A fav... cos "madness takes its toll" and "we're all mad here"! A little mad working out coordinates, the d hint didn't show itself, but we counted ok anyway! Great views. And some interesting history. Gz cache looks like something has bitten part of the lid off. But log intact. Left Tb. Off caching somewhere different with Purrfect Di and Jack. Thanks to the C O for the hide and ongoing care of the cache. --------- Have you snagged a tag lately ? Time to get out and join the race to get new shiny things A cache a day keeps something away *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Very nearly a full year since the last reported discovery, Im pleased to report that this cache is still in place and ready to be found.I did the calculations for this one about six months ago during warmer months, with the GeoKids. If I remember correctly, it took a few attempts and recalculations until we were presented with a satisfactory and likely GZ. One or two of the questions presenting somewhat ambiguous results.Nonetheless, approaching today I was happy with my chances, provided the container remained in place. Though the container itself is looking a little worse for wear, the logbook remains intact. Thanks for the history lesson! I grew up in this area many years ago, so its nice to learn a little bit more about the Asylum.
A lovely stroll learning about the about the area and enjoying the sunshine on this glorious winters day. Chatted to a few locals walking their dogs and they shared their history of area. Good times.
I did not find this I swear that these are the right cords

Found it the second time. I would definitely take the hint to count the bricks in the drain for the answer to D as I had a different answer. Went on a wild goose chase as a result and had a good hour and a half walk in a nice area. Something with teeth has got into the bottom of the cache but I put it back with that at the bottom and it seems to avoid getting the contents wet: David
I had been in Camberwell for an appointment and wanted to find a Multi on my way home so I could tick the day off on a calendar challenge. Having failed in my quest in Hawthorn, I continued on to this one in Kew. Interesting how it happens some times... this cache hadn't been found since last July and then gets logged twice in the one day!
Thanks **jezarocks** for this interesting Multi.
Thanks **jezarocks** for this interesting Multi.
Was in the area so decided to do a quick multi. A lovely walk along some trails. Cache is easy enough to find, just watch out for bugs. However, the container itself is looking a little worn down with holes in the lid.

### **CACHE OWNER PLEASE NOTE** ###

Hi there jezarocks,
Just wondering if you have noticed the recent log by 'n0w0rries' (02/Jul/2022 ) which indicates this cache is OK and available to be found/signed?
Please remember that cache maintenance arrangements need to be proactive, not reactive. This means **regular** visits (by the CO) to check on the cache and not relying on or expect passing seekers to fix issues or replace missing caches.
Even though things may seem OK, there is still a need to remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute - see here: [**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and then Enable the cache - see this link: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) .
**I've Enabled the cache and removed the NM attribute for you on this occasion.**
**JUST A TIP:-** In case you are not aware, there is a Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own. Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Utter Madness!
Stumbling around in the dark.
Looking for signs.
Looking for plastic in the woods.
We should all be wearing straight jackets I say!
But then there are a lot of crazier things happening after dark; just not here, not tonight.
So, the info was gathered and the final coordinates calculated.
But that can't be right. You mustn't hide caches on the freeway. D'oh.
Back for a second try. I'm tipping this one would be much easier in daylight, without sore feet from a day of caching.
Second times a charm! The new coordinates look like a much more likely location.
So off we go, down the hill and in no time at all, the cache is spotted. Snug in it's hiding spot.
Everything seems to have dried out here now. Signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache jezarocks.
If you like, I'm happy to help you maintain this cache, or even adopt it from you.
I must be mad... lol

Continuing the nostalgia trips from almost ten years ago following today's cleanup and fundraising events, n0w0rries and I parked up and went for a wander.
It's a bit trickier to do this one in the dark, but we eventually found the correct answers, confirming my memory of roughly where the cache was hidden, and now I've recorded the solution just in case.
Thanks, jezarocks, for this insane trip down Memory Lane.

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
----------
I notice from recent log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of owner intervention
Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook. Unfortunately, there are one or more comments in regard to the state of the cache log for this cache, which leads one to the contention that the cache container is no longer weatherproof and hence is not Guideline compliant.
I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary to make the cache weatherproof
Any maintenance arrangements should be proactive, not reactive. This means that you cannot rely on or expect passing seekers to fix issues or replace a missing cache.
Please respond to this situation by **18th June** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

I needed a multi so set off for a find before the day was underway. I wasn’t sure of what to include for my answer to one of the questions but decided to double check it with the backup. Where was the backup question. I eventually found it, (not on the path to the next waypoint!) and completed the details. Off to GZ I went.
I had noticed the maintenance note before I left home so I grabbed one of the many replacement logbooks I had prepared for recent maintenance runs. Or so I thought. When I found the cache I reached into my pocket only to find the ziplock I had grabbed was filled with stash note cards instead of a single stash note and new log .
I opened the log and although damp I was able to open a page and sign the log.
Thanks jezarocks for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Well that was a tad soggy - the cache that is! Had a nice wandering peering into places not eyed off before. The 'establishment' is usually seen in passing from a vehicle so it left quite an impression and sense of expansive gardens and reminder of sorrows. This has been sitting in drafts for some time but at least they don't get damp in cyberspace!! TFTC (gather it's now replaced) and the wander.
Tftc - great walk around a historic place. Very productive gardens seen along the way and enjoyed the view of the city.
TFTC! A nice walk around the area. First time here.
We enjoyed our walk and made easy work of the multi.

I made a return to this one after a DNF to see what a few people have been finding and sure enough the first spot I checked, there is a 200ml sistema container albeit the lid has been a meal for some animal, no log as others have report so I signed a small logbook and placed it in the container.
**Thanks to jezarocks for placing this cache.**

Here is a cache that almost sent me around the bend and showed me too many of the local sights before I finally got D correct. I needed a multi for this calendar day, so giving up wasn’t an option. A quick and easy find once I had the correct numbers for GZ. Thanks for all the exercise jezarocks.
After taking the alternative route at WP2 I came with a plausible set of coordinates. A now non waterproof container with a few trackables were found at the GZ, no log to sign unfortunately.
Thanks for bringing to this wonderful bit of Kew history.
Thanks for bringing to this wonderful bit of Kew history.
I needed a non-trad today for a calendar challenge so headed over to this multi with snivelbert after lunch. I also had a backup solved puzzle cache nearby if we failed to find this one, as perusal of previous logs suggested it might be tricky. Indeed it was and our first guess at D was clearly wrong, even thought we had found what we thought was the relevant brickwork and come up with a sensible number. After a bit of trial and error and deduction, we figured out what it must be and headed over. On the way, we bumped into an former colleague of mine who I had not seen for many years. He was out for a jog and currently lives in the very building we had just been investigating. Unfortunately we were not able to take up his invitation of coming in for a coffee after his jog, but would have loved to take a peek inside. At GZ the cache was quickly found, or at least the wet soggy logless remnants of what was once a cache. I left a cube inside as my log. On the way back to the car we stumbled across the metal 'bridge' that was referred to in the cache description and all became clear. TFTC!
Had some troubles with D for sure and it doesn't work with the brick drain...or at least we couldn't get it to!! It almost foiled us as we ended up pursuing a waypoint on the eastern freeway...ha ha...wasn't going to be that! Applying a bit more logic we got there in the end...very clever with the fences (aka clue D). Thanks jezzarocks for a GREAT cache!! Only thing is there is no logbook only swaps inside!
Got coords correct I think, but no cache to be found! Replacement probably needed :/

I’m sure I was in the correct spot but there was no cache to be seen.

In the area today for an appointment, I decided I had to complete this multi I was halfway through last time I had an appointment nearby. Thanks for placing the cache jezarocks
The first I tried this cache I had the wrong steed with me. This time with mountain bike in hand... Not sure it was helpful either to be honest! But... Can you believe it?! I actually calculated the correct coordinates! Unprecedented!
TFTC!!!
TFTC!!!
D had me stumped, both with the fences (although in hindsight this was very obvious) and the bricks (I must have been counting the wrong ones because I got nowhere with this).
But with a little trial and error after a slight detour, I found it! Thanks for a very satisfying find

Today was big day out with AusFox; and Neville_devil. The plan was to get as many Multi's as possible for the day on either side of the cache of the year awards. I have always thought that I would never be able to achieve Multi month but we are giving it a red hot crack this month.
This was our last completed Multi before making it to the COTY awards event and there was great discussion at WP2. It was Neville_devil's eagle eyes that was the key here so when we were doing our calculations for GZ we were right on the money.
Thank you jezarocks for placing this multi

Had an early start to the day with Simsfamily and Neville Devil to make our way to the Cache of the Year awards and grab multi caches on route.
There's never a good history associated with Asylums except for ghost hunters once the asylums closes.
It was an interesting walk around the property. We had an issue with one number but we were still able to locate the hide.
Log signed and replaced as found

A nice little walk with a spectacular view of the city. Very interesting history behind the area, albeit a little sad. The cache lid needs replacing as it's broken. TFTC jezarocks
I have been meaning to do this multi ever since I started caching but just never seemed to get around to it even though it's not far from my eastern suburbs home. If I had realised that the parkland surrounding the Asylum was off-lead for dogs then I would have brought the geobeagles here years ago.
I found the clues for this multi before Christmas. However, I had trouble with a couple of them so must have calculated the co-ords incorrectly as they took me to an improbable location. Also, the geobeagles were getting bored as I pondered over a few of the clues so we headed off empty handed. After recalculating the co-ords when I got home I came up with a probable cache location that looked good on Google maps.
Finally back today with the geobeagles. After a lovely walk to my calculated GZ I found the cache after a brief search and signed the log at 5:10 pm. I'm not sure what I did wrong last time. [8)] As some previous finders have mentioned the container's lid is slightly damaged but the log and contents were fine. I took a domino and left a slinky.
Thanks jezarocks for the informative multi and for the well-hidden cache. Being high on a hill I have noticed the historic Asylum when driving down nearby Chandler Highway or The Boulevard. I loved seeing the magnificent building close up rather than at a distance and the city views along the trail were awesome, especially from WP1. The geobeagles enjoyed their off-lead walkies so we will be back here again soon.

Loaded the 'mix n match' bike in the car and headed off to complete the nearby series. It was a pleasant day and a lovely trail for the bike ride.
The information you provided was very informative and also depressingly similar to that of the Aradale Mental hospital where the site was chosen for a similar reason.
The Ha Ha wall you mentioned, was also used to bring the outside landscape into a view from the stately homes of the era thereby making the grounds appear larger. I think I like that idea better than keeping inmates in....

I’ve spent plenty of time around Yarra Bend but had never come here before. I wasn’t even aware that this grand building was the asylum, or that there were such great views from here. Thanks for bringing me here.
Cool July day after the CITO this morning but did the taxi run to Kew area for geokid. So took the geodog for a walk up this way. This multi was attractive for the off lead area. Also I happened to be one of the medical students here in 1987? when there were 2 wards still open , a psychogeriatric ward , an out reach centre and a ECT treatment suite. I even climbed to the top of the tallest tower up a log staircase for the view of town while here for 6 weeks thanks Jezarocks for maintaining this cache. Yes , one end of container has gone and I added a plastic bag for the slightly moist log. Fav point for the reminiscing.
A nice little area with great views and history and a neat little walk with the setting sun.
A quick find.
Took TB
.
Needs maintenance as lid has been chewed by a rodent!! It's destroyed but contents are currently dry.
Funny that this is the second cache we have found in this condition this week.
So a new container needs to be provided ASAP

My goodness this took a while. WP1 was ambiguous and so was the alternative, but I finally got there. Beautiful trees! Tftc
Very enjoyable multi, which I completed on my bike cycling from Fitzroy North. This was one of three I targeted in the area. I used the alternative option for question three which proved simple enough. Nice quick find at final. TFTC!
This was an entertaining multi. Not too long and not too difficult. I remember visiting this place when the asylum was converted into apartments.
It was such a beautiful day to be out caching. I couldn't figure out D so decided to take advantage of the drain/bridge option, but then couldn't find the trail to WP3 and ended up unknowingly taking the longer detour mentioned in the description! Being shortsighted I struggled to read the sign from the fence but luckily I got this right, because I found the cache at my calculated GZ! Thank you
I tried to find this cache quite a while ago without any luck. I decided to come back today, and, after re-calculating the coordinates, realised that I previously was a couple of hundred metres away from the cache! Nice cache, and thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
I honestly have no idea how I got here but I did, so I thought I'd park and see what caches were around and I was very happy that this multi was available. I had actually gone wrong several times and if I had realised, I would have been the other side of the fence and in the right place to note some data - like I said - no idea how I got here, lol.
I got the first WP fine and the WP with the sign, but the other data threw me and I went pretty wrong. I reached out to a previous finder for help, and one of my data points was wrong, but that fixed I thought I was ok .... Except I had spun my dial on the app incorrectly, and was 400m out.... When I fixed that , I found the cache... What a relief! Wet through in the pouring rain, I ran all the way back to my car (which was in the wrong Carpark actually) as I was rather anxious about cutting through the traffic to get home in time for school pick up, but just made it in time.... No idea how I got there though

I was in the ares and thought I'd try my hand. All went smoothly and although I noted down a couple of possibilities for the number of fences there was no need to second guess anything.
The view at WP1 really is tremendous and I paused to take a photo before embarking on the cache proper. Spring also afforded another photo-worthy moment which I've also attached to this log.
Thanks for bringing me here jezarocks.

What a great walk for this one. was not sure about counting fences but ended up getting it right. tip for future cachers: you need to walk down the brick drain for about 50m before you can spot the "bridge".
I've had some appalling luck with multis recently so it's nice to finally have one go entirely smoothly. I actually walked up to the starting coordinates to do something useful instead of standing around idly waiting for juvenile delinquents to move away from another cache in the vicinity. I'm glad I did. I ended up taking advantage of the bonus verification measure suggested, as I wasn't at all sure of the correct answer at WP2. I apparently got everything in order and my calculated coordinates took me to a place where I almost instantly spied the cache and picked up a TB for the first time in aeons [Speedy]. Thanks jezarocks!
Last week, I found all the waypoints easily and the clues, but at GZ a gardener and his dog were nearby and the dog barked at me every time I tried to find the cache. So I left and came back today. I searched for about 5 mins but didn't find it. Will try to find it again.
Made use of the check of digit D and lucky I did as it made it obvious my original D and E were wrong. A quick find once at GZ. TFTC
My morning trips to work have been becoming more diverse recently as I have had to travel further and further off the beaten track in order to pick up my daily cache...
This morning, a quick trip along the Yarra Boulevard had me avoiding Cyclists and Tacks with ease (although those cyclists riding at 5km/h up a hill whilst 2 abreast really should be a little more considerate of other road users......) and I ended up turning off into the Kew estate and parking nearby.
As I headed to WP1 - I indeed took in a marvellous view of the city - I will come back for more photography from this point in future as all I had today with me was my phone camera. (see attached)
The cache didn't drive me mad, but as I see this place each day it is interesting to know a little more about it now. The similarities up close in architecture between this and the Royal Exhibition Buildings are somewhat striking. Period engineering at its best!
The cache final WP was found and were it not for the swarm of small insects which attacked me it would have been an all-round pleasant morning stroll. But it was good nonetheless and a fitting place to drop a doggie TB which likes to go for walks and to interesting views.
Thanks Jezarocks for the cache here and for the fun. I will remember this each time I drive past.

Twas a lovely day for a picnic, so we headed out and grabbed a cache on the way. Not having been here before it was interesting to look at the building. We made a few assumptions at WP2, and they turned out to be correct and we were finding the hide before too long. Thanks for bringing us here and getting us out and about today.
Out for a cache for the day and decided to get 2, two multi's this being the first.
What a magic walk, past the view of the city and on through the enchanted forest gathering clues as I went.
Arriving at GZ to find a magnificent old #$%^@!( tree, not many of these around these days.
Thanks for creating this cache jezarocks

An interesting adventure. I did the calculations and found the cache on the first attempt, but needed the supplementary 'brick drain' clue.
I hadn't realised that this building was purpose designed. Previously I had assumed a wealthy philanthropist had donated the building to be used as an asylum.
Thank you for a great cache.

I am usually terrible at these sort of multis. If there is an ambiguity, I will follow the wrong path. I almost did here too, but thankfully the second-chance descriptions served me well. It was a very nice walk to get the waypoints and the final. Thanks for the history and for bringing me here. Left a TB that I brought back from New Caledonia. You'd be mad not to give this cache a go.
Find 1416 at 15:23. I was out caching with 2poons today and we were on a mission to clear out the remaining caches around Yarra Bend Park that had been left over from previous runs. There were a few long walks to get to some of the caches, but it was a great day out and about. All in all we managed to find 13 caches today and this was find number 5.
I never actually realised that there was previously a lunatic asylum here. The clues were straightforward and we soon had the container in hand. Thanks for the cache, jezarocks!

This is one of the few caches between home and the city and so it was on my list to do. Today was a fine day and so I set out this holiday afternoon. I parked in Main street close by and walked to WP1. Having then collected the info I continued on. I was not sure of one of the answers but it checked out as correct. Rather than continue on to Gz after getting all the info I walked back to the car and drove to Gz. At Gz I looked for a spot matching the hint but could not find one. I then recalculated the co-ords and found the mistake. A short walk later and I was at the right spot and quickly found the cache. We worth the outing. Thanks jezaroacks

It was a beautiful after-work afternoon for a walk. I had parked at Bell Bird park and walked up to WP1. I had a wonderful meander to WP2, WP3, and then retrieved the cache. A great way to spend some time. TFTC.
Good walk around with great views of the city - found it after trying once before
I started this from the carpark in daylight at 6pm , finding the final cache by torchlight at 6:30, thanks for the brick count double check , I had the original number wrong, cache quickly spotted at gz, thanks for the walk through here
Thanks for the interesting history and enjoyable walk around the area. A really good cache.

In Melbourne for appointments today. Normally a dreaded trip from the country to the big smoke for us. But add a lovely multi like this and the day takes on a whole new face. Really enjoyed being taken here and the history lesson involved. Many thanks.
This multi brought me to a beautiful bit of park land but near drove me mad after bodging up wp2, ah come on I wasn't the only one. I rechecked my numbers and did some more maths but still ended up too far away, reworked the numbers again and finally got a final wp closer on my gps. Headed over to check and bingo, co-ord's where bang on. Thanks jezarocks for the cache and for highlighting the history of this grand old building and it surrounds.
Not far from the car park is a fantastic view of the city - well worth the visit even if you aren't able to find the cache. Lucky for us we got all the maths right and the cache was soon in our hands. TFTC
Out on an afternoon caching run along the Yarra. Grabbed the info from WP1 after picking up a nearby solved puzzle and finished this off after we got further down the river. TFTC.
Got a number wrong so ended up on a wild goose chase! Eventually worked it out after counting the brickwork and a bit of walking later found it. TFTC!
Found @ 20:10. I'd been to "end of month beverage and pizza" in Kew with some of the work people. I hadn't consumed an excess quantity, but figured I could do with a walk as driving in peak hour tends to be insane. So instead of traffic madness in Kew, I decided to grab caching Madness in Kew.
I parked at the designated spot, then wandered to WP1. With such a magnificent view, I felt compelled to take a picture (and grab the numbers).
Off to WP2, and I found the myriad of paths quite confusing. I ended up having to do some (pedestrian) cross country off roading to get back on track. I grabbed more numbers and continued to WP3.
I intended to check my number using the method described in the instructions, but went the wrong way. However, once at WP3 I was able to gain a different perspective (and refined my value accordingly). Grabbed the last numbers, then performed the numerical manipulations to wrestle the final coordinates from my gathered digits.
Once I got close to GZ, I was pretty sure where the container would be. Sure enough it was in the second place I looked.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache jezarocks.

A beaut cache, and one I'm glad i could do with the two dogs in tow as i didn't have to enter the walls odd this great place to complete the cache! Ended up being quite a decent old walk in the end too. Tnln tftc!
Wonderful small paths all around, they seem to be busy with dog walkers.
But quiet around the Way points, thanks for showing me this angle of the madness, who ever designed the roads and some homes, must have spent some time in there.(lol) [:x]

It was a beautiful evening to be out walking tonight and I was finally able to have a go at this multi. Every time I have been in this area it has been dark which makes "long looking" tricky! Anyway, parked in teh recommended spot and walked to WP1 which was found easily. Then off to WP2 which was an interesting walk, WWP3 very straightforward then worked out a set of coords which seemed ok, if a bit further away than I expected. Quick recheck of maths saw no obvious error so headed off. Got to GZ and thought "how about there" and there was the cache. This is certainly a well put together multi with fantastic views and a very pleasant walk. Thanks to jezrarocks for this one.
Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

Multi day with the twelve-year-old... I suspect she wasn't rapt with the walking on this very warm Spring day, but you've gotta drag yourself away from the computer occasionally.
Another walk to showcase a property that I've been meaning to take a closer look at for ages, and never gotten around to. The shade made it a good choice for today, and the views of the city and river absolutely stunning.

This was a really pleasant walk with some great views of the city. It was interesting to see this magnificent historical building, it is hard to believe that it has such a sad history.
Having found the cache, I took the two trackables to move along and left another in their place.
Thanks jezarocks for the cache.

Yahoo ! Beautiful sunny winter day - ms r, mr 11, ms 9 & mr 7 - great find and locale
We found this cache on a Sunday afternoon hike through Yarra Bend Park... The view of CBD at WP1 is stunning and finding the answers for all waypoints is not very difficult!!!
So, thanks a lot for showing this lovely spot and TFTC
In: 2 geocoins, 1 fav. point
Out: nothing

A great sunny day for a walk and really enjoyed doing this multi-cache. The double check on the fence was good to do.
We searched for hours then we thought we had it but sadly we didn't then we found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I collected the clues and calculated gz yesterday while out and about and stopped in this morning on my way to work for a quick find. I loved the walk and the views of the balloons floating over the city are brilliant. It always amazes me that we have this bushland setting just a short distance from town and with such fantastic view. Thanks jezarocks for the cache, the walk and the view.
Wow very impressive huge building.
Thanks for bring me here and interesting multi.

26/11/2011 14:55 Dropped the wife off for her regular work shift and thought I would try amulti on the way home, despite the drizzle. Nice walk at an are I had seen for years, especially from the freeway but never visited. Got to the carpark and started the walk. Found WP1 easy and went off to WP2. Must say that I am glad that you provided and alternative as its hard to get the correct number from this vantage point. Did the math but as usual I made a mistake and looked at the GPS saying I had a 1.54km walk. re-checked my numbers and this time put the correct number in for J. Only a couple of hundred meters to go and off I went. When I was about 20m from GZ I spotted a likely location which I checked. Hmm, not here, so moved to another spot. Nup, decided to check thye GPS and moved to 0m. Oh. Back where I started. This time I did a more thorough job of looking and there it was. Stamped my name and re-hid. Thanks for bringing me here.

Had to get the boys and the dog out of the house because they've had a pretty boring day. This cache is nearby and and was perfect for a pleasant spring evening. Found all the clues then let the boys (raffa27815 and lobster6 7) run down and find the cache. Which they did then hid it again so we had to find it. Which we did with no trouble. Especially ad they were standing right next to it. They made some wands and did Harry Potter spells all the way back to the car. A great experience all round. Thanks so much for the cache.
Took raffa27815 lobster6 7 and geodoggie Bonnie on a gorgeous daylight savings stroll around this extraordinary edifice. I had a few teaching sessions here with Dr Herbert Bower, also an edifice. Perfect evening, restored my sanity after crazy caching up trees last night after a few drinks, and after one of those four-seasons-in-one-day Melbourne days.

Excellent multi, this one. Just the right length for a nice walk (with my bike) this morning. Grabbed the geocoin for an upcoming trip, left a toy soldier.
What a fantastic building. It would have been quite an imposing sight to someone of doubius state of mind back in its heyday. TFTC. Left Aussie Geocoin
I think the location may have attributed to a little madness in our calculations because we had some trouble finding this cache. The first set of waypoints was Ok but finding the finals took some time as we misinterpreted the number of fences and we did not find the bridge till we were on the way back to the car. The GPS was all over the place, and in the end we rang a friend, only to find we had the correct set of coords for the final after all. After considering throwing the GPS in the drink we gave it one last go and it worked perfectly. Must have been something to do with the vibes coming from that place. We also found a tree very close to the boundary fence with a great big metal spike embedded into its trunk, looked like it had been there for 50 years! The mind boggles to think what that might have been used for. Found with wabi-sabi and kinkell1, thanks jezarocks for the cache.

Find 280
Did this one with The Swaggies, and a friend! Way point 1 was a breeze,as for the rest, a 20 minute round trip it was not. We didn't find the sand until the trip back to the car so I'm guessing we took the wrong path, but eventually the cache was found and the log signed. Thanks Iain for the help and Tilley TB thanks you for the ride back to the car
TFTC jezarocks, my last for the day as I was exhausted after it! By the time we got home it was pitch black and Tilley is now sound asleep and yipping about her day!

I was out this way having dinner with a work friend and her husband. My friends live in the Willsmere estate gated community, so as I dropped them off to their home, I snuck away and had a play in the park. At this time of night it was hard to determine the number of fences so I counted the bricks and jogged my way along the little path to find the cache in it's hiding spot. I love the views from up here and I've always wanted to by an apartment here. I loved the stroll after dinner, but now it's time for bed. Thanks jezarocks for this lovely little cache so close to home.
