I checked the cache today and it was melted, and surrounded by charred trees, time to go.
A fire has been through here, and until I can get to the cache and see if it survived, and whether the area is still OK as a site for a cache, I'll have to disable it.
After a bit of bouncing around with the GPS managed to zone in on the GZ and found the cache, thanks for bringing me to this park I never knew it existed TFTC
Found with Ris768, we spent some time wandering about as the GPS signal kept bouncing so then we started looking for likely hiding places & soon had the CIH. Thanks Rainbow Spirit for placing & maintaining this cache

I spotted this cache the other day and was surprised it hadnt seen any attention in so long.
Due to time constraints i was unable to come and grab it then but with a few hours to spare today i decided to slip out and come check out the area.
Once i reached Lt Cantello Reserve i was happy to find the place muggleless except for one chubb security guard who was just finishing up his lunch as i drove up.
The GPSr led me across the sunny field to the GZ.
Thanks to the clue, good coords, and some luck it didnt take me long to find the cache.
The container is in good condition and the log is dry.
Thanks.

In between meetings I came along for another RS cache. Another very peaceful area and a fitting tribute to a fallen veteran.
In an earlier log on an RS cache today, I mentioned knowing a few of the hiding styles deployed. Well, I had one type of camouflage in mind and after exhausting all possible areas, I rethought the options and very quickly had CIH. Nicely done Rainbow Spirit.

2nd attempt and no killer mozzies eating me the day and we had success with Joshwyatt83
Took us a few minutes, with the etrex taking us for a walk. Finally saw a suspicious looking tree and there it was. TFTC
I thought this park had been destroyed by the construction nearby but I was pleased to see that it's still here.
Found after a little bit of a search.

Spent as long as possible looking considering we were being swarmed by Mozzies GPS was all over the place and with so many trees was hard to pinpoint
Just to keep Brewmaster happy I was at the Australia Day Belated as well!
I came to this place many years ago for a school cross country and would have no idea that this is here. It is a lovely quiet reserve close to all the facilities.
As with any Rainbow Spirit hide there is a bit of a challenge. There were several obvious places but it took a little longer to search out a well hidden cache.
Thanks Rainbow Spirit yet again.

I saw there was a dog park nearby this one so took geodog Zelda for the drive out this way. A search for the cache first was quick and easy. All good inside with a fairly new log sheet. I recognised the previous 4 finders as all attendees at my recent Aussie Day event! TFTC.
We then headed over to the memorial to pay homage to Lt Cantello. Then over to the dog park for Zelda to have a play but unfortunately there were no other 4 legged friends here on this warm day so she had to entertain herself. Nice dog park though!

After successfully completing a number of caches earlier in the day around Cecil Hills it was now time for frazeydaze, marj01 and oldmorty to move camp and search for some other caches around Holsworthy. Another cache by Rainbow Spirit. I thought we had finished with his caches back at Cecil Hills. I was born a few months prior to the midget subs entering Sydney Harbour and I remember my mother relating the event several times to me over the years. TFAC Rainbow Spirit.

Being in the area for appointment we headed over. The GPSr had us in a bit of spin until we spotted the hide. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Found it. TFTC. Hasn't been found in almost a year and the log was far too damp to write on.
Nice find on a lovely day in this beautiful reserve. GPS was having a hard time getting a fix with the coverage, but a wide scout of the area we soon located the cache. I think some of the camo had fallen off, so replaced it once we put it back. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to the area.
I widened my search from the GZ that my device indicated and found the prize behind an obvious hiding spot.

26/3/16. 9:37 AM. Cache #3683. Streak day #644.
4th of 5 finds today - Voyager Point, Hammondville & Holsworthy.
Seeing as this one's in the same park as my last find, "Woof Woof 2", it made sense to continue to this one on foot. Didn't take me very long to find it at all. 'Please replace the camoflage' - what camoflage?
Looks like I can't finish all of Hammondville today because "Play Ball!" is currently disabled. So headed south to "Stray Bullet" instead. TFTC.

Found cache in the open, needless to say a quick find was made. Rehid in a most likely spot. Bit of an eerie spot. TFTC
While I was in Sydney for a few days dealing with work commitments I thought I would get a few smilies also. Unfortunately I could only get out on the last day so as I had a few hours prior to stepping on my plane I thought I would get a few.
Worked around this location for a few years and never knew this place existed. Caching brings us to so many beautiful places and this is one of them. The park had many a families playing and even more in the dog enclosure all running around. I headed off from the maddening crowd and made my way according to the arrow on the GPS. As the trees got thicker the closer I got to GZ the arrow bounced around like it was on LSD. I searched for about 15 minutes about to give up when something caught my eye that was just not belonging.
Being long and broad that had no place beside the tree I picked it up and looked for its matching partner, noting but one small part. Well low and behold there the cache was.
Very clever concealment and thank you for bringing me to this park and the memorial for the HMAS Kuttabul and the US airman who passed away on site.

Great afternoon of caching with Mr Hancock. As he had already found this one, I quickly ducked over and grabbed it.

Nice area lots of people about with their dogs. It is always good to visit these memorial sites as well and find out a little more about WW2 history. Found the cache without any problem and the mozzies weren't to bad either today. TFTC.
YAY our second appearance here after the first time was a disaster. Last time we were eaten by some dinosaur looking ants, they really hurt when they bite. Good hide, Good cache. This is where we found GeoCoin HC2G90, it has been passed onto "1st Picnic Point" scout's honour TFTC
I have passed this street leading to Hammondville many many times in the past and saw the sign. I have often wondered who Lt Cantello was..now I know the story. An interesting memorial in a large pleasant reserve. Oh yes..and the cache.....wandered around in the trees for a while as the GPSr was leading me on a little chase. Soon had the CIH. TNLN, SL. Walked the short distance from my First to Find at Woof Woof 2 to this one. On the way two girls and their very big "off leash" dog came my way. Impressively, they called it to stop as it bounded towards me - and it did.
Near GZ the iPhone decided to send me this way and that. Five minutes of aimless wandering produced no result. Then I was pointed a little away from where I'd been searching and spotted something suspicious... CIH.
Some of the camo had dislodged, making it an easier find that it probably should have been. Rehid with (hopefully) more sturdy camo - only the next finder will know!

Cheers for this cache. Was interested to see and read about this spot both from your discriiption and from the monument it's self. Replaced the cam best we could and the mozzies are something else .
Mozzies win this time! TheRomulans will be pleased I didnt find on first attempt.
Bring repellant, the sun is still high is the sky, but those mozzies are brutal. Couldn't handle them any longer had to bail

After reading the memorial it was nice to hide in the shade of these trees on a hot day. Can't say I have as interesting story as bikerbuddy! Thanks for the cache!
Found it easily enough, though I was walking toward the memorial thinking it would be nearby, before I noticed that my GPSr was pointing toward another place.
Managed to get off work a little earlier than usual so some time for a cache on the way home. Pretty quiet in here today, with a quick and easy find ensuring I still made it home on time.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache Rainbow Spirit!

Interesting to see the memorial and read the plaque. What an unfortunate event. Got accosted by a friendly dog. Other than that it was a pretty quiet afternoon. Found the cache OK.
Did it at 11:30pm...
Had to walk 550metres from the gate
With my two mates we found a path by torch light
Walkies died... 3 torches not working
Went in & found an area that looked right
Thought we would have no hope but found it ok
Then when we were going out. All 3 of us disagreed to the way back so we split up !!
Finally got out by yelling & faint torch lights
Haha !!
My mate was freaking out

I really don't need to say anything about this one, there's not much that I can add to bikerbuddy's fairly accurate description of how this went down.
In my defence, several of your hides we'd been to earlier in the day suggested that where I went looking was a logical spot to search. I think I shall believe that where I looked was where you intended the cache to be and someone moved it to another spot .
Thanks for a 'fun' cache, I certainly won't forget it anytime soon

This was one of a number of Rainbow Spirit caches we did during our day in the Liverpool area. We had been trained by his previous caches to expect the unexpected and assume he would have no mercy! Unfortunately, cruelty sometimes exists in the application of mercy!
Toriaz, who was forced to stand by earlier in the day while I extracted one of Rainbow Spirit's more devilish hides, now wanted to prove her mettle. So, with a sure thought of where it might be, and a determined grip, she went where no man (certainly not me or Canary) was willing to go. But the cache was not where she believed it to be. To prove this fact, Canary found it in an easily accessible spot just as Toriaz reached the zenith of her heroic climb. And much like a dog that follows a rabbit into its hole only to find that it cannot back out, she was left clinging, in situ, while we stared in wonder at her posterior.
Now, this was the awkward part. While the cache was easy to extract and return, Toriaz was less easy to remove. Canary wanted to poke her with a stick, while the tree that she now clung to like a sloth decided it might start to crumble, thus sending her sideways like the Coyote with a plaintive sign reading "Help!" Canary Senior and his eldest boy rushed to help, and then did this thing with their hands in the air, wondering what part to grab. Then I rushed in, fearful that something was going to break (or someone get crushed!) and found myself trying to create a controlled fall as Toriaz hit the ground.
Apart from that, it all went pretty smoothly, I thought . Thanks

A very early visit this morning, but luckily the gates were open. Had the feeling I was attacked by mozzies the whole walk, but couldn't find any bites afterwards!. Not an easy to spot cache in the dark!

First attempt for our first cache. No luck but 2yo had a blast looking. We'll try again another time!
This was the last for the day of 5 on the list. After fighting through the scrub it was so easy, as I was getting a mobile call from my wife I nearly walked on it, it must have fallen out of its tree so I logged in the book and put it back where I thought it came from I will have to tell RS. Thanks.
A pretty quick find, found it in the first place I looked, not bad considering all the possible trees in the area. Camo was a bit lacking so I added a bit more. I've been to this park before but I wasnt aware of its signifigance. TFTC
Found it on a sunny winter arvo with two jr cachers!
Would have looked less conspicuous if I had of taken a four legged friend!
Little one actually found cache as it was on ground !?!
Put it back in a tree, however, there was not much camo as such. Replaced ziplock bag as it was holey and the log was a little damp.
Found one (from two attempts ) RS cache today!

Found this afternoon during a break in our Easter family festivities - thanks!
Found by Mary & David at 1110. What a lot of Defence history is represented here. Very interesting to read all about the story, and to imagine that time. A great area of bush too. We have a series of caches with a "Those Magnificent Men" theme that this cache would suit very well. Our thanks to Rainbow Spirit.
Wasn't able to get close to GZ today as the general area had turned into a lake after all the recent rains. Didn't fancy wading to the cache. We will be back
Found with SESBLOCKER. Nice quick find. Also found a dumped motorbike (complete with motor and wheels) covered in heaps of pine needles about 5 meters away from the cache! Looks like a posties bike that has been pained gold, maybe it was stolen???? TFTC Rainbow Spirit
