Council work happening soon. Not sure what's happening around GZ. Time to archive this cache.
A nice easy find after a while searching. Log book is damp. There was a guardian protecting the cache
Took us a while as coordinates off & cache isn’t in a log, had to read through extra hints in the comments to find. Cache & log is very wet & log needs to be replaced
A bit obvious so we covered it with some more leaves . The lid must not have been on tight enough as the paper & trinkets inside are quite damp!
My 20th find, found with pennymonkey1, the cache was a little damp may need some attention, I didn’t have anything to dry it with.
Found with Key_Tat and Viper_101... after a lot of looking around we resorted to past pics to narrow down our search. Cache in hand...yay!! Log is very wet. TFTC.
After looking around for half an hour we didn't find the cache. The GPS was definitely off by a few meters because we read the cluse and did what everyone said but still had no luck.
Headed south, returning after Christmas to Canberra, Genghicat and I decided to explore the coastal region.
This cache we didn't locate even though Genghicat's logs show that he's previously found it.

After searching for nearly 30 minutes, we came away empty handed. Must be suffering with cache blindness.
Crocosaurus and I searched for 20 minutes. The local bush turkey was intrigued. We saw a rainbow-edged cloud, but no cache.btoo good for us today. Tftc
The cache is definitely in place. I have made it even easier to find. You have to walk into the patch of bush along the path. The log is wet and will be replaced as soon as possible.
I have replaced the logbook with a sheet of A4 paper, put more information in the description and placed the cache in a more prominent position. Good luck.
Read previous logs and decided to try anyway. Searched all the relevant areas with a torch but no luck.
A near instant find. The cache is where I remembered it being a few years ago - see my comment from last year.

Slowly getting my Finds up to the 4K mark. I wonder if I will make it by the end of the year! (70 to go).
After getting a DNF for a trig station at Fernmount, but achieving a Dashpoint close to there as well Saturday night, I then tried to find this one - at a GAFF1 hunt. No luck before midnight, so 'bunked down', and headed out before sunrise for another look. Back to the car, and saw something on the cache page/logs that gave me hope. Sure enough, I hadn't quite gone far enough. Initially the GPSr was showing 7 metres to GZ when I sighted the container. But as I was writing in the almost full note pad, the GPSr showed 1 m.
Found @ 0550, GAFF4. Left: a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.

Find No: 5302. Visiting from Newcastle, staying in Woolgoolga, thanks for the cache mandp!!
Found eventually! I think the log clue is confusing as I tried to look inside all the hollow logs which I didn't need to do! Future finders just look near the big tree! Tftc
11:20. Found on a walk from caravan park on a glorious sunny day. The walk to the cache and return to the Visitor Centre took me a little while as I did not think I should trespass back through some evidently private property which I had inadvertently passed through on the way to the cache. Especially when I noticed the large sign telling me not to do this as I headed back. TFTC
TFTC, looked in a few logs for no luck, then read the recent C.O's comment in the activity log and I soon had the cache in hand. That now clears the 11 cache's in the Urunga area for me.
After the CO confirming that cache is still there. Enjoyed the view over the river at sunset and was lucky enough to find the cache. Log was abit damp but all good apart from that.

[The cache is in its place. I will increase the difficulty rating but I honestly believe it's not that hard.
To find it you need to ] walk along the track no more than 10m. Lean on a big tree (I thinks it's a tallowwood) and look in the log. Be careful of the plants around the log. If you are still having trouble have a look at the photos in the gallery.

Will add to the list of people suspecting it's been muggled. I found this 3 years ago (before I was a registered geocacher) and have a vague recollection of the hide. It didn't pop out at me this time.
Sencond attempt id have to say its not here and might need a new cache or archiving
After 3 DNF's I would not usually try but I'm moving on tomorrow so gave it a quick look.
Tried and failed yesterday, managed to come away with several grass ticks though. Will try again when itching stops
Searched for ages with 3 sets of eyes and came out empty handed, unfortunately.
Spent a good 15 minutes poking around, explored about 20m up the path, but has to admit defeat.
Re-found 29/1/19: Transferring Geocache to new account (Logging old find with new username). Old account: The Prodigal Goat.

In the bush but not in a log. Heaps of Bromeliads. Better find of coming from upstream is go past and look back and down. Find No 9 for day 3 of 5 days to Canberra. Met the CO as he spoke to us on the way back. Thanks.
Too dark to attempt this one at the start of my roadtrip nearly two weeks ago but a short detour on the homeward stretch. Helped to read the clues regarding the best parking spot and actual coordinates.
Can't believe we missed this the first time and with four pairs of eyes as well , must have been where the boys were looking lol . Approached it from a different direction and found it almost immediately. Great hide, signed log, lovely little spot down by the river, thanks for bringing me here.
After finding a nearby cache, I decided to head to this one. I noticed that it hadnt been found in a while, but that didnt phase me. Parked nearby and found the track quite easily, following the directions. When I reached GZ according to my phone, I started the search. I used the torch and the camera on my phone to help me. Everywhere I looked, all I could see was cobwebs or leaves. Decided that the tree cover may be affecting my phone, so decided to extend the search area along the track a little. This was the best idea I had all day as I soon had the cache in my hands Log signed and cache rehidden
I visited this site 12 months ago with no success, however this time coming from a other direction made an easy find. Thanks mandp
Well, four of us looked in every LOGical location and we could not find it. Picked up lots of sticky bits from the surrounding bush and spent ages picking them off. Never mind, off into Urunga for another cache and a well earned coffee break.
Thanks for the cache. Took a little digging around bwfore we read some logs and found it pretty quick. TNLN. Found with gummybear7
Nice short stroll. Was lead straight to the cache. What a lovely quiet place. A great way to experience Uragan for the very first time. TFTC.
Found it after a bit of bushwalking and a lot of mozzies

One the prettiest cache locations we have been to. Did a swap and went on our way home. Thanks!
A quick find in a lovely location. Envious of the two fishermen drifting past in such tranquility

Nice little spot and good for a rest while driving up the coast. Easy find. Seems like the iron man TB has moved but not been logged. TFTC
I was holidaying in Sawtell and decided to head this way to grab some caches and hopefully get to find 1800. Google Navigation took me for a bit of a tour of the local streets and directed me towards a paddock and a dead end. I later found that the track it was directing me up was pedestrian only so luckily I turned around before attempting it in the car.
I found the right way and soon set off on foot to track this one down. I made it a bit harder than I should of by heading down to the mangroves but I got to the right spot after a bit of clambering.
Thanks for the cache mandp. Cheers. Dropped off the Iron Man Travel Bug.
Find number 1799.... so here is something you didn't know (or maybe did know) about 1799......The Rosetta Stone is an ancient Egyptian granodiorite stele inscribed with a decree issued at Memphis in 196 BC on behalf of King Ptolemy V. The decree appears in three scripts: the upper text is Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, the middle portion Demotic script, and the lowest Ancient Greek. Because it presents essentially the same text in all three scripts (with some minor differences among them), it provided the key to the modern understanding of Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Originally displayed within a temple, the stone was probably moved during the early Christian or medieval period and eventually used as building material in the construction of Fort Julien near the town of Rashid (Rosetta) in the Nile Delta. It was rediscovered there in 1799 by a soldier, Pierre-François Bouchard, of the French expedition to Egypt.

Started off looking at the wrong logs. Cache was found about 10 metres down the path. The cache lid was even visible. Thankfully we found it fast because the mossies were eating us up. TFTC!
Found it this time around, one just has to look in the right spot. There have been a few others that this has happened, but eventually found them, we hopefully get smarter as we go along. TFTC
Tried yesterday to find this one
Searched in and under logs etc but was unsuccessful. May try again

I'll go and check on the cache when it stops raining.

This is my second report of not being able to locate this large Cache, I searched again the following day with no luck, which makes it three attempts. I have meticulously searched every centimetre of the area from the base of where the tree fell from through all of the cut logs to the 4 small ones at the head of the tree. Both sides through all of the leaf litter, with no sign of a large square plastic food container with a green lid. All that I got for my trouble on the second occasion was to collect 6 Ticks, 3 of which burrowed into me. The total time of searching would have been close to one hour, I am sure that it has been muggled. This cache has a difficulty rating of one Star, the following day I managed to locate a night time Cache in the daytime with a rating of 5 Stars in half an hour. which would have been much easier to locate at night with the aid of a torch, and the distance from the coordinate point to the Cache was well in excess of 100 meters. I am still trying to work out am I smart or stupid?
It would appear that no one has looked for this one since my first failed attempt, I will watch to see what the next report is, if the next log is a no find, then I may be right in saying that it has disappeared.
The Cache referred to above has only been found 4 times in 15 months with 7 no finds.

Sadly I did not locate this one, but was told a week later that I had been looking min the right area, but will call there another day and look again.
Had an encounter with a large black spider in s hollow log but he wasn't guarding anything. Nice walk, thanks.

In search of another cache, I had parked the geomobile at the tourist info centre next to the highway
This cache did not look like too long a walk to get too
Only 283 metres as the crow flies
I found a nice shortcut through some bushland that took me to the top of the hill nearby.
From there it did not appear there was any way past the houses to GZ
I checked the cache notes.
Hmmm. To get the the start of the track I would have to follow the streets, which turned into almost a kilometre stroll each way [:o]
Well that's OK !!
I always rely on geocaches to provide my 20 minutes (or more) of exercise each day
I got to GZ eventually and with so many logs to check it took a while to work out where the cache was
Success in the end, and just the matter of another hilly one and a bit kilometre walk back to the car remained [^]
TFTC and exercise !!

Found with 'vaggfam' & 'Nudge74' yesterday, but just created my own account today. TFTC.
Found on a day out with 'Revellfam' and 'Nudge74'. Nice, secluded spot. Thanks Groovydoo.
GPS took us to a dead end road with houses all around it and no access to where we needed to go. Checked my notes and punched in Allison Place and we weren't that far from where we needed to be. After arriving there a short walk took us straight to GZ and a quick find was made. Thanks.
