As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
On my way back from "Silverdale Town Centre - An Ammo Can for Zork" I paused for a quick look but no joy.
There's a lot of bush off the track to search. Perhaps a more informative hint would help.
Looked on both sides of the track. Lots of green bush. We will try again another time. Nice walk.

Congrats on your 3000th find! Or more like - 20000th find as of now!
One thing that I still cannot understand - how kiwi geocachers take their measurements - this is DEFINITELY more than 2m from the track. This is about three times more, I'd say
Either the cache has moved, or the track has moved, or the meter has became shorter since the time since the cache was hidden.
Thanks for the cache!

Another visit to Millwater to update the rapidly expanding subdivision onto Osm [leaflet map]
Actually found about 8m from the track. CO might need to check its in the right place. Nice hide. TFTC

Took awhile! Luckily I read previous comments about how far of trk. It was starting to irk me... well done on the container though, log paper quite dry too. This Millwater area really going ahead. Can't keep up with all this progress!
Don't know when or how you achieved your 3000th TWS, obviously it was some time ago now! I'm looking forward to this Sunday (16-8-2015) to making my 2000th cache land upon a mountain, Mnt Te Aroha in fact. Making plans to take a few friends with me to enjoy the occasion. What on earth are you going to do for your 20,000th cache? Land upon the moon, a day trip to Mars?
Found it today, certainly more than 2 meters, maybe it's been moved? We were a bit thrown by the wet log comments, it's not in any of the wet logs around the area! Left some pirate treasure! Love the Camo well done! TTFC!
After half an hour of looking around the bush - only our third try though so maybe looking for the wrong things!
Had a look around a few specimens before spotting . Bush has various incarnations! Thanks
Todays caching day was supposed to be all about 4WD along Muriwai Beach and grabbing those letterbox hybrid caches along the beach. The weather was favourable, tide timew was good as well and the geomobile full of fuel. Only problem, no company. My intended travellers pulled out one by one leaving me alone and, sniff, sad.
Nothing for it but to call off that mission and come over to Silverdale to grab a few easy caches to push the numbers along. There are absolutely loads here and in a new area that's always a winner. It also means I can park in one place, walk a loop grabbing 4 or 5 or 6 the go and move the car again to tyhe centre of the next cluster. Managed over 30 today which although not massive numbers was a nice gentle trip and back here at a decent time with time to log them and do all the humdrum extras before work again tomorrow.
Moved the car up to nearby and walked another loop of 6 caches.
Nioce sized container and an easy find today

Fun! Took a bit to find as further off track than expected, but 4tr old enjoyed finding his golf ball treasure. Left pink fancy pencil, as wasn't anything to write with there. TFTC!

Haha scrambling around the bush for a while but finally found it! Def need to go a little further off track than expected and readjust what I considered a bush great hide tho!!
Struggled to locate cache at the start. Checked previous logs and then re-adjusted our search parameters. Quick find for Kiwiscot after that. KS swapped a bouncy ball for a little torch. TFTC
Oh THAT sort of bush ! Was a bit exposed so covered it with natural camo ! Wow ...look how many you have now ! 17 1/2 thou ! Congrats !
Had a power cut early this afternoon and as I can't do my job without power and the rest of the family was going out for driving lesson and shopping I decided to join them and do a spot of caching. Had I stayed at home waiting for the power to come back on I would have been mighty annoyed at wasting this opportunity to go caching as the power didn't come back on until well into the evening. Nice opportunity for some exercise walking around some of Silverdale. Had no luck even looking for the Silverdale Town Centre Residential and An Ammo Can for Zork due to construction site barriers and with lots of workers around decided not to risk it. SO decided to look for this one and followed the direction on the compass to dive through bush, over stream and up the bank to find the track mentioned in the hint (hadn't checked that yet) - obviously arrived from the wrong direction! Found the cache just gong by GPSr despite tree cover - definitely not 2m off track though. More poeple have found this one than the other caches around here though. Maybe I'll reach 3000 finds someday but won't be soon I don't think - this makes find 504 -by now you've reached over 17500 (that's a lot of caches a year)! Thanks for placing TheWonderStuff. [having now found the track I decided to head off to the Ammo Can cache because it now looks more promising]
Another cache logged on phone that hasn't produced smiley! Found after reading previous log. I would have said 6-7 metres off the track. TNLN. TFTC.
Found with kiwitrecker1 and the kids. Quite a surprise to find the path on the way. Congratulations on the 3000 WonderStuff! TBs out. TFTC
Nice hidden track and the cache as well. Thanks for hiding this big can so we could leave two travelbugs there.
We'll hidden tried wrong side of the track at first as GPS couldn't make up its mind
Not a very nice place for searching....Why OH Why do the dog walkers think they are doing the correct thing by picking up "doos" then it's quite O.K. to just throw plastic bag and the lot into bushes. NOT O.K.
Searched here and there before making the find due to GPS bounciness. Thought to be a good cache to leave a TB, so I did. TFTC
[green] At long last, after two weeks of Auckland Mega and the GeoTours North and South, I can get my bike out and go for a ride. Over 30 caches by bike today!
So here I am, down this odd path. Looking at a pond. The GPS says the cache is 20 meters away, the hint says otherwise, and I have yet to see sloppy GPS work from this CO yet. So I put the bike down, step off the path about to search the shrubs here, when the penny drops. Duh! There must be a path on the other side! (insert your favourite feel-like-a-right-wally expression / feeling / colour here). Found a way across that did not involve getting my feet (or the bike) wet and found the cache shortly after.
Oh, and by the way, GPS is happy with the hide!

On the lookout for some regular sized caches and this one met the criteria. TFTC
Found cache after a bit of bush wacking and head scratching.
As a previous log said 2 means 4ish.
Didnt have a pen and there was no pen in the cache, so will have to return to sign the log another day.

Took us little while to figure out where to park car, a couple of u turns later we were on our way. Lovely little walk and a bit of a hunt and foraging around we found it and our first trackable. Boys (7,9) super excited and keen to get this moving. Congrats on the 3k finds.
Was a little more exposed than it should have been so covered it over a little
Fancied a few smilies in Silverdale today, another nice easy find - well done Wonderstuff (we were listening to the Wonderstuff as we got out of the car), tftc

Glad we read previous logs to help with this one as we were nowhere near far in enough!!! Nice hide. Our twelfth and last find for today TFTC
#1037, GPS put us on the right side of the path today, and made for a quick find. Dropped TB. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We headed up north to Mahurangi West this morning and called into Silverdale to pick up a few caches on our way. A short walk from Goliath and a nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache!

#896: Found
Nice easy find after hopping over the stream and learning that '2 metres' actually means '4 metres' and 'green bush' means 'tree' in geocaching jargon.

2.20pm. No problems getting to it. That is a very long two metres though!
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Quick find after having to cross the wee stream. Rather slippery but got a smilie . Yes hint is a tree now by the looks.
After coming at the cache from the wrong side we finally crossed the pond and the cache was quickly at hand TB's picked up and will be dropped off soon TFTC
Searched for ages! but unfortunately it was a dnf, despite quite a search. I suppose I need someone to come here with. More eyes make lighter work...

Nice camo job here....
Grabbing a few caches in the area while passing through on our 'how ever long it takes' NZ tour.
Thanks for setting this up.

Grabbed TB to move on
Nice quick easy find (with hint). There's a lot of development work being done here. Interesting to see what this area will look like in a few years. TFTC.
