This was the first cache in my walk and after a quick look at the right side I quickly tried the other side before easily finding the cache in the likely spot.T F T C PoliticalB0rg.I was in the area for work for a night so I looked for a couple of caches to find before grabbing dinner and picked the walk above Upper Hutt which turned out to have great views! Sadly I only got two of the three I attempted with two more that I didn't try today.
Came up here on my way to my target cache. Took in the great view down the valley while a couple strolled past, then proceeded to hunt for the cache. Coordinates are a few metres out, but simple enough to find the cache as per the hint. All good in container, tftc!
too much rubbish and muggles resulted in a dnf today. Had a brief look with no success
Found it yesterday when it was raining cats and dogs last one me and my friend got before we went to get out of the rain grate find
Many thanks! All good here- just wish I had a bag on me for the rubbish around the place. Up finding some caches before Master Seabreeze’s hockey match. Great view up here
Nice quick find. As log was full and damp we stuck in a new waterproof log inside small pill container to replace it
A bit of a bash to get to the cache, but eventually made the find. Cheers.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

It was an absolute stunner of a Wellington Spring afternoon here today. I had made my way down south to attend a job interview, which went so well they offered me the job there and then. So with an unexpected joy in my heart and spring in my step, I went out for an hour to see if I could fine some caches.
After my first attempt was a DNF, I strolled up here to see if I could have better luck with the few to be had. If nothing else, it was a location I had never been to and afforded me some great views.
There was no-one around when I got here so was able to enjoy the views as well as have a rudimentary scout around for the cache. I was wondering if I'd have to brave a few gorse scratches when I decided to try a different approach and then spotted a likely place. Sure enough the cache was soon in hand.
The log was dry, but I had to take a small space beneath the last finder as the log is completely full. My apologies, as this had been an impromptu visit I didn't have my cache kit on me otherwise I would have left some waterproof paper to be a new logsheet.
Thanks for setting this cache up, and for bringing me here today

Visiting in the local area so had to get the nearby caches. The view is good today unlike yesterday when it was in the clouds. Found after a short search. Thanks for the cache.

Thank you for bringing us here. Lovely day, gorgeous views. Out with igriffon. TFTC//
Came over to the Hutt Valley today to do an adventure lab and it was a good chance to pick up a couple of solved puzzles and traditionals while in the area. When I arrived at GZ I was a little surprised as I was sure that I'd been here before, but I didn't see my name in the log book, maybe I visited back when it was missing but didn't log a DNF? Anyway, it was a quick find today with nobody else around to wonder what I was up to! TFTC
Found with Vanjeans, who did the honours of wading through cutty grass. Excellent views here, that we wouldn't have found without geocaching. TFTC, greetings from Auckland
I've headed up here to look for this cache and taken in the view before, but last time I tried there was a muggle on the lookout platform who wouldn't go away. Actually, I think it was two muggles. Anyway, it meant there was no opportunity to do due diligence in searching unobtrusively for this well-hidden cache. Not like that today though. It was rather cold, light rain and a weekday, and little chance of muggles (or Geocachers for that matter) being out and about. I managed to locate the cache fairly quickly without getting too wet, or scratched by the foliage of the toetoe plants that seem to be growing here. Log was soon signed and cache replaced. Thanks TheB0rg for another cache. Love the name of this cache: I well remember getting grumpy about a property owner thinking they could arbitrarily 'rename' our city, presumably because they hoped it would mean more people wanted to lease shops in their shopping centre and I'm glad the name has subsequently changed again (under new owners) to just 'The Mall'. Was it really 10 years ago, as the cache date seems to indicate?
Visited this cache a year or to ago and was missing looked in the spot that we thought it was suppose to be last time and there it was. TFTC
Although the hiding place should have been obvious, it took us a while to spot it. A good view from this lookout. TFTC
I came up here for a drive after work. I had a long day in the office and I felt like some quality time in the great outdoors. In addition, I was able to wind down a bit during the drive.
I found the cache quite quickly so was able to get on with the walking, which was nice. I came back past GZ on my way back to the car after about an hour of having a look around. I located a few of the other caches in the area. I will save logging them for another day.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

After missing out on this one at last year's farewell event, I was determined not to miss it this year. There was a large group of us heading back to the car park but I was the only one to have not found this one, so I had a bit of an audience while I clambered down. The cache itself was a quick find anyway, and good to finally have this one as a smiley, and my last find for 2018. TFTC
Found on the way to Leprechaun’s 2018 Farewell. Poked & reached & even used light on phone, before noticed had rolled away. Replaced with stone in front. Thanks TheB0rg!
Quick find on our little round in this park today. Good view up here. TFTC. Sherlock Hood and Squirrel.
Found with pazzabella on our WENZ mega long weekend. We got a bit stuck here but after reading supernannys log pazza found it. Tftc
Up for the Mega for the week, had a great day in the Upper Hunt area and a quick trip over the hill,. many thanks to the cache placer's - Bitsprayer
Found with bkj97 on our second day of caching while attending the Mega. Thanks to all who had caches for us to find while exploring the adjacent area. Bkj97 dropped the pen on the way there so took photo and can provide on his log. T4TC
This was the seventh day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega: The big day of the Mega. Even though there were several Geocaching things to do, I decided to try for eleven types in one day.
While on a wild goose chase for the final of a multi we came here by accident. Fortunately, this cache soothed the pain. Mr-Mcgoo caught up with us and so he found the cache, too. TFTC.

Visiting Upper Hutt for WENZ 2018 Mega Event. Someone sneaked to the platform just when I was signing the log. TFTC.
Arrived at GZ by ..... mistake. Found during WENZ 2018 in Upper Hut. We had Multi cache to solve and I did my final calculations wrong .... TFTC!
(# 4743). It was such a lovely day to go for a walk up Kingsley Heights. Parked at the top and trotted off. The track was very quiet but did meet a couple of groups from Auckland who are here for the MEGA. For some unknown reason this one took a little while to find.. Everything in order. TFTC
Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there isn’t a lot of down time but it's great to meet the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip
It's finally Mega weekend!
Found while travelling with TeamBOP to the Mega event in Wellington.
A great view of the city lights. I tried out my new phone camera and was quite impressed.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Attending the Wellington MEGA, great to visit here from the sunny Bay of Plenty, these finds have been found with my team members, which include myself, NZ Flossy, Davidson Clan, Squirrel Nutcase, FapandGap, TNXPRO and Philip.Perry and signed Team BOP. (To save room on logs) We are having a blast and gathering lots of smileys along the way. Please excuse generic logs in advance. (as I have saved the template using Cachly) Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Cheers
In Wellington for Mega with others from the Bay of Plenty.
Signed log Team BOP to save room. The team consists of my self Tnxpro , Philip.Perry and McJandals. Quick find.

Looking back at the history of this cache there was really long time between when the cache went missing (during which I DNFed it) and when it eventually got replaced. But it looks like it need the "needs archive" to trigger a reaction. What's up with that? Anyway, good to see it finally replaced and indeed present on a rare return visit to Upper Hutt.
I needed to visit here twice because on my first visit a couple were making out on the lookout (get a room!) so I walked down to Aragon Grove to get the cache down there before returning here for a second try. The coast was clear this time so I went straight to where I remembered the expected hiding place to be and sure enough there was a new cache there. A little surprised to find it completely dry in this type of container with no bag.
A good place for a cache for sure so thanks for replacing.

We decided earlier in the week we were going to head towards Wellington instead of the Napier Hastings areas as previously decided to get some caches and get numbers up to be able to collect the Hidden creatures souvonairs. last weekend we got 32 so we need another 68. this is cache number 8 for the day, its always nice to explore another area we havn't been to before. it was a nice quick find here today, thank you for placing a cache here we signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it. TFTC now onto finding another cache.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Seems almost certainly missing. There is precisely one place matching the hint and precisely zero caches there. The evidence of a cache hide is there though.
Pretty sure we found the place for the cache but nothing there. Think either been muggled or away for maintenance.
Maidstone Park was where we first played rugby in the 1950's - Upper Hutt Bantams! These hills were where we went after the morning games. Knew all the tracks up here very well. TFTC. Cache and contents were very wet so had to leave a new page for the log - dried out things as well as I could.
Awesome cache spot but log was visible and completely soaked through attempted to add log !
What a great view! Cache was an easy find but we had to wait awhile to return it - a family of muggles arrived to enjoy the view. Thanks for placing a cache here.
On a lovely quite evening a top a hill, finding a beautifully hidden box of goodies. Nice location after an excellence walk.
There were several elderly muggles at the lookout so I had to go into maximum stealth mode and retrieved the cache with them none the wiser. Thanks very much for the cache.
Drizzly, the long grass was wet - had to think twice about going for this one! But it was a straight forward find. Unfortunately the cache was exposed and the lid was off, so there was a bit of water inside, but the log was perfectly dry. Replaced as it should have been. TFTC.
Nice quick find this morning on a bit of an explore around Upper Hutt. Great views from site. Thanks for the cache.
