What a lovely spot for a cache. This deserves to be found more often. Its been a while between visitors. Thanks for the puzzle (had to use an online helper to solve ) and we found the cache exactly as the hint described. All good and dry here too. Thank you.
Back in Lawrence and decided to try a few that we didn't have.Worked out the clues, double checked with P&Vee, then off on the hunt! A few scratches later and Mrs vdh56 too the honours. Thanks to P&vee and hubbies. Tftc
Finally! Blue face turns to yellow! So pleased that the chicks can read those pictures because I sure cant!!Lovely wee spot
The last digits were hard to read but the hint made it a quick find. All good with the cache. Thanks
Good to get this one off my solved list, found while exploring the area with my family. TFTC
Had this one solved for quite a while, so managed to find it while staying in Lawrence. TFTC
Have had this in the solved pile for a while. Came on a roadie for a caching day. Hint was spot on. TFTP
Thanks to an awesome Geocaching friend that helped us out with this cache - found with Juju54 and HRH54- TFTC
Tricky find - and spent ages trying to work the numbers out!! With campmotherandken & HRH54 but after PAF for a little bit of help with the last digits we found the well hidden cache!!! Very good hide & pleased to find it! TFTC
Tricky .needed the help by PAF as 6 sets of couldnt sort it. With Juju54 and Campmother@Ken. TFTC and thanks to our friend who helped us. TFTC
I couldn’t read the last digit of the longitude but I managed to find the cache after a short search. It’s well-covered at this time of year. TFTC and puzzle
In Dunedin for a wee Easter school holiday adventure. Rather wet so not sure what we'll be doing for the few days that we are down here! Today the aim was to visit Lawrence and Gabriels Gully as MrsTGs ancesters mined the area....patchy rain so we'll see how the day goes!
Overcast and patchy drizzle- stopped by this GZ to make a quick find and sign. At least with the weather there are not many people around!

Wooo - my first puzzle/mystery cache. Had to use stealth as there was another vehicle parked up and looking quite comfortable for a long-ish stay which I didn't have time to wait out, but found easily enough. Tftc.
Solved, but I seriously doubt I will get back to THAT portion of the world anytime soon
Would it be too much to ask for a geochecker? I think I have made out the numbers - but uncertain on a couple of digits.
124 others have found it without the need for a geochecker
Just message the CO to check the co-ords
Some cachers don't use geocheckers because there are ways of cracking them

A nice quick find first for the day. Thanks for placing your cache.
Time for another road trip for Ms_KR and KR, so we headed south toward Otago. We cruised through from Lawrence to Lake Waihola today, With some biking and some walking too. A day of changeable weather, though not enough rain to slow us down!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

With KR. First of the day after avocado on sourdough for breakfast. I chose the riper of the 2 avocados but when I cut it, it felt hard, so I panicked! KR finished the job and it was perfect. We got the bread yesterday in Lawrence, still hot at 9am. The bread that is, not the town, altho it can be of course. The bread is made in Masterton and the dough is frozen and sent off to be baked on site. Go! the Masterton Cottage Lane bakery. I reckon the tune is better than the words.
Solved a while ago but only now made the stop after passing many times. Had to wait for a muggle to leave but once the coast was clear the cache didn’t take long to locate.
Thanks for the cache, Lehcier

Wow that was tricky on the eyes, took a few goes to focus! Nice easy find at GZ tftp
Need 50 today for a Geocaching Licence Challenge. Thanks for all CO's placing these, especially those with safe parking. This is number 46. Nice puzzle.
I solved this magic eye 3D puzzle quite some time ago. Years ago I used to be able to solve the printed versions of these, but after trying hard I think I had to use a website to help solve this one. Today we had been to visit Weatherstons Brewery Heritage site and daffodils, and stopped at this location for afternoon tea. A quick scout around and soon found the cache well covered with leaves. Inside everything was nice and dry. TFTC.
Visiting the deep South and doing bit of a road trip in the week before Easter. Great scenery, generally pretty good weather and plenty of caches to find along the way!

We were down in Invercargill for a week or so and i managed to get out and locate quite a few caches around this area and then we made our way through to Dunedin for a reunion . this was an interesting monument as we went up to the gabriel's Gully site. and i took some photos
Thank you for these caches i like the topic of this cache and i would have liked to have visited the cementery to complete the cache up there at the composer's grave site but time did not permit.
we enjoyed lunch at Lawrence .

**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation.**
Making our way from Lumsden to Alexandra today via Lawrence and Roxburgh, finding a few caches along the way to mark our journey. We had solved this puzzle nearly 4 years ago, but did not include Lawrence on our previous tour of the South. Today it is the main reason for our being here. A nice spot for the final. Thanks.

Solved a while ago, grabbed today on the way up to Alexandra as I had a quick leg stretch. Rainy day. Tftc!
This was a great puzzle to solve, it took a while for my eyes to lose focus but once they did, it was easy. The information on the cache page is great, and as we had also visited his nearby grave so we enjoyed the history lesson. Thanks for placing this cache Lehcier, it gets a tick from me.
Dakotacats had solved this puzzle and we were surprised with where the final. We had wondered why there was no cache there! A great history lesson for us today. An easy find thanks to the good hint. TFTC
In Lawrence testing our electric vehicle. Loved the puzzle. Haven’t seen a picture like it in years but remember being very good at being able to read them. Seems I haven't lost my touch. Dropped in a travel bug from our recent trip to USA. TFTC 1881
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 8 of our extended Easter break, today we are travelling from Clyde to Dunedin via Lake Mahinerangi on a beautiful Anzac day.
After finding the multi in the cemetery based on the composer, it was only fitting we should find this cache. Solved quite some time ago, with help from an online viewer as I am unable to see these images. Quickly found the spick and span replacement cache. TFTC.

#17074. We started by looping around the outskirts of Lawrence. After this cache we went into the Lawrence CBD to find the caches there. Lots of parking at GZ, and a quick find. TFTC.
Replaced the wet cache and logbook. Now a 300ml black taped cache with new bagged logbook. **Carnival 3pt**

*Wheep took two goes to grab the co'ods after sighting my first try had landed me in the middle of nowhere lol. Eye surgery earlier on would've made this a wee challenge but soon took stock of some workable co'ods. Found a park and wandered over to the final GZ. Was a wery dirty little con that's had a hard life. SL,Threw in some swag and changed the two bags. Rehid in the hide and was chuffed I knocked off all the Lawrence caches bar one awaiting replacement in one mighty swoop. Nice town, picked up some cold drinks for the road. TFTC Backtracked to Chinese camp cache to take the short cut over to Tuapeka to complete the power trail and home. Such a lonely road with no caches on it and splendid views of the Clutha valley and surrounding mountain ranges.*

Thank you for this cache, Lehcier.
I had solve it ages ago (years) then lost the solution when my laptop died & I lost my GSAK data.... re-solved quickly enough and I was pleased to head off on a road trip in this direction today.
Quick find. Thank you for maintaining what is now an "oldie" - a week or so short of 10 years old !

Worked this one out long ago and since we were passing the area when the muggles had gone we quickly found this cache and made it the last one of the day. TFTC Lehcier.
At last, a free weekend before the onset of chaos. An early morning phone call...'are you able to take xyz up north to a customer?''
There was no excuse not to, quickly chucked clothes on dragged her outta bed raced into work, got parts, and on the road before 8am.
As we drove, the voice from the passenger seat, piped up and said ' look at all these, aren't we going near here?'
Oooh Goody!! Now it's a fun work trip, might be a long day!!!
We an interesting time get cords work for this one .
A nice walk to pick this one up. Cloud coverage lifted and a beautiful day and getting hot.

WhTs not to love about a caching trip combined with downsouthinv having to deliver parts for work.
Any excuse is a good one, and time to head off the main road into the wilderness to find us some caches.
Worked this one out at home.
Well thought i did.. and was right!!!
These made me a little cross eyed but all in the name of caching!!!

An easy find in the end. The thing is I still can't see the stupid picture. Luckily my friend Muttlee66 saw it (although she has been trying for a while), and I punched the co-ords into Google maps. Team effort.
What a superb joint effort with Adigreen - who'd've thought it would be where it is. Slightly damp, but a quick towel down and SL before placing back.
Well, we tried! I can't see these pictures at all but one of my chicks can so we followed the coordinates she gave - this meant a bike ride up a VERY steep hill! Sadly, either the coordinates were wrong, or the cache is gone as we had no luck at all We did have a quick look at Anthem House and enjoyed the quick ride down the hill!
Out for a caching adventure to the Lawrence area with Sirbennis. I love these puzzles how some can do them and some can't. Lucky for me I can do them. So over lunch I had a quick look and solved it. TFTC
For a not so easy puzzle to solve at least it gets regular loggers regardless of whether they SL or not. What counts is the condition the cache is left in, which was wet and dirty and not much loved and cared for. I SL while the little woman popped the seal and wiped the container clean and dry. The bags were replaced and everything clicked together again. tftc
This was our 17.th New Zealand cache on our trip!

Having completed a five day tramp over "Five Passes" in Fiordland National Park to claim first to find on a long unloved remote alpine earth cache, our reserve "bad weather days" are now free for us to go caching. So, we hired a car for a road trip looping around southern parts of the South Island, including a full days caching in Dunedin.
This morning we left Dunedin heading back to Queenstown for our flight home. Along the way, we stopped to collect the odd cache here and there, including this puzzle. I can't do these puzzles with an online solver -my brain just doesn't get it.
Many thanks Lehcier

A group of 5 of us were visiting NZ from Australia in search of a five year old FTF cache on the 5 Passes trail. We had given ourselves a few spare days at the end in case bad weather held us up along the way, but Mother Nature chose to be kind and after successfully completing our mission, now had time to kill on our hands. A visit to Invercargill and a couple of days in Dunedin and it was now time to head back to Queenstown for the plane ride back to Brisbane. But the drive offered a few last opportunities for some caches, including this puzzle cache which we had solved back in Australia. Crookedpete managed to get the car close to GZ for a minimal walk to GZ where the cache was duly located. TFTC
No matter how hard I look at these all I see is a blur of colour and end up feeling sick. However the colour blind son can come up with the numbers quite easily. Weird. Nice quick find but the cache was full of water - tipped that out and signed the log. Thought I was the first visitor for 2017 but now I see some others so obviously not. TFTC #9945
Together with arbor95 I am on a holiday tour in New Zealand.
We are two Germans, old friends since a long time. Together we visited a lot of other countries in the past, even before we started geocaching. [^]
For our trip we usually looking for some extraordinary caches.
Therefore we had mostly a lot of fun.
Easy to find, but the place was used as toilet.
Thank You very much for this geocache, for the challenge and for the maintaining.
Greetings from tripleclaus to Lehcier.

I was spotted one day staring into the depths of my laptop and was asked what I was doing. I explained what it was I was trying achieve and was told something fairly interesting. The right side of the brain is associated with creativity and the left side is associated with analytical thinking. This person had told me that in the past when she had done art she had these geometric patterns that if you stared at them and you were actively using the right side of the brain these patterns would move. So if the patterns 'moved' you knew you were in a creative mode.
This made me think that perhaps these 3D puzzles work in a similar way. So I sat down to some music and started to have another look at the puzzle. When I stared at the puzzle this time I thought about the music and what the music would look like if I painted it. This was what I thought was a creative thought and BOOM out popped the numbers. Yay! I always have such trouble seeing these and it might be because I'm more left brained. Just out of interest I tried to see the numbers again when I thought about about the music in a more analytical way. I couldn't see the numbers at all.
It was a nice easy find when I got there. Thanks

I have some difficulties with looking the correct way on this type of pictures. This was not easy, but in the end I got the information needed to find the coordinates.
I liked the nice description of Lawrence's role to be the home of the creator of New Zealand's national Anthem.
I cannot resist to bring you the original text of the first and last vers of my own country's Royal Anthem:
Kong Christjan stoed ved høien Mast,
I Røg og Damp.
Hans Værge hamrede saa fast,
At Gothens Hielm og Hierne brast.
Da sank hvert fiendtligt Speil og Mast
I Røg og Damp.
Flye, skreg de, flye, hvad flygte kan!
Hvo staaer for Danmarks Christian
I Kamp?
Du Danskes Vei til Roes og Magt,
Sortladne Hav!
Modtag din Ven, som uforsagt,
Tør møde Faren med Foragt,
Saa stolt, som du, mod Stormens Magt,
Sortladne Hav!
Og rask igiennem Larm og Spil,
Og Kamp og Seier føer mig til
Min Grav.
We passed through Lawrence today, and the site of the cache was Sunday - quiet, so I could search unnoticed. The small container showed up right away, and I signed the log.
After this we bought some items for our lunch in the supermarket.

After attending the local event, it could almost considered rude not going to grab the local caches. So CJ-Curry, Hevic, Granville, Kiscardi and I did a trek around town in the drizzle attempting the caches.
I struggled seeing the numbers but with some help puzzle solved, hunt in the rain and cache found.
All in good condition.

An event in Lawrence prompted a rather rainy daytrip to the area for Hevic and myself. We were a little early so we decided to nab this one, which was rather easy - unlike the puzzle! Being horrid at these myself I had to resort to a couple of tools, but I extracted coordinates anyway and they were spot on. Cheers!
Heading towards Gabriel's Gully today with tmann421.

I've had this one in my sights for years! Today I had the opportunity to walk round Lawrence in the sunshine. Like these sorts of puzzles! Thanks for the placement.
Well - I've been staring at this thing off and on for years. I have all the others in the area and this has bugged me. Last light I was staring at it again, half asleep (Hypnotised?) when it resolved into 3D. Still no numbers, and then there they were. Wow! I had to look away to write the first set down, but the picture resolved itself fairly easily the second time.
It's a long way to go for a cache (and a coffee and cheese rolls) but I wasn't going to wait. The cache itself was easily found and is safe and dry, despite not having been found for coming up to two years. Thanks so much.

I have been looking at this one until I was cross eyed but with not much success. Fortunately I discovered a friend with the abilities I do not have and got the numbers pretty quick - and finally got a chance to stop and grab - TFTC!!
Needed some help with the eyes thing, mine just won't play the game with these pictures.
There's been some tree felling at GZ but the cache is still nicely tucked away.

Quick find with Chosen1978 on day trip into OF territory. Had worked out coordinates last night and after checking on google arrived at GZ to find the area had been excavated and a lot of the trees had been cut down but cache still intact.
Found with granville86a (he figured the puzzle out, thankfully), lots of tree felling happening in the area, but cache was found and logged. Thanks Lehcier for the puzzle
Love these pictures! Have had the co-ords for a while and cache was found in double quick time. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
While collecting this one, saw lots of classic cars heading to car show, so followed along to have a look. The things you do while geocaching!?! Found with debsnz

Thanks for sharing this history, in all the years I've driven through Lawrence I've never known this little tidbit of information.
Found a week ago and first chance to log today. Was the house in the picture at the original co-ords? We just went to the co-ords of the 3D picture and found the cache but didn't see the house. What did we miss?
We have both had cataract surgery, so we got YuGeo4 to read the co-ordinates for us.
+ a marble, - nothing.
