As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Nothing taken, nothing left, signed the log. Dunno the circumstances but the gate was open this evening, we walked it in anyway. passed 3 joggers and a ute runin his pups on the way out.

Left the car at the side of road was way to boggy was a nice walk up to the cache. Just watch out for the bees
BEST ACCESS TO GET TO THE CACHE IS THROUGH GATE AT S 32 15.535 E 148 35.865. SHOULD BE OPENED FROM 7AM TO 8PM BUT IT WAS CLOSED FOR ME. TIME FOR SOME EXERCISE. NICE EASY WALK. CACHE WAS IN PLAIN VIEW. TRIED TO HIDE A BIT BETTER NOT MUCH ROOM BUT. TFTC
The vehicle access to this cache has been limited due to vehicle vandalism. The gate has been locked by council until further notice. The cache is still accessible by foot.
Ouch Ouch Ouch!!! I think the council needs to spray for thistles. Found the cache after a lovely long walk along the river. Most enjoyable, thanks.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 99 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, and got within 450 metres, northeast of the cache, but I could see muggles ahead of me working dogs. A quick zoomed look showed me barbed wire to the south and barbed wire to the west, so I decided to retreat and plan another line of attack for another day.
I wandered back on day 99 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, and after failing to find a way in from the southeast, returned to my original line of attack. This time there were no muggles, and I was able to close to 360 metres east of the cache, hard up against the two barbed wire fences. From there I could see some unfriendly ground between me and the cache, but I could also see what looked like a track heading right where I needed to be.
A short cross-country drive had me turning onto the track, a bit muddy to start, then a sharp corner with total bogholes and water, so I slipped the geoPajero into 4WD and plowed ahead. Turned out to be fairly solid ground anyway, but I left it in 4WD "just in case".
Very soon I was parking about 6 metres from GZ, picked a path around and through the massed prickles, thistles and bindies, and made an extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find. I've never seen such a wide variety of unfriendly plants, so I took a photo of the three main participants. Luckily I was wearing sock protectors and leather shoes, so I didn't suffer any harm, but a couple of months earlier I left the sock protectors off twice within a week, and ended up throwing away two pairs of almost new thick woolen socks.
My find No 2901, TNLNSL. Very interesting spot, but the river level is dropping rapidly. On the way back the decision to leave the geoPajero in 4WD paid off, turning the corner with the bogholes I felt the rear end slide out into a hole, but the front wheels just dragged me out of trouble effortlessly. Three cheers for MATT (Mitsubishi All Terrain Technology).

Once we got back we worked out where the road in was.

Well it did not take 6 years to find a way in but it did take a bit of retracing our tracks a few times. It was interesting to see when we finally did find the road the sign was only displayed in one direction.
The road was not the best but thanks to 4X4 it was not realy a problem. The cache is good and the hide is a smart one the only problem we had was cleaning the bindies off our shoes.

found at 11AM - as i approached there were 3 people wandering around the area - so i hid for a bit, then went on and found it. Nice walk for a Sunny Saturday morning, walked straight up to the cache. Thanks!
Nice drive to GZ. Still very muddy getting there tho. I have lived in this town for over 16years and have never had a reason to go along that track. Nice. TFTC.
The road in was no drier today. The cruiser had a definite mind of it's own, but we found the cache and returned safely.
Thanks Team Blue Dog

I was about to give up on this one when I wasnt prepared for a 500m walk, then as I started to drive away the entrance was exposed. After a slippery and boggy route I was soon at GZ. The cache was soon logged and was once again playing in the mud.
Thanks
Thanks
Would have been nice if the cache was bigger after the slippery track in after the rain last night. Easy find lots of muggles fishing today, now who's going to wash my car!

Easy drive for the Patrol but a young guy was bogged so drove his vehicle out for him. His biggest worry was what his mates would say if they found out a "sheila" had to help him out. TFTH
Found during a birthday party, I hope we have introduced a few new cacher's Hi Blue Dog!
I thought it was a cool place. Didn't know it was there. The cows looked cool eating their hay.

Found at 12:05 with frogdude - the eighth on our trip to Dubbo.
Frogdude and I dropped frogbabe off at the zoo, and continued on with our caching. Not being locals, we weren't too sure where would be best to leave the Stealth GeoBeast for this one. We ended up choosing the Sandy Beach Park, though walking along the track we realised we could have gotten much closer. Anyhoo, nice day for a stroll, but it's sad to see the Mighty Mac not looking so mighty (hopefully the recent rains will have fixed that since).
A fisher-muggle was reasonably closeby to GZ, but he wasn't interested. However, the cache's hiding place is infested with bees at the moment - that was more of a concern. Got in and out of there very quickly, happily stingfree.
Thanks Team Bluedog

Found today Australia Day 2010, thanks for the cache location, quite a few muggles around.

IMPRESSIVE TREES.
Wandered down a road nearby, saw the open gates, in I went. The track in would NOT have been accessible for my car a week ago with the mud and slush, but now, it was OK to drive along, though a few spots I went around.
A wonderful spot - WELL DONE.

What a lovely walk although geo-kids thought it was far to hot and would have preferred to be in the pool. Really enjoyed the birdlife of the area. Number-two-son-geo-kid proud to say he found this one but it's camouflage was missing. Re-camouflaged and went for a swim.
What an awesome cache! GeoDad found with no clues or cheating...but it did take a while. He then played cold/warm/hot with us till we got it. Fantastic camouflage. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 0745. An early start for us and we were pleased to have another river cache with magnificent trees. TomTom didn't know exactly where to gain access, but put us close enough to find it quite quickly. At GZ, we found the container on the ground, so we replaced it where it some remaining camo suggested was the proper place. Our thanks to Team Bluedog - great to meet you and the girls last night.
Found it,
Nice find in the dark, will have to go back in the daylight to see that I am not too weiry

Found at 4.00pm GAFF2. We were so excited that we found a track that went straight to the cache instead of the anticipated 1.2km walk from the car park. Rabbitto, Ian&Penny and Squalid would be proud of us!
This location is sensational - the trees are so majestic and the river with a few muggles fishing is so picturesque.
Thanks Team Bluedog.

Found after a mornings work on the other side of the river about 700m from GZ. I was a bit worried about the wasps and bees hanging around but there were none in the same hole as the cache. Another geat discovery of what Dubbo has to offer thanks to geocaching. I assume if you have a low key camping set-up then you could theoretically get locked in and spend the night here? Thanks Team Bluedog.
Nearly lost my car in some of the potholes on the way to the cache but managed to find cache without incident! Drove on to see what was there, was worth it.

What a bonus......first to find! Thanks Blue Dog for yet another great cache. We have lived in Dubbo for almost 44 years and that is the first time we have been down there. We took Geo Drago with us, so he has beaten his Dad!
