I did this multi after work tonight. A drive around to some interesting areas and learning a bit of local history. A quick find at the final GZ. TFTC
Found this one after a nice tour and history lesson around the township. Had a lot of trouble finding this sucker and was not aware that this plant is the geocachers favourite! Had given up so sat down to have afternoon tea with Wal & Ol then decided to have one last look before we left. Thank goodness we can give this one a smilie now. Thanks for all your work organising this cache.
Found on a bike ride from McLaren Vale to Willunga with Pony 1966. We thought after doing the hard yards riding around Willunga collecting dates, that the final would be a doddle - how wrong we were! We searched for almost an hour in a couple of stints (broken up by afternoon tea of course!), until Mr Pony finally came up trumps. Talk about hard work! TFTC
Down south caching with Purrfect Di,
think we had our calculations out.
Like the last one, easier to check back home! oops
Thanks for the challenge bregor
will place on the watch list and return asap!

Having collecting all the numbers and doing the math, I headed to GZ and immediately spotted the likely location as it matched the hints and had evidence of others' search around it. Despite that, it still took me a while to spot this little hidden treasure. TFTC. 7/05/2016, 4:40 PM Find #2110
Worked out and found by The Boofs TFTC . Reading the previous logs helped to find this one.
I had DNF'd this cache back in October 2014 while on a wild adventure with locus cache, JJ52 and gral4 down south. We later found out it had gone missing. Last weekend I was heading to the area and reworked the coordinates from the photo's I had kept from the previous visit before leaving home. I had a quick look for the cache but my GPS seemed to be playing up and had me in a totally different area[?] It was also getting dark so I decided to call it a night knowing I would be back here soon.
Today the GPS sent me back to the same general area as last weekend and I had a look around, cut myself on a yacca and was bleeding quite a bit but still no cache .
So then I decide to have a look where we searched back in 2014 and bingo I find the cache. I get excited as the last entry is 17 Jan 2015 (locus cache and JJ52), lots of unloved time here!!! But hang on someone has logged the cache in Jan 2016[?][?][?] What is going on here I wonder.
As I read the logs all becomes clear and I realise the cache location has been changed and that I have found the missing cache from the old location, not the current new cache!
So there's no unloved time for me but still my name is in the logbook so this tricky cache has been completed for me after 3 visits and at least 1 3/4 hours of cumulative searching time. I'm happy and relieved

Both J's returned to finally put this cache into the Found pile. After discovering a simple error in my maths, we now had yet another GZ to search.
GZ could have taken some searching too, but luckily I had the sneaky hide in my hands in just a couple of minutes. I really needed to get very close to the container before seeing it.
Thanks bregor.

Doh!
I've just realised that I added two numbers instead of subtracted. No wonder the hint didn't make sense!

I had some time to kill today, so thought I'd pop out and get all the clues again for this cache. With all the numbers I needed, I plugged in the new coordinates and headed off to an interesting location and began searching. After about ten minutes I decided to give up as all the small ants were driving me crazy. I will return with a second pair of eyes.
Headed out and grabbed a few caches while the family was asleep. Took a bit to locate the little sucker. Tftc and the prickles bregor.
A new cache has been placed today. It is in a new position and the formula to this cache been adjusted.
you are now looking for a camouflaged micro.
you are now looking for a camouflaged micro.
We arrived in Willunga today to have lunch with Mrs J's brother, but as we were a bit early, decided to find this cache.
Collecting all the clues was straightforward, and we set off for the final location with high hopes. We had the closest neighbour out in his front yard, so we tried to be as inconspicuous as possible. After about ten minutes of feeling and prodding about, we left with our tails between our legs. We will return.

On my way to the Seaside Six event, I was being followed by a brand new caching team, Railmax.
We picked up Ismartis, then JJ52 and headed out for a long and lovely day
I managed 10 cache finds and the event [^] for a great day out..even if Ismartis did ditch JJ52 and I on the way home to go Ingressing
Woohoo! Second time lucky
Stopped here at Willunga simply to look for this cache and JJ52 looked there while I looked there and then we swapped. I did spot the cache without the light, I merely wanted to make sure nothing else was waiting for my fingers to enter its abode
Really enjoyed the drive last time but truly enjoyed the find this time!

After a previous DNF on this one locus cache and I were driving past after an event at Pt Elliott and we decided to stop off here to have another go.
It still took us longer than it should have...we started looking in the wrong spot, went to the right spot and still no cache. It was only after persistence by locus and a bit of torch light that the cleverly hidden cache was found.
We gladly signed the log and replaced the cache feeling pleased and relieved. [^] [^]
Thanks for the cache bregor.

Did the clues in the morning, but ran out of time, as we had a lunch date in mclaren vale, so came back in afternoon and after a bit of searching finally had cache in hand
Cache replaced today. You are now looking for a small black film like container with an aerial attached. There is also an additional hint. Please replace as found.
Kneel and feel, now that could be fun
So hope that I get back to find this cache soon.
Thanks for the prompt replacement bregor, it is a lovely multi that deserves to be enjoyed by many geocachers

Out caching with JJ52, locus cache and Gral4 today. We had a bit of an agenda to stick to and this cache was not originally part of it but got added in.
We drove around and took the photos and then tried to find the cache. The hint had us baffled for a while until we came across some UFO's and the penny dropped. That didn't help us find the cache though. We just about sieved through all the mulch we could lay our hands on after reading some of the previous logs but no cache was found by this intrepid foursome today.
Thanks anyway Bregor. I look forward to returning to this lovely place another day.

International Earthcache Day. After attending an event earlier today, Gral4, JJ52, Ismartis and I headed down south to find ourselves an earthcache and a few other caches too.
By the day's end, I had attended the event [^], found 1 Earthcache and found 9 caches , had 2 DNFs and had lots of laughs
We drove the miles, took the pics and then headed for GZ. Spent quite some time at GZ looking and looking, even did some weed disturbing digging since a previous log spoke of lots of mulch. We also emailed and then kindly received a PAF call from the previous finder (thank you) but all to no avail.
I guess this is a cache that I WILL be coming back to as I really enjoyed the history lessons at each WP.

Geez Mary McKillop sure got around, and we loved that unique tree feature at one of the points on this cache, great job bregor.
We covered a few kilometres doing your caches today and we come away a more knowledgeable pair for it.
Cache in good nick, signed the log and replaced cache for the next hunter. Thanks bregor

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Currently camped with our Caravan at Kuitpo, we had a late start to the day but decided to head out and keep our fingers crossed that the rain didn't get too heavy.
Managed to visit Willunga and we were very impressed with this lovely town. Even managed to grab a late lunch at a cafe, which was really really yummy. Hope to revisit next week.
Of course we grabbed a few smilies whilst here and loved the history and views shared with us today.
Loved getting out and about and collecting the info and visiting these spots.

Today our plans are to cache Victor Harbour with earthlight & the x trailers picking up caches along the way, we didn't quite make it that far as we kept stopping to grab some of the many caches along the way, all told i managed 67 with no DNFs the weather held out for us today with slight drizzle towards the end of the night finally turning into heavier rain, gwen from the x trailers hit her milestone of 5000 finds tonight and it was smiles all round, it was a great day had be all and another trip is already being planned to get to Victor with no distractions on the way (yeah right lol) a great drive around here collecting the info today and we loved seeing some of these fantastic buildings this area has to offer, once we had the info we found the cache out in the open, i am guessing a animal didn't like it in there lol, it is tucked in at ground level now with some mulch over it, animal happy and cache is happy : ) TFTC
It certainly pays to be a tourist around your own state.
So much history in this area.
Found with 3LG and the x-trailers.

We loved exploring Willunga via the multi, collecting the information and visiting the heritage sites. A far more interesting town than you'd have thought, isn't it? And the final was both exactly where I thought it was, yet not. A bit trickier than I imagined! TFTC, bregor. =^.^=
Really enjoyed the research and tour involved in collecting the clues for the Willunga multicaches. The locals are obviously very proud of their heritage, and thanks, bregor, for highlighting this in these historic-based and informative caches! Cheers from Featherwaite!
Found It!
What a strange place to put a bell... Nice GZ location to!

I had worked this one out a while back but only got around to doing it today. Great hide, blends in very well in its hiding place. TFTC
Had a bit of extra time to spare in our day down here, so checked out this multi (unfortunately didn't have time to do the other one as well) [^].
Interesting to see some of the local history - especially loved the bell and the fact it was still in place .
Found the clever hide (only seen one other like this before) between passing muggles [8].

The things you learn on an Easter Monday. Well set up multi with some really interesting facts about the local history. Can't ask much more than that. Not sure about UFOs at GZ as I suspect I may have been able to identify them quite easily (and they should be preceded by a Fore-warning). TFTC bregor.
Went for a bike ride in Willunga instead. Lovely afternoon out. Found this quickly. Loved learning more about Willunga. TFTC!
Didn't do the drive, walked all the way and saw quite a bit of Willunga. Thanks for the journey.
Our numbers took us to a spot that fitted the hint, and there was something at GZ that offered a hiding spot, but we couldn't find a cache. We widened our search area, but the result was the same. Our thanks anyway to bregor.
This was a pleasant multi to do on foot until last wp as little geo was getting tired.Loved learning about the history Thanks Bregor
Thanks for some history in the Willunga area [^] Geo daughter got a little tired walking this one so we decided to head back to the car and drive to the last one TFTC
Got to learn a bit about the area, seen more of Willunga then I ever have before. Great multi
Got to GZ and didnt see it straight away but after some bending and moving i finally had the cache in hand. Found 2 UFO's which i sent back to whence they came after the landing spot was clear of aliens.
Found on a great ride between McLaren Vale and Willunga to see the TDU 2012. Had some time just after the riders' 1st pass up the hill before they would come through again so what better way than grabbing a multi. It was neat learning about the history of the town. TFTC.
A nice drive around town. Found 3 of the afore mentioned UFO's while looking for the cache at GZ. Thanks bregor.
Great history in this town especially about Mary Mackillop. Working in a Catholic school meant that this was very interesting history indeed. Glad we did our maths right and worked out. coordinates right. TFTC tnln.
Out with a good mob today doing caching - this was one we targetted. Thanks bregor
Found at 15:52 with Olga, on a day out with Shonkylogic, Firesafe, Honeysucker, Liz and Bruce.
A very nicely concealed cache.

Visited a while a go with Liz and Bruce, and visited again today, with more success. Having a few more finders helped. Firesafe, Honeysucker and Team Unicycle joined in the fun.
I visited the three waypoints for this great multi on foot. There is some interesting history in this neck of the woods, I saw a plaque indicating a local connection with Mary MacKillop.
Like others before me I was doubtful about the calculated GZ, but a visit proved fruitful with the cache being found after several minutes of searching.
Thanks for the history lesson and the cache bregor.

We found the waypoints for this cache quite fascinating and enjoyed them. GZ was another story altogether. Our coords had it in the golf course so we thought it was wrong, but some of the logs seemed to indicate that this was right. Had a brief look, feeling very uncomfortable being here with golfers and groundskeepers about. No luck, but we only had a very quick look before we decided to give this a miss.
No find for us - we saw a perfect spot where a cache may have been hidden but it wasn't there today.
Took newbies with us but no luck at what we think is GZ, thanks for the hunt.
Well here it is!
Today was my first time caching on a Xmas Day.
I found my 300th GC.com cache on 1 January 2010, my 500th on my 50th birthday in July, and starting today I had 686 finds, so my mission was to get 14 and make it to my 700th find.
Mission accomplished.
Out caching on a perfect afternoon, starting at Kuitpo with "Do they know its Christmas Hill", working over to Willunga, eating a picnic lunch there, before heading out into the rural hinterlands towards McLaren Vale.
Most finds today have been straightforward and I was wondering if there was something a bit more 'significant' to find for the milestone.
My girlfriend Ingrid suggest this one and I jumped at it immediately.
We enjoyed the little tour of part of Willunga, with the history lesson, especially seeing the bell in the tree.
Competition between Ingrid and her twenty something daughter Nicole had been intense most of the afternoon, and I had been doing some 'lazy man's caching' letting them get the finds and bringing me the container, but I was more than pleased that I actually had the find here.
Overall, a great experience for us all.

Sometimes you just have an off day. Thankfully today was an on day, and the cache was found.
Don't know how we missed this last time, but we got there in the end this time.
With the answer in hand it was just a matter of dodging the balls, and finding the cache. The only thing was that despite it being Sunday, and also Valentines day, there weren't any golfers!
Made life easy as we could search as much as we wanted. In the end M found the cache, called out to A (who didn't hear because of the wind, and kept on searching), signed the log, and returned the cache, all whilst A continued her hunt 20m away.
Great tour of an hold historic town.

Information for "'G" is no longer available.( The info board has been removed). The final cache formula has been amended. Thanks Ozibags for alerting us.
I went on a drive around Willunga picking up the clues and a little bit of history of the area. For example I didn't realise Mary McKillop spent time in Willunga! I had a spot of bother for clue G - I couldn't find information to answer the question - if the info is on a sign, then the sign has probably gone.
Luckily I was able to make an informed guess for the answer to G.
Then onto final GZ and a quick find, along with an almost brand new golf ball - another of the benefits of geocaching .

Quickly collected all the information and made our way to gz. As we walked in another car drew up and we thought it might be another cacher. Turned out to be the Penny drops who had an easy find this time as the cache was in our hands when he caught up with us. Had a good chat. Nice to meet you!
Enjoyed the history in this multi especially the bell tree. Thanks bregor.

After your little foot note about the cache still waiting for the find I decided to go back and be more thorough.
Pulled up as a couple were walking toward the GZ. Spied the GPS in hand so I knew it was safe to approach.
Hello it was the Stanleys very nice to meet you, best bit was they already had the cache in hand so all I had to do was sign the log and add my penny to the cache.
We stood and had a chat for quite a while and I am one to chat just a little bit, also aware I was keeping them from other caching we seperated moved on to the next hunt... Really nice to meet you thanks for making this one so easy, cheers Mal.
Thanks Bregor for the cache it was excellent.

Visited the cache this morning(28/9). it is still nicely nestled in it's hidey hole.
I think this one has gone walkabout, Searched in around the obvious point at GZ.
Used a stick and scraped under around over and through that big hide hole.
Loved the town and the walk, TFC
Will watch to see if someone else can score a smiley here

Since we had time before we had to be elsewhere for dinner we squeezed in this cache.
All WP's were found easily, and again it's more of Willunga on show. Had never noticed the bell before though.
Once at GZ we hunted around for 10 mins but had to give up due to a watching muggle, and our lack of confidence in finding this one.
Shall return.

Great little multi that Auzee and I thoroughly enjoyed. Between this and the Hounding Willunga one, we saw a lot of very interesting bits of Willunga that we would never have known about if not for caching. The final hide was excellent too. Almost didn’t find it . Tricky. Cheers Bregor.
Funny how the final GZ ends up here, we had to wait 5 minutes while the martians had left the area

Enjoyed another multi in the town. particularly the bell! T bookmark and L badge. No coin to be found here either. TFTC
Got to our final destination after visiting some interesting places. Spent some time looking in a lot of likely places (as had obviously some earlier visitors) with no success. Rang the Hurtle helpline to confirm we were in the right spot and then after a further search located the little fellow.

I did "A Drive in Willunga" first only to be pipped at the post. Then I went on to do this one. Both were very interesting and educational.
Thanks for all the hard work that went into making both of them. I really enjoyed them.
This is my second first to find, I left the Travel Coin (not mine). TFTC.
