I would suggest that the recent finds are not actually finds since about October.
sounds like its not all intact so I will re-position it when out that way next. CO
Unfortunately all that appears to remain is the bottom half of the icecream container. No contents, no log, no lid.
[green] Found with Hankenstone, Edvern and one other (I forget who) and myself. Edvern and I had tried for this earlier and missed it. Found this time.
Grrrr Searched climbing all over! Was showing a friend how much fun this is! My third hunt and ...only one find and The 9 year Grandie found THAT one!! I really need to find a better way to search than my phone. Couldn't get the hints and the fone's too eratic
found base of container and contents have been muggled have taken a picture if you require you may want to go and check this aroha and happy caching
At the location that matched the hint, I only found the empty bottom of a container.. no markings suggesting it had been the cache (and no trashed contents around it), so I can only assume it's gone.
24th October. First day of the Mega event in Kaiapoi.
Thanks for putting this cache out for us to find. Much appreciated.

No find for Edvern and I but we were in a hurry - Stardust had called and was ready for our trip, and I had left my GPS at the last cache, so we didn't search as thoroughly as we might have. Ran back to pick up my GPS. Whew! Still there!
Boy OH boy took a second visit for this one and were almost on the way home before success. Tftc
Wow.....nearly gave up for second time ...when Ric widened search and then it revealed itself !!!! thanks !
Found on a second visit. The Seagnoid and I had failed to find it the day before, but Stardust took us to it this morning as she had been there already. The hint had confused us the day before and it did not seem to be particularly helpful for this tricky hide. Thanks for the challenge though richbritty.
Oh no.... All I could find where I thought the cache would be, as the bottom of the likely icecream container
In town for the Mega event and of course one does as many caches as one can . The was one of the quality caches that we completed with Adventure Collectors. We had an awesome time , met many amazing cachers. TFTC
Initially over thought this one and was misdirected by my interpretation of the hint, but sat down and read through some of the older logs and everything made a bit more sense. Back on my feet and straight to the cache this time - TFTC
8.47pm. Out for some evening caching while at the mega.
This one took a wee while as I'm sure I may have disturbed it on first look and moved it just slightly as so not in view and missed it on subsequent looks.
Got it in the end.
Nice camo

8.45pm. As with other recent visitors this took a little while. The fact that it got dark and needed torches didn't help. With hindsight we searched too hard and concluded we had tripped over it much earlier in our search. Nevertheless it added to a most enjoyable evening caching walk from the Mega Event with The Pud.

24 October 2015Attending the mega. Enjoying the beautiful city of chch. The weather is perfect. The cachers are everywhere and 100%friendly.
Final cache for the night and it was surprising how long it may have taken five cachers to find a regular sized cache. We probably spent about 20 minutes looking and soon we were about to give up when I fell to my knees in despair and brush aside a branch only to find the cache. Some small celebrations were made including the cat that was hanging around, who also seemed to escort us back out. Names added to logs and soon on the way.

A quick find...
...NOT! Considering the size of this cache, it took us far too long to find it. Much bush bashing and scrambling about was done before it was finally spotted. An excellent camo job but we made it harder than it had to be

Our Third find of the might. Took longer than expected, even with 5 of us looking plus the local black cat. Was a bit surprised with all the cars going by, not one driver/passenger called the police to tell them of our headlights. TFTC.
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.

Second time lucky. Helps when you get the clue. Can't believe I didn't get it!!! Happy Mother's Day!!!
Well hid! Unfortunately not sealed properly but ok. PLastic bags are in poor condition and log book damp. Needs maintenance. Tftc

Between the DNF more than three years ago and spending too long looking today, this cache has taken an embarrassingly long time to find. TFTC (1442)
Would have found it quicker but the camo was just so good! The logbook was very damp and the plastic bag was broken. Nice spot though. TFTC
Got an opportunity to relocate a campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. With 5 days up my sleeve what better excuse, than to go find some geocaches along the way. Targeting certain caches along the way to help with the geo licence series in Auckland, so not a full on numbers mission, but managed around 70 finds over the 5 days. Thanks everyone for the placements.
Had to stop and get this one especially as it filled my caches placed calendar. Made a meal of trying to find this one and took a good 10 mins to locate it. Hint's a little confusing thou there is one very close by. TFTC.

My phone is useless and spent 20 min searching. Didn't understand the clue. Now I wrote it out at home I have clicked! Ish I had clicked at the location!!!
Not a lot of room for much else in this cache because of the size of the logbook! Simple find, and onward.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Great day to grab a few more of the caches around the place. Thanks Richbritty for the cache.
Can imagine this would look lovely with all the flowers out, might be worth a trip back out here later in the year. Ground was very boggy on the way to cache. Found and headed on to the next.
I didn't have the clue with me so it took much longer than it should have. When I did finally spot it my reaction was of a 'Duh!' variety. Thanks
Was in the area as Team Gaters and I were trying to knock off BaldEd's multi around Kaiapoi. We were walking past and would be rude not to visit. It took a bit of hunting even with TG having found this one before. Once we settled the well camoed cache was secured and I signed the huge log book/tome. It was massive. I guess CO doesn't have to come back for a few years to replace the log Such a lovely garden around here. The dew was heavy tonight. It's going to be cold.
Thanks for the cache.

Interesting wee stroll. Certainly is the largest log book we've seen. Made an exchange and signed the log. Pop's knee is a bit sore so might be the last one for the afternoon. TFTC!
Took a bit of scrabbling in the bush to find this well concealed cache. Nice size but what a big log book TFTC
First visited this one as an 'assistant' 2 years ago. Have driven past it so many time since then and thought 'there's one in there- I must go get it!'. Finally today we made the time to go and find it- a very pleasant stroll in the evening after the fish and chips event. Thanks richbritty
stopped by to grab this one after Fish and Chips in the park, lovely evening for a stroll in a very pleasant area. TFTC
Found as part of Team Spinner during our Great New Zealand Mega and other Adventures. TFTC
Teachermom and I are using the rest of our NZ holiday wisely (geocaching, of course). Today was our last day. This sure is a strange-shaped park. It is great that geocaching give a reason for being. TFTC,
Well having only arrived in NZ late yesterday afternoon it was time to get moving in our hire car.
So much to see and sooooo many caches to find.
We made a list late last night of a few along the way in the general direction that we knew we wanted to head. (having asked for some help with our itinerary planning on the local forum)
Parked the Geo Hire car safely in the street then enjoyed the walk along the garden viewing the Camelia's and Tulips, no flowering Rhododendrons though.
Well unfortunately the hint didn't make too much sense to us Aussies and like others have mentioned the GPS was a little lost here too. So we decided we would follow the geo trail. Soon enough think on the 3rd look Mr Felix had located the cache. Would you believe no sooner had he opened the spoils and a muggle and his dog wandered past. Am sure he was wondering what those Aussies were up to?
Never the less we said G'Day and carried on signing the log and dropping off a TB.
Great to then be sprung by the CO at another cache further on in our journey (small world hey)

My husband and I took our new son (2months) on his first Geo-cashe adventure!
I didn't understand the HINT but my husband knew what it ment and that did help us find it! Thank you

Staying for a couple of days in Kaiapoi.
Out for a morning walk without the kids.
Took a little to find this, as carefully camo'd.

Chocochunk and I looked and looked for this one before, probably about 8 or 10 months ago. Today we thought we'd have more luck, but it was just a repeat of what we went through before. Were on GZ and checked all places that correspond to what the hint says, and still had no luck. Shame. Very frustrating. At least the tulips were enjoyable.
My 3rd or 4th search and I had been hopeful given other finds since I last logged a dnf. But frustratingly empty handed again so might just have to treat this as a beautiful area and forget about the GC.
Gardens nearby are beautiful at present and in full flower. At last I found this cache that's eluded me before. And mostly without using the GPS as it seemed to do somersaults in the area. TFTC.
#406 Had a few problems getting to the GZ site but ended up having a lovely walk through the gardens to get there. Getting close and saw a couple of shifty characters trying to look innocent. Helped Ruru_NZ & her husband look and finally managed to snag the prize. Took Geocoin.
We headed further around the walkway to the GZ for here. Just add we arrived I spotted a walker coming from the other direction. I said, "Keep walking" to muggle hubby intending to turn back once they were past, but it was MacPacMum, so we looked together. Really should have read the first line of the description more carefully. It was a while before MacPacMum called "got it".
Was a relief to make a find as I start on the 2nd hundred days of a successful streak - day 101.

This took quite a bit of searching and it was getting rapidly darker. I did feel a bit silly popping out from the foliage in front of dog walkers but I had time to hiss 'Stay there!' to cfahey1 who stayed behind the trees and wasn't spotted or sniffed out. TFTC #125
TB in.
TB in.
Very nearly got muggled while searching for this cache. Luckily the dog walkers didn't look my way as I did a tree impersonation.
Great camo. Had us going for a while. Found with Espired. Close to gz where I had thought. TFTC
Found this one a lot easier. A change being on this side of the freeway! - Gee, what a lot of noise
A very friendly man walking his dog. Took us longer to find than it should have. TFTC.
TFTC. It was good to know that I didn't need to "bush bash" as it ook a litle gentle looking until the cache was located. Lovely area.
