I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi bumandworker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Nope not rideable in my world, especially with the sudden stop required at the bottom. The cache was an easy find once I read the hint. And here was a track that would lead me back to the car. Thanks bumandworker
Accidentally took the wrong track down the hill. A few extra steps for us plus an extra cache. Tftc
Its a Merit Badge weekend
And The Seagnoid is after it no end
Geocache HQ have set the position
The Seagnoid has taken up the mission
A cache with 10 favorites is what is needed
Wgtn, Chch or Nelson?? where will be seek it?
'The Grampians' confirms The Seagnoid
"OK' says TB Dragon "lets go to this void"
There is a choc fish wager, on wet or dry weather
So lets go a hunting and bugger the weather.
Still no rain. Its down hill from Gum Gate to here. The Seagnoid asks Ridable - Me?? Scarey. Maybe! Have to improve my riding skills a bit though. Another Seagnoid find. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are on our way back to the car, after coming here from Blenheim and Picton in order to find George the GC HQ agent who had gone missing near the Muggle Republic embassy. Yep, I would cycly down these steps too. Especially if my bike has suspension. My road bike doesn't, which would make this hard, but I would still give it a go.
Go back up this tracklet, to the junction, and head north. At 86m from this cache is a wannabe cache. Someone had nailed a jar lid to a fence, attached the jar. It is sticking out into the track for all the world to see. Lots of messages from people inside, as well as a quote from someone - hopefully the Dragon and remember who. I though of leaving our own signatures, but in the end we didn't. There was another wannabe cache, the same, further along the track.

Found with NZDi. With a long weekend to look forward to with the added bonus of a fantastic weather forecast, there was always going to be at least one day dedicated to geocaching. NZDi wasn't very specific about where she wanted to go so during my spare time in the evenings, I prepared four options, these being a cycle ride up the Leatham Valley which I have already cached a lot of, a walk along the link track between Wedge Point and Ngakuta Bay which I have also done most of but have a piece of unfinished business to attend to, a cycle ride along the Kowhai Cycle Track in Kaikoura which neither of us had done or try to finish off the Grampians which we started five weeks ago. The Kaikoura and Nelson trips were short-listed with the Grampians eventually getting the nod.
The trip across from Blenheim this morning was a bit slower than usual due to heavy fog from Okaramio thru to past Rai Valley but when we crested Gentle Annie, we were met with another typical Nelson Blue Sky day, I don't know how Blenheim beats nelson in the sunshine stakes because they turn the weather on for us every time.
We started near the bottom, climbed to near the top and were now back near the bottom again. I was surprised to read a very description hint which is a rarity from this CO. Initially I thought it must have been a red herring but then like others who have gone before me I interpreted it correctly and shortly had the cache in-hand. I wrote down the added information, but somehow seem to hve misplaced the scrap of paper it was written on. It doesn't really matter though, because I won't be getting the other piece of information (that's another story), so Kerry won't ever be found by me.
As a side note to the cache, I would comment that it is only 'ridable' in one direction.

Went off track to find this one. Took a bit of searching and then a bit more lateral thinking to locate this one. Lots of mozzies here.
I didn't care if it was ridable or not !!
I would not have tried it even if I did have a mountain bike
My bones have stayed in tact this long and I don't intend to start breaking them now
So I walked to the cache from above.
Wouldn't I have looked stupid if I tripped and broke some bones now ??
Did not happen [^]
And the cache was found where clue said ... once I read the clue the correct way

With mrs capperz and occasional cacher nightowl19 declaring their wish to head over the hill for some retail therapy in the mighty Nelson C B D, a plan was required to find some caches and also keep Tally the dog entertained as she was to come for the big day out too. So, upon looking at previous caches found, and potential walks that could entertain me and my canine shadow, I settled on a different part of the Grampians walkway that I did on a visit in March this year.
Also got in touch with b of b&w fame for some advice and he suggested a couple of options for a few hour walk so we settled on this loop and he came along for the walk too which was great. So, with snow on the mountain tops and single figure temperatures a blue sky overhead and we entered the track at Tukuka Road end. Grabbed nine caches in a 2 hour walk, great views, caches and company.

Had a few minutes to spare before an appointment nearby, so took a quick hop up the steps to search for this one. I certainly needed to read and apply the hint carefully to allow me to find the cache, but once I had done so it was a quick find and sign.
I now have both sets of bonus coordinates so will marry them up and see where they take me.
Thanks.

#9066. We were passing today so stopped by so I could found the cache (Troodles found it yesterday while streaking). Interesting to see an alternative entrance to the Grampians. TFTC.
Wasn't sure how to access this cache when I first looked at the map, but luckily the cache description was very helpful .
Even so, it seemed as though I was heading to private property until I spotted the walkway sign. Phew, I am going in the right direction. Passed by a laden plum tree en route, and hoping it was public land, helped myself to one . It was a wee bit sour but yummy.
No one else around at GZ so set to work. Cache wasn't an instant find as initially discounted the hiding spot, but on second inspection, it revealed the cache. Noted the info for the final, now will have to find the other contributing cache before this info is lost.
Don't think I'd be game enough to ride either up or down these steps! Thanks for day #276 of my streak.

This cache has long been on our radar and tonight we finally attempted it. At first we couldn't find it so wandered along to find another then had another look on the way back. After reinterpreting the hint it was a quick find and the numbers noted for the "Where is Kerry" cache. Now to match them up with the other half and eventually make the effort to finish the 'trifecta'. Thank you bumandworker.
The result of assuming 'the other' had studied the map led to a false start. When we decided on the other option things fell into place until we too had trouble making the find. We decided to give it a rest and continued along the track for another cache. Buoyed by the find we returned, looked a bit harder and only focused where the torch beam shone. It was a long time coming but we now have enough info to find Kerry. Thank you Bumandworker for the series.
We had a good look around for this but I don't think it's there now. Perhaps it could be checked. Thanks anyway, we had a lovely walk in here.
Have been meaning to grab this one for a while and with some spare time to kill, today was it,,Quick find and sign Thanx4tc
Having worked solidly all day on the computer on an overdue project while wishing I was out in the sunshine I finally escaped as the sun was going down. This seemed like the perfect cache 1.5 km from home and steep enough to wear me out quickly considering how unfit I am. Found quickly then headed back down. Got back to the car and realized I'd forgotten to get the extra set of coordinates so huffed and puffed back up there. TFTC

Followed instructions on where to park to get to GZ, also tried to follow instructions on hint to access cache -with varied results! Got there in the end!
Made hard work of this one. Found with La Vista during a day caching in the area. TFTC
After meeting Bum on the top of the hill, unsuccessfully searching for a new cache, I decided I should stop in and pick up one of theirs. Quick find, once I found the start of the track. TFTC

Another nice caching afternoon. Although I did have to walk my bike up the steps rather than riding it down. Had to wait some time before Nelmac muggles left. TFTC.
About time I searched out some of the caches in the area. All new territory for me, though I know some of the nearby terrritory really really well. Thanks for bringing me here.
Had a look for this one on the way into work this morning. Easy find. Locating the steps was probably the hardest part!!!
A tricky track to find your way onto but good to know its there. Water was flowing down the hill after all the rain we've had. Took Australian TB. Easy find of cache. TFTC

Found the Cache. If all the hint gave us the GZ, for some reason it took us a wee while again. Finally found it and drop-off a ghost and collect TB...
Thanks for the cache.

Was our 7th today. Found it with Sebbey_NZ. Nice walk through The Grampians. Took us a while even with the hint... We're still wondering why ! Thank you for the cache / Merci pour la cache. Greetings from France !
A bit of a wander all over the place as the GPS wasn't playing fair. However, after a 20 minute phone call, managed to get back on track with figuring it out and soon had it in hand. TNLN Thanks, a bit wet on the steps today I'd say for a ride.
After walking through from Zig Zag and getting towards GZ i can imagine the younger ones riding down the steps. I think i still would not do it for a start dont think id manage to ride a bike up there to start with!!! If I had done i too possibly at the moment suddenly decide to give it a go . A quick find at GZ then we had to move aside and allow runners past TFTC

Followed our nose (which was glued to the GPS) from Zig Zag round to this cache - hmmm maybe if I was young I MAY have ridden down these stairs but I highly doubt it lol !!!! Sat down and had a breather to sign the log and say hi to the much fitter runner that came thundering down the steps - then made our way down to roads we werent familiar with to negotiate to get back to our car which was parked back at Fairfield Park to complete the round trip - thanks for the cache
Not the best sign posted track around but in the daylight I found the track ok and the cache bang on TFTC
didnt know about this entrance to the track... cant wait to ride those stairs... nice hide
A repeat visit - this time found a nice clean dry container with easily signable log (and most importantly 7 digits I need). TFTC!
I'll take your word for it that these stairs are ridable. From some of the bike "tracks" we have seen mountain bikers must be even more crazy than most cachers! Nice hide of the cache. Collected the numbers for Kerry. Thanks.

Looks like this cache should be maintained, or archived... Cache has no lid and is full of mud (and occupied with a big fat juicy spider!) Didn't even try to sign the log, but got covered in mud trying. Ridable, but not signable!
hmmmm. 2nd such log......sounds like the old cache that went AWOL ages ago is being found somewhere nearby. I will go and hunt. The hint is very specific and cache is absolutely fine.
aha.....found what these guru hunters have been finding.....the origonal cache that had "drifted". Now removed. Future visiters, please note, it goes under outside edge. It will stay dry there.thanks
Ridable for the brave I will just say! couldnt sign log cause wet and muddy, but great to explore this side of the Grampians. TFTC

Cache is in desperate need of maintenance. There appeared to be no lid, the container was full of mud. I didn't even bother trying to sign the log. Should be temporarily disabled immediately until it can be repaired or archived. Cheers Gav
checked this today, container is in place, and log fine, waiting to be "found"
Found the old original hide - in very poor condition.
As it is the original hide for this same listing - and we found the logbook and proved (by way of a photo) that we had done so, we'll claim the find.

Came up, around and down to find this one. Had to be careful as the neighbour muggles were gardening at the same time. Quick find, cache is nearly ruined. Cheers Gav [6966]
This was going to be our first of the day, but we got collared by the neighbour who wanted to chat. Claimed 3 hours latter in dark as we headed for home after a great afternoon walk.

updated to change container from micro, (where is kerry coords on separate sheet) and steps riding well !!
As I was signing the log a biker muggle walked his bike down the steps so not that ridable a? had to use a stick to get this one out. The lid is missing and the log is wet, a new container needed I think, cheers TFTC.
Some Junior geocachers found this just ahead of me. And no, I'm not trying this on my bike.
Couldnt find way in last visit - this time I did after a bit of hunting.

Not the easiest find from the hint, but all good. Found with Kwaka40 after a climb up to the transmitter.

Found with Wilson#41.
Not sure I would be keen to ride these with the sharp turn at the bottom. Might hurt the fence.

3191. It took a bit of working out to get to the correct track start - and some helpful advice from a local. You do need to be "in the know" to find these entry points! Even at the correct place it was a tricky find.

I had looked for this one previously when I was in town in September. Plucked up a bit more courage this time to venture up the driveway that I thought was private property. A quick find once I was on the walkway. TNLN SL TFTC
I did have a wee bit of trouble finding how to get into this area but once there all I had to do was try and retract the cache lol. I am not sure wheather I would ride down here but would be fun watching other riders have a go. Cheers Bo
Probably never would have found it without a couple of hints from the logs. I walk here most days but who knows what you're really walking over? TFTC.
Took a bit of driving up and down streets and then we decided it was where we had been in the first place!. Walked by a sign that confirmed the location and found the container. Lots of fun retrieving it as we could see it but could not reach it. Down and dirty was the answer and the log was signed.

Talk about make a simple cache hard, took a while to find the way in, then it took a while to find the cache, then it took us a while to extract it, very wet and muddy up here I suspect the water it washing the cache farther down it hiding spot. all and all great fun.
Thanks Bitsprayer
Thanks Bitsprayer
cant say it was an easy find. more like getting a crayfish out of its hole. got there in the end. tftc
Did you really ride down - did you try it the other way. Sorry we did not have a pencil on us
It's amazing how many new walks you come across geocaching. Only went to the top of the steps this time but must go back for a longer walk. Found cache, larger than expected but still in tact. Thanks.
Bit of looking about required to find the access but straight forward after that.
