Indeed this one is gone, sad face. Will debate the future of this and take action soon.
I think this location is now compromised, so won't be putting a replacement back, something nasty may appear in it's place though, the Bad Man has been bottled up way too long.
After doing some of the Glenbrook Ramble Caches, we decided to head down and give this one a go.
Made it to the GZ fairly easily and commenced the search.
Had some trouble getting the GPZ to settle on this one, but an extensive 30 minute search still proved fruitless.
Even found the 'bubble-like-cave' to be empty which would have been a pretty good hiding place.

I'll wander down this way on Sat for a look. Sad face if a 50cal has gone missing.
Came in from the other way so it was going to be more of a challenge. Ok I got lost. Beautiful spot. Glad to know those releases are no longer made into the creek. But sadly all across the Sydney basin the damage is still being repaired from when they where. Makes up the reason for a lot of the work I do. Cleaned out some mcdonalds rubbish. They should ban that place.
Nice to see a great sized cache. Giving this a favourite. Thanks for the graze on the elbow. Tftc tnln.

It is looking ok for this area in relation to the fires, parks and reserves have been re-opened, game on til something changes.
As parks and reserves are now closed, regardless of where this is, disabled til conditions improve.
Got to the GZ and read the bubble hint. Looked up to see a bubble like crater in the rock, got up there to find nothing. I was certain it'd be there..
Weren't sure exactly how far down we had to go but once we had that sorted, a slightly dirty and spiderwebby ascent to GZ. Used my spider web removers (or divining sticks ) quite a bit. The geodad and I had fun wandering around all sorts of tracks this afternoon and this marked the first of our adventures.

P.S. Dutifully made a whole page log in the cache

I prepared a map this afternoon as I had never been to this area and there were tracks everywhere. Eventually made our way down and after getting the levels sorted. I cleared the spider webs and the cache was soon in hand. Off we went for the next one.

Took two looks to see the cache! Left tb. Thanks for bringing us to a nice spot. Creek not too stinky! TFTC.
This was the most challenging cache we have found so far (beginners). We came very close to giving up several times - but got there in the end and it was a very pretty spot to explore. TFTC!
Out for an explore with geoson. We thought that we would check in on this one while we were in the area. All good. TFTC.
With holyman54 spending the weekend, and after caching a couple on Friday evening, we planned to head out this way on saturday during the day for a few bush ones (and maybe some others). TFTC
With the wet weather of recent times getting to the GZ was very difficult. Found the cache, could see it just couldn't quite get to it. Found a nice big branch and was able to move it down, log visit and place it back. T-Bandages and 2 x TB L- Heart Buttons. TFTC
This was my third Blaxland area cache of the day -- and the most difficult -- although much, much easier than I expected.
I parked on Barnet Street instead of at the spot suggested by the CO on the GWH, because I was going to try to find 'Woylie's Wedge of Cheddar' at the same time. I was hoping that 'impossible terrain' wasn't going intervene between the two caches. And I found in fact that it's quite easy to walk -- or bush bash -- from one GZ to the other.
Anyhow, 'Stinky' GZ was reached quite quickly and easily. Expecting to have to 'scramble down' in some unknown but uncomfortable fashion, I was surprised to find that the opposite task was required. I would have achieved the scramble easily if everything had been dry, but the very wet conditions led me, in the end, to 'crawl on my belly like a reptile' to safely reach the clever hiding place.
This isn't a life-threatening cache extraction situation -- and remember that I'm nearly 63 years old -- but it will require a bit of agility to reach and then extract the box you want.
All achieved in the end, with no harm done except for a lot of mud all over my front. Well worth it for the lovely walk and the smilie!
Cache was in good shape, nice and dry. TNLNSL.
Many thanks to Team Webguy and junior.
(Can recommend this area for geo-family outings. There's really no stink at all around here, and the bush seems completely free of rubbish.)

Wow, nice hide. I looked at the hide location several times before realising it was there! It had been raining and was too hard for me to access, so I sent my younger and fitter wife to retrieve whilst I fed my daughter. She got the cache, but refused to put it back, so I had to do a bit of climbing to put it back. As per usual I had a little tumble, and ended up with a few grazes ... Doh!
Also found a blue spider (fake) and blue mushroom (real) nearby.
Took Lackey Geocoin and FrogBee TB, dropped Mon Caillou TB at its first cache.

Took us a while by ignoring the clues and bush bashing a while. Cool location!
Easy to see, not so easy to get to!
This was the 4th cache I did in the area and the most fun. Thanks Team Webguy.

Loved it so much I decided to come back to drop off a travel bug. Wonderful hide.
We went out for a quick one. But this one took us some time.
The parking spot was easily found.
The track down was easily found.
But we were a bit lost with the other waypoint. We hiked around the fence and back.
Finally found the waypoint but was this the cache location?
We went back to the cache location along the track, but found it to difficult to climb up the mountain.
Until we reread the description and immediately knew what to do with the waypoint.
At the cache location we were looking for app. 15 min. and were about to give up when my dad repeated the hint.
I saw it immediately.
So glad we did this one! A beautiful area and a very nice bushwalk.

a scramble all over GZ as instructed by the iPhone4 shed a kilo or two yesterday in the humidity but my stellar cross country work wasn't rewarded
A great hide. Was taking my brother Bruwster for an explore and had to watch with a smile as he scrambled about finding this cache. TFTC. Dropped off a travel bug from the U.S.
Visited again as the walk down here is beautiful. Left our brother-in-law Bruwster to guide as in as he had not been here before. great to do this one again. My Geobride wackydo dropped a trackable. TFTC
This was our first ever attempt to find a cache after being introduced to this sport about three years ago by a Glenbrook friend named Guy W....hmmmmmm.
Picked this one as it was only 400 metres from home, as the crow flies, so nothing too daunting for the three younger Shackles.
Found the cache after a 5-minute search from the level below GZ - spotted it when the GPS indicated I was 5 metres away. Not sure where the bum-sliding bit would have been, but maybe it has been burried under lots of leaves and sticks.
Very nice hiding spot - sent the oldest of the three junior Shackles up to retreive and re-hide the tin. Took a reindeer duck, left a plastic frog.

Drove along the GWH yesterday & noticed that a fence is being built across the suggested parking spot. Might make access to the track difficult at this point, but you can get on to the same track up closer to the RAAF base.
Attempting the four caches in this area, and this was 1st of 4. Parked at the soccer fields then walked in from the tracks above and got to GZ very soon. The GPS had me in the wrong place, but I had trusted it at first because the area looked inviting for a cache hide. Searched for a long while at found nothing. Trying some wild guesses and began searching around the large rocks and ledges above, no luck. I then had a rest, sat down for a bit still shaking my head in disbelief that I couldn't find this. While just looking about at the scenery, I spotted it above my head accidentally! Climbed up to "the bubble" grub the cache and sign the find, Took nothing, left a Twin Creeks golf ball. TFTC
Took my two eldest out for a walk this afternoon to find this one. We parked at the suggested location & found the track easily. Pleasant walk down the the creek & back up the GZ. We actually went to far past GZ & had to come back a little. Great hide, spotted finally by the 10 year old in the end. I rewarded him for that by sending him to collect the actual container!
Thanks for a great cache. We took the maths kit & left a reindeer duck & a couple of lizards.

Had searched for this one a couple of days ago without any luck but tried again today after carefully reading the instructions. Ended up being a very clever hide and I had probably been all around the cache several times without even realising. Great hide. TFTC.
GPS was next to useless down here (mobile phone based), and didn't follow instructions from one of the waypoints, so not sure which direction I was supposed to be walking following the instructions.
It was starting to get late and didn't want to walk back in the dark, so we left without a find. Would like to explore around here more some other time.

Excellent hide. Very sneaky
Bit of hike from the highway, but easy. Picked up Dakota TB. Left rubber heart.

That was a cool obstacle course made of rock. I was never fond of those horrible plastic playgrounds. Sorry I've logged this so late. Thanks for a great cache!
About 2 and a half months after geohubby finding it, the rest of the team went to find this one. A rather strenuous walk for me, (no kneecap) but I made it, with little NickoHeap's eagle eyes the winner yet again. Good spot TFTC
tftc my nephews first cache ,he loved the adventure climbing down and up the mountains
Had the most amazing walk to find this cache. Just beautiful. We came in from the other direction and had to backtrack, but it just added to the adventure....and yes I did get a dirty backside....but worth every second. TFTC.
Wow what a great walk this was. We live in Glenbrook and grew up here. Whilst I have been many places around the mountains I am astounded at what I am finding because of geocaching. I would never have walked down here if it wasn't for the foresight of Team Webguy in placing this cache here. Thanks for a great cache and a great walk.

Logging some old finds. Loved the hiding spot for this, a lot of fun. TFTC
Lovely day for a stroll so decide to visit this cache. The valley is quite pretty but there was a noisy jackhammer at the RAAF base and the highway seemed continuous noise too.

We were on the wrong walking track and found ourselves near a fenced quarry-like area. We decided to bush bash for 130 metres until we found the correct track once again. Once we located GZ, we had the cache in hand after about 5 minutes of searching. We would have liked to have found some of the other nearby caches, but we were running out of daylight so will have to return another day. TFTC. Left GC.
Looks like a second visit today for this cache, still did not see the fellow cacher.
This one took some getting to, I am not as fit or flexible as I used to be, still if I can get to it most people will be able to.
Loved the cache, great spot. Took DVD left Yowie and 2x Olympic pins.
Also left Yowie TB.

Today my dad said I have to catch up on all the logs I have missed. I've missed about 130 because I like caching more than I like writing the logs. So sorry this is just a standard comment. Thanks for hiding your cache for me to enjoy.
I left this cache last on my solo walking tour today which turned out to be the biggest challenge. My batteries died on my GPS just after View 3-30 and I discovered that my spares had not been charged up. So I made it close to the cache from what I remembered of the map and description, and then used what was left of my batteries to try to get to GZ. Unfortunately the buggers died just before I got to GZ and I had to do a guestimate as to where I had been heading. From there I had to remember what I could of the cache notes, and there was only one place in the general vicinity that would have me doing some of the things I thought I was supposed to be doing. And there the cache was!
Because I didn't follow the GPS until right near the end, I think I took the wrong way to the cache. I ended up skirting a security fence of the stinky place mentioned in the cache notes. I had looked at this on Google Earth and what is there now doesn't resemble the Google Earth image. There seems to be some construction going on or preparation to build something new. I wonder if anyone knows anything about this.
Anyway, I really enjoyed this cache. I thought the hide was excellent. Thanks

Bit like a construction site in the bush with the bulldozers nearby. Found easily, accessing it was fun...thanks.
As always, Team Webguy caches do not dissapoint! Thanks for showing us this great spot Webguy Jr!
The peace and serenity was al little bit broken by the bulldozers at the stink factory, but a top cache nonetheless.
A word of advice for future cachers: Bring the mozzie repellant!

Excellent place for a cache First find in NSW and looks like a good start TTBLGCSL Thank very much for a great cache
The last time I came down this lane I did a days work for my employer at the end. That was some time ago, so you can imagine my surprise today when I seen the place not only shut but almost all bulldozed away..... Alas there was still that smell.
Not having any cache notes I made hard work of this cache as the coords had me too low, but that in inself proved entertaining as I nearly got cleaned up a MTB who was on a mission.
Eventually the cache revealled itself and it was off to the other nearby cache.
Thanks Webby

A great cache. We have lived in the lower Blue Mountains for 30 years and disregarded this area as being a blight zone. It is good to see how it has improved. Thank you for leading us to the area. We took the bottle stoppers and left a set of measuring spoons.
Found this one on the way back from Woylie's Wedge of Cheddar. Stinky Creeky isn't too bad - quite a nice area actually apart from the leeches. I enjoyed the walk but caught a thunder storm on the walk back.

When you go looking for a Team Webguy cache, you know you're searching for quality.
The walk in was great - well defined tracks, great flora and the recent rain made it look even better. Only blight was the farm nearby - the one without animals.
After following the instructions to the letter, I found myself at the correct location. Hmmm - shades of Ninox with this one. No need to worry though as I negotiated the hazards and reached the prize. Signed log, retrieved the travel bug and made my way to the next one.
Seems the old man is rubbing off on his son. Top hide.

Found while I was still one half of Argeisia a Ca.. was told by the "higher authorities" I can still log these as my finds so TFTC!!! (not much else to write as I originally wrote half of Argeisias comments)
Missed the "track to the right", ended up circling around the stink factory (which did happen to smell quite whiffy today), down to the creek bed, then up underneath the gz!!! No-one around today, thank goodness as it must have sounded like a party!!! Once more, daughter to the rescue as mum worried about heights, although daughter thinks she did it the hard way... crawling along a ledge, anyone? Lots of wildlife, including the biggest echidna ever seen (which completely ignored us as we gawped), and a terrifying frill-necked lizard, who, surprised by daugher, puffed himself up then promptly jumped into the cache site!!! Took DooLittles Tasting Bug, Left Shelby Cobra TB. Fantastic Cache and find, makes our top 3!
Nice meandering walk on a friday afternoon. Found this one with little trouble at all. I've never ventured around this particular area but was plesently surprised. Thanks for showing us this one. Took 2 of 5 TB, Left Las Vegas chain
A nice bush walk even though was not prepared for one
Some how we miss the turn off and can in from above. A great spot wish I had more time to explore tftc.
Took two travellers will log them in later

Stinky by name but fortunately not stinky by nature, in either the olfactory sense (today at least) or in the cache ascetic sense. But then one would not expect the latter from this particular hider. Followed all the directions, finding ourselves wending along a surprisingly well built track down and along the creek ‘neath the eucalypt canopy. Being down in the small valley the highway noise rapidly muted and was replaced by the usual collection of early spring bird life. Saw an old workplace through the greenery before wending past the perfume factory (perchance a tempting place for a dip on a hot summer’s day? – or perchance not) to the point described where one is to leave the track.
Which we did and ‘ere long we were eyeing the likely cache hiding spot. Up went Lady Altaire to scramble along and retrieve the cache. A well stocked ammunition box was the reward and we tarried a little while in this pleasant spot doing the cache duties. There were more travellers in here than we’ve seen in some TB hotels and we left one TB & picked up the Irish coin – plenty of TB’s still here. Also did a few swaps. Nice cache!

Came in from the oval to the west, and followed some MTB tracks.
Dropped down a level, and there it was, now to get to it?....oh well, a scramble was in order, and it was soon mine.
The hint helped a lot, thanks Webby Jnr, a nice little hide. TNLNSL.
As an aside, on the way back from the Cheese Wedge cache, I heard some voices down at the cache site, it was the Canary team.
A conversation took place from up on high, as we traded cache hints on the local caches, this was to prove invaluable over the next few hours, thanks Canarys!

The afternoon was too good to waste, so it was out to walk some local bushland! Got to GZ and then had difficulty with the GPSr taking me off away from where I logically expected to hid the cache. Eventually went with the instincts and was rewarded soon enough (after a little scramble).

Parked at Knapsack Oval and walked in via one of the many MTB trails. Easy walk to GZ. Getting to the cache was a different story. In true Webguy style, it was indeed not going to be straight forward.
Still, the cache is protected from the average muggle. After a scramble I soon had the cache.
Didn't take anything as I no swaps with me. Did leave three TBs. Thanks for a good cache Webguy. I enjoyed checking out some of the trails. Will have to come back with the MTB. Nice one.

We entered from the GWH across the creek, found a track before long and followed it for a while down hill & across a very sturdy MTB bridge over the said creek, got to GZ and discovered a typical Webguy/Webguy Jnr hide, I was already in situ but my Geoson insisted on grabbing this one so we swapped spots and the log process was soon being filled out.
Plenty of great swaps inside but we have taken nothing, instead leaving a TB and picking a TB up.
No shame in coming second to Wingnut it's good to see he's getting back out in the field, Good work Webguy Jnr fortunately no stink today Thanks for the cache

When I saw this one pop up on a “nearby published caches†email, I had a look and discovered that it was placed by one of the “Team Webguy†clan. Knowing the usual standard of their caches, and with “Little Miss Wing Nut†keen to try for the first finders prize, we postponed a trip to mini-golf and headed for the mountains.
With GPSr in hand we left the designated parking waypoint following the instructions in the cache notes and quickly found ourselves at GZ. Little Miss stood nearby and watched as I hunted for the cache. After one false start I had the cache in hand, and the “First Finders†prize was still available! I loved the hiding spot – well done. I filled in the log as my daughter examined her prize with glee.
After completing the official caching duties we stopped for a look at the old “Stink Factory†before making our way back across the non-stinky creek towards the car.
Due to family commitments it has been a while since I have been able to go for a stroll through the bush, and I especially enjoyed this short but pleasant walk with my daughter through the cool green ferns.
Took mp3 player (First Finders Prize).
Left a DVD.
Thanks Webguy Jnr, for another great cache full of quality swaps. (Sadly there are not too many like this anymore.)
P.S.
“Little Miss Wing Nut†says thanks for the First Finders Prize. (It is her first mp3 player.)
