A beautiful little stroll was had here this morning! There were a couple of people on the water enjoying themselves which looked like fun....cold....but fun! Both finds were found easy enough with plenty of room left in the log book. Thanks for the hide Smile

I had packed up A'Tuin the geomobile, the geodogs, Gypsy Girl, Teeny Treek, and Mini Michi on board, and we had set off for Warrnambool, where Mrs Dromaniax would meet us later in the day.We had a list of caches we wanted to find today, and having just completed a First to Find, we were back in Colac to find the Multicaches hidden around town. We had completed the data collection task on previous visits, and now was the day to find them all and see if we could finally have a day with six Multicache finds. After a couple of days in Warrnambool, we were on our way back home, but before we left Warrnambool, we wanted to see if we could find another six multicaches in a day. This was the sixth one for the day, ensuring we completed our goal.Thank you, Kia1, for this Multicache.

25-Apr-24
Found this with gridge98 on our road trip to Victoria. We took the great ocean road to Warrnambool, then to Ballarat and Halls Gap. Fantastic trip away over 5 days. Thanks for the cache!

25-Apr-24
A nice and simple multi here, after the numbers were had it was at GZ where the cache was found and is all goodcourtneyrose_ and I headed away to Victoria for a 5 day trip for me to partake in the Ballarat Marathon. Along the way we made our way to the great ocean road to explore the area, after both of us had not been there for many years. We then headed to Ballarat for 2 nights before heading to Halls Gap for a scenic experience for the night before making our way back to home to Adelaide. Thanks for the cache.

02-Apr-24
Camping at Warrnambool around Easter has been a Bruce tradition for a good while now, and we are back for 2024. As the cousins get older, this year promises less time at Lake Pertobe and the BMX track, and more at the shops. But I can still find time for a good cache and Warrnambool still has quite few left to me to find - we liked this walk and the double find. Thanks Kia1 for placing and maintaining this one.

04-Mar-24
Found after camping out at Lake Leake for the night, heading south-east towards our next destination at Johannah Beach along the Great Ocean Road. Stopped off at various locations to search for a few caches on our way along the coastline. Thanks for the cache Kia1!

06-Feb-24
Spent far too long looking for the wrong thing at the Mill. Reread the cache notes and then off to the final. Nice bit of history.

19-Nov-23
Hevwalker and I were in Warrnambool for a 4 day caching holiday and caught up with Chooknchunk yesterday to do the Tower Hill caches and come to our event where we met Eviloffspring who helped us around the town and found some caches around the area. It was a lovely walk along the river with friends and being told about the history of the area. Thanks for another great cache Kai1 we have really enjoyed our time in Warrnambool doing some of your caches.

19-Nov-23
scramping & I were visiting Warrnambool for a 4-day long weekend. After our event, Chook (ChooknChunk), Eviloffspring, scramping & I did some caching around town. This was a nice multi taking us to a lovely walking area.TFTC Kia1 Smile

19-Nov-23
After attending an event this morning in Warrnambool, Chook teamed up with Hevwalker, Scramping and Eviloffspring to find a few more caches around town before she had to head home.It was a lovely day for walking along this riverside reserve and doing this multi. No problems with the waypoints or the final cache. TFTC Kia1, and for highlighting this area.

16-Oct-23
Did the necessary sums and got the needed. Second go at this one, I didn't read the instructions well enough on my first try. Nice area here down by the river. TFTC

29-Mar-23
Found on a day spent targeting some caches of interest between Port MacDonnell and Warnambool.

After collecting the required information and calculating the final coordinates, it was a quick find at GZ not too far away.

Container and contents are in good condition.

Thanks Kia1 for the cache.

nice walk on a cold morning - TFTC Smile

30-Oct-21
Found this on a lovely walk with Eviloffspring. She had to distract a muggle so I could sing the log

01-Apr-21
My first working out of way point 1 was way way off. After a recheck and rejig of the numbers I had a new location, which was actually where I thought the final would be. I took the opportunity to find this while out for a walk with the geodog and my son, who was told to be on the lookout for muggles, other than himself, while I located the cache. Glad there was a pencil to sign the log as it was a spur of the moment decision to find tonight.

27-Dec-20
It started to rain, so took the umbrella, and held it on an angle to stop the strong wind, thinking that we were going to get blown away. Solved the multi pretty easily, all dry caches. Took the TB and walked back with wet shoes. TFTC

19-Nov-20
The log has been replaced with a dry one.
All good now.

13-Oct-20
Due to flooding in the area I am sure this will need looking at.
Will complete task asap.

07-Jul-20
It doesn’t feel great for not able to find it in the muddy area

20-Jun-20
Love multis another find!

08-Jun-20
Nice quick walk along the river. Surprisingly quite popular with muggles out exercising their horses and dogs. Dropped off a TB

12-Mar-20
This turned out to be a lovely stroll along the riverbanks Smile
And so treading carefully to avoid landmines,
I found the olde mill Big Grin

With final coordinates to paw,
I wandered some more for an easy cache fetch Big Grin

TFTC.

PS: I didn't spy the quince [:o]

06-Oct-19
Did the calcs. Went to wp1, struggled A little to open, it has rusted, but got the final all signed sealed and delivered. Thanks for the cache

25-Apr-19
A day to remember and a good day for a walk. All intact and accounted for. Thanks Kia1

03-Mar-19
Nice simple multi with a nice stroll along the river. Got the first bit of info easily correct and think we were lucky with the quick discovery of the second part. The final was easily located. Thanks for bringing us here to a nice spot in Warrnambool.

02-Feb-18
Nice find!

12-Nov-17
We lucked out at this one as the only muggle that was nearby left just as we arrived. Now off to practice our counting, checked and noted the numbers, talked to the nearby horse that, perhaps, thought we had something special for it.
Now it is time to go for a nice walk, the weather is starting to be nice to us. The co-ords lead us to a structure where we found the next set of co-ords and them to the final, where again, the co-ords were spot on. We enjoyed this cache very much. SL TFTC

25-Oct-17
ROAD TRIP! - Day two Cool After driving to Mount Gambier yesterday via the scenic Coorong route collecting caches that I haven't found, it was time for a forage across the border with mogni. [^] Our target was to make our way to Warrnambool and try and get the remainder of the puzzles and multi's we were yet to do, leaving just traditionals to collect another day. If not for two DNF's we would have succeeded too. [:o)]
Once again we were on the multi trail. Managed to stir up one of the local dogs and a family of magpies just by being there. Carried a stick, waving it furiously above my head. Must have looked silly but the magpies didn't swoop so I am gonna say it worked! [B)]
Took a little time to find the cache at GZ as mogni's eyes rolled around inside her head. I think she was having a hard time biting her tongue. Surprised I found it...patience girl. Smile
Thanks Kia1 for another great cache. Smile

18-Oct-17
Found it right away this time, not sure how i missed it last time Razz TFTC

15-Oct-17
I have seen this one many times when visiting Warrnambool but hadn't taken the time to stop and give it ago. This was quite easy and all the pieces fell into place.

Thanks from mogni Smile

20-Oct-16
We left from Geelong in the morning with the ultimate aim of picking up local caches to the Warrnambool area. With Earthcaches, mysteries , multis and of course the trusty old trads we started checking off our long list in the company of McLookers as we enjoyed the scenery along the way. McLookers had already done half the work on their last visit but with flooded rivers making the going dangerous it was put off until today to complete. After double checking the numbers we headed off to the next wpt where the final numbers were found leading us to GZ.
Thanks Kia1 for the walk along the river today.

20-Oct-16
the last time I visited this area was when many, many rivers were flooding. Returning today with The Tritonz, we could see the height of the flooding and while the river was still flowing, it was quite safe to be around. We made our calculations and found our information at WP1 but it has suffered a little from the recent waters. It is in place but the contents, while still very readable are very, very wet. It was off to GZ where The Tritonz located the cache quite quickly. The lid is cracked and will need some attention but we were able to sign the log and replace. Thanks Kia1, a pretty spot, thanks for bringing us here today.

01-Jun-16
Down in Warrnambool for for the day and after getting our work done I was determined to get at least one cache done. This one was the one I had chosen as there was potential for some unloved months. After arriving at GZ and doing some calculations I had a set of co-ords that were puting me in the middle of the river. After rechecking my numbers I realised my mistake and after some quick new calculations I had a drier WP but in order to get there I was going to need to get wet. So I began my Maths once again and this time the WP was pointing me to a likley spot. After a short walk We arrived at the 1st WP and while I began to search in some likely spots my non caching work colleague pointed to something that had grabbed his attention. It turned out to be the next clue and after another short walk we found the cache in a likely spot. A nice easy multi in a beautiful location on a sunny day like today this was a great spot to visit. Hard to believe this has not been found in over 12 months. TFTC

17-Feb-16
Cache has been maintaned and replaced after being muggled.
All set to go.
Cheers.

10-Feb-16
OK, well stage one has been completed, so not long till this cache will be set to go.

Cheers

18-Dec-15
Sorry but the container has gone AWOL.
Working on the replacement.
Cheers

17-Mar-15
Third time lucky, used the GPS this time, will be back tomorrow with a pen.
Final Co-ords are good and first hint is spot on but you need to be standing on the cache to see the silver paint !
I come through this area fairly often so I used my local knowledge instead of trying to solve the first part which is a bit like "how long is a bit of string"

06-Mar-15
Went and checked this one, yep, it's still there.

25-Feb-15
A lot of long grass around final point. Hard to scramble through

01-Jan-15
First cache for 2015 on New Years Day. A lovely stroll - just what Mrs matmob needed after spending all day at the bedside of Mr matmob in the Warrnambool Hospital Sad We had kayaked past here yesterday, a lovely river for paddling. TFTC

19-Nov-14
Thanks for bringing us here Kia1. Another place in Warrnambool we would never have known about.
The artist was still there!

30-Oct-14
The final cache was very well hidden
And hard to get to with a lone artist painting away just in front of it
He must have wondered what I was doing poking around behind him
But what a lovely spot, I must come back here for a picnic

08-Mar-14
Just myself and our eldest geoson out to find one last cache in the afternoon, this multi had been on my to do list for a while and we tackled it today while the weather was fine. We worked out the numbers needed and headed off for a easy walk to grab the rest. Only had a couple of muggles out and about but they were too busy walking to bother about us. I found the first set of co-ord's and geo junior found the final cache. Both were tucked away safe and sound, log and contents are fine. Thanks for the cache Kia1 and for the walk, certainly a lovely place to come and visit.

31-Dec-13
Tried this one a few months ago with no success at the final location. This time, we headed straight to gz. I must admit we looked at the clue beforehand which helped. Geokid1 found this one. Thanks Kia1, this is a nice spot for a stroll.

We found the first cache to tell us where the other cache was, but we had not luck. We poked around the area and still couldn't find it... Sad

09-Oct-13
Well after two DNF I have checked it out, it is still there and ready to be found again.

Good luck.

04-Oct-13
Had been here before and had not found the hide at WP1. Had enjoyd the walk on a beautiful evening along the river. Knew I was in the right place as had PAF. Had a pretty good idea re the final which was also confirmed. We came back today hoping to at least pick up the final, but alas, no cache there either.

11-Aug-13
Worked out the coordinates no worries. Had a nice walk beside the Merri to the location. Found the first cache without too much hassle. Made our way to gz, searched high & low, resorted to the hint, still couldn't find it. There was lots of long grass around which may have hindered us. Will try this again another time.

03-Jun-13
Well in Warrnambool for yet another week of Table Tennis, so another good chance to cache in the Bool & the weather was a lot kinder this week Smile Took a very long time on this one as the weather turned on me, so the cache went from what should have been an easy cache in the dark to a nightmare! But came away with the score after getting very wet, what a night out in the Bool Smile Our Dogs would love this spot!
TFTC Smile

Great multi kia1 thanks. I must admit I found the gz at the waypoint much more interesting than the final gz. Adroitly dodged the doggie dodo. sl tnln tftc

Enjoyed this walk. Had to watch where I was going with the big cracks or mud, odd I know but that's the strange weather we have been having!! Muggle dog may have alerted his owner of where the final cache is. Thanx Kia 1, I really enjoy ur caches.

Fantastic cycling cache. Could not find first cache, but using the hint and my caching brain I was able to find the main cache, lovely spot I would build rafts here as a kid,

A lovely but cold walk along the river today, I have only previously been down here in a kayak. Thanks for the exercise and the cache.

07-Jul-12
Thankyou for a nice multi. I was a little worried about doing this one as it hasn't had a log for so long. However, we set off in the dark, had a great walk and came out the other end smiling. Well done Kia1. TFTC, SL Left TB

12th find of the day, and 2923rd total find at 15:42.

Found in the company of Phetlern on our 'Let's Cache from Warrnambool' long long weekend.
We certainly enjoyed the walk. Luckily the rain that has been pestering us for the last couple of days has finally disappeared

Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks Kia1 for the cache

Found in conjunction with Squalid. Our weekend in Warrnambool began with a morning of Multi's.
We began well enough but we must have got something wrong because we could only get to within 45m of our calculated GZ without entering private property. We had done our information collection from the geovehicle - not a good idea. Then ensued a discussion and a thorough reading of all available information as we wrestled the wet grass, wild plants and numbers. A bit of guess work and we were searching in a likely spot which proved correct. Then off to GZ only to find the cache sitting on the ground in the open about 7m south of GZ.
The cache was returned to a position closer to GZ and owner contacted.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Kial.

16-Jul-11
We ended up quite a way away from this one, but after reading some logs and the cache notes, we made an educated guess as to the location of wp2. Wp3 was then easy. Thanks for the walk. I'd love to have the view that some of these houses have.

A day out caching with Bushfire. 6 of 19 for us at 1125. What a hidden gem. A nice stroll around the river and soon had the first cache. Off to GZ and that was soon found after a short search. Watch for older muggle on his back verandah!!

The ageing Bushfire was invited out on a day’s caching with the VKC1SR team on a trip to Warrnambool and return in the 4x4 owned by one of the team, great vehicle for caching.
This was the eighth cache of the day and the fourth placed by Kia1. After gathering the required info we worked where GZ was but tried to drive closer but returned and stretched the legs and soon all become clear what the cache name meant. It was lovely down by the river but onto the final location.
Here we struggled for a little while until 1SR worked what the hint meant but it's a good cryptic hint and does not say here I am.
After sighing the log while keeping an eye on a local it was back to the 4x4 and off to the next.Found this fella at 11.25. Will give this one a favorite cache tick well done.

A nice multi in a spot we would never otherwise have visited. I was very excited to find this before the boys [:-D] We spent a while in the long overgrown grass. Really liked the name of the cache too - TFTC

Found it! Great river walk. Took key, left domino.
Thanks Kia1

26-Dec-10
Last time we were in Warrnambool we got the clues from the structure but could not find WP2. We lost that info, so we had to start over today. This time we found WP2, but spent 30mins with no luck at GZ. We even met people who lived right by who arent cachers, but had found it before. We will be back when we know a bit more.

19-Oct-10
Did the required observations and calcs from the comfort of my car. Spent a bit of time at WP2 looking an the wrong parts, eventually the light came on and the final coords were soon in the GPSr. It looks like I'm not the only one to have gone slightly astray at GZ.

Thanks for the pleasant walk and the cache Kia1.

A quick find @ 11:05 in the company of the geowife and emeraldflame after a pleasant walk along the river. I can only imagine what this area would have been like when the river was in flood. The cache was quite damp so we dried it out as best as we could.

Took Bush Hopper TB, left nothing.

My thanks to Kia1 for bringing us here. TFTC

19-Sep-10
Well the flood waters seem to have receded, along with the first cache.
It has been replaced with a firmer one which will need to be left exactly as found, please.
Sooooo, go get it and good luck. Wink

I suspect the hole in the top of the post was the spot where the container at the first point was hidden. I think that once again the Potter People have been busy...

06-Apr-10
Hi to all, the cache has been replaced after it was obviously disposed of by "Potter People"
Go get it..

Returning home to Melbourne today on a windy damp afternoon we were hoping that the muggle gardeners were inside. As we approached we saw renovations going on at the muggle's house, fortunately gz was just out of sight so this wasn't a problem. Unfortunately as we were about to start our search a vehicle pulled in the driveway and parked not very far away so we once again walked away and had to wait about 15 minutes for this muggle to leave. We then started our search which fortunately didn't take long to locate the cache, we signed the book and headed off before anyone else arrived
Thanks Kia1 for the cache

31-Oct-09
We collected the information required at wpt1 and headed off to the parking spot and then had a pleasant walk to wpt2 where the information was found fairly quickly although the blackberries were doing their best to slow us down. We then headed off to gz where unfortunately the people that own the property nearby were out working in their garden. We had no hope of collecting the cache so we simply said our hellos and kept walking passed. We will return another day

A Great walk & another great playground for the 6 year old not far from the final cache.

although he collected some "barker's eggs" enroute

Off to Melbourne for the weekend so will take the bug somewhere there!
