I read all the logs and still couldn't see anything likely at WP2. About time you fixed up those co-ordinates rubus!
Having been to the nearby CITO event Cathlud and I decided we would find a cache before we headed back to normality (for me it seems to be fighting children). The first WP was easily found, however the second one took a bit of searching and a clue taken from a previous log. The coords were a fair bit off for us. We had the final log signed and returned before my geohubby could ask where I'd been all morning. TFTC.
After finishing at a nearby CITO jeckleberry suggested that we had enough time to squeeze in just one cache before we were both due back home. The first WP was quickly located but the second one took us some time. Luckily jeckleberry read a previous log and she soon located the information that we needed. The cache was found, log signed and I put my muddy self back into jeckleberry's car for the trip home. TFTC.
Find number 5395 at 6:20:12 PM
Just squeezed this one in. Great clues and excellent final, a favorite for sure. Great cache.
Now it's time to head for home...
**Thanks for placing this cache rubus**

Well that took a lot of effort!!! Found the first WP after out waiting a road work crew! Then on to the second WP and a long search in the wrong place before stumbling across the info on the other side of the road! And so on to the final.......spread on both sides of the road but container still intact inside one part of the hide No wonder it hasn't been found for nearly a year! Thanks for the challenge!!
Our first multi and we were so excited, unfortunately we were unable to locate the second clue after about 40 minutes of searching, the area recently experienced a bit of flooding so maybe it was washed away? So unfortunately a dead end for us, maybe we were blind but I think this may need some maintenance.
We found it but it's all over the place we found the end and the other part as well sitting over the road from it :S very confused
Tftc found with geobrother lukie1987.
Thinking it's been tampered with as both were within metres from each other and it was found off chance. Either way great cache.

Found point A OK but no luck with B. Found what I thought the most likely location from the clue and at the coordinates but came up empty. Will have to try again as we often go to Hurstbridge
After wanting to pick this cache up last weekend only to find that my I had only just missed getting this in my PQ, we headed out today with the GPS all sorted.
We arrived at the starting point and quickly spotted something out of the ordinary. Probably the best part of my day was explaining to Darcy about this object, (don't want to give to much away).
We had our numbers from the starting point and headed for the second point which we found with ease using the directions. With the GPS pointing us in every direction due to the clouds and the trees, I resorted to reading some of the previous logs. As a previous finder did, we headed back to the road when the penny did drop.
So with all the numbers jotted down we headed for the GZ but even before we got there Mrs. Smepster spotted something that she thought was the cache from 40 meters out, and she was right.
Signed the log while Darcy was "calling mum in the car".
Thanks for the cache rubus, and the trip back in history. A well deserved favorite from us.

Pa_i_ge, friends and I finally got this one after a few back tracks, awkward encounters with property owners and PAPs.

Saw this back online yesterday and tonight I drove home this way to grab a smilie. Wp1 had me around poking in trees, avoiding holes until I looked over and saw the information , I must have walked straight past it. With A in hand I jumped back in the car and stopped at the quiet location near wp2. A 6-7 minute hunt and soon I had B, my gps kept jumping everywhere, so I walked to the road to get some clearance of the trees and Ding there it was. With the info I calculated GZ and another little drive, just along the road I came across a black wallaby with its Joey standing next to it suckling, in the middle of the road. They saw me and slowly scooted off into the bush, a sight would have never seen if it weren't for caching . Parked near gz and quickly found the well constructed cache, which took me a minute to find a way to open. Found the listed tb inside so I swapped it for one I had .
Thanks for keeping this going ,

Waypoint 2 has been replaced and there should not be too much difficulty in dialling up its location as the co-ordinates have been updated.
We have found a suitable replacement for waypoint 2 and with time permitting we plan to restore this cache in a fortnight.

Bad news...... The line is disconnected.
Start is just perfect.
Then the bananas got lost.
After a small detour the senses were on high alert and after turning the corner, and a bit of a look at some pictures........ There is was. No midpoint needed. The treasure was signed.
But that is not how it should be done.
The banana bus was facing south so off we went.
But here the line disconnected.
B2 spotted it from the road, on the road. Stopping to investigate and no information is available. Tried to ring the number but the handset was well......hands free. (Missing).
But it needs a little love.
The bananas were not put off though and gave it yet another favourite that it so richly deserves.
Fantastic work yet again Rubus. A themed treasure at its best.
Thank you.

Brilliant! Love all the hard work thats gone in here. Our first MC, and well worth the effort. Thanks for everything and cheers for the cache catch!
Well this was fun! Our first multicache and loved every minute of it. Lots of thought and creativity there which inspired us a lot as soon as will make our own cache.
The first cache made us wonder around for bit. We didnt where to look for but keep following your compass i would say hubby got very close to it but eventually i saw something...special
Second one was easier to find...well not if you walk the other direction like hubby did hehe...so again...another find for me. Glad to see it got attached to something otherwise i could have thought it was another dumped item which youll find a lot during chache hunts
Last one was prob the easiest one and im sure people living around that area are aware of the cache for the next person finding this cache....someone claimed this cache as its home...bring a torch to double check
Took a coin! Left something for in your bath tub
Thanks for the great caches and lovely tiki tour!

Found this afternoon, had been meaning to grab this one for a while and with a recent upsell by another local cacher, it was the final bit of motivation I needed to head out today for it, I was keen to see what all the fav point were about and I was not disappointed, very clever multi indeed and in most serene locations. tftc, swapped over geocoins, tftc a fav point allocated.
On a wet and very very windy night, I was out and about collecting caches with my good caching buddy Rebel Acts. While we had planned a route through Melbourne, our chase of two elusive trackables meant than we changed our plans half way through the run. A good number of caches were picked up, and this was one of them. I had this one solved ages ago and I finally got to find it. hanks for this cache.
Way cool set of waypoints. We got the first one completely wrong. It is NOT the green street sign. Dropped a trackable and took one to move on
Loved this one! The first waypoint had me scratching my head until I got out the car to look for the sign, very cool info point! The second and final waypoint equally cool! Thanks so much for your effort and enjoyed the drive around this lovely area. Master D took a tiny nemo fish and left a melanoma no more wrist band. TFTC
This was on our radar for today after seeing all the favourites it has. However, it was dark by the time we got to it, so we were thinking of leaving it for another day. As we drove past WP1 we decided to check it out to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out a good hide here spurred us on the WP2 and finally to GZ. A great multi, easy numbers and maths, non-confusing description, and to top it all off, very well constructed hides! Although watch the final one, Happy Pants had some trouble!!! Thanks for the cache.
A great cache to finish our afternoon cache run in an area we haven't been before. Found all wp's (and final cache) with the help of torch light as it was getting late?? or should I say dark, 6pm. Loved the concept and the effort gone into this one, worth a fave. Thanks rubus for the cache.
What a delight! We accidentally came across"B" and were thrilled as it was such a surprise. This was my first and my kids third. We are off to find A and C. Rubus you are a legend. Thanks
Yesterday, while hot on the trail of a couple of FTF's, I had driven right past this cache without stopping. I didn't expect to be back this way so soon but a couple of FTF opportunities brought me north instead of west for my afternoon caching. After bombing out in the race to be first, I kept coming north looking for other caches.
WP1 took me a little while to find because I had the wrong idea of what the Information Post might be. Once I had decided what side of the creek to look and then parked the car, it was only a short walk to discover a novel use for an old "Information System" device. It was then back to the car in search of WP2.
I drove past the turn-off to WP2 before I realised it. By the time I found somewhere to turn around, I found I was at the other end of the required road so I headed off to WP2 from the other direction (don't believe Google Maps which suggests you can't). I was rather amazed to think that the WP2 Information device could be left in the open like it is.
Anyway, with the required information it was back to the car and work out the final GZ. Once plugged into my GPSr, I realised it was back up the road the way I had come. I parked the car and started walking to GZ. As I approached, there it was, easily seen..."not hidden" in plain sight. While I was amazed with WP2 being left in the open, I was astounded by the final cache being so obvious but untouched. It just shows that providing the cache is not where muggles usually go, no one is likely to see unless they have come looking for it.
Thanks Rebus for an excellent Multi. Each stage has been brilliantly thought out and executed. It is not surprising that you have received 17 Favourites. You will get another one from me once I have found enough caches to give four away (there are 3 caches in a queue ahead of you...).

With her sister off to the beach for a few days with a friend, and having been dragged around to jobs all morning, short-stuff wants a playground to run around in. I'm after a cache or two, so let's see if we can both get what we want out of the rest of the day...
The little one was tired from a good play and a challenging walk to our previous find, so I hoped that the stages for this one wouldn't involve too much physical effort, and that proved to be the case. The second waypoint was on our way to the first, so I parked up and went looking while short-stuff waited in the nearby car, but called her over to see what I'd found. Nice work. She commented on the missing part.
The first set of coordinates were duly reached and I was able to make a quick find. Excellent camo work there, and an object I haven't seen the likes of since I left home... well in keeping with the theme.
With all I needed to calculate the final coordinates, the numbers went into the GPSr and we headed to the spot that looked promising. It involved a bit of a walk up a hill on public property, but was manageable for the little one, so off we tramped. Hmmm... there's nothing hidden here, though the view is worth the effort, and the little one loves the friendly horse. What's going on? Oh... some twit (that would be me) left the wrong digit before the decimal point on the southing coordinate an unintended consequence of making the visits bass-ackwards.
Back to the car, and a short drive later, and we followed the arrow to... ah, that solves the mystery of the missing piece. Short-stuff was quite impressed. As was I, so there's another well-earned fave point headed your way, rubus. The GPSr had the cache about thirteen metres north of the coordinates this afternoon.

The co-ordinates have been updated and so too has the formula in relation to the final cache.
Took the opportunity to find a few caches in the area today on a beautiful Summer's day.
Great themed cache, well done.
This multi had ended up jsut down the road to where my late uncle and aunt used to live may years back.
Brings back memories of the farm they used to live on and the large family get togethers that we had.
Of course back then geocaching was not even been thought of!!!

Another foot bleeding Geocaching adventure today on my Cache #100 for Xmas goal. This was no 2 for the day and boy was it good to mark this one off.
Ass it turns out, there was nothing wrong with my GPSr last time, there was something wrong with the operator's calculations as I was looking in completley the wrong place [B)]
This was a great cache and Rubus has put a lot of effort into creating it.
Cache is in excellent condition. TNLNSL Thanks Rubus, this one gets a fav

Arrrrgggghhhhh... DNF !! [:(!]
Found WP1 after wondering if I was supposed to be looking for something else. Found WP2 and an endless search on the wrong side of the road. Took to looking at other logs to work out what I was doing wrong. Made my calculations and came up with a GZ that seemed quite logical.
I spent AGES looking but just simply DNF
My GPSr had been giving me grief all morning and had me running around all over the place at the previous two caches before this one. Although I confident of my end GZ, I'm not so confident my GPSr was placing me anywhere near it today. I'll have to come back on a day with clearer skies.

Find # 1861
Well, it is a fine winters morning and again time for my caching partner in crime sedgwickDave and I to head out on another caching run, headed towards St Andrews, Hurstbridge and the Nutfield area. We usually cache on a Saturday, but decided to change it up a bit and do a Sunday this time.
We stopped at the most convenient spot to park and headed in to the first waypoint. We initially headed in the wrong direction, but soon adjusted and found the first part to give us the details we needed. We then headed to the second part which took us quite some time to find and we ended up searching on the wrong side of the road. Eventually we found it and then worked out the co ords for GZ. We then headed back to the car to drive the short distance to the cache. GZ was in a very bold position. Loved the container, yet another legendary rubus hide.
Thanks to rubus for the cache. TNLN.

Today was another epic cache run with best mate Ahomburg thru the Yea, St. Andrews and Hurstbridge regions.
This was one very cool and fun cache. Awesome construction and layout. Very nice work.[^] Took around 30mins to work thru all the stages. All stages found after a short search, with only number 2 being the trickiest to find. The final cache was fantastic. TFTC Rubus, a favorite.

FANTASTIC!!!! Great fun first ever multi completed loved every part of it. Great description, names and props well done!!!
Nice idea. It was my first multi-cache. Google map data is slightly off on the second waypoint so look around. You'll find it.
First to find this box this new year. Caching with Team HB. This was a very nicely implemented thingy. At Point A we tried to look for more difficult hideout. At Point B we spent a lot of time at the wrong side of the road due to map inaccuracy. Final point was nice and easy. Cheers!
WP1 caused a few issues as apart from obvious spider presence (and later a huntsman dropping out of the cover - ugh!) I couldn't extract the device so ended up managing to get it open enough to read the required information. WP2 less trouble although with the tree cover it took a while to locate the necessary object. GZ on the other hand was an easy grab (but more spider webs) and I logged it quickly. Thanks for a novel multi!
This was our first cache. A lot of fun. The sheeps(?) heads nailed to one of the gates we drove past were a little creepy, but we made it out alive!
yep have to agree, awesome, but we got a bit confused and went up a driveway near the second clue "trunk call" and saw a rather nifty device in the trunk of a tree that flashed at us when we broke the beam, was a driveway monitor of some sort, sorry but we saw this gizmmo from the road and assumed it was the trunk call clue spot. Continued on and found the right place, then onto the cache. Great hide and awesome multi again. Took wireless network pc card and left Saturday night caching pin badge and Jim Beam medalion. Did not see the tb there at all.
WOW! what a great multi, you must be congratulated on the time and effort that has gone into this Rubus

What a brilliant multi! Very well thought out and constructed from each of the waypoints to the hide at GZ. I enjoyed searching for the clues at each waypoint and quickly had the cache in hand at GZ. Thanks to Rubus for making an effort beyond the norm! TNLNSL, no sign of the TB in the cache.
Found at 1410. Well what an amazing journey this Multi took me on. Have only done 1 other multi and that was with someone else, so decided it was time to try one on my own. So glad I chose this one although it had been recommended to me at Rabbittos 50th by 80 degrees.
What a great event Rubus has put into this cache!! Really felt that I needed to call someone hehe.
Thanks for giving me the confidence to now look at more multi's.

06/02/2011 17:09 Found: #247 This was not our first attempt at this one. Back in December we used the wrong information post at WP1. Partly as there was a car parked at there and partly me just guessing wrong. Found WP2 back then no worries though. Of course couldn't locate GZ so put it on the back burner. Returning to this multi today I was worried as the recent torrential rains had flooded up very high but all was well! The information is a bit damp though. Off to GZ and another well thought out hide was waiting. Took TB. Excellent multi RUBUS. TFTC SL TB OUT: TB33VF8
1.15 for the final GZ. Well done rubus, with this very inventful recycled cache with vision and sound. Loved this cache as this area has some lovely memories of some great weekends away. We took time out to drive around the affected areas of the dreadful bush fires of some 13 months ago. They have done a wonderful job in the rebuilding, and vegetation has come back so quickly, it is such a lovley area to come to.
Very cheecky final placement
Thanks so much for bringing us here and taking the time with this cache.

During our day out caching with Indiana08 we came across this delightful multi, actually happened upon WP 2 first. Lots of smiles when we saw the well-designed, BOLD hides, built with so much loving attention. The information technology used brought back memories.
Thank you for this great experience and for showing us the beauty of the area!
Out of the 12 caches we found today, this would have to be our favourite.

We were not too sure what would find at the various WPs of this cache and as it turned out we would never have guessed either. With good coords WP1 was soon found (very nice cammo) and the numbers gained. we struggled a bit at WP2 with the GPSr pointing in lots of different directions due to the tree cover and we only found it once we put it down and just looked (more great cammo). We decided to walk to GZ and were amazed to see what was there, very clever. We soon found out how to get in and signed the log.

Many thanks Rubus we really appreciated the effort put into creating this cache.

Spent the day out with Crusty K9. We thoroughly enjoyed this one and appreciate the effort put in to set this up. Thanks Rubus.

A 3 day odyssey. Started on Sunday with a bike ride to the point on my gps. Only found a telex. Went to enter into log, to learn about multi-cache. Found part 2 no probs. Started working out locations. Walked to one about 500m away in the middle of someone property and another point couldn't get that close. Got dark. Today went back to point 2, Which numbers to use became really embarrissingly obvious. Short drive found it. Went on my way. But left me wondering why a different code name for multi-cache's hasn't been developed.

Found at 16:25. Last of 10 for the afternoon. Passed by WPT1 earlier in the day and thought about stopping, but, a combination of not being a huge fan of multis and the fact that a group of muggles seemed to be having their morning tea nearby, made it easy to drive by. However, after completing another of Rubus's multis "Chest Height" during the afternoon, and having enjoyed that so much - well, how could I pass up this one on the way home. And I was not disappointed.
Thanks for all the thought and effort that you have put into this one, Rubus. Well done.

Another superb Rubus Multi!!!!! A great amount of thought and effort in this cache as always. Lovely area and fantastically in such plain view..... but not Had to dodge one muggle when we parked to find WPT 2 but was not a problem. Took Stagetrees PT and left a Lollie Screen Cleaner. We should have our own PTs soon.
Thanks for the effort Rubus

I seems like ages since I've had a caching visit to the "outer north" - must be since HomerJ went quiet - but I've always had a liking for Rubus caches and was keen to check out the latest 6 that I haven't done. I must admit that I could've picked a better day to visit, as the temp was in the high 30s and it was blowing a very strong northerly and was ideal bushfire conditions. I was happy to see that a couple of CFA stations that I passed on the way still had their engines parked on the front aprons - ready to go but, fortunately, no need for them at that time. Anyway, it was a nice drive along familiar roads and I was soon at wp1 where I poked around for a few minutes before stumbling on the very amusing artifact with the partial GZ co-ords - then it was off to wp2 where, again, it took me a couple of minutes to locate the next link in the chain (my GPSr was tending to jump around a bit today - must be the weather!). With complete co-ords for GZ, it was just a short drive and I was soon admiring the very nicely presented cache container and making my entry.

The first of our NY retreat trip to Stratch Creek and surrounds...
We hadn't actually intended to take this route, but a landslide on the main road forced up this way, and when diverted, well, why not grab a cache or two...
This was an amusing one indeed... All clues found fairly easily, although the bits of car wreckage at one of the waypoints had us looking for a different kind of 'trunk' for a second.
Grabbed the TBs to move them on, and allowed or jumbo Greg TB a quick in and out visit...
TFTC Rubus. Much appreciated...

Managed to get out of the house today with the young daughter and thought "Hmmmmm.....where's a good cache to start the day...". Boy, I'm so glad I chose this one!
WP1 had me laughing. I remember, we had one of those! Ours was red. I used to play with it all the time.
WP2 had the daughter fascinated. It's not like you come across one of those in a setting like this all that often.
GZ. Well what can I say about the container? Except,..... a triumph! Loved the effort that went into it.
Took: Blue Leukemia Wrist Band TB, Team Gecko Top Of The World FTF TB, TFN's TFTC Geocoin and Mischief's Crew's Here Comes the Sun Geocoin.
Left: Balisaki's Nice meeting you! TB, Romeo TB, Kansas Sunshine 2008 GC, Sophie's Take a Kid Geocaching GC.
Replaced the zip-loc bag. It was looking a bit worn.
Cheers Rubus, thanks for getting the day off to a great start.

This was a highlight of my day's caching and a very well put together multi. I enjoyed collecting the clues at wpt 1 and 2 and the final was very fun indeed. I dropped off a couple of coins in the hope that it will entice a few more people out to this cache.

A great time was had on this one. WP1 succummed easily but WP2 kept itself out of my grasp for a while and even then I wasn't sure what I was to do so I returned to the car and had the ahha moment.

I enjoyed the clue delivery methods employed at Wpt1 and 2. And GZ itself was just a novel. Very enjoyable cache - thanks.
Managed to time it so we got maximally drenched in the rain at the WPs, while driving between WPs in the dry. Utterly saturated at GZ, even though it only took us about a minute to find and log it.

LinearZZ had given me a 'heads up' on this one, well in terms of how good it was at least, so, on this beautiful Saturday arvo, I thought I'd head off and have a look. The first WP presented itself straight away and the smile got started . WP2 took a while and the smile was just starting to wane a bit when I spotted the hide and the smile turned to a grin [^]. I headed off to GZ where I found the stash quite quickly at 15:35 and the grin turned to rapturous joy . What a beauty this one is and good fun at every stage .
TNLNSL. Thanks Rubus, very clever (and thanks to LZZ for the enticement to go and have a look for it ).

LZZ(f)'s knee is recovering well after a bit of arthroscopy, and she felt like some caching therapy, so we headed out on a wet, windy and coldest Sunday morning (as you do ). WP1 was found relatively quickly although we did have to look at things from the right perspective (directionally and thematic ). WP2 was a bit trickier not the least because the GPSr batteries were fading and refusing to track. A new supply worked wonders and the coords put together for the cache which was located round 12:05pm. Enough room for a major TB and GC trade, 3 out and 3 in. Thanks Rubus for a rainy hunt.
A great Multi with all points fitting the theme, I really enjoyed this one, i dropped of several trackables. Thanks Rubus for the cache.
Another good multi most enjoyed today. The effort put in to provide something different was really appreciated. All points were good and coordinates pretty good too. Thanks Rubus.
I found our 8th Rubus cache at 1:05pm as the 8th of 14 on our Outer Northern Tour with Pprass. Some nice work at WP1 and we did wander a while till we spotted the obvious hide. At WP2 though, we knew exactly what to expect but try as we did, we could not locate it. Pprass got a tip from the Solomons and it appears that both of our GPSrs had us about 12m away on the other side of the track. Back to the final hide and another nice bit of Rubus work. After Pprass got the jump on finds at the start, I was now 2 from 2. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
Really nicely designed multi.
Like Rabbitto, we found our GPS's a fair way out on WP2 (thanks for the hint). GZ was very nice though.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found at 1.05 pm GAFF5 in the company of Rabbitto. At the first WPT, we were on the wrong side of the creek to begin with and then we couldn't see the forest for the trees! Rabbitto finally realised that he was standing right next to the hint and we were then off to WPT2 - nice job on WPT1 btw.
At WPT2 we spent ages looking for the item - and we knew exactly what to look for as well - in an area that looked very improbable. We widened our search area, but after a few minutes a call was made to solomonfamily and it was realised that we were looking on the wrong side of the road to begin with - we found WPT2 about 13m from GZ.
The final was another great container and Rabbitto was quick to locate it after waiting for a few muggles to move on.
Thanks Rubus - another great multi.

King Snr and Jnr - We had done some other Rubus caches before and they have always been of great quality and this is no exception. We both enjoyed the cache and the WPs. At WP1 we were nearly going to call for directory assistance and at WP2 we thought someone had left the phone off the hook only to discover that we were to be reconnected at GZ. It was great too to meet the Drysies along the route and the enthusiastic geokids I hope you had fun too, it was good discussing some of the other local caches that we will return soon to find. Congratulations to boxerdog on the f2f - we were on route to their new cache at the time. Again Rubus very impressive, you set a high standard. *STF / TTF*

HELLO.....operator......would you please connect me to the Rubus Pickers.......What's that?......the line is busy?....Well, will have to lodge a telegram here!
Another outstanding multi, just like your other one! What can one say about WP1, WP2 and GZ while trying not to reveal any detail??....probably best just to say that we've done some 'quirky' caches....but these are the best by far!!! Very 'engaging!'
Just had a feeling there would be other geocachers out there trying to 'log this call' today! (Or were they Telecom linesmen??) Great to meet with the Solomonfamily, and have a good 'chinwag' regarding the world of caching.
Found at 12:21 (!)....Took little blue car and reindeer eraser. Left lots!!! Whoops....the red light is flashing, and I'm all out of coin, so will have to talk fast before I get cut out mid sentence.....(I sooooo hate that!)...keep up the good work Rubus....and many thanks for the ca......(beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep/beep)
