Almost slid down the hill - recommend wearing shoes with good grip and not trying to find it after rainy days. Great view TFTC
A little bit of a stretch for us but glad to sign off this clever cache. Tftc
Nice and easy find once you are up there.
Straight way up, a little longer, but easier way down.
Log could really use a bag. I didn't have one with me though. A little damp, but signable.

Out around Auckland picking up a pile of caches for a countdown to my 10,000th cache in a week or so.
Found the cache easily enough, I have decided I hate pine trees now, especially when you have to climb up hill, you slip and slide on the 'leaves' and sometimes can quite hairy.

A nice quick find thanks. All good here.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we did a little cruising around to the East and south of Auckland..
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Nice interesting find, had trouble trying to get up because of the muggles in cars coming past but soon eventually made it.

Another dot day filled in. A very busy road with various vehicles parked up so hard to look inconspicuous! Luckily this was a QEF. Log dry enough to sign. Photo not great as a bit dreary. Lots of cows and lots of fly tipping unfortunately. SL TFTC
Great theme and great spot. Well done putting this cache together. View and spot are brilliant. Thanks.
On a weee caching trip to Maratei. Found it quickly. Nice camo. TFTC

There are still some Caches in my Homezone left, I grabbed some of those today.
Another great Cache. Last one for today, nice view!
Thanks for hiding!

Well this weekend was going to be a biggie.
Along with 3 work jobs we decided to see if we could knock off all the caches in Atiu Park.
First there was the any event in Papakura along with a bit of a bribe a puzzle which we had no idea as to solve.
All park caches were found by following Co Ords and hints given. Some caches were very wet and need maintenance done to them.
The park involved a lot of walking to tick off. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Filling in time before attending the CITO at Conifer Grove...
A quick scramble and we had this nicely camouflaged cache in hand. After the business was complete, we took in the view which was impressive. TFTC.

Decided to get out and grab some drive by caches as it was such miserable weather but we wanted to go out somewhere.
After scrambling up it was a quick find. This is certainly not a 1.5 terrain more like 2.5. Anyway the real challenge was getting back down without falling into the mud and puddle below.
Thanks for the cache.

A nice morning for a bike ride, 2 lake and 6 caches, thanks for the placement and getting us out and about on our bikes
DNF this one.
Spent about 10 minutes, together with Doandhopers, looking for it.
We concluded that GPS was playing up, as it guided us to the top of the hedge where the terrain was about 2.5 to 3.0
My GPS is not good under tree cover.

Had a good hunt around, but C geo and Godfreyh GPS had us in terrain of more than 1.5. Though about something else, but it wasn't where GPS was putting us, (about 30-40 metres away), but the terrain there was 1.5. Hope to get this under the belt one day.
Used to run up here a lot but too tired after the hill to admire the views. Awesome views from GZ. Thank you for bringing me here.
As I couldn't sleep last night I decided that a middle of the night adventure to get a cache might be the very thing needed to help sleep arrive. And so just after midnight I set out to find this one. I had actually attempted this one the day before, but due to the high muggle factor (i.e - someone sitting on the side of the road just by GZ in their car on the phone), I decided to try again at a later date. Anyway, it was bugging me and so that is why I decided to come back to this particular cache. The find itself was quite straightforward and the view of the city lights was quite cool from up here. So thank you WackyB for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciated it.
I took the direct route from the car park area to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Blimey! You can see for miles from up here. TFTC
Lovely quick find here today, during my journey across the the big City to this area which is all pretty new to me !
Amazing how you have custom made these ! Thanks WackyB

A nice easy find here, we pulled over and clambered up the short slope and it was in the obvious spot. Looks well done - was this a custom job? If so, good stuff! Put back where it should go and quickly back to the car. Plenty of traffic through here on a Waitangi Monday but everyone driving very well and we had no problems easing back into the Maraetai bound traffic. TFTC.
Pulled up in the convienent parking bay and after a bit of discussion (ie I bet it's up there = oh no) Crusing5 and I decided to spilt up and take 2 different routes to GZ. In the time that it took me to follow the longer, easier (and most advantageous of the view) route, Crusing5 was already there with the cache in hand. After handing her the writing stick so that she could do the honours, the cache was soon tucked up back in it's bed and it was back to the car we went - again splitting up to take our preferred route.
Thanks for bringing us to a fantastic view of our ever-changing city!

A quick stop here with EmCeeKiwi. I took the direct route and she took the long route. By time she arrived at the cache destination, I had found the log and about to sign it. TFTC.
A cache that is 7 years old - amazing! Our first stop of the day we head out of Auckland for Christmas. T4tc
We were heading out to Omana for a meeet up so decided to pick up a few of the drive bys, this was the first cache we found of what turned out to be a 14 hour day! Once we were on the right level it was a nice quick find
This was the first cache we stopped by on our way to Omana for what turned out to be a verrry long day of caching. Took a bit to get the correct level and spot the great camo.
After finding Rocky Road 1 we decided to continue to number 2. After attending to the log we stopped to talk with the cows and enjoy the view. Great hiding spot.TFTC.
Great view alright. Lots of ants in the cache so we didn't sign it today.

Kiwi and Kiwiscot happy to hunt the cache down. Some very surprising views to be had right over to Rangitoto. TFTC
Found ... I was due over in Botany to run an errand ... decided to stop off here & see if I could grab this cache ... traffic busy, but ducked up the hill during a break in the traffic ... spotted the cache quickly enough, but it took some time to clear out the bugs, ants I think, from the general area & all over the cache ... in the end, it was easily found & quickly replaced ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,228 for us.
Out with lokky1 for the day. Heading to beachlands for a change and stopped off on the way! Quick find but the angry ants nest were not happy to see us!!
Out with Okayness after an event at Totara Park. A quick find once at GZ as had already found another "Rocky Road" earlier. TFTC
Vistra and I were headed to Duders and the East coast for the day, this was a quick scramble up the bank in the dark, quick find and slide back to the car. TFTC

Yorkshirekiwi83 and I decided to head out to Duder's Regional Park for a walk and some caching today, stopping for this cache on our way out. A nice quick find of the nicely made cache at GZ. TFTC!
Visibility is great today, I opted for the genteel approach, rather than the scrabble.
Was rewarded with great views.

TFTC. GPS sucked on this one. Fortunately I knew what to look for & the logs had some clues.
Out with Biartch79 today picking up a few caches. Have done a few "Rocky Road"s now and have enjoyed them. Parked right net to GZ and very quickly realised where we needed to be. So off we went, having a bit of a giggle at the whole experience. Got to GZ where it was sitting nicely there waiting for us. Lovely view. The trip back to the car was interesting too... lucky there were conveniently- placed tree branches, and plenty of stepping stones, or else we would have had a nice wee slide!

I was distracted by the view, but then got down to business and found the cache. TFTC.
Another rocky find. Great views from GZ, I could see all the way across to the Manukau Heads from here!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Found as part of team Stik-a-crane now logging under my own name. I was there to make the find but want to create a map and history of my own unique kind.
After circling round and round going back and forth feeling like we were looking in a "pine needle in a stack" we went back to the description and "the light bulb came on" as to what we were looking for and cache quickly retrieved - #208
we have tried one of this set #4 in the past (at a different location) and posted a DNF (along with several others) then recently it was found - and after this find we are off later to day armed with more info after having been here for a second look

TFTC, log signed & cache returned safely from whence it was found.

Out for an afternoons caching. First find of the day. Not great weather but still a pretty fine view. Sky Tower just visible.

A few quick night caches on an overnight stay in Auckland. Great views just as the sun was starting to go down. TFTC
Number 17 in the challenge to get a find a day in the 31 days of geocaching for August 2013. As usual another fantastic camoed cache by WackyB. Also a cache not placed "just anywhere" for the sake of placing a cache, but somewhere that has a good view as a point of interest..... I think we can all learn from WackB's caches!!

Dad and boys went for this one - terrible weather, so didn't have a chance to soak in the view (were too busy getting soaked themselves!)
Dad spotted it, and pointed it out for 8YO to unveil it.
Nice and quick - perfect for this sort of day!

We were in the area and realised this is another Rocky Road we hadn't completed. Ryan did the honours here as mum's knee wasn't up to the GZ. Nice and quick and excellent to get another WackyB cache found. TFTC
found it today (Seth-Raven was snoozing in the car) new what to expect and the view was GREAT . . . . TFTC
It all makes sense now, cool camo. Sorry, I didn't have my camera to upload an image. TFTC
A grand vista... and looking at the construction in the vicinity it may not be rural for too much longer. Excellent cache, thank you.
Another good view, another cool cache. But really easy finding some of the other rocky roads. tftc
love home made camo caches. A bit undecided about stopping here today, but found a park between the cones and no workers on the reconstruction zone so the decision was made!
