Took a walk this morning. The cache is fine but has no logbook. I put in a sheet of my notebook. TB dropped.
TFTC and many greetings from Switzerland.

Found with Mr B while on a Canterbury cache raid. We had to sign the stash note but other than the log book everything else seemed to be ok. TFTC (9/78)
Normally finding the cache is the hardest part. But with this one, the hunt for the log proved to be trickiest TFTC
Logging visit even though it was taped off - really bad damage from earthquake here. Large fissures in carpark so don't try getting down there. Other places on a lean. Picked up TB to move as it looks like someone may have muggled the logbook - it wasn't there to sign and felt it better to place TB in another cache that was maybe safer.
No Logbook and was almost exposed in the surrounding plants. Placed back where I thought it went.
Last time I was here there were XS Muggles & no show of looking. Quiet evening & the area being taped off made a big difference.
A lovely spot & great shame about the 'quake damage to this area.
Left a small TB. TFTC.

Come back for another look. Why is it easy second time around? Area is messed up from quake!
The area is in a terrible state with the earthquake - with the way the structure is and the damage all around you may want to consider moving it as it has fallen to one side. If they get round to repairing it may prove an issue Little G Magic
Quick find. Lots of damage from earthquake. Big holes near the cache and the bridge on an angle.

Took a while and GPS reading was not as good as we would like to, but found it. A very informative place. TFTC
Had a look and nothing then I read the logs and I see I am not the first to not see it in a while
We went with our friends plae and searched extensively but could not find. [Flood conditions in the days previous might have flushed it out].
Went out with Team Tasker and some other friends so twelve of us in all searched and searched got wet and muddy but to no avail. However a nice afternoon out after a rainy spell and we will not be beaten but will be back for another try another day.
Got right under the bridge and dug around in the mud but no luck. Coordinates put GZ a bit upstream from bridge so maybe we were in the wrong spot - but then according to the clue....?
No luck for us as there were plenty of muggles, not ducks, to put us off.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
Didn't take too long to find, but Mrs W.E.K.A. ended up with muddy knees to go to the WWFM event cache at New Brighton. TFTC
(44) Out with Mini Brogan after school to find a few caches.. We were here a few days agobut got dark and plenty of Muggles about.. SL TNLN. Good cache and nice hide.
Found with Gottaway and others (on the 11th). Took some time to find the secret way in, but once that was located the cache was quickly in hand.
Dropped by to find this cache after hunting down a FTF at QE11. Where is OLd Boots when I need him to get into tight spots? Found after collecting lots of cobwebs and a bit of a struggle. TFTC Now I can cross offf one that has been close to home for far to long.
Wow that was tricky to find but we finally did! Found with friends out for a pleasant walk around Horseshoe Lake. TFTC
Nice spot. Busy place, had to come back to retrieve and log find 1:34pm today. Number 3 find for today.
We had a lot of fun at this cache. The ducks got lucky with a bit of our bread, and we provided a good laugh for ourselves AND some older muggles in the car park with our antics to extract the cache. They saw us, but given the possible damage to Annie's elbows & knees that retrieving the container could have caused, I think it's safe from muggles with walking sticks!!! Thanks for the fun & the cache. TNLN
Not one to be done on the way home from work but I was not leaving this one - ow my knees. (73) TFTC
No luck for the ducks today as we didn't have any food for them.Bit of a struggle to get the cache but got it in the end.TFTC
had to do a bit of a miss under the bridge to fing this one felt like a troll. found with rajwill fab spot
Found with Best_Beastie who spent quite a bit of time undercover to make the find. The ducks were unimpressed by our lack of bread!! TFTC.
The family spent a good while searching and playing in the area, but could not locate the cache.
Quick find, bit of tummy crawling and stretching to get to it though!
TNLNSL thanks!
TNLNSL thanks!
Once again a great spot to send the 7 year old when muggles are about. Who is going to question a child in such a place.
The geo-family had a nice wee stroll at this great spot. After living in Christchurch for decades and never visiting this spot, it took a return visit while on holiday to finally visit the lake. The ducks got fed, and the cache tally went up by one more TFTC
A good hidey place witha few duck muggles swimming by. I don;t think they will pass on the hiding place to other cachers. TFTC
Nice little spot for a picnic...I really felt like a hit of golf after driving past Christchurch Golf Course!!!! Quick grab and sign of log book TFTC
Had to wait for one lunch-eating muggle to move on, then retrieved it and sat down to write in the log. Whilst doing that another dog walking muggle turned up in a car, so had to wait for them to move on before replacing it. Great spot on a hot Canterbury day. TFTC
The ducks were looking rather expectant when we arrived. Low muggle count made for an easy find.
First time I aborted cause of muggles, second time I decided to have a peek. A nicely placed cache for a quick and easy retrieval.
Thanks for all your caches.
Use to come here as a kid and feed the ducks - good memories.
Cheers

Great one to do in combo with Four Cygnets. Busy spot and exciting for the kids being careful not to be spotted.
Found while out with 2 Apprentice Cachers. this one was their first find of 2 for today, and I don't think it will be long before we have another cacher team in Christchurch !
Nice hide, TNLN, TFTC

Almost gave up because of muggles, but then THEY LEFT! Originally I thought I was aiming for another container I could see, but the real cache was much easier to get hold of.
About sixth time lucky on this one. Muggled on each previous attempt. Good to get this one ticked off at last. Great little park, hence the muggles. A dusk raid on the way home from the beach. TFTC TNLNSL
With it being the middle of the day I thought there would be heaps of people around but no, the car park was empty and no sign of muggles so it was a quick search and log sign. Still lots of ducks looking for a feed. TNLN Thanks.
We had three attempts to get this one.First two times to many muggles. Then at long last no one there,so got it quickly and guess what a police car arrived,he came over to us sitting at the table and asked how long we had been there, with hearts pounding told him 5mins he said he was looking for someone shooting ducks with an air rifle.!!At that point a crowd of school boys arrived. Oh my gosh!! there we were with all our caches spread out for all to see. Finally every one left, except the cop so we bit the bullet and put it back and scarped. The joys of Treasure Hunting.Left Kiwi Tramper.Hope no one shoots him!!!
Nice area to park on a sunny day. Needed hint though. The info board was worth a read, then we headed down the track to eventually find another cache.
Probably the most troublesome cache of the day. GPS seemed about 8m out and after initial search could not find cache. decided to widen search a little and eventually found after ducking in and out trying to avoid gaze of passing cars. Had cache out signing log on table when another car pulled up so had to wait for them to leave before replacing. TFTC
Muggles everywhere, but cache found & signed. Start of bird watch caching afternoon. So many changes in this area, such civilised landscaping.
Once the duck feeding muggles moved on the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks Bitsprayer

Second time this weekend I 've been on my knees scrambling for a Gyargh cache, ducks busy entertaining the muggles,TNLN. Thanks Gyargh
#779 (1/6 on saturday afternoon drive). Easy find with no muggles around. Grew up nearby and kayaked often on the lake. Much wilder back then; there was very little access from Lake Terrace Rd due to overgrown willows.
This area would be lousy with muggles on a nicer day, so we were as lucky as the ducks. Was impressed by all the landscaping.
First of 3 Gyargh caches today. TFTC.

Nice easy find - surprisingly with not a muggle in sight. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1639)
The lucky ducks were being fed this morning when I arrived. But, fortunately the feeding was happening a distance away and so everyone was distracted enough that I could grab the cache unnoticed. Cheers Gyargh
Nice quick find with gjdjpoi and yet another potential geocacher as we did a few caches in the area. Nice spot.

Knuckles were a bit scraped after retrieving this one - a very out-of-sight and hard to spot hide, so good job! Luckily we had someone small-handed on the scene, and managed to sign the log and drop off a Geocoin before any Muggles took notice. TFTC!
Found place quite easily but a few muggles about.Hand too big so had to do a bit of improvising.Cold day but sunny.
Like the others, finding the spot was easy enough but retrieving it was helped by a mini-TIKE.
Well hidden our hands were to big managed after some trouble. I pleased I didnt know about the water rat till I started to log in. Left a Smillie magnet TFTC.
Hard to find the exact point the cache was but having the gardening boots on meant mud and water were no obstacle.
2731. Iris is in Wellington for a few days and the weather was too cold and wet to go geocaching by myself so I went out for coffee with the family instead. After enjoying the family time together I finally yielded to the inevitable and decided I would just do two or three on the way home! This was the third and final one for the day. No muggles around in the cold, rain and approaching darkness. The GPS was bang on so it took hardly any time before I had it found - but gaining access was another story! Finally had it in my hands and logged it before putting it back exactly where I found it so others could have fun getting their hands on it. Be careful as the surroundings can be wet, muddy and slippery - I know from experience! Thanks for the cache. Rodney - Sallies.
A nice easy FTF in the rain tonight, and so close to home. There were two cars in the car park with youngish muggles in both of them doing whatever youngish muggles do in cars in carparks late at night lol. So it was into stealth mode to retrieve the cache, and while on my hands and knees and out of sight,I was just signing the log when I relised I had the company of a nice big waterat right beside me seaking shelter too I guess so I signed the log and left him to it. TFTC Cheers Bo
Whoops, I'm not able to correctly date the find as 2010 but will continue with the log. Found on a beautiful sunny morning that portends good things for the coming year. It's an interesting noticeboard nearby. Thanks. Hatas
