Had a really good look again, but luck wasn't on my side. Could CO please check if it's still there?
This cache has had a few DNF’s recently which may indicate that it has gone missing. As we are no longer residing in Auckland we are not able to easily check on it so it’s time to archive and allow another cacher to place one at this spot.
Attempted this one several years ago and came back today with enthusiasm and dedication, but sadly I’m now logging a DNF. I checked numerous likely spots, some two of three times but this one as evaded me again. Will try again.
Wow... That was a quick find and log...
Thank you for the cache

After a bit of diving nearby, we of course had to find this cache.
I didn’t find it last time I was here, but this time one of the group spotted it relatively quickly.
Thanks for the cache!

Last time I was here was last years lock-down so didn't even bother checking the phone for caches, but a return here to check this one out. Parked close by and headed too high initially so approached from a lower angle. After a quick check of 1 option I attempted to bank the second choice and spotted the cache just lying loose. After signing my name I replaced a little more securely at eye level. T F T C rosmar.
Today is a 5-day, a self-imposed 'improve to double digits day', another milestone (or is that another millstone?) towards world/stats domination - or not. With a plan to work from home for the afternoon, and having been over at Devonport (and placing a new cache) I was set to start to reel in some of the many options available on my (convoluted) route home. Ended up finding 7 caches, with 2 DNFs so not too bad.

Tried to find this one ages ago. Gave up on it ever since when I saw other DNFs. Then when a few others found it I thought it was worth another look. I employed the poke with a stick technique and soon uncovered the little beast. Very easy for this one to get lost in the leaf litter. Very happy to finally find it. Tftc
Thought this might take us some time to find. In the end it took longer to remove the fish head from the geohound's mouth. There were a couple of potential sites, but I found a conveniently placed stick and fished around with it, and a cache popped out!
Excellent camo.
Excellent camo.
We were out today exploring places we hadn't visited in Auckland before and this brought us to the lake here. We spent a while looking for this cache as either the coordinates were out a bit or the reception was jumping around a bit. Anyway, it just took us standing in the right place and looking in the right direction for us to spot the cache. Happy to make the find here. And enjoyed watching the waka ama crews training on the lake after making the find.
No luck here. Couldnt see anything likely except in one place but wasn't at all sure so gave up.
Gave it a few minutes search, but I couldn’t come up with it.
Will try again at some point.

Found it after a good searching including the previous logs, the coordinates really seems to be wrong. The log was missing one part. We used some extraction technics to sign it, heheh. Nice camo and place, I was just wondering how that lake was formed and this cache came to elucidate my question, very interesting!!!

Found it, but I don't think it is in original location. Sitting in open. CO may need to check.

Out geocaching on a sunny day around Lake Pupuke. Have tried here two times before. This time we went straight to it. Thanks rosmar.
Beautiful. Great work on this hide. There is some attention to detail on this one that I can't mention as it would spoil but good effort for a traditional I must say. Much appreciated.
Caching today with themexikiwi and enjoying the spring sunshine with everyone else it seems.
Took a little bit of looking, but moved away from where the GPS was suggesting and soon had the cache in hand. All good here. TFTC

This Cache was a very good Cache and had been hard to find, this was my 6 th time but worth the time because of the beautiful lake area,
Luckily I found the Cache maybe the Cache was dislocated by the adverse weather
Added a Part of a new Cache paper and placed back ,have messaged owner to relocate if required
Great Cache ,well made ,well done

Great camouflage but log impossible to remove! Paper breaking up. GPS twitchy.
Started out at 3.30 in the morning (all good plans start when it's dark!) The drive north was fantastic, virtually no traffic all the way through Auckland to the North Shore and in the company of Cats & Dragon's. We found our first cache at 4.30am and cached hard out untill lunch time. The weather held out for us, with the occasional lite drizzle. A fantastic day, over 60 finds a few DNF and a big hole put in the area.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed their cache for us to find and thanks for the great day!

Today was a chance to head out in the company of McCutchen Cache Clan for a little bit of a hit out around Takapuna and Northcote/Highbury areas. So trying to make the most of the day (and in that what I really mean is to avoid both people and traffic as much as possible. We headed up early and were actually caching just before 5am and were all over by noon so that we could get home to our families.

Having set myself a couple of personal caching goal for the year (or at least whats left of it) I thought I had better crack into it and start collecting so that hopefully the last 6 months of the years is far more productive than the first 6 months.
All in all a great morning was had and we managed to stay dry. Not too many DNF's, a couple of unattempted's as not able to get to them and plenty of founds. A few of the gully's that we traversed were very muddy and so was suitably grateful for the decision to bring the tramping boots to keep the feet dry.
Great collection of caches and some very clever camouflage by the usual suspects. So all in all 65 successful finds today with what the time allowed. I apologize for the rather generic logs but it was a bit of a rushed trip so things started to blur into each other.
Mr McC located the clever cammo on this one in the dark
Thanks to all the CO's for their contributions, thanks for the cache.

We had been down here once before we started geocaching. Lots of scuba divers around today. We made a quick find once we were at the right level. Good camo. Tftc
Great camo, but I'm developing quite a good eye for caches (sometimes). Found this one quickly in what was a somewhat obvious item at the gz. Thanks!
Didnt take us too long to find this one even though it is very nicely hidden.log is very damp but apart from that all is well.
This was another cache that I had visited before, so I didn't hold out too much hope for today. I searched the two most likely places, but then expanded a bit and got lucky and spotted the cache. TFTC.
After climbing in a tree I jumped down I sore the geocache on the ground so we replaced it up high the log book also got wet. TFTC
Great camo!! Found after about 7 minutes. Bit tricky to get log out. Lovely day for a walk along the lakefront - not too many Muggles around. TFTC
I was working in BMC theater today, so decided to find this cache. Stealth is highly required finding this one as its very close to the cars. I had to search bit here and there before finding it. Cache is all good here. Oops, i missed bumping into roymerc tft rosmar.
We and another group searched high and not low but didn't find it. But there was evidence of recent tree amputation...
I thought this was going to be a bit more of a challenge than it was. Nice camo but I saw it right there. Then since I haven't been here before, I took fotos of the old pumphouse. Lovely spot for a cache.
Parked in the wrong carpark, and so walked along the waterfront to the cache. Snuck past the people sleeping in their people movers, and quickly had the cache in hand. It was then an issue to work out how to get the log out! I didn't have any tools with me! After a minute or two I was there, and was able to walk back - this time along the road.
Had to keep a 2 week streak alive whilst i was in takapuna. Great spot for dinner whilst the sun was setting. Searched for nearly 5 mins before i found it. Great camo however co-ord are off
Nice easy park and grab. Good one for me to do without the kids because they wouldn't have been able to reach anyway!
Lots of muggles in the carpark doing their morning exercises - rowing, running and cycling. No one paid us any attention as we searched for this one.
There must have been something on today as parking was in short supply so I parked up on the yellow lines hoping we'd make a quick find. Once on the right level it didn't take too long to find. Found with Aiden29
Out with Merlot58 and we thought this would be a quick park up, but alas the carpark was full. So we parked illegally on the yellow lines beside GZ. Then we attempted to make the terrain rating higher than it should be. Nice camo.
Late afternoon, but I suspect theres a show on today given the early arrivals already turning up. Cache exactly where I suspected for a quick log and run...
Misled by a spoilerific photo, took us a little longer than it should, serves us right!
Another unique camo but unfortunately no pen to sign, highly muggled area so stealth is required, TFTC
Nice area down here. Took a bit longer to find as it's a bit dark this time of night. Nice cache. Log signed as b+p. Find # 3123. Thanks for the cache rosmar
After a picnic lunch on the lake shore with my little girl and our Rooster, we had a look to see if there was any treasure in the vicinity.
We were pleasantly surprised to lay our hands on this little hide in the first place we looked, before seeing Bad Jelly at the Pumphouse!

Made the most of this lovely Friday morning while the weather was lovely and sunny, Before the afternoon rain arrived,
Took me about 5 minutes to find this, as it was not where GPS was indicating, but originally eyed this area when arriving at GZ, so came over for a look, an almost immediately spied it, TFTC

On our way to the pumphouse and stopped to find this. Found by nana while I was still reading instructions. Tftc!
Found after my flat white in Italy, nice cammo, the carpark emptied out quickly after the show and the weather kept muggles away so easy to go in for a good look.
Took a small group of preschoolers to the nearby theatre for a children's show this morning. Afterwards I asked if they wanted to go on a treasure hunt and they were quite keen. Hopefully a few future cachers in our midst... we had a good search and they were quite chuffed to find it! Cute little hide, TFTC
Found after a short search but not where expected based on GPS. Great camo. TFTC
Out for a Sunday morning cache in the home zone with the whole team. Nicely hidden - great camo . Tftc
I have looked for this one a couple of times before. I had my caching eye in today and spotted it on my approach which made it nice and easy. TFTC.
Such a cool cache to combine with a nice swim! Will definitely keep that cool camouflage in mind when designing our own cache! Thanks a lot for hiding!
About lunchtime and after being out for the monring we had a couple of hours left before heading home, people enjoying jumping into the lake from the jetty to lots of squeals of delight and people having lunch breaks there we had to be a bit sneaky, but found the cache.

Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 on this hot summers day to do a bit of caching around Devonport and Takapuna. A few muggles about the lake on this hot day, but we managed a quick undetected find here. TFTC!

Thanks for the neat little cache. Found it with my youngest daughter while sisters at swimming.
Visiting Auckland for my cousins birthday - they live just up the hill on Auburn Street. They have lived in this area for years and have now moved in and done up an old family home. Graeme remembers running around this lake for rugby practice and that it was used for a film - I think it was something like 'Children under the Mountain" He also tells me that they are not really sure of the depth in some parts and that a couple of bodies have never been found. Very interesting or is he just telling stories TFTC
Tried to look for this cache over 3 years ago, but the carpark was so full of people and boating gear it wasn't possible to have a sustained look. Finally back in the area today and nobody was around. Set about looking in likely spots and within a few moments came up with the goods. Nice to get this cache ticked off. Nice camo. TFTC.
Time poor today meant that I only had very limited time to spare to hunt a cache out to keep the daily streak going. Luckily for me the parking was easy, and apart from a man sitting in his car studying his phone , muggle free. Two spots were of interest, the first stop was very brief , the second spot I couldn't believe my luck as it was right there in plain view! Happily signed log and replaced, not so easily in plain view! As has been mentioned previously great camo, TFTC
Looked and looked, avoided muggles, looked some more. Camo has fooled us this time!!
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely place! Nice camo, took a little bit of clamouring to find, but Madgajh spotted it and soon had it in hand.
Found on first try after some diligent looking. I think it is NOT placed properly. It is absolutey spot on coordinates but container leads me to believe it should be repositioned. Will send private email to explain. This one was a sweet challenge with very clever camo in an absolutely gorgeous place. I will definitely make a point of seeking out more of your hides.
This was the second time I had been to this cache after coming here months ago, but being muggled enough times that I decided to give up. This time no one was paying attention and no one was nearby so I had a quick search and had it in hand. Managed to get the log out and signed. I then stopped and watched the people sailing and the others learning to dive. A lovely day to enjoy the view. TFTC #306
Had me fooled second day in a row. This will no doubt need a muggle free time to give it a good loooking for
Teamed up with slieschke & FMZ to head north and get some very late night caching done before the flashing flash mob. Thanks for the replacement... TFTC
Found with alpenmilch80 before the August festivities were due to kick off while FMZ played decoy to distract the muggles parked nearby!
Thanks!
Thanks!
The GPS sends you to nowhere and the clue isn't too helpful. Please retake the co-ordinates and make the clue more helpful. Could you also find it yourself (to confirm that cache isn't missing)?
Thanks
Thanks
Checked on cache and replaced it where is should be. New log sheet. Please ensure container is put back exactly as found.
Our kids were taking part in the dragon boating competition, so I went for a walk to find. Probably needed more eyes to spot this one.
More of a did not attempt as there was a bootcamp in full swing to I decided to keep walking - lovely walk anyway!!
