Thanks to dbrown64 for Which Came First? Banana, Banana, Banana. Trackable Visit x 2:TB7HH4V - GC Trackable Patch TBAA3BR - Runawayz Progress Flag Out and about with CuriousGeorgie22Was in the area this weekend for Baralaba Bash so feels like a great opportunity to chase some geocaches too. This was a chance to stretch the legs. Took me a moment, not to find. That was quick. I just needed to grow a bit. Thanks for bringing me here for the chance at a smiley face.
third stop on our trip to our next daygoal: gayndah.i took some photos, found the little box and it went on.now we are a bit wiser!tftcurmasuri from bremerhaven/germany
We took a lunch break here in this park, driving from Rocky to miles. The local council workers parked right behind the sign so it took awhile before these muggles left. Tftc
Found this geocache while enjoying a rest stop at the park. The coordinates were spot on, and the cache was in great condition. Signed the logbook. Thanks to the cache owner for the hide! Happy geocaching!
With dot558 on travelling to lightening Ridge stopped for coffee and lit up with some smilesThanks for the hint
bunadoorian and I enjoyed our visit to this area. I loved the story about Banana. TFTC and for bringing us here to Banana - dbrown64.
This cache I found myself after doing a lap around GZ. I found it in the obvious place. TFTC.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - D Brown 64 [^]
Camping nearby at Baralaba, Buttons and I decided to have some entertainment and do some caching around the Moura area. A good excuse to do Banana at the same time.
Today has had a great start so far today. Two caches found with no hiccups.
Now I'm standing in an open park with no tree cover and the GPS can't decide if I'm on top of the cache or 12 meters away. By the time I curse at it and close it Buttons has found the cache.
This is her one job in life. To find the caches while I stand looking at an electronic device.
The lid is no longer connected but still fits snugly enough to stay on.

Many thanks. Found without any difficulty on the way to Moura with Sea Reason. Thinks: Given that Banana is called Banana and since Minions are so fond of bananas . . .
On a slow, meandering trip out to Longreach for the QOGM 2023 event.
Cache found in the expected area, within a reasonable time, without difficulties.
Cache in good condition.

Driving from Bendigo in central Victoria to Rockhampton Qld in 2 days didn't leave much time to find caches. But a compromise was reached with my muggle friend so I could find atleast 1 cache per day to continue my ongoing streak. This cache has made 2 for today.
Today's cache makes day 79. A nice quick find and then off for a coffee from the servo, before continue on our journey.

Second of the trio of Banana caches for me today while CrobDes was still on the phone. A nice quick one at 12:10 and it was off to the cow.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks dbrown64.

I was heading towards Emerald, but was too tired to continue driving so spent the night at Moura. This morning, I decided to find a few caches before continuing on my way. I stopped at Banana for a bite to eat and to find a couple of caches. This one was quickly located and my name added to the log. TFTC
Lovely memorial park to fallen soldiers.... and Banana!
Travelling from Bogabilla to Gladstone as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip (North East Vic to Central Qld).
Thanks to all COs who have provided caches along the way.

Well who would have thunk! Now we know the real reason why Banana is called Banana Giving this a FP. Tftc
I had Banana as a t-bone last night at the pub
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

This is my find No. 8300 .....
We knew about the Banana confusion from previous visits here, but refreshing memories is always good.

Hooray! Another LGA ticked off the list.
Decided to give this route a bit of a gander … wasn’t my suggestion but the husband’s. I guess he thought that there wouldn’t be caches here.
Oh so naive….
Added a new log and ziplock bag.
Thank you dbrown64 for placing this cache for me to enjoy!
Currently on a family road trip and saw this one on the map. Was hidden well and we all enjoyed looking for it. TFTC
**This Cache:**
Well, I learnt that there was a town called "Banana" in Australia from this cache, and driving through of course! I had no idea before today! Thought this was pretty funny, and I was really intrigued and impressed by the large sign at GZ which gave me a full rundown of the town. Fantastic spot for a cache to show people this sign and bring them to this town!

**Today:**
Day 18 of my road trip, now heading back to Canberra from the Townsville Mega Event!
Today I drove between Mackay - Theodore, it rained the ENTIRE day, but I still cached my way along the route.
I actually ran into tronador from Sydney today, which was a pretty huge coincidence now that it was well after the mega and we were no longer in Townsville! We found each other at one Earthcache, and then both headed to the same Earthcache next, which was at a cave system! This was extremely lucky as neither of us would have explored this cave alone, but now that we had a friend we entered the cave and had a bit of a look around feeling safer with the situation!
Luckily the rain radar was completely clear from 6pm, so I was able to camp out in Theodore without getting wet! Wooooo! I delayed setting up my swag until it stopped completely, and it didn't rain again, gosh I was lucky! Had a pleasant night!
Thanks to all the CO's

We stopped in this park for lunch and, as we usually do, had a look to see if there were any caches nearby and this one was rather close. (We never knew before today that Banana was named after a bull. )
Anyway we found your cache. All good here.
Thank you.

After attending the Townsville MEGA Team Tour de Ville headed homeward via the inland. We stayed at Lake Mooraban last night and tonight it will be Gayndah. We needed some attributed to complete various Challenges. Soon had cache in hand and log signed before replacing as found. TFTC
After having a great time at the Townsville MEGA, Tour de Ville (TMZ59, Imbunda, Peppa and I) are on our homeward journey taking the inland route through Emerald and Gayndah.
Overnight stop at Lake Maraboon in Emerald and we are trying to stick to our "to do" list but we keep getting sidetracked. Another cache with an attribute or LGA needed for a challenge somewhere for someone. Or I like finding caches with town names in the title. I am going Bananas for bananas!! (this cache set me off on a singing spree of songs with the word "banana" in it - the front seats were not amused...)
Made a quick find, SL then returned as found.

Banana. Found this one on the way to Biloela. A quick find. Tour de Ville is on the penultimate day of an epic trip. Signed log and returned cache. TFTC.
Tour de Ville are on the way home from Townsville for the mega…
Having overnighted at Lake Maraboon our next stop is Gayndah… A list of target caches was created before we left Brisbane sometime in 1996… the list didn’t last long… despite the best intentions…
With 500+ k’s to be done, it means we have to try and stick to the list…
This cache wasn’t on the list… there might be another list that only the backseat are aware of… Imbunda spotted the cache before getting back into the Habanero Sport…
Log signed Tour de Ville - TIPP….

Thought the town would have been pushing the Banana angle to the max. Guess tourism isn't a big factor in a small town. Anyway, loved the reason behind the naming of Banana [^] (far better than explorers). TFTC dbrown64.
En route to Rockhampton and found this pretty low down. Didn't understand the idea of the description.
Easy find in banana! Was going to take Theodore to moura route but heavy rain overnight meant back roads r closed. More predicted, unsure how roads will cope if it falls.
On the way through, we spotted there was a cache here. Nice little town to stop. TFTC!
Heading south from Clermont today and picked up caches along the way.
Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches for me and others to enjoy.

On a motorhome trip & passing through Banana. Now we know how it got its name. Council workers are digging holes & planting bushes to beautify the park. TFTC
