Sorry, but can't find the time to get out to this one for maintenance. Since many other caches have now been placed in the area, I think this one can go into retirement. Cheers, coral.sea.cat
Sorry I haven't had time to get out there to replace this cache before Christmas. Have new cache ready to hide and will be there before the end of this week. Cheers, Coral Sea Cat.
Could not find this cache, there had been a recent very high tide, suspected that the cache might have floated away
It's been over 15 years since I last visited Armstrong Beach and was surprised at all the new housing in the area. Arrived at the GZ and commenced my search for the prize. Searched high and low for close to 15 minutes, but had no joy. I think I may have left my caching eyes at home.
A sunny morning was a good time to head out and explore the beaches around Sarina
First up was Armstrong Beach.
I wasn't expecting the huge railway yards and the sight of coal trains lined up eight or ten deep along the way [:o]
Nor was I expecting to drive over the last hill before towne to be greeted by the sight of suburbia stretching out on all sides
This isn't how I expect a sleepy, seaside location to look !!!
Passing through the monotonous scenery of look alike houses, with no trees or shade, I was relieved to find that the original bit of Armstrong Beach still looks like it has for many years, with olde beach shacks, green lawns and shady trees lining the streets.
Of course, being a weekday, everyone was at work, so the beachfront was the peaceful spot, with idyllic views that it should be [^]
And after a short stroll I found a cache hidden away too
TFTC and detour !!

Was quit easy to spot. Hid it a little bit better (put a rock on top). TFTC. Nice place. Love the toilet nearby (I know sounds weird, but you'll see what I mean).
Found it took some looking but finally found it. Was our first go so was very exciting,, looking forward to finding more

22nd of 36 finds on a four night holiday to Mackay for a wedding. Pizpi and I found this cache at 10:28.
After a long drive we arrived at the car park and wandered over the GZ. After clambering over the rocks we were started to get concerned the drive had been all for nothing. After spreading out and climbing over more rocks Pipzi located the cache. After re-hiding the cache we took the easier way back to the car, the boat ramp.

Was having a bad day. So JuniorSeeker2 and I packed up to do some geocaching. A lovely secluded spot. TFTC.
Didn't sign log,as I didn't have a pen. Cashe in good condition. Taken nil. Left nil. TFTC.
Arrived the same time as some council workers on lunch, lucky we were away from the picnic table and they couldn't see us, cache found, log signed and replaced without being seen. TFTC
Found on the 2012 Tour de Eclipse. That is one small cache for a frog. One giant leap for the Amphibian nation.
Found on the great Eclipse Trip of 2012 with Freddo. A quick find - no crocs either. Nice cool breeze too.
A day of caching from Ayr to Koumala. A road trip with a chance to stretch the legs is a good thing.
Thanks to coral.sea.cat and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Found nice little cache, exactly where GPS co-ords indicated...signed log, took nothing and left a tag.

This was the second time I tried to find this one. Luckily.. I have sharp eyes TFTC
After visiting the Sarina markets thought we would do a few caches.
This took us to a nice beach location that has great views.
Good clues made this an easier find than we expected.

Easy find but well hidden as once again we were crawling over rocks and through bush to find. Don't forget the Aeroguard.
We noted that this cache has recently been relocated, but it was a relatively straight forward find and the hint was very useful.
We took Fireman Fred and will relocate him up north to Cairns.

Armstrong Beach cache is available once again. I have placed a new cache in a more muggle-proof location. It has an assortment of swaps and a travel bug inside. Sorry, no room for a pen.

Went out this morning to swap travel bugs and found the cache has disappeared. I will assemble another cache and replace it in a less obvious position to make it more muggle resistant. Cheers, coral.sea.cat
Easy find good hide. A few muggles. Did a trade took a heart with a bible scripture one it and left an indonesian note and coin TFTC
Yorki and the hound were muggled out of this one on our way north by some backpackers having breakfast. We could see where it was hidden. Came back for morning tea on our way south and recorded our visit.Took paper coin GP8WJ2.left a marble. TFTC
Found on a day of geocaching. Log & container were wet so put a new log in a clipseal bag, threw out the wet swaps & put new dry ones in & dried out the container. Sorry can't adopt this cache, am moving to Townsville, but is in good condition for the moment. TFTC
Stayed the night at this beautiful beach and collected the cache in the morning before we continued on our journey. Log was a soggy mess so we left a new one. Cache may collect too much water in the wetter month but it was all dry now. Great location although we had to fossick a bit due to the abundance of cover. TNLNSL.
Found ok after a short detour off the hi-way to this quiet little place. Log book was damp, but signable. Thanks for bringing us here tigersden
Located this one quickly with Craigss21 and Becka80 but it was pouring with rain and had to be muggle aware. Watch out for mozzies.
Found it with Sattlepop and becka80. Very wet done and log book was very wet. TNLN. TFTC.
Found this afternoon in very heavy rain had to be muggle aware. Log book very soggy. Found with Craigss21 and Sattlepop
Brahms6 found this on. The geokids thought it was a snake hole but we went in anyway. SL took Marble left pink pistol and a rooster. Contents very wet dried it out but log book is quite soggy.
Found at 2000. Still there, still damp. still wrote in the book. nice hide
Took Medallion,
Left Ribbon.

Even though its disabled, we went for it anyhow, as the Nuvi doesnt have a disabled icon, just no icon, and the owners log wasnt clear if the cache was still insitu. Cache is dry, but log is still a little damp, but perfectly usable. We dried the baggie out as best we could. The cache didnt need drying. We cleaned the container seal well. Found at 1500hrs.

This was an easy find, but it was waterlogged, even in the plastic bag.

Nellie Melba was married to Charles Nisbet Frederick Armstrong for a couple of years and reputedly spent some time here, hence the name. Oh by the way we found the cache even if we did have a bit of a scratch around in a couple of very likely spots.
Thanks Tigers Den

Awesome hiding spot. I think the family in the house nearby must have thought I was a little weird walking around in circles for so long. The mosquitoes were eating me alive too.
Took my parents geocaching today and we had a nice stroll along the beach to this one.
Found in the obvious spot, and took the geocoin to move on to another place.
Pretty little spot, but I was disappointed to find no crocodiles

another spot I used to come to as a kid, having relatives that lived only metres from the boat ramp, thought I knew where it would be ... but damn it must have been awhile since I was out this way for the area has changed considerabley. GZ is a pleasant little spot, with some effort taken to make the spot appealling ... but as for the cache
mmm ... with the GPSr (and me) wandering around all over the place, there seamed to be numerous possibilities, but I didn't want to draw too much attention to myself.
Put the toy away, sat down and identified a number off possible sites ... the 3rd one came up trumps.
SL - discovered the geocoin (I thought I might have seen it before) and squeezed a hippo head into the cache.
cheers - now for a drive around to check out the new subdivisions.

This cache contains a log, a pen, general swaps (marble & a snake) and a WINNERS golden medalion for the FTF.
