Wow, I can get behind in logs as of late. I just cannot find the motivation to log them at this stage. Well either way why was I in this neck of the woods, well to be completely honest I was in need of some nice walking to hatch some eggs in pokemon go. And I thought to myself that if I do a lap and find a cache for each day I am up in this area then surely it would be worth it. (Yes I know that it was slightly generic for the past week I just felt like playing pokemon go).
Ah I certainly took the long way to work today haha, after doing most of the other caches in the reserve that I know of this week this was one of the last ones that I needed, so with my hiking boots on and my phone all ready I quickly made way to this multi. After a mix up with one of the clues I found myself in an area that was a little to close to the GZ of the other multi but after a correction in my co-ords corrected I was soon to make the find. Anyways thanks for the cache and the little walk around.

### **OWNER ACTION NEEDED?** ###
Perhaps it's time for the cache owner to make a visit to this cache as it would appear to be in need of owner intervention. I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Geocache maintenance is a cache owner responsibility and includes regular visits to the cache to ensure it is in proper working order. Your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be greatly appreciated by all geocachers, have a read here: [Cache Maintenance Guidelines.](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance)

The guidelines advise; **if you can't fix it straight away then Disable it till you can.** This Help Centre article tells you how it can be done; [Temporarily Disable and Enable.]( http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 )

**Please respond to this situation within 28 days - so as to prevent the cache from being archived.** Sad

If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and **indicating a date** when you believe you will have the issue resolved. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to date, or the cache will be treated as an abandoned and archived without further notice.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable ](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

Out for a little ride on my own while the wife's at work and kids at school. Nice easy little multi. Unfortunately, the container is not so waterproof and the bag containing the log was not sealed properly. Emptied out about a centimetre of water, signed the soggy log and added a toy.

Inside of container had about a centimetre of water in it, and bag containing log was not sealed properly. Log was pretty soggy.

As a relative newcomer to the area I'm afraid I don't remember this reserve without the freeway carving through it. After an equipment fail on a nearby cache I was able to divert past this one on the way back to the car. Read the sign with interest and once I crunched the numbers I was pleased to see it was close by. Had enough time to make my way to GZ where I spotted the cache pretty quickly before having to head back to the car. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache C@H.

07-Dec-16
Today we explored Cranbourne and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. After working through the muilti Mrs "T" came up with a set of co-ords, an easy find at GZ.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

11-Nov-16
found it. I'm sure I took the long way to get here but it was a nice walk anyways. Nice spot Tftc.

14-Oct-16
Over 5 months of unlove on what was a fairly easy cache, even counting the fact that I walked past the memorial and of course then couldn't find the easy trail to the cache.
Thanks for the cache CovertHypnosis
Hunter

PS. Container and log is a bit wet, however I emptied the water as best I could.

It is such a wild windy day but came here to find this cache during my lunch break. On my approach to WP1 I wondered what sort of memorial I would find out in the middle of this park. It only took a moment to see. Gathered the required information very easily and was fortunate that GZ would be on my way back to the car. The cache was a bit damp but was able to put my name to it. Our little team headed out for the first time in awhile, determined to make amends for our last effort with this cache. This time, the correct name was used and we dashed off to GZ..... and couldn't find anything! What was it with this one? 10 minutes of searching and even Mum was declaring this our personal nemesis....... but then Dad re-checked the co-ords he'd punched into the phone........

Funnier how much easier it was to find once we arrived at the **correct** GZ Smile
We signed the log, and emptied the container of a large amount of water that had made it's way in, before heading off for another adventure nearby. TFTC.

Well the Mega is over and time to pack up and head for home. I joined forces with a group from SA and had a ball for four days find many caches and now the job of logging all.
My caching buddies left at 5AM this morning so after cleaning up the unit it time to grab a few caches before hitting the free ways.
Time for one more and this was it so with what I hoped was GZ I headed off and there it was but the log book is fairly wet but it is still writeable.
Thanks C@H for placing this cache.
Time to hit the road.

13-Sep-15
Another nice compact multi. Seemed like there was some room for interpretation in one question at WP1, so naturally opted for the wrong interpretation initially [can't help wondering whether the preceding DNF did the same], but tried the other option and all was well. Thanks C@H!

05-Sep-15
Not sure whether it was the cloud cover or just our GPS packing up, but after easily locating WP1 and solving the puzzle, we had no luck finding GZ or anything that resembled the clue. Another attempt will have to follow soon

Spiffy- and I headed out for what is becoming as regular Sunday Arvo cache run. Collected the clues and found the cache as dusk was setting. TFTC

31-Aug-14
Today we continued what is becoming an enjoyable and fairly regular Sunday afternoon caching run and today was another afternoon of getting at least 6 multis in the day for a challenge cache we want to collect on a future road trip in a few weeks. Today the weather was absolutely perfect and was great to get back into wearing the shorts again so we could get plenty of scratches on our legs.
-----------------------------------------------
We were on a roll now and already had 7 multis but were having fun so we continued on and arrived at the start point and parked the car near the gate and headed into the reserve.
After gathering the clues we then headed off and did the other multi just up the hill a bit then returned back to this one on the way back to the car to find a very wet cache but luckily the log book was nice and dry so make sure you close that zip lock bag well when returning.
Thanks C@H for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Solved this one about a year ago but every time I have been back, there was either bush walkers, joggers or working crews about. Finally got it today so Woo-Hoo!

Find #1361. Found @ 12:25 with LouiseAnn.

Today's plan was to join forces and venture south towards Frankton to focus on multis for LouiseAnn's March Multi challenge.

I'm not sure we went the intended route to WP1, but made it there we did. An interesting item, and we weren't sure if we were paying our respects to a geo-woofer or muggle.

At GZ I found a pen sitting nearby, but left it for the next finder.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache CovertHypnosis.

Since I have declared March to be Multi Month, SirJ-Oz and I decided to head down to Frankston and collect some multi caches. This was one of them. I'm not sure we approached this cache from the best direction, but we made it in eventually. When we arrived the place to collect clues we discussed what the memorial was for, a person of a dog? We picked this cache up at 11:25am. It was only a short distance away and was found quickly. We walked back a longer but easier way.

Thanks for the cache C@H.

Following a rather tortuous route while trying to find our way back to the Peninsula Link trail, we somehow ended up here Surprised. In order to make the journey worthwhile, we decided to collect the clues of this one, if not just to put in the final coordinates for a later time. Thankfully though, GZ wasn't too far away so we soon had the stash in hand at 13:50.

Find #4 of a joint ssmc4 & EuDes bike-riding caching adventure along the PLT (which during the day brought up my 1500th find milestone).

Well this one was an adventure! We'd somehow made our way here from the PLT trail on the other side of the freeway and had "fun" navigating the rocky, muddy, sandy tracks on our bikes - with me on a road bike with 23c tyres Surprised EuDes spotted the sign at WP1, deciphered the clues and made our way to the GZ for a straightforward find. Hallelulah!

Thanks C@H.

Find # 2491

After a bit of a restless night due to very hot overnight temperatures, my caching partner in crime, SedgwickDave picked me up at 9.30 and we were headed for Frankston and the surrounding areas to pick up a few caches along the way.

While in the park gathering some of the other caches, I decided to grab this one as well. Dave had already found this one, so he left me to fly solo. A nice basic multi, the cache was found without any trouble or hint.

Thanks to C&H for the cache. TNLN.

Another great TDC / LLTRA caching night. About 30 or so finds for the night, including some big caches needed for the P81 combinations. The bikes were out for these caches. The night ended up heading down the Mornington Peninsula cleaning up a few more unfound caches. As always, a great night, lots of fun and great conversation as always. Beautiful weather coupled with nice cool temps made a perfect caching night...

It was a bit of fun indeed. Found after a bit of adventure, nice cache. Thanks Covert.

22-Oct-12
The Demolition Crew and the Rebel Alliance (LLTRA) teamed up once again for a night of caching fun on bikes and foot. The early evening was focused on gaining two more squares for the D/T matrix by bike which saw us climb a few big hills in the Lysterfield area. The remaining part of the night’s caching saw us in an area where all could bag a fair number of finds. I must say is getting harder to find such areas with all of us having cleared large areas of Melbourne. This time we headed south to the Mount Martha area of town. Well this was a bit of fun! We tried to get to this one from the east, but a new bypass blocked our way. A few wildlife runs were spied in the massive structure, and like rats up a drainpipe, the crew found its way to GZ and signed the log.

nice walk in this park nice and quiet easy to find cache great words on post thanks

27-Aug-12
Heading back to my car from "Let's Go Fishing for a Cache" I decided to grab this one also. I worked out a set of co-ords and proceeded back the way I'd come. Spent a good 15 minutes searching this location when I decided I had made a mistake and so sat down and tried a different set of co-ords. This new location was about 600m from where I was and well off the track. I thought, "nah, that can't be it. No geocache would be way out there." But as I was at the park and it was a nice day, I proceeded to "Go bush". I was right. I couldn't have been more wrong. Razz
Back to the first WP, I tried a third set of co-ords and they weren't far away at all and on my way to my car. Within 3 minutes, I had the cache in hand. I reckon I walked about 1.5km further than I needed to, but it was a nice day and I could certainly use the exercise.

I don't know how water got into this cache container, but the log was quite damp. Still signable/stampable, but if the CO wants to preserve the log, I suggest the log be retrieved and dried out.
A corner of the zip lock was torn and so I replaced it with a spare I was carrying and have brought the torn one home to put in the rubbish. (See photo).
Hope this helps.

I enjoyed a nice wander around the reserve today, it is a nice peaceful area. At one stage I could hear some of the large vehicles constructing the nearby Bypass, so I am guessing it is going to get much louder around here soon! It was good to see the pleasure that this area has brought to others. Thanks for the cache.

Did this one has I was in the area for another cache and enjoyed the walk into GZ. Notice what may of been other cachers in the approx area of GZ, but after gathering the info required saw that they had move on. A quick find after a brief scan of the GZ area. TFTC C@H a nice easy multi.

26-Oct-11
A quick find after doing the nearby "Let's go fishing". Just as I went to grab the container, some form of wildlife that was nestling the cammo made a dart for cover which startled me a bit - not sure what it was but thankfully it didn't show itself again.

Our first attempt. We found what should have been it but nothing there. Maybe didnt dig deep enough? We came from the far side across the reserve, almost lost our GeoDog who decided to swin the creek rather than cross danger bridge with her two two leggers. With work on te link beginning to ramp up I suggest forget about trying to get in from that side use the Pines side. Its a great reserve weve seen Wallabies in the dawn light and echidnas about 5 times. When confident will set up a cache on that side. Got to find a good landmark though...

I took the walk from the nature reserve carpark after tackling the trig and another cache nearby. The track that starting from the nearby street corner isn't as wide or well-defined as the park ones, but not hard to find with an OSM map (look for the anti-motorbike? barriers across it and you know you're on track). After the first waypoint I made my way to GZ but my attention was grabbed by a loud splashing noise from behind some bushes. As I approached there was a very large dog, like a wolf hound, splashing around and rolling in a puddle. I thought it was going to get aggressive but it took 2 steps towards me and then decided to run off in the other direction chasing birds. Strange. The cache was a nice simple find after that.

Thanks,

My first ever cache! Found it about 10.45am. Left a little plastic sword, took nothing.

Walking is part of the physiotherapy I'm doing at the moment so this looked like an ideal cache to get a bit of exercise. We parked the car and wandered off to wpt1 among some very relaxing bush land that was remarkably quiet being so close to suburbia. After paying our respect and having a discussion on nick names we soon had a set of co-ordinates and headed off to gz for a nice easy find. It seems a shame that such a peaceful setting will be destroyed so we can get home and sit in front of the TV 15 minutes earlier
Thanks CovertHyonosis for the cache, the setting and the walk

Found at 1.15 pm with Jyetara after a chance meet at Oliver's Tryst. So a doubly pleasant stroll through a place we probably would not have visited otherwise, another of the things we like about geocaching. Many thanks CovertHypnosis. TNLN. We found our 1st CovertHypnosis cache at 4:05pm as the 7th of 10 on our Cranny to Franny Afternoon Saunter. TomTom was trying to get us to take an extremely long walk to this one and by the time I realised what she was trying to do, we ended up with quite a lengthy drive around. We arrived at the nearest point and enjoyed the walk into this cache. I loved the irony of the fences that had been constructed in and around the area to keep pedestrians from destroying the plant life by walking off track. Do they maybe think that laying a 4 lane bitumen freeway over this land may do a little more damage than the few walkers who use the area? Thanks for the cache from D, H & H B-A.

I'd made an error with what may be argued as the difference between a name and a 'nickname', and that put me about 400m or so too far south. Anyway, not to worry, my incorrect co-ordinates taking me to an elevated area with expansive views (but no cache!) - a spot that may well be worthy of another Frankston Bypass cache perhaps, or at least a view of the bypass, whenever it's completed? Anyway, fast running out of light, I reworked the answers and successfully located the cache. I grabbed the little keyring torch thingy, which I was in dire need for now, left a packet of pencil leads and a highlighter. SL at 6pm. Thanks CovertHypnosis for the cache, a nice ‘extended’ tour of the area for me today, but well worth the miscalculation! Regards, 38degsouth.

It was a lovely day for a drive today and as The Swaggies needed some relief from the pressure of work we gathered up all the gear and packed a picnic lunch and headed off with the intention of a day in the country. But we did not get there............
After getting the taste of doing a multi again, we decided to get a few more today as well. Anyway we had a pleasant walk in with some of the dog walkers but they soon left to chase their dogs while we found your cache. Another nice area we had not been to. Pity it is going to be bulldozed to make way for a freeway though.

Nice easy find after a pleasant stroll in on a lovely day for caching. I took the Travel Slug geocoin and left a Firesafe geocoin. Great first cache.

Thanks for the cache and for the walk.

We had a pleasant stroll to WP1 and the interesting information. The other members of the party desperately tried to do the calculations while c-pprass wandered off to find the cache without them. She was momentarily diverted when we met up with the owner of the cache, so our calculating was not in vain. Took 'Cheese please' TB. Thanks CovertHypnosis, we enjoyed meeting you and doing your cache.

I wasn't sure about the best access to this one - but I think I picked the best spot as it was only about 300m from where I parked - and a nice stroll through a bit of bush too. In typical fashion (for me), I got to GZ and didn't realize it was a multi - so spent some minutes hunting around before reading the cache notes and getting back on track. After this, the cache turned out to be a nice, quick find Smile.

Thanks CovertHypnosis - a nicely laid out multi.

Found at around 4.45pm GAFF1 in the company of Squalid. Today we decided to take it easy and just do a bit of maintenance on one of our caches in Black Rock and as we were in the area we hooked up with Squalid for a bit of caching down the peninsula. Got to this new one and just after we worked out the co-ords from the first WPT we were "sprung" by the owner and his friend who just happened to be walking by. We had a good chat about how we got into the game and then moved on.
Thanks for the cache CovertHypnosis - and it was nice to meet you.
ps - hope the cache will be there for a few years at least before it gets bulldozed!

FTF @ 23:30 hours. WHOO-HOO!

Lucky to get out to this one tonight. PC not working, and just decided to check my email via webmail on my wife's MacBook before I went to bed - 22:34 - new cache published ...

Charged out the door and headed to the reserve. My biggest problem with this cache was trying to get in the gate at the recommended entry point to the reserve - it would not budge! Gave it a kick, and then the latch loosened up. Once in, a pleasant night stroll to the first point. Gathered the clues and then quickly found the cache, which was being watched over by a couple of large kangaroos - well, they sounded huge.

Back at the car, I saw a vehicle driving towards me just a little too slowly to be a local. I turned off the engine, made sure all the lights were off and cowered down low behind the wheel. The vehicle did a U-turn and disappeared up the street.

I drove off, but noticed the vehicle parked off the road next to another entry point to the reserve. Methinks I know who this might be ...

I take a peek inside the cabin and see a cache-type container on the floor. Then I head off into the bush towards the first waypoint. As I approach, I can see the glow of a torchlight. Deciding not to remain hidden before pouncing on them as they completed gathering the clues, I scrunched my feet on the track and approached out of the darkness cheerily ... and cheekily ...

I'm sure I heard Rigger64 curse ...

I followed him to his quick find just in case he got lost.

TFTC. I love doing these bush caches at night. FTF is a Birthday Bonus too.
