It has become habit to call in to the 1st stage of this multicache each time we are in Howlong. After another thorough search this morning we then proceeded to GZ to finally sign the cache. We enjoy the challenge of an elusive cache and this one has had us scratching our heads for a while. Thanks Lostmonster & Co for the challenging cache.
My last cache for today. After a reasonable search at WP1 I resorted to PAF as the sun was starting to set and I needed to get back to Rutherglen for dinner. At GZ I doubted myself and wasted time searching in the wrong direction. Eventually my husband came to my rescue and located the cache in a spot that I hadn't searched closely enough.I love cemetery caches and always get distracted while walking between the rows thinking about the lives of the people who are named, or unnamed.Thank you Lostmonster & Co for this cache.
Targeted this one for the DT rating and I was not disappointed. Well, maybe a little disappointed I had to FaceTime the other member of team beavar for assistance. She gave me an idea but I disregarded it due to being focused on the red herrings in the area. After a think and 45 long min I gave in and PAF (apologies to the CO). Shows what a good hide this is considering they found it in 2010 and still gave a good hint.Damn it. Belinda was right. Found WP2 coords and then GZ easy enough. Not sure its wheelchair accessible tho! SL at 11:11 on Remembrance Day. Let We Forget. Fave point for WP1 and its ambiguity.
I have checked this one this morning and WP1 is there.
It is in Play Mode.
It is in Play Mode.
I checked this one today 21/04/2023 and WP1 is intact and has always been intact. It is good to go.
Most alleged finders are using the PAF option - or guessing where the cache might be hidden. This is Not the way it was originally designed - But whatever you choose to do WP1 is there.

Hi Bunjil. From all the recent logging activity I would suggest that the Coords at WP1 are fine and intact. It is a tough find, and a lot of people just give up to easily. I will go and have a look and confirm 100% that it is still there.

Today’s adventures was a trip to Howlong to find a multi-cache which has been on the to-find-list (and may be getting archived) plus the ‘Pub Series’ just south of Wagga. I was planning to do this with Joelisa but personal matters came up. This meant I was by myself today. Given I was no longer bound by time, I headed straight for Howlong first. I found the multi and a couple of others around before heading to the pub series. About halfway, to the cache trail, I stopped off at Culcairn for lunch. I know I missed many caches along the way both to and from Howlong but I really wanted to do the pub caching trail. I will return for the rest soon… I hope. I pulled up at GZ of the first cache in the pub series at about 12:30pm and I finished finding the last one at about 2:25pm. So it was just under 2 hours for the whole series. They were all fairly simple hides but that doesn’t mean it was easy. Some took a while to find and others I saw even before getting out of the car. Thanks so much The Drovers for the series. Then it was time to head home but not before getting something to eat at Hungry Jack’s, first.
This is the first cache of the day and also the multi cache I wanted to find. This is for a few reasons. #1 - It is a pre-2010 cache. #2 - It fills a D/T grid spot. #3 - Others have said, I should find it. Lastly #4 - The reviewer is wanting to archive it. Well, with that said, how could I not drive down to Howlong to find it. The WP was tough and I needed to PAF. With this help, I soon had the GZ coordinates in hand and off I went. Once there, I soon had the CIH, signed and replaced for the next finder. Thanks so much for this great cache.
TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to the Geocaching community. TFTC’s

Rutherglen Mega Trip. [^] Day 9 - Our final day in our Corowa digs so we had a laid back day. Found a few around Corowa including attending a morning event and a CITO. After that we found a few more before a winery lunch and meandered our way to Albury. We had solved quite a few puzzles there but we targeted only a few as time ran out. It really has been fun.
Our crew for the week is:
Bushfire
Anymules
Brisal5
6Hinemoa2
BAB6 for short and to save space in logs.
Most logs will be generic or there might be some more under here. Thanks CO's for the caches that made this such a great week for us.
Friends are handy to have...nuff said.
**SA’s Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024.**

We are here for the Rutherglen MEGA and have been caching with JooJoo57, RichmondLad, Endeavour3, TeamAstro and Deanside. Signing the logs as JALEAR to save space on the logs for the COs with so many caching the area through the last week.

We searched and searched for WP1, but despite having 3 sets of eyes we struggled!
Reading the logs it seems like someone the day after us found it instantly! So it is obviously still there, we just couldn't locate it this time. Not sure why it has been disabled either?
However we read some logs, which suggested there were other ways to find this cache. We put our brains together and soon had a likely spot. Upon arrival we split up and soon came up trumps!
Thanks for the cache, shame we didn't find WP1 as it sounds like it deserves a favourite point..... hmmmm! Still better than a DNF I suppose!

**Rutherglen Mega Day 4**
The main goal of today was to complete the BBBT trail, on bikes!
This was so much fun, it has been a while since I have cached by bike! And what better than to do it with a group of mates! Toy Hunters already had his bike booked, so we were hoping they would have enough bikes for the rest of us! Turns out nobody else had booked a bike this morning at all, so there was plenty for us to choose from! We smashed out the series well before lunch, thanks to the excellent coordinates and easy finds! We then started to pick off some odd caches around the place, before heading to the lunch event, and then spending the afternoon in Howlong to grab the virtual and a few other interesting ones nearby!
**Signed the log as YTB** for "Yeah the Boys" which for this cache included:
Loci612
Muppet95
Toy Hunters

Attending the Rutherglen Event.
Out caching with Kiscardi and Agazo. Signing as KAM.
After visiting Quatt Quatta we drove back into Howlong to make a few finds.
This was a challenge at WP1 with seven of us searching and eventually someone spotted the required info.
Off to the cemetery to find another cacher at GZ. One who’d had to make a paf call to reach the final.

Find #13510
Up and about early today, again in the pleasant company of beckNmonts and Earthbound Chief. After grabbing breakfast and coffee at the bakery, we headed out for another big day finding caches including some over the border in NSW.
Thankfully we were with EBC who had found this one in the past so that was a good start.
Massive thanks go to Lostmonster & Co for placing this one. ??

On our way home from the Rutherglen Mega - Tankengine, Mtrax, Youban and I had a great long weekend, but all good things must come to an end.
This cache: I was a little confused when I first read this description, but then I got it and when we arrived there was a Muggle couple having coffee.
Another team came by and then there were 7 searchers for the container. So I thought I should show them how it’s done
Once the coordinates were found both cars headed to GZ where we found another team just turned up. There was a member walking to GZ and so we parked next to their car and walked over just as she found the cache.
We signed the log, chatted for a very short time then headed off to the next cache together. Tftc!!!

It was a rainy night but the day had moments that were dry and at times continued the raindrops.

What a lovely sandstone tribute to the first settlers here at WP1. After a good look around we focussed on finding the WP. And what a beauty it is too! Well done! The coords were perfect for us which made this a quick find. We used a little tool to help us get to the coordinates. The paper was quite damp so we dried it in the sun for a few minutes. Then replaced everything as we found it and headed off to GZ.
Again, good coordinates here and we soon found your cache. Then we had a wander around this very well kept cemetery.
Thank you.

We did these calculations more than once and it was a PAF that came to the rescue to help us get out names into the log.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

After spending the night at the wonderful riverside caravan park down the way, Muggle65 and l started the day with this one. Numbers obtained and a find made. Thank you for the fun ??
We found a wee oasis last night to set our tent up, just down the road from here & to start the day a multi was beckoning. After calculating the solution we scored a find ????. Nice hide.
Found this afternoon while doing a L plate run with my eldest boy. Just finished a coffee at the bakery, also helps calm the nerves… and then off to the cemetery to have a squiz. May of just been lucky with getting the co-ord’s today and we soon headed off and managed to keep our feet dry and also grab the cache. Considering the recent rain the cache and contents are still in great condition. Thanks Lostmonster & Co for the multi and hide, as a side note considering l worked just a few hundred metres up the road for a few Summers over the past few years l was surprised that l have never ventured down the road a little further and visit this quaint spot, ah the benefits of caching.
**Found whilst in Corowa for a couple of nights**
The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual CO’s, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals don’t know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most CO’s take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own.
It has been wet, wet, wet up here with some minor flooding and a few road closures around. Happy pants decided that we should go for a drive and grab a couple of caches. We actually had an Adventure Lab on our to do list today but grabbed any at the way points. Grabbed the required information and came up with coords which matched the checksum. A nice quick and straight forward find here today (after dodging puddles) with good coordinates and cache dry and in good condition.
Thank you Lostmonster & Co for highlighting this area and for adding this cache to my real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts.

The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual CO’s, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals don’t know about. Staying at Rutherglen on our sixth day we ventured to Howlong as it was still wet and we decided to leave the trails alone, again and try and do some drive by caches and this was one of them.
We spent some time here, a fair bit, and still could not find waypoint 1 so we headed off to the cemetery and after a detailed search we finally came up with the goods. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Have tried to find Wp1 previously without luck, today with jackez74 and matho64 again without luck, so we went and tried or luck at the dead centre of Howlong and after a few minutes Jackez74 located the prize log signed as GeoTrio TFTC
After a couple attempts at WP1 we couldn’t find the coordinates needed. So we decided to go to the dead centre of town and go with our geo senses.
It was a quick and easy find with Bucrog52 & Matho64. Signed log as Geo Trio. TFTC

TFTC. Day 23 of our enforced layover in Albury as the Motorhome gets repairs. Hoping to get away this afternoon
The final work was due to be completed today. An early start saw us back to Howlong. We needed a multi today to fill a gap in our calendar. At WP1 we scratched about for a while until the penny dropped. Checked and found a well crafted hide. The final was an easy find. Thanks for the adventure. FP from us for this one.

Day two of my caching trip to Wangaratta. Made it to Albury last night and found a beautiful camping spot at the river. Today's goal is getting to Wangaratta, but not before exploring Albury and surrounding. Great area for some holidaying! It's WP1 that gets the favourite!

I can see why there are large number of DNF's and cachers bypassing WP1, as it's a very clever hide, lucky for team Hexapool, Mr poolpool did not take too long to make the discovery and then find our way to GZ, with the cache quickly in hand and log signed, TFTC Lostmonster & Co, well crafted WP1 !!!
What a cache!! Mr Poolpool found the cheeky hide that led us to GZ. Thanks for the hint warning us of the danger at GZ. Thankfully this ‘spider’ guarding the cache was friendly today (although I wasn’t going in for the grab!) TFTC!
After spending a good 20 mins at WP1 we decided to try our luck at the cemetary to no avail. Maybe next time
Found on a trip around central New South Wales with e.gregory1. Our original plans were to travel through Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba to attend the Dayboro event in Queensland and return via Port Macquarie and central NSW, but a series of events that included road closures due to flooding in southern inland Queensland, a covid outbreak in Brisbane and widespread storm damage and road closures along the north coast of NSW resulted in multiple changes of plans during the trip. As it eventuated our travels took us to central New South Wales, on a route from Broken Hill to Cobar, Nyngan, and Gunnedah from where we meandered southwards through some great scenery and historic towns that included Dunedoo, Wellington, Cowra and Yass. We then headed in a roughly westerly direction through to Temora, Wagga Wagga, Deniliquin and Swan Hill before making a final dash for home. All up we found a good mix of Traditionals, Puzzle Caches, Multicaches, Adventure Labs, Wherigos, Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids and Virtual Caches on a very entertaining and enjoyable trip. Good luck, keen eyes and the geocaching sense of e.gregory1 led us to the find at the cemetery after abandoning a thorough search for the clue at the posted coordinates. Thanks for the cache Lostmonster & Co!
Found on a trip around inland NSW with FeatherWaite.
Our original intention was to attend the Mega event at Dayboro in Queensland, travelling up via Broken Hill, Bourke, Cunamulla and Toowoomba, then home via the NSW coast to Port Macquarie then on to Adelaide via central NSW. However, the Covid outbreak in Brisbane forced us to reconsider, particularly given that the Mega and associated events were within the area of concern and we may have had difficulty re-entering NSW to get home and then would have had to quarantine back in SA for 14 days.
The floods in the north and east of NSW also hampered our travel plans. But we were able to develop a new plan that took us on a very pleasant tour around country NSW, picking up some interesting caches along the way.
Like many previous finders, we couldn’t locate the first waypoint, so headed out to the cemetery to see if we could ‘jet ski’ the final. Thankfully it didn’t take us long. Cache container and contents are in good condition.
Thanks Lostmonster & Co for the cache.

I spent some time looking for WP1 with no luck, so went to the cemetery and it was the 2nd place I checked.

I think your arachnid has gone awol. Was looking forward to getting a photo with him to send to my arachnophobic daughter. Lol. Enjoyed this multi immensely. Tftc
Found with PapaGrouch. I tried to find this a couple of days ago but couldn't find any information at WP1. Today I brought PapaGrouch to help but we still had no luck. Having worked out where the cemetery was we decided to just head there and try our luck. Got there just as the sun went down, it sure got cold quickly. Had a wander around checking likely looking spots and as we were heading back to the car I spotted the cache. Signed log, replaced cache, then back to the car and the heater. TFTC
I tried to find this one today without luck. I couldn't find WP1 at all. I spent ages looking and then had to give up when a muggle decided to stop here for lunch. I thought I might just have a look at the cemetery and see if I could fluke a find, but I couldn't find the cemetery either. Just not my day to find this one.
Todats trip was Walla Walla -Wirramina - Balldale -Howlong & return
This was journey through some very quiet country roads.
With a few showers of rain tossed in as well to add to the day.
What a good multi, a very clever hide to finish it off. FP given

We took a little while to locate the first waypoint but eventually nutted it out and then drove to the final and luckily signed and left just a funeral precession was coming down the road.
Thanks for a challenging hide

Well WP1 had us mystified. All I can say is we got there in the end. I will always wonder though.
Staying in Albury for a caching mini break, we headed up the Riverina Highway with DAB to do some caching in and around Howlong. Now we won't mention HOW many times the male Triton and female DAB cracked jokes about HOW LONG this and HOW LONG that , lets just say the other halves had had just enough of it that they were ready to kick them out of the car!
At the first waypoint of this multi we really struggled to find the information to lead us to GZ, with 4 sets of eyes looking in every nook and cranny we realised the 3.5 D was definitely going to be earned if we just could find it. Eventually the evil hide was located and we had the coordinates to finish off this multi.
Thanks Lostmonster & Co for showing us Howlong's Heroes.

After saying goodbye to Michael, The_Tritonz and myself continued on our merry way. With an afternoon ahead of us, we enjoyed some amazing scenery. We collected quite a few caches, which were all very enjoyable.
Waypoint 1 had us scratching our heads for quite a while here. We looked everywhere and finally the sneaky hide revealed itself, very clever. Off to gz and it was a quick find here. Thanks for an enjoyable little multi with a nice touch of history. TFTC Lostmonster & Co

Waypoint1 was missing last time ( or was it just that I couldn't find it) so was pleased to find the sneaky hide this time. An enjoyable cache. SL TFTC
Out with OZREG grabbing a few caches around the area. After attempting this previously and coming up empty handed at WP1, it was great to find the info needed after only a short search. It was then on to the final, where a quick find was made.
Thanks Lostmonster & Co for placing the cache for us to find.

HappyFeet 1 and I once again Cached our way around the district. Such a lovely warm Sunday afternnon saw several successes and wish to thank Lostmonster for this Cache.
Found on our way to Walla Walla. WP1 was a great tricky spot very clever.
After obtaining co-rods for GZ we made our way there and soon had cache in hand.
Signed and replaced a favourite point from us as we loved this well planned multi.

It is with great pleasure we found the very sneaky WP1 that was so well planned and implemented +++. So onto GZ where we had no trouble find this well hidden cache in a very good hiding spot too. We were pleased to return and finally do this great little multi and we are only to happy to give you a fav from us as you really deserve it!

Pleased to report waypoint 1 is very much still in play. We found it in seconds. Coords & hint spot on. Very sneaky. Made for a quick find at gz. No spiders today. Tftc.
This was our last cache for the day before heading back to Albury in time for school pick up..
We weren't to confident of finding waypoint 1 after so many others had failed before us. But to our surprise we had it within a minute.
A quick drive to ground zero and cache found and log signed.

Gradually cleaning up the caches around Howlong while the kids do golf. Wandered across to WP1 but didn't hold much hope for finding anything. Must be a good hide if in there.
Headed to the cemetery after golf and headed to the relevant section. Wandered around a bit looking at the history of the town before looking for likely hiding spots. Had one more spot to check on the way back to the car and there it was. Not certain about the spider in the hint but others should be careful of the barbed wire at the GZ.
Thanks an interesting lesson even if the multi wasn't done correctly

WP1!!! what a ripper! We had texted a GeoFriend for help with this one. TFTC.
We spent about 20 minutes at WP1 looking for the information but we were not successful. We then re-read other logs and decided that we would head off to the local cemetery and try to find the cache. When we arrived we quickly found an set of graves consistent with the theme of the cache. We then started to look around in possible hiding spots and it wasn't long before the cache was located in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Lostmonster & Co for the cache and for bringing us to Howlong, a town which takes great pride in its gardens and parks.
A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today I found 23 caches and had 3 DNFs
DNF! Our third DNF for today but I do feel that we missed something important.... like WP1.
Looking over past logs though, it seems several people have also had this issue so hopefully I weill get back here another time to rectify this failure to find.

No ;uck finding WP1 today but enjoyed reading the plaques on the shelter. Thanks anyway LoMo & Co.
We had no luck at WP 1, unless you count finding a couple of lizards in the garden bed. I wasn't sure hat we were looking for and it was quite hot and Geodaughter was over it by then so after reading some of the previous logs I decided to drop her back at the in laws and head to GZ myself to have a go without the coordinates.
It took me longer to find the right road to GZ than it did to find the cache in the end, pesky online maps LOL. From the gate I spotted a likely area to search and luckily it was In the first place I looked. The rest of the grass was cut nice and short so it was a safe walk to GZ. No critters except some ants, so it was an easy job to sign the log, while avoiding the dead branches and leaves around the base in case of sssssnakes.
I had a little look at some of the pioneer graves and paid my respects to a few of the younger residents, both old and new
Thanks for bringing me to this lovely peaceful spot today and giving us our second NSW find.
