A CO check is warranted on this one - GPS accuracy check is needed as can’t get any closer than 10m!

Adding our name to the list of DNF’s. Didn’t spend too much time searching so I’m sure it’s still there.
Hopefully we’ll get a chance to have another look soon.
Thanks anyway Rocky Glen Grommets

Happy to stop here! Day 7 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its the first day it has not been more than a chilly brisk! The Innes National Park and it’s caches was high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’m out on trusty treadles aka my mtb to explore the trails and surroundings. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. Happy and relieved to record no DNF’s today and on average most were located ‘relatively’ quickly. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game
We spent the weekend at Inneston staying in Mallee Lodge and had a fantastic time. Had we been lucky enough to see a Mallee Fowl it would have absolutely topped it off! However, we have been privileged to see them elsewhere including one active mound (see pic) which was incredibly fascinating. Inneston, the lake, and the old township are fabulous places to visit. So much history to be learned and natural beauty to be enjoyed. Thanks
The coordinates had me right under the bonnet of the car but there was nothing there. I looked on both sides of the road and eventually found it about 8m away nicely hidden. Cache container and logbook are in good condition. Thanks for the drive-by.
Found while staying in Marion Bay for the weekend with my Shatzy and exploring the park again.
Log and container were in good condition.
No fowls today

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, after participating in Edithburgh parkrun, I met gridge98 at Marion Bay, and we travelled through Innes National Park. We drove up to Browns Beach, and then made our way back visiting and hiking Royston Head, West Cape Lightstation, Ethel Beach, Cape Spencer Lighthouse, and the historic township of Inneston. With a few hours left before the Edithburgh dinner event, we separated and I decided to head north to visit a few Yorke Peninsula oldie geocaches. Following dinner, gridge98 and I walked from Edithburgh to Coobowie find the *Where Ancestors Walked By the Sea* series.
After driving past here and making a stop, gridge98 jumped out, and it took a few minutes in order to find the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for the cache placement, and Dazzatron/Margieh for its ongoing maintenance.

A quick stop here today. The cache was easily found and Is all good
A quick overnight trip to the Yorkes for 1.5 days of solid caching. I did a bit of the geoart by myself before meeting up with Davidwazza for a majority of the day caching around Innes National Park. With an event in the evening in Edithburgh headed over there before going for a nice walk along the water front for the evening. Day 2 I made my way from Edithburgh along the coast line and back home by lunch time. A total of 169 caches for the trip.
Thanks for the cache

You a little longer than we thought, as our GPS was pointing seven or eight metres off (which makes a difference in scrub). Anyway, found and soon on our way. TFTC.
Found while staying in the Engineers Lodge at Inneston for a few nights, with some great scenic locations visited and some nice walks during the days. Spotted after a bit of a search. Thanks for the cache RGG and Dazzatron/margieh!
Sorry a bit behind with my online logging. Found this on a trip to Innes for the long weekend. TFTC
We made a quick stop be here on the way past and found the cache in the little clearing.
It's not really camouflaged anymore, but doesn't really need to be when it's hidden away from sight.

There are a myriad of crossings on Yorkes...
Here is another!
I think I looked for this last year but didn't log a dnf! Whoops
Found eventually over 10m from where gpsr wanted us... Replaced the worn out container with a painted black sistema for Jackie R.I.P. and supplied some coords for Dazza to use. Not sure if cache creep has occured, but container was not well cammoed anymore.
Thanks

We spent yesterday exploring Innes National Park, and naively thought we could cover it all in one day. We’re back here today to show everyone we were wrong! It’s such a wonderful place, full of fantastic views, history and wonderful bush walks. We did stop a few times yesterday to grab caches, and today we hope to finish off both the caches and the exploring as we need to move on tomorrow or we won’t be home when we need to be. Such a shame, but we have decided that we need to come back to the Yorke Peninsular and spend more time enjoying it.
Pulled up at the sign and took a short walk further on before reaching GZ.
The GPSr has the wonders a bit but we soon spotted the good sized cache.
One of the clips is broken so the lid no longer seals, but otherwise all is in good condition.

After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.

Team SWAGJJ is visiting the Yorke Peninsula this week to complete the geo art and collect traditionals, multis and other types along the way. Seeing some amazing country side and views as well. Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches.
Yorke Peninsula Day 3: A small break for power trails (after a quick 60 caches from the fishing line...). Then we collected caches around the Yorketown and Edithburgh area and in the Innes National Park. Some spectacular scenery to take in, strong winds to battle on top of cliffs, and another exhausting day. Signed as SWAG-JJ. TFTC!
Day 3 visiting Yorke Peninsula from QLD for a week of caching with geo friends Waz and Vic, Ardom, Gcoven, JACS Team and joojoo57.
Enjoying the SA countryside and the vast amount of caches to find. All logs stamped with our team name SWAG-JJ
A big thank you to all CO's for the time and effort in placing these caches for our enjoyment.

Travelling down from Queensland with my fellow cachers Snickersallan, Waz and Vik, Ardom, Gcoven and JooJoo57. We have planned a week long adventure to collect all the geoart, the fishing line and anything else we can get. Thanks for the cache!
Day 3: A bit of a slower day today, did a smidge of the powertrail, a swag of traditionals and a few other randoms along the way.

This one eluded us today. Lots of opinions in the logs. But we did find a plastic Maccas thick shake cup (no lid), an empty tin of cat food and a beer bottle. All removed; you really wonder why they were there in the first place.
Quick poke around and found it. A little further off the road than I thought. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Today Gary and I wandered around Innes National Park - we loved it! Some of the cache hides were easy, others were more challenging, but overall we enjoyed a wonderful day with fantastic weather.
Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets

Woo hoo, the lovely Micaparamedic and I decided we would attend the June Long Weekend Event in South Australia (Edithburgh) and make the most of a road trip to the glorious Yorke Peninsula by spending a week away - NICE! [^]
We particularly enjoyed exploring Innes National Park and focussing on the new earth caches on the YP and in Burra.

Found with scag0002. Saw it from our car as we pulled over not hidden at all. We attempted to give it a cover but still slightly visable.
Found with wils0382. In very clear view tried to cover it so it couldn't be seen from the road and mistaken as rubbish
#2448 We didn't spot any Mallee Fowl here today as we rode up to gz on our geobikes. But we were lucky enough to spot one between Corny Point and Marion Bay later in the day near the roadside! Cache found without issue and we hit the road again. TFTC Rocky Glen Grommets.
A Mallee Fowl crossing,
should be a good spot to see a Mallee Fowl
Forget it !!
In 40 years of cruising and camping in the mallee,
I have only seen two Mallee Fowl cross in front of me !! [:o]
You are more likely to win a division 1 prize in Lotto
Here at the 'crossing' I stopped and crossed the road meself
Should be a couple of "Geocacher Crossing" sings here !! [:o)]
And over at GZ I found the cache and its contents scattered around the scenery
A spiteful muggle,
probably taking a loo break,
has gone through the cache to see if anything of value was within,
then in spite,
taken the logbook and strewn the container,
a few cacher's business cards,
and unwanted bits around the swamp
I reassembled the cache container,
popped back inside the calling cards and any swaps.
And put a new logbook inside
So it is a cache again !! [^]
Please cover this cache well future finders,
to stop the poo'n'piss crowd finding it again

Since living in Victoria I have been privileged to have seen a real, living in the wild mallee fowl, I was chuffed.
First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now run out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.
Found, however cache was strewn amongst the bushes. Log was water logged. Tried to put back together as best as we could but didn't bring supplies with us! Needs new container as the lid wouldn't clip closed. Have placed back where we assume it belonged to start with!!
Found while on Yorke Peninsula with iluvtrekking. Fortunate to have amazingly clear, warm weather for duration of our stay which made for very pleasant caching. After completing the nearby Fish series we headed into Innes National Park. Besides making a find here, we managed to pick up some ticks along the way, resulting in several bites. Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets
Found on day two of our Caching the Yorke Peninsula adventure with richlink.
We love the Yorke Peninsula, the history, the remoteness and we had the most perfect caching weather.
Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets.

Camped at Point Turton, and this morning we headed down to the National Park, with Konie.
Enjoyed the drive around the coast line, taking in the views, as we picked up a few caches.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Rocky Glen Grommets, for us and others to find.

Staying at Point Turton and decided to head south to the National Park and do the caches along the coast today with The Drovers.
After completing the walking trail we then grabbed a few more caches around the area. All were realatively easy to find.
Once the log was signed all caches were returned as found.

# 9394. After 3 days of GeoArt it is now time for Robmc and me to relax and spend a lovely day in the Innes National Park. The grey start turned into a mild, sunny day that helped turn the ocean into many lovely shades of blue and green. With Spring starting all the plants were putting on a colourful display and I was able to gather some gorgeous old-style freesias to bring back to the accommodation. (They are introduced nuisance plants out here, so just doing the park a service).
We stopped for this one and I think the snakeskin has done a runner a long time ago. A nice quick find here and back to the car. Unfortunately we saw no mallee fowl today only a lot of gorgeous emus.

Today was day seven of the ahomburg and sharkiefan 2015 road trip to South Australia. We managed to find all but one of the geoart over the last three days, so we had some unfinished business with Sammy Starfish 20. we also wanted to check out Innes National park and surrounding area, followed by some areas further north east in the Yorktown region and surrounds. We managed to pick up many Traditionals, a couple of Multis, the all important Mystery cache for the Souvenir on offer and even found an Archived cache in our Travels. Despite a bit of rain over the day, had a fantastic time, almost covering the whole lower part of the peninsula. Did not see any Mallee Fowl today
Thanks to Rocky Glen Grommets maintaind by Dazzatron/Margieh for the cache. TNLN

Coordinates out by 5m. Found with Ahomburg on our last day in the Yorke Peninsula. We are just taking it easy today and are driving around collecting finds where we want to. Tftc
Todays drive was in the Innes National Park. We travelled with mccamob & pprass signed the log as DIMP.
Thanks for placing this cache Rocky Glen Grommets

Found at 12:33 PM GAFF5 in the company of DiMorgan & maccamob - we signed our names in the log book as "Dimp".
Interesting family history and how various people made a living. No mallee fowls to be seen here though.
Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets.

Compass wasn't accurate due to low range but it was so much fun using our noses to find it instead.
#15 find today. What a pity I had not told Little Red Riding Hood (aka my GPSr) about all the caches out here. We might have to come back tomorrow after I do some more downloads. Another well hidden cache though I think some of my problems arose from LRRH's fear of going into and under trees - she still gets quite jumpy even though I continually assure her that I will protect her from any big bad wolves that may be lurking. Luckily none today though we did see many mallee fowls. TNLN SL TFTC RGG
Found with Confusedcious on the way out of Innes. Lovely trip, great cache, thanks!
Another cache found while caching in the Innes National Park. We have never managed to see a Mallee Fowl in the wild. We have seen one of their nests and plenty of signs. Maybe one day but not today.
The cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for the cache and Dazzatron and Margie for maintaining it.

Found with Rapidly wild and the ladies of the FurfacesLL on our Yorke Peninsula geoinvasion extra long weekend. The objective: make the nab on the geoart and on as many others as our time and energy would allow Lots of fun and laughs and a great weekend all round!
We'd finished making the collect on the geoart so we were off to see the sights and collect some trads around the National Park. No mallee fowl crossing here but we did nab the cache!
Thanks for the hide, Rocky Glen Grommets

So the adventure with FurfacesLL ladies, specimenX and myself had begun on the Yorke. We were here to attack the geo-art and what ever else we could get our hands on. 5 days of fun and games, many stories to be shared and a good weekend all in all
This was full day number 3, after a big day yesterday we were back out again to continue hitting the geo-art. Apologies for the generic logs.
It was out to the National Reserve to pick up some more caches after succesfully finishing the geo-art powertrails.
Thanks to all the cache owners who took their time to place the caches we have collected over this weekend. [^]

Our geomission with Rapidlywild and SpecimenX had commenced. This geomission had been in the planning since the new geo-art caches had been placed. The Canberra Day long weekend was chosen to give us enough days to collect as many as possbile. Our target is to get all of the caches in the art works and a few more if possible.
We finished collecting all the art and now it was time to take in the sights of the peninsula and the national park.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the caches we had a blast of a weekend!
