After a huge day out collecting all in the mermaid series, we turned our attention to interesting caches nearby. This was one of them. This one was solved by a keen mind occupying the back seat, and we signed it as we headed on our homeward journey. Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets, find #10266

Quick find. Found with Mogni and JJ52. All logs stamped as JAMS. It was a day when the JAMS crew got together again or at least three out of the five of us. Plan A was to do the Abandoned railway trail on e-bikes but Allister is out with injury so, Plan B was a day the three of us ( the remianing one is STILL on holiday, that is a dam long holiday ) and host a CITO in propect ( i need a CITO in that LGA ) on sunday and find caches " in that general area ), Mogni decided we needed to attend a event on the yorke's on saturday. So Plan C was born. Off to the Yorke's it was, the first cache found was in Kulpara and then working down to Port Victoria then over to the Welcome to the Yorke Valley Dam event and some tasty food provided and then some more caching to our overnight accommodation in Adrossan. Sunday saw us caching along the coast on the way home, somehow taking a detour through Mallala before getting to prospect to host Cane Reserve Clean up CITO, I even got a cacher from England at the CITO. 80 finds plus labs for the weekend away, it wasn't about the numbers, it was about a relaxing time away. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.

02-Jul-21
Found this one but it sadly needs some attention by the maintenance team. What we found was probably the original log, which we stamped with two more names as it was found with ilook4geo. However it was saturated, its plastic bag was shredded and there was no container with it. So sad. Thanks for the cache go to Rocky Glen Grommets but as Dazzatron/Margieh are listed to do the maintenance, it would be good if they could please replace the log and container then all would be good.

02-Jul-21
Out for some more caching along with goingplaces2. It was a good day with plenty of finds but the weather was quite variable. This cache was located, the log was signed and all was replaced as found. Job done! Needs some attention. TFTC.

19-Sep-20
Today, the weather was forecast to be dismal with thunderstorms and a rain drenching! Consequently, gridge98 and I retreated to the more dry vicinity of Upper Yorke Peninsula. Other than a few drizzles, we had good weather. We visited Paskeville, Kadina, Moonta, Balgowan, Point Pearce, Maitland, and Arthurton, with highlights of the mining relics, 4WD-ing along the west coast beach, and finally dinner and heading around Maitland. A long day out and about, arriving home just after midnight.

One of our final geocache finds in Yorke Peninsula today, and I was certainly feeling it by this stage! The logbook was in good shape, but the container has a cracked lid, and so is probably due for a replacement soon. Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for the cache placement, and Dazzatron/Margieh for its ongoing maintenance.

19-Sep-20
Cache has definitely seen better days here

Today With the weather more promising on the yorke peninsula than in Adelaide, Davidwazza and I decided to head over and clean out as much as we could as well as doing quite a bit of beach 4wdriving.
In total 87 finds within 1 DNF for the day.
Thanks for the Cache

Off for another Puzzled Puzzlers caching Wednesday adventure. Again it was myself, S.A. Sewer rats and Blackadders heading for the Copper Triangle for a day of laughs, fun and smilies. Cool But today we had decided we would cache until dark, have a bite to eat and continue with some night caching. Razz

But as usual we had to get there first and decided on a convoluted route via Arthurton would be the way to go. [^] Not much to see here now except the plaque. So we went and found the cache. Smile

**Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for this cache. ** Big Grin

Another assault by a few of the Puzzled Puzzlers targeting the Yorke and surrounding areas. With the rain holding off a number of previous DNF's were turned into smileys and many others were turned into those nice yellow found icons on the map. Thanks also to the extra pair of Starfish eyes.

Another little gem that would have been here many moons ago, cache found easily and all returned. TFTC

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found on the 03/08/2017 at 2:52:00 PM.

On the final day of caching Yorke Peninsula with J+J. We had to stop earlier last night than expected due to the dreadded rain started to fall. Unknown to us in the morning was just how much rain fell! One local farmer later told us there was 15mm of rain overnight.
The extra water made our caching trip wet, and very muddy. The final highlight was having to be towed out off a muddy road by an 8 wheeled tractor!

Thanks for the all the caches.

03-Aug-17
Aussie Mary and I decided we needed a few days away grabbing a few caches, focussing on Multies and Earthcaches with the odd traditional and puzzle thrown in for good measure. Obviously this met the requirements so off we went on a cache hunt.
I love a bit of history
Thanks for the adventure from mogni

03-Aug-17

Ive drove past this spot so many times, always wondered why cars would stop there " thinking dont they know theres a toilet in town" found myself squatting in the same bushes today (found yesterday logging late) nope there not peeing in the bushes there is a cache there. Well placed although recent activity gave me a nice flat trail to follow in.

24-Apr-17
This was day 1 of our adventure and we made our way out of the City and headed towards the underwater themed geo art [^].

I had been eyeing off an interstate trip for some time now and made plans to head to SA to power through the geoart trails over here Big Grin. I roped in my geo buddy Krabiboy to join me and we set about solving [?] caches and highlighting Jasmer caches that aren't available over in WA. Our adventure took us from the CBD over to the Yorke Peninsula and then back across to the Murray Bridge area Smile. We were relentless in chasing down the finds and picked up as many as we could in the week that we had available. Due to the park and grab nature of our visit, the log books which weren't able to accommodate the ink stamp we had made were signed with the initials 'jk'! Fave points will be awarded for those caches which are considered awesome Big Grin

A massive thanks here to Rocky Glen Grommets for placing this cache here and for tempting us to venture over to this area. Cheers!

jinta29 found your cache Arthurton Pioneers today. This is my find #6596 and find #74 today. I was able to get my name in the log book here and we replaced the cache as we found it. Thanks once again Rocky Glen Grommets for placing this and bringing us to this part of the world!

jinta29 and I are in town this week after many months of planning for a week to remember. We are heading to the Yorke Peninsula, Murray Bridge and as many places in between as we can get to. This was one we found along the way.

TFTC Rocky Glen Grommets.

Rocky Glen Grommets, I found your cache Arthurton Pioneers on 24/4/17.
This is my find #3445 and find #73 today.

#11756. Day 12 of our SA holiday. As the forecast for the Yorke today was for rain, sun, showers, wind and all of the above several times over in whatever order you like to think up, we decided a caching day was in order as it wasn't going to be any good for kayaking or snorkelling or cycling. We started at Moonta and went as far as Edithburgh for Rob to do a maintenance check and then back up through Yorketown etc to home. Collected a nice little bounty of 36 smiles with a couple of DNF's thrown in for good measure.

Rob had found this before so sat in the car whilst I wandered out into the wild weather to find a cache. My name is now in the book. Had a look at the plaque and we continued on.

Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets

When we read the name of this cache we thought that iwe were heading to another cemetery. We were wrong. It was just starting to rain again so it was a mad dash to GZ, a quick sign and back to the car.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular.

Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. Repairs and replacement of broken containers, new log books and adding a new plastic bag here and there have all been part of the fun we have been having.

We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be.

My sincere thanks to Muff1 for providing me with the opportunity to join them on this geocaching holiday.

A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

25-Apr-16
The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Rocky Glen Grommets, we enjoyed it.

I apologise for the generic log.
