few geocaches on the way. We had lunch and then found some more. Finally we made our way out of Blenheim and back onto the open road. Time was ticking by so we decided to leave all the unfound caches behind and drive as far as Seddon with out stopping. This was at a great spot. It was nice to stretch our legs and have a search for this cache.
Cache found very quickly after a quick walk up Nice wee look down on a little town. Cheers for the cache.
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Grabbed this one while heading North.

[green] The boss let me off work at lunch, provided I do some exercise (sport, whatever). I decided to cycle the Taylor Pass - Seddon loop, 80 km. Cool day, no rain. Almost perfect cycling weather. Just a light wind to spoil some parts and make other parts awesome! Only real bummer was having to do the Taylor Pass with my road bike - hard skinny tyres - downhills at 20km/h max - and even that felt very unsafe. A mountain bike would be way faster!
Seddon is only 3k from the Awatere Valley Road turn off, so I decided to pop in here first, rather than go straight back. I have tried for this cache before, but got nowhere. Now it is easy. The hide appears to have been trimmed, or maybe it's just not evergreen and had dropped its leaves. Still, I looked there last time, should have seen it then.
I like that there are ANZAC celebrations (not really the right word) commemorating 100 years since the landings on the Gallipoli peninsula. In Blenheim they had 100 days of reading the dead, three per day, ending on ANZAC day. Here just something simple: the addition of some memorial crosses. Nice.
By the way - there is nothing wrong with the cache - you can remove the Needs Maintenance attribute.

Found while killing time waiting for others to turn up to a work site meeting, logged while everyone else was gone or on phone calls. Worked in the area for about 4.5yrs but never made/found the time to come up here (plus it was closed for earthquake repairs for ages). TFTC

Stopped here for a bite to eat for lunch and thought I would grab this cache at the same time. A very nice memorial and great views as well.
Coords appeared a tad out but saw cache as I approached, so a quick find and signing and lunch at a great spot.
Thanks for the placement.

Down from Canada visiting my daughter and her family in Blenheim. Today was our day to visit Kaikoura to do some shopping and geocaching. Decided to stop here for the cache that was hidden here. My second DNF in Seddon. There are only three caches here! Can I make it a triplet?
