Got to see some trout being released while finding the cache. Nice way to spend the school holidays.
Interesting spot for a geocache. My daughter played Canoe Polo in Christchurch at Lake Rua. TFTC
The trees kept mucking up the GPS, no idea if I even found the right tree in the end!
You can live in a place for years and not even realise what's in your neighbourhood. Nice spot
#824 No Marco around but plenty of Polo to be seen from here. Looks like a lot of fun!

First find for me and the kids (4 and 7 year olds). It was a sunny day with lots of muggles nearby for a remote model yacht race. This added to the excitement, making sure we weren't spotted. Kids are eager to look for more. Kia ora for the cache!
Over this side of town so thought I'd check out a few caches. Quick find on this and cache all.good. thanks
Birthday find today! Got this on the way to picking up dinner, and cache was a nice easy find. As she was writing in the log, Bapgirl asked me what day it was Thankfully her mind caught up eventually, and the debate is still ongoing as to the state of her memory. TFTC!
Stopped of for this cache while checking out the lake. No pen handy so photo of log attached. TFTC
Headed out to the Lake to do the Ad Lab & a few caches on the way.Our boys played School & Club Waterpolo but never heard of this polo- great idea. Nice easy find of the cache & signed in Thanks
Was just about to give up on this one when I spotted it lying in the open, put back hopefully as intended, TFTC
I had some time to kill while Andrea was in the hospice to be with his brother, who is probably only hours from shuffling off from this mortal coil. This was a pleasant respite.
Day 21: The unexpected trip to Takapuna Todays journey was an entirely unplanned one thanks to a delayed flight that meant that we could only leave on the 24th rather than today as scheduled. Since the wife was stressed and all, it was a good day to unwind by the beach up in Takapuna. So, we made the trip and we found a few caches along the way around the area. Thanks for all the caches here, it really made the best of an otherwise slightly stressful situation. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:Another one found today with inspiration for the wife - I swear wed make a great team if she wasnt so averse to all the walking one must do when geocaching. I had to bounce ideas of her, and check that I had a good understanding of the hint - and made the find within minutes of her turning up to help me. Well amazing how this sort of thing works, isnt it? TFTC!
Up this way again with KGD and ABCDF4But in a different areaSome great hides thanks to the CO
Up in Auckland with ABCDF4 and eyespyben. Doing a bit of caching before attending an event. As we stood and signed the log our eyes were drawn to the water sports arena at GZ. Did not fancy taking part but happy to be here signing a log. Thank you for the placement.
Grateful for our early Saturday morning start with loads of parking across the road from GZ and no muggles in sight. Unfortunately this means I was unable to watch a game of waterpolo however, it means I will need to come back and check it out as I've never seen a game before. It was a quick find at GZ.Day two of my birthday long weekend and what better way to celebrate than by going geocaching with Lis's Crew. What are great summers day for caching in/around Milford.
It's raining and I am wearing a cap and a hood. I really didn't see the branch...
No worries, I didn't hurt it.
Otherwise a nice quick find.

An afternoon in Takapuna whilst my partner caught up with friends...
Not the facility I'd anticipated finding here, but then what do I know?!
No polo today, but some model boaties further along the water's edge.
Having pin-pointed the right location, it was only a matter of moments before I found what I was looking for.
Thanks G-2

Found quite quickly thanks to a good hint. At first I had visions of horses & polo but wrong game. TFTC
Had never been down here before, so interesting seeing the area. Didn’t take long to locate cache due to hint. Tftc

A nice quick find. Missed out here last weekend, as a car was parked with the drive looking directly at GZ . Now to battle rush hour traffic. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was another lovely sunny day. No biking today, just wandering and driving around. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

First Cache ever ! Took a while to find as it was my first one but a really good find
Out and about with NZ Iceman for the afternoon to pick up a few caches in the area.
What a cool little area. I'm not very familiar with places on the shore but certainly didn't expect to see a quarry and polo court here!
Thanks for the cache - nice quick find.

Back in the north shore to visit medical facilities for the day. Arrived well before opening time so I wandered about a bit then looked for a nearby cache. This one fitted the bill so I set off to see if I could locate it. It didn't take to long before I spotted the hide and signed the log.
Thanks for the placement.

Nice easy cache. Sorry we couldn't sign it as we are on a very un planned hospital visit. Decided to go for a walk while we were out and opend the app to see one close by. Tftc!
Cheeky find with great camo, wasn’t covered with rock but have replaced one. Signed LucyJNZ
The last time we were here there was a match on and so many muggles about that we didnt even get a chance to look .Back today and much quieter. Made our way over to GZ and made a nice quick find. Got to say we did enjoy watching the water polo the last time we were here so might be back another time. The things you would never know without geocaching.
It was a little exposed when I found but also hard to reach so couldn’t sign. Permission to log though! great cache
Nise spot with out the hint I would have been here for hours.

Looking back at the pics of this cache down the years it looks like it's had a few incarnations here. All good with the find and after signing replaced as found. Just some ducks and shags on the 'pitch' today, nice weather for them.
Find a cache day today, so found 3. Called in the nearby area on the way home and gobbled up a trio of G_2 treats, bet I won't manage my dinner now. The rain had been threatening most of the day and managed to soak me to the skin just before I left work so was glad to ditch the work jacket and get into a dry fleece.

The description intrigued me, and when I came down to retrieve the cache, I saw a few people who appeared to be setting up for a game of canoe polo. Interesting sport! TFTC
looked for this one with flossieteacake who found it while i got distracted looking at some cute ducks. TFTC
Nice quick cache. GeohoundandI was more interested in the ducks learning to play canoe polo.
