Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

I had found the Nerang Forest Reserve caches a few years ago (but never logged them). So I decided to revisit these cache sites, and this time log them.
This cache is still present, nothing taken, nothing left.
But the written log water logged and a solid unusable mass. So despite the water proof container and plastic covering the log book has deteriorated.

I felt like a walk today to blow some cobwebs away.
And a good walk too with a quick find.
I was pleasantly surprised to find the log dry.

Almost six months since this was last found!
Locating GZ took a bit of work, there are so many trails in here. I did some bushbashing for the last 140m as the trail I was following was leading me elsewhere.
Logsheet was dry, TFTC!

Tftc. Nice easy find and in good condition. No pen so byo. Lost mine so just took a photo with it.
Great hike for this one, found with E:) and came home drenched from the storm, TFTC
Directions from entry would be great help. Or a map with a highlighted pathway to take. Can get lost very easy in here
As I made my way to this one from Casuarina 2 I was talking to my sister on the phone and actually overshot it by about 200 metres. I turned and made my way back and then headed down the hill a bit and soon found this one too. All good with this cache too, although no burning off has been done here (yet).
This is one of those that I had left thinking that it may be too hard for me. It was in fact a long but relatively easy walk for me. It would not be so in the summer. I met a large carpet snake nearby who was just slowly meandering along. Thanks eauman oz
After an easy start we enjoyed the climb up the hill to find this one. Only one person passed us on their bike on the way. What a fantasic area for recreation of all sorts.
Thanks eauman oz.
Thanks eauman oz.
Had done No.s1&4 a long time ago and wanted 3&2.Drove a bit further up and around a couple of corners and found another access,up and away I went, wow,it just kept going up to get the metres done but on I went, was rewarded with a cache, and all was well, now keep going for No2.TFTC.
Geo Wife and I headed out today just to do the rest of the Casuarina (MTB) series.
We had read all the logs before we even got out the door so we were as prepared as we could be.
We had done No.1 almost 2 years ago so we headed straight up the hill to No. 2 because we had read it was better going around this way.
We know that the distance from where you are to the cache is ATCF but it just seemed to extend then the GPS swung around so we had to make a decision about direction.
We felt that this was a trail series so we should keep to trails but when we got to the sign we made the decision that this was a Mountain Bike Trail Series not a fire trail series so we headed down the bike trail.
I was surprised how good the bike trail was so it was a very pleasant walk.
We spotted GZ as we approached and after a short search we came up with the prize.
The log was damp and the paper was falling apart so we added a few sheets and a bag of silica gel.
Thanks Eauman Oz TFTC SL

Went on a half day run, to revisit a few areas that I had either missed caches at or failed to find. Some top caches found, really enjoyed this little run. I was actually "kid free" on the day, which for me, was a bit of a miracle. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

Went on a great walk to grab these three caches, having done the first one, some years back on a visit to the Gold Coast. Walked in from #4 to get to this one. Nice walk and a quickish find. TFTC

A lot of friendly cyclists around! An easy find. Thanks for the cache eauman_oz!
Not sure that we (wife and I) did in fact find this cache. In the vicinty of the coordinates we found the metal frog sculpture photographed. The frog had a "mouth" which may have contained a small, thin logbook, but we found just the frog.
It seemed the main track was close to GZ so I left the bike on the side and walked over to it. A couple of riders went past me and looked twice but kept going. Happy I didn't ride the track now as they looked a bit more prepared and energetic then I. Walked past GZ until they were out of sight then went back. At first I thought I had the wrong spot, but it was deep. Log a little damp but ok.
Thanks Eauman oz
Thanks Eauman oz
Must have missed the correct track at the top of the hill for this one cos had to do a little track hopping to get here. Gotta love downhills!! Just getting to the tops a prob !! TFTC....
Put a new log in this one too. Looking forward to riding the mtb trail down the hill
I'm just slowly making my way south for a week-end out on the bike. The second day on the bike for me down the coast.
I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to do this series. I'm on a touring bike towing a trailer NOT a MTB.
This was the third of the series. This one was a quick find but it too was a soggy mess, too soggy to write on as well. The owner will most definitely need to give this cache a bit of TLC as well.

Out with owner on first ride post xmas. A stop to find a cache made for a good excuse to rest. Log wet.
Thanks Eauman_oz, only one left in the series to find now.

We got lost so many times, that I can't actually remember this cache very well. We left the main track to ride down small windy tracks which kept doubling back on themselves. This took us a lot longer than it should have. The GPS is really handy when finding caches, but my GPS didn't have walking and bike tracks on it. I wasn't going to come all this way and not find all the caches. Took nothing, signed log (soggy again).
After more up hill I was so relived to see we had to start going down!
When we got close to the 3rd cache we dumped our bikes and headed off on another short walk to GZ. My gps kept loosing the satellite so we had to turn back and look in the opposite direction. When we got going in the right direction we found it no worries. Again log was wet but managed to sign.

Hill was challenging, but view lovely. Found it easily, few spiders protecting treasure. Still without snakes so far.
Good old Fangsoki and his "I know boats" attitude. I continued on a path I had found from Casuarina Four - and then found a bit of a goat track going the right-ish way. Holy honking steep hill! "Yes only 400m to go Fangsoki .. good going that". I trudged slowly - thankfully no bikes came down this path while I was putting up it. I finally got to the top and managed to get to GZ. I found the cache after a hunt. A family of ants had set up home in the bag - but the cache and log itself were in good condition. TFTC eauman_oz
Luckily my GPS had the local trails marked as I did some bush bashing from the previous cache to find the track to this one.
Had to avoid some muggles on trail bikes on the way.
Found the cache easily once I got there and then off to the 4th cache in the area. (only 600m away)

Find number 298....Two down, two to go.
I decided to knock over these four caches in an arvo (on foot), the sun really starts to go down early this time of year. I decided I better hustle if I was going to knock over all four. (damn you hills)
Trekked up the hill, tracked down the cache and signed the log. TFTC
While signing the log another one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

A good afternoon bush walk, however I am not doing this in number order......Thanks for the cache eauman_oz
In hindsight should have done the these caches in numbered order as I slogged my way up a very steep bit of track. Had to stop a few times to recover my breath and lower my heart rate. [xx(] Would love to see a MTB go up or down this trail. Think I must have taken a wrong turn and may have picked a easier path for the climb. Once I reached the ridge, I found the dirt road and walked along this until I was level with the cache. Picked my way, carefully, across the scrub until I hit the trail visible from the road. I certainly earned this find for my 200th (including a few GCA caches). TNLN TFTC
I was out and about enjoying my stroll around the forest this morning
Glad I left the MTB at home
This cache was all uphill [:o]
I strolled the firetrail up the ridgeline until I was only about 20metres from GZ and headed in from there to find a mountain bike trail and a cache
This trails not as well used as the loop trail at lower elevations.
Hmmm!! Me thinks there be a few lazy MTB'ers out there who don't like riding up hills
Just like me
TFTC and stroll [^]

So I found 1 and 3 but not 2. Took almost exactly an hour to complete the series as a lunchtime run (with ten minutes spent fruitlessly searching for #2 and a number of double backs as the track headed off in the wrong direction). Pretty serious work out for the old legs, but I reckon if you're doing it on a MTB you'll be pushing it most of the way anyway!
There's moisture in the zip lock bag around this cache, but log etc in the cache is still dry.
Thank for this series of caches. Very much enjoyed the run, though the bush tick I picked up on the way was not a welcomed hitch hiker.

Found Casuarina Caches 1, 2, and 3. With mountain bikes we found Cache 1 quite easily and then followed GPS toward Cache 2. The unmarked trail we followed soon became unrideable and we ended up pushing our bikes along the path through gullies, over tree roots and up hills for a good 45 minutes before intersecting a nice graded road, only 100m away from Cache 2. With this in hand we followed the road to Cache 3 and then 5 minutes riding downhill at breakneck speed saw us back at the car. Moral to the story-follow signposted routes.

Second Cache for the day [read ever!]....off then to look for Cas III but ran out of time...Thanks...TNLN
After a big Mother's Day lunch we went off in search of Casurina Two and Three. We were intending to do this in the proper order but messed up on one of the many bike tracks that weave around the forest and found ourselves heading here before Casurina Two. Never mind, we quickly found the cache and then discovered a nice wide (and straight) 4WD road that took us pretty much directly to Casuarina Two. Geohound came along too and enjoyed a great walk in this lovely area, a 5km round trip in all. TFTC Eauman_Oz.
FTF - two in a row - great stuff. Had a small chunk of life scared out of me as I approached GZ, a clumsy echidna stumbled across my path -awesome animal. I was stoked to get all three in one go especially the two FTF's thanks again to eauman oz. Another good hide. TNLN
