Found it well hidden, but since a new house is going up in front of this cache we have chosen to archive it. For the sake of the new neighbours.
I searched for a good 15 minutes but nada. can anyone confirm it is still there?
Not keen on cannons but this was easier. I'm guessing due to the lack of muggles at the time. Tftc
I'm starting to hate gun caches! Luckily I made the find in under 10 minutes so this one was ok. The house being built nearby may be an issue when it is finished since the side facing the cannon is the front, which is almost all windows that overlook the cache. Great cache, well hidden. TFTC.
had a thorough look with my ma and sister for about half an hour couldn't find anything :/
Mr Tardis had a good look once around in all the usual places and didn't come up with anything. Then had a more thorough look and after 10 minutes came up wit a find
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Team Ransid and Friend.

Bloody cannons! At least its not a nano I guess... Still took me ages to spot the thing...

We had looked at this one last time down but it was MIA, today was a much happier result for us. SL TFTC
Quite busy for this time of the evening. Done many of these before but had this one in a couple of mins. Thanks team ransid.
Quick find after the girls climbed all over it. Muggle factor looks like it will increase dramatically with the new units being built on the same block. TFTC
Muggle free this afternoon so I was able to have a good look. Looked in a couple of obvious spots before finding the cache. TFTC team ransid
I was all set for a long search then a muggle showed up to read the real estate sign. He left and I soon had it in hand in the 2ed place I looked.
TFTC Team Ransid.

Lap one checking all the usual locations - nada.
Lap two rechecking all the usual locations - nada.
A hail mary look - bingo.
Thanks for the cache team ransid.

Stopped by after picking up little bellows. She found it after a bit of a look. Log book signed and sneakily replaced as people came to walk their dogs. Tftc.
The area is bit wasted because of disrepair. Or does the council have other plans for this area? Thanks team ransid.
It would,nt hurt for the council to smarten this park up a bit. Its a nice old war cannon in a run down spot which makes it a bit of a shame.found the cache all good.
Took longer than it should have but I found it. MANY muggles about today as there are netball courts across the road. TFTC!
I realise that looking for a cache container on this type of object at night is just asking for it not to be found. We had four sets of eyes and hands and came up with zero. As there is four previous logs that could not find it this many need some checking up on
After so many DNFs we thought we should check it out.
We too were unable to find it! We searched the area we first put it and then further afield and could not find it.
We will temporarily disable it.

Team Ransid

Hmmm... Early Sat morning, completely muggle free, good pair of gloves and pokey stick and until now a 100% success rate on these sorts of finds - I think it might have been muggled too or I'm losing my touch!
Argh! We hate these things! Our find ratio on them is about 50/50, so we aren't terribly enamored by them. At least this one isn't in front of an RSL that gets a few odd looks! Quite a few sets of eyes searching for this one and it didn't give itself away either...maybe next time just not today.
We spent at least 20 mins but could not find it Persistent mozzies eventually chased us away from our search.
found on an awesum midnight ride on the tall bike.took camel left lady bug.TFTC team ransid
FerretBoy failed to find and left his sunnies behind, but FerretGirl found the cache and the sunnies were still there three days later!

Found just on dusk, which was lucky as didn't have a torch - left a Coopers lid. Needs a new log book
From the name of this cache we thought oh-oh, not another one with shuddering thoughts of nanos and some of these being in plain view in the middle of town streets. Decided to have a quick look anyway.
Found this in the last place we looked. Luckily for us, that happened to also be the first place we looked so a quick sign and off to the next cache.

TFTC, easy to find, have seen similar before which helped, SL left cocktail animal
At first sight I thought "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" But of course it turned out that I'd overreacted, and the cache was actually quite straightforward . Thanks for making it larger than a nano, and not being too cruel with the hide
Thanks Team Ransid & Friend!

Had a good look with no success. Checked the iphone for some hints and then found quickly. Should have thought magnets... TFTC
I am very fortunate to be able to visit Australia once a year for work and cache along the way. I really enjoyed these finds and seeing Oz like no ordinary visitor would be able to do. 83 total finds this trip covering 2300+ total klms. Very quiet today. Grabbed it , no problem. TFTC
Searched for a long time, couldn't find it , thought maybe some kids had taken it
Nice bit of military history in the middle of suburbia.
Didn't take too long find this neat little cache. TFTC

Urgh. I hate these ones! Luckily we soon heard that familiar noise and knew it would be OK. Great spot!

TFTC @16:00, Eeasy find but had to use stealth to grab the cache as curious juvenile Muggles wanted to know why I had such a keen interest in this site! Enjoyed this find.
A quick find whilst out for a drive. We think we have these small magnetic under control.

The rain was threatening to fall when I hunted this one so I appreciated a quick find... Kids in the ppaground over the road but way to occupupied to worry about me...
Cheers team ransid.

Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Was ready to give up and there it was DUH
Did a drive by earlier this afternoon but found a few kids playing in nearby park with parents looking on so kept driving. Returned later after dark with no one around at all. I'm getting good at finding caches on these things now, and it only took 1 guess at where it would be and I was bang on target.

I was heading back to the car when cslyoda spotted this one, and to think I looked straight at it aswell and missed it
Took a while but found it eventually, started getting cold so we really wanted to get going and nearly gave up when... eureka
We're becoming more than passingly familiar with these and geoP soon had the cache in hand.

Were searching on the exact same model gun in Minlaton not five days ago, however the geo-lords where not shining on us today, DNF for now.
Second visit to this one due to muggles the first time.
Parked the work vehicle next to GZ to act as if I were doing some work on the structure just in case someone came past, but found the cache in less than a minute.

Found with Southern Cross Caching & Someuser after a Southern Vales Blitz with Liz and Bruce,
Had the cover of darkness for this one. The establishment nearby wasn't all that busy on a Thursday night and so I and my transporter were not regarded at all. Thanks for the cache!
Hmmm.. the last one of these I found took 3 visits - looks like I'll be back sometime! Way too well camouflaged for me!!
I dread these, but we found it within my time tolerance! Thank you for taking us off the main roads. We country bumpkins usually pass through without seeing too much.
Had to do a 5:30am drop off at the airport and figured while I was out this way I would fit in a few caches - there were definately no muggles around at this time of the day TFTC
We stopped at this one only because we generally dislike gun ones and have a bad track record with them.
It was time to beat our nemesis!
After a short but comprehensive search we found he cache! Yippee!
Now we will approach these with a bit more confidence and a little less Grrr LOL!
