On my way to Street orienteering at Kensington and it was a nice afternoon for a stroll in the park.
The cache was a bit exposed so I re hid it a bit better.
Also noted the GZ was on the grass but a quick search in a 5m circle had the cache in hand.
I am slowly making my way through the series.

We found this one at 12:10pm as the 3rd of 11 on the Left and Centre City Tour with Team Rubik. Rubik had previously found this one but kindly stopped when passing to let me log too. We even got to join in a soccer game briefly. Thanks from D B-A.

This was the last on our day of caching. Picked up drive-thru on the way and enjoyed the water view while waiting for muggles to clear off. Amazing that I have walked all over (or around) this park and never realised there was a pond in the middle. Lovely to see the baby ducks so close.
TFTC SL.
note: Cache was actually easily visible in it's hiding spot, so please take care when hiding.

Found at 0950. On arrival to GZ, I could what lay in front of me, and fully expected the cache to be in a location other than where it was found. Fantastic area, and I'm surprised no one else has placed a cache here it's that nice.

Thanks.

Having done the first 3 FHC caches with Biggles Bear earlier in the day, we thought we'd know how it was hidden. After a short search, the cache was found, but not as we expected. Thanks for the cache.

Found this one at 14:20 while out on another one of those "shopping" trips. A very nice park and the glorious day certainly didn't detract from proceedings Smile.

No 8 of 18 on my Maribyrnong Trail cycling adventure. After replenishing my dead GPSr batteries I really enjoyed the cycle along the river with the wind pushing me along nicely! There were a couple of people near the GZ but I was able to retrieve and replace the cache unobserved at 13:30
My thanks to The Empire.

Found by Bob at 1055

I was hoping the weather would be a big improvement over the past week so I could enjoy a bit of caching out west today. It wasn't too bad, although I'm glad I wasn't one of the rowers working out at the nearby mini-regatta on the Maribyrnong River as the wind was a bit cold. Anyway, after some circuitous manoeuvering about the surrounding streets (courtesy of TomTom) I was able to park a bit away from the crowd and enjoy the rather nice garden features near GZ while making a quick find of the cache.

TNLN

Thanks The Empire

Found 12.45pm
Parked up near by and had lunch while watching the joggers struggling in the wind. Once at GZ this one was a quick and easy find and after 6 DNFs we were pleased to find one.

Thanks The Empire

After finding too many muggles at FHC #3 I was happy to find this park almost deserted. I passed a few dog walkers but the location of the cache meant I was completely out of view. I always wondered why there was no cache in this park, I've been past here a few times over the years and this was the first time I've entered. A great location and interesting history.

Thanks,

R - B

Found this cache while taking the little ones for a bike ride this morning, at 11.30am. This is a great location for a cache - unsure why we hadn't thought of it as we frequent this park regularly.
Thanks to The Empire.

This was cache # 16 of 28 for the day, in the company of Alansee & pprass. the cache was found at 1730. This was a great spot for a cache, I observed several water birds close to GZ. My thanks to The Empire for the cache.

An entry to this lovely park that I do not think I have used before. Once at gz a short search ensued before pprass pounced on the hide. Thanks the Empire.

Found at 5.25pm GAFF1 in the company of Alansee and ACTS2YG.

We were now driving in thick peak hour traffic and it took ages to get to this cache from no. 3, however on arrival we were delighted with the magnificent scene of the park and the racecourse across the river. Very impressive view. The cache was found relatively quickly which made up for the problem we encountered at No. 3.

Thanks The Empire for bringing us to this spot.

Tricky find and lots of muggles.
Two small girls standing at GZ unaware of of us retrieving cache and replacing it. Quite funny.

This is a park I haven't been to for a while. Nice spot down by the river. I have never seen a game played here, and I have ridden past a fair bit.

Wheeee! A very nice set of gardens. Seeing the band stand near GZ it brought back memories of playing with my band at that location in the screaming sun, some many, many suns ago.
With so many places to hide a micro, we lucked into it in the first place we checked.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks The Empire for both the cache and the memories of this area.

Found by Mary & David at 1635. Really enjoyed coming back to this park, as we had a cache close by until mid-2003. Our thanks to The Empire for this next instalment of FHC history.

For many years featherdown and I lived nearby in Flemington and we always walked around the river on this side so we were very familiar with the park the cache is hidden in.
Not many muggles about on a Monday afternoon either.
Thanks

2TF, 11:20am, 6/7/09. Missed the FTF by just over an hour!

I've driven by this park so many times, and never ventured into it. Quite a nice area! Found the cache quickly, and please to see a micro not quite as small as the first two caches in this series!

Many thanks for bringing me here, "The Empire"... gotta run off to #3 now to see if I can grab the FTF there!
