Seems to have been a fair while since this cache was found. Had a nice look at the machinery here though which was nice. Would’ve been nicer to find the cache, does anyone know if it’s still hidden?
After caching around Whyalla,Pt Augusta and inland towards the Flinders,The X-Trailers and I are now heading to Coobowie.
Sad to say DNF today after a thorough search.
A great area full of history.

with Limbage ...this cache being his 1100 find ..well done ...thanks for the hide .
KarpyKarpyson and I embarked on a sweep of the Port Pirie region today. 30 caches in total for me. KK found this last one for the day. 1100! TFTC
Found It!
What an amazing place! I can't say I was expecting to find this out here! Certainly one of the largest collections of farm machinery I have seen in some time!
I found the cache with no logbook and the lid on the ground. Not on a tractor as past photo seem to suggest. I think the tractor the cache was one has been moved and they found the cache and placed it of the nearest item (in the shed). I signed the stash note, replaced the lid and left it on the machine it was on.
Then I went for a wander around and looked at the old machinery...

A fun little find amongst the machinery this morning
It took a while, but eventually an easy find was made [^]

A quick find in a top spot. Found the cache, wandered around and checked out the machinery, had lunch in the bbq shelter, left a GCA moveable here and then continued on our way south. Thanks.
What an interesting place out in the middle of nowhere. There is obviously a very dedicated group of community people in this area who are doing a great job of preserving a lot of history. Thanks - a great place for a cache.
Took me a fair bit of poking around, but eventually found it. Took croc, left smiley badge. TFTC! Really enjoyed coming out to this area!
I thought I was going to have trouble finding this one among the machinery but it was a quick and easy find. TFTC
When people ask me why I go caching, I usually say 'Because it takes you places you would otherwise never go.' Thank you for taking me here bowforce.
I don't normally spend much time looking at the scenery when I go caching, but I spent about half an hour wandering around the sheds, trying to work out what the machines do. I LOVE the penny-farthing, but I can't work out how anyone could actually ride it!
Thanks for bringing me here, bowforce!

Found as part of a two day Northern areas run with Team Waldron.
Great to see some camels wandering around near GZ
Took a few minutes but Team Waldron scored the find

Another little gem in the middle of no where. The friendly muggle camels required quite a bit of distracting to allow a group member access. Cache of the day! TFTC
What an interesting place! There were two extremely friendly camels grazing on the oval who came over to say "hello". Mr Oldfranko had to divert them by taking them for a walk around the oval, while Mrs Oldfranko ducked under the fence to grab the cache.
Thanks for a great caching experience.

What an interesting place. We were so glad we made the detour to find the cache. Historic place, plenty of old farm machinery, 2 camels grazing on the oval and a lovely clean BBQ area. Well worth a visit.

Out with Jeremiah Bullfrog for a loop of caching Port Brouhton to Port Pirie. Many years ago I came to this hall for wedding receptions and twenty first birthdays of relies who lived down the road. An interesting collection. Thanks
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log.

Thought this place was the Gem in the wilderness in a day of caching, these places remind me that I truly have seen very little of this land of golden plains.tftc
What a nice historical overview of a bygone era, country nice and green, hope the locals get follow up rains, TFTHSL
We seem to have trouble with the simple ones!! Do not walk around in bare feet!!! Muggle husband had japanese safety boots on and they were no good!! We love places like this, thanks for the history lesson! TFTC
Muggle tennis players & children there but not too close! Geograndie TTRPhil daughter found on the ground but we replaced it whereit was hinted. T pathtag L TB TFTC Dazza
It was hot, and the flies were being exceedingly sticky, so we didn't look around here as much as we would have liked, but we were impressed with what we saw! Found the cache on the ground in the open, so we hid it hopefully where it belongs. Added a pathtag.
Amazing location. Who would have thought that you would find all of this machinery way out here in the scrub. And so well looked after. Somebody has a lot love.
The cache here was perfect for AstroWes. He reminisced at the ringer washing machines and chip heaters. Thank God these things are not around anymore....
Then off down the road to find the old bombing quadrants where AstroWes worked from 1944-5. He was out there plotting the smoke/flower bombs for the pilots. We found the property and spoke to the owners but the quadrants made of rocks are not visible from the road (near Sandy Lane West). The property owners were suspicious of our loitering but were OK when we said what we were up to. Alas, not a spot for an AstroWes cache...... It wouldn't last.....
Took some coords and found the quadrant/circle structure nearby. Amazing.
Clear skies from TeamAstro. Thanx to Bowforce for leading us down here (well we were on a mission for AstroWes and this was a bonus). [^]
Truly a gem in an area that could easily be disregarded as uninteresting. Thankfully a quick easy find.
After leaving here, I continued west until the T junction. Heading north along Lower Broughton Road revealed a wealth of historical sites, even a bombing and gunnery range!
Thanks Bowforce for showing me such an interesting area. [^]

Wow, what an oasis of old treasures in the middle of nowhere. The geokids played on the oval while we located the cache. Would love to have seen a game of footy here in the old days. I reckon they would breed em tough out here. Thanks for organising the hide and bringing us here. TNLNSL
Cheers & TFTC!

I SWEAR I must have walked straight past this one Oh well... I had a great time looking over all the old machinery though, Bob's shed looks a LOT like one of our old shearing sheds growing up!
Bob just couldn't throw anything away could he!
Nice spot to stop, have a poke around ant some lunch.
Cheers, TFTC.

Wow!! What a blast from the past! As a young boy I used to attend various functions here; most notably the annual Strawberry Fete. I sometimes played music on my saxophone and clarinet at this and other events to entertain the crowds. I sometimes entered the kite flying competition, and I always enjoyed tucking into strawberries, cream and ice cream. I wonder if they still have those fetes here!!??

Found on a work trip to Pirie, grabbing a few caches before and after work while here. TFTC
Great spot never knew that this existed out here. I was worried when I got out the car I thought so many hiding spots this could take some time but after getting close I had it down to one object and after a short look around it I found it and even got the Bronze. TFTC Left Pathtag for next visitor.
A quick find on the way home froma disappointing morning of footy in Pirie. Didn't linger long as as a farmer's daughter and wife , have spent many years with similar outlooks!
