So macgyver was a real tv character and not just a Simpsons character. Cache was an easy find. Stood out a bit. Tftc tnln

27-Jul-12
We never actually found the initials 'GZ' but we found the cache. It took a little while to work out the contraption (while standing in the rain) but we had it eventually great cache, very clever!!

18-Jul-12
OH Yeah, MacGyver...I remember him. Even the kids form the next generation got into this one. Ingenious hide. Thanks for the challenge to young and older.

18-Jul-12
Dropped off geo coin

08-Jul-12
A great fun cache, we all loved this and fought over who was going to catch the cache. Had to use our own tools in our geotool box.

08-Jul-12
Magnet needs replacing as eye let hook has come loose and peg broken

02-Jul-12
This one took about half an hour from the find of the initials to the logging but 25 minutes of that was spent talking to a local. Think we would still have been there if he hadn't had to get home for lunch!! Thanks, a clever cache.

17-Jun-12
Our new favourite! Well done

19-Apr-12
To many muggles!!!

13-Apr-12
Yay! What a clever cache and glad we had the two heads and two sets of eyes to look for this one. Truly a joint effort. Thanks Caching Camerons for a great cache.

09-Apr-12
We could not pass up this challenge! After a short search, some of the equipment was in hand and challenge located. Extra equipment was needed, including some bug spray for the ants who have taken up residence next to the tin. Hopefully a little DEET spray will protect it for awhile, MacGyver would be proud! TFTC

04-Mar-12
I'm way too little to understand any of this MacGyver-foolery that everyone keeps going on about. Instead, I enjoyed this cache because I got to do my favourite thing - which is run around, be naughty, find rocks and throw them into the water regardless of the danger involved! Smile. Eventually I ended up back in my car seat while Mummy and Daddy sorted out how be all MacGyvery and stuff. TFTC.

04-Mar-12
What a great original idea! Had to halt our MacGyvering progress several times due to the appearance of muggles, although admittedly we did get a laugh out of one group of three "hotted-up" (if you could call it that) cars all lining up for mobile phone-camera photos. Anyway, squinted and found the 'GZ', found the tools and figured it out from the relative safety of our own car before successfully making a retrieval and putting it back. A favourite from us. TFTC.

18-Jan-12
MacGyver didn't do so well with this one to begin with...as he couldn't find his pockets...but never one to give up on a challenge he resorted to looking in his bag and found the necessary items to solve the problem. The log was soon located and the day was saved!

Great cache! Thank you.

ITEM NEEDS FIX

03-Jan-12
A clever cache... the two engineers with us particularly enjoyed this one.

We agree with gone-crazy - one of the items is in desperate need of maintenance... .... we had to use our MacGyver-ish skills to solve the problem in the short term.

Found while out treasure hunting with the Dumb Bunnies.

21-Nov-11
Cool cache cuz. TFTC

27-Oct-11
Another excellent cache. We carry with us just the tools required for the job so it was a very quick retrieval for us and a favorites vote from us too.

Just a quick note. One of the Vital componants may need fixing before anyone else can get it.

What a great cache. This one gets a favorite point. I thought about a cache similar to this but I soon found out it was already made. Anyway we all enjoy watching the MacGyver shows. Smile

Spent the morning at the Gap with a brother Boomer from Holland and decided that a puzzle cache would finish the morning off nicely. He is new to the Geocaching concept and after finding the traditional caches at the Gap this one was a great way to finish. After locating GZ and doing the 'MacGyver' thing, we retrieved the cache, cured the dreaded halitosis and went to get the girls. A great fun cache and will be a favourite of mine. Thanks Caching Camerons.

25-Sep-11
Normally when we are travelling we are very reluctant to tackle ? caches but Lady Avago couldn't resist this one. Once we had located the correct GZ the problem became obvious so the next step was to find the tool box and select the appropriate extraction device. This done we soon had the log in hand and mission complete.
Excellent hide, thank you Caching Camerons

03-Sep-11
fantastic - and my first cache!

03-Sep-11
Return visit with three young geocaching newbies. Everything is in order and looks good - one of our all time favourite caches, and a very fun challenge!

05-Aug-11
Great cache!! A+ going on the faves list!!

04-Jul-11
No muggles around as it was going dark on an overcast day. Guessed immediately and correctly where the cache would be but took a few minutes to find Macgyver's "pocket" contents. Once in hand and with a bit of fiddling we were soon able to relieve Macgyver's haliotosis. Thanks Caching Camerons for a really enjoyable cache....extremely well thought out and executed. Would have loved to do this one with our daughter who is a real Macgyver officianado but unfortunately she lives in Adelaide. As soon as we earn another favourite point we will be passing it on to this cache.Cheers. [^]

05-Jun-11
There was a muggle family right near GZ when I arrived so I finished my lunch and had a conversation with the grandfather before they finally finished packing up and left.

I soon worked out what I had to do and got the log signed just before another muggle family arrived and started unpacking.

Thanks for the cache.

22-May-11
all the family enjoyed this 1

18-Apr-11
We weren't going to do this cache. We don't do many puzzle caches. But we got an email from a friend who said you have to do The MacGyver cache so here we found ourselves. We found it but after taking ages to find GZ. No5 of 23 today. TFTC Caching Camerons

Loved this cache, it was really well set out, planned, and executed. Great idea. Great views. Thanks very much. Found as part of the ABCD challenge.

05-Mar-11
What a great idea, we are loving these very creative caches down in the great southern, We are staying in Goode Beach just down the road, caching the last few days around Albany warming up for the Big 10th Anniversary tomorrow. Might see you there.

03-Mar-11
Found the kit of random items and quickly figured out what items to use but just could not assemble said items. It was at this stage I was sprung by a couple, so I explained geocaching and showed them what I was doing they then continued on their way leaving me to assemble the items. I eventually got the fingers to do the right thing and had the cache in hand, signed the log and returned all items. Thanks for the most enjoyable puzzle.

WOW!! This was so much fun.. we would love to see more Mac Caches (gosh we did love watching his adventures on TV).. We are still talking about how cool this was - each of us got to use their own special skill. TFTH

28-Dec-10
Thank goodness geo-hubby was with me for this one. Highly enjoyable challenge. I kept watch on the fisher-muggles while geo-dad coached the geo-kids to be geo-MacGyvers. Two thumbs up from the Skulduggery clan.

15-Dec-10
Well we found GZ quickly but had no idea how to access the cache. When I finally managed to get to it, the toold required were soon evident but I decided to use something out of my cache bag instead. Sorry [:S]

Nevertheless, we were able to retrieve the cache, sign the log, and replace everything before anybody turned up

Cheers Cool

This was great fun!!! Had to dodge some fishuggles though. Thanks so much for this one!!!!!

16-Nov-10
We had to wait for a couple of fisher muggles to pull their boat out of the water before we could get stuck into it. We really enjoyed this cache. SL Thanks Caching Camerons.

06-Nov-10
A very inventive cache! We were initially mystified about where to find "G.Z.", but suddenly "Eureka", there it was! But how possibly could there be a cache there??? We puzzled over it a little longer, and finally we understood what we had to do, and there was the cache staring at us. But how could we retrieve it? We managed to find the emergency kit, put on our creative hats, and after one or two failed brainwaves, a stroke of genius hit us, and we were able to get the cache. The junior Canucks just LOVED this one, and it deserves a solid round of applause indeed! Top cache, one of the best in Albany, I'm adding it to my bookmark list of "Top Camo Caches in the Albany W.A. area"

23-Oct-10
The third find for ClanWombat.... great puzzle, kids loved it. (Had to explain who "MacGyver" was though..)

20-Oct-10
Loved it...very clever.... managed to do the whole thing in about 5 minutes as it was raining!! I look forward to doing more of yours! thank you

09-May-10
Having 'done' this one in a sort of virtual reality by correspondence, and having just enough free time, I came to do it in real life. And it was just as I imagined. Quickly assembled the accessing instrument and secured the cache in true 'Gyver style. Signed log. No swaps.

Oh-oh! FX: Sound of vehicle coming! GRAMS: Dramatic music as our hero rapidly disassembles gear. Big Close-Up of sweat beading on hero's forehead. Hold shot for 3 sec. Cutaway to vehicle appearing over rise, 4 sec.BCU of hands fumbling for 2 sec, quick cut to Head Shot of hero glancing nervously over shoulder . Cut back to vehicle still coming over rise,3 sec. CU running feet, 2 sec. Back to vehicle, still coming over rise, 2 sec. BCU of cache being rapidly inserted into hide, 1 sec. Vehicle is now almost fully in sight! Music reaches frenetic climax!

Pull back to show hero casually sauntering back to his car. Muggle vehicle swings into car park. Hero waves in friendly manner. Muggle glares suspiciously. Fade to Black.
cheers, roymerc

29-Apr-10
Excellent hide! Well done. Even our resident non geocaching teenage daughter enjoyed this one. Nice trick. Might adopt some of these ideas for a cache when we get back to QLD. Great spot. Enjoyed Whale World & Frenchman's Bay too.

04-Feb-10
We had great fun with this one, Our combined efforts made this one an easy find. Luckily Tristans keen eyes spotted GZ and from then it was on for young and old. Didn't leave any red herrings. SL. Thanks for a fun cache , hope there are more like it.

31-Jan-10
We've had this one on our list of caches for a while.
Eventually got here,.. was not disappointed we had fun solving the puzzle, retrieving the goods and evading mugglers..MacGyver would of been proud of us.
My only disappointment was that I didn't get to use my multi tooled pocket knife that I brought along with me like MacGyver would have..Great Cache:

17-Jan-10
loved this cache, we managed to find all parts quickly and figure out the tools which were needed. a couple of muggles came and went, we waited until they were gone and retreived the cache Smile thanks

26-Dec-09
Finally we got to do the famous McGyver cache. Mac was faced with a great challenge here- but with the prospect of a kiss from the "beautiful damsel" I knew I had to rise to the occasion. It had me scratching my head temporary but, lucky for her, camerons wa solved it.Not a bad cache young caching camerons, you'll go far.

26-Dec-09
Found in the company of the cache owner and family(without any help)
Very tricky and took a while to locate. Just starting out in this sport and getting some tips fromj the experts.

08-Dec-09
Thanks for putting up this nice cache, managed it all by ourselves, being introduced to this game.

06-Dec-09
took a bit to work out, tricky, very cleverly done

06-Dec-09
#6 of 22. We loved this one and it was the beautiful woman that helped the man out with this one - our only disappointment was there was no chewing gum involved!

08-Nov-09
This was definitely a cache with a twist. We had fun and enjoyed the beautiful scenery while we were sorting things out. We waited for a few muggles to leave and then it was not long before we had this creative cache in hand. Thanks Caching Camerons

09-Oct-09
Fantastic - really enjoyed this one! Lucky we had the "MacGyver Men" along coz the "beautiful women" were next to useless..... Thanks for this cache - looking forward to more.

13-Sep-09
How good was this. An exellent concept. You just have to do another one. Well done Camerons

07-Sep-09
Nice one!

22-Aug-09
What a beauty. Loved every bit of it, including the streetname, Mr C Smile
Had a muggle friend from Germany along for the famous coast sight seeing, but think the caching got as much attention as the sights Smile
Took the geocoin for a ride and a new stop around town.

18-Aug-09
Found it together with walleby. It was quite a challenge, but for sure the highlight of the day.

Made a few adjustments, should be good to go!

11-Aug-09
Found previously as one of the “Rainbow Coasters”.

11-Aug-09
Having some teething troubles that need ironing out, will have mac back as soon as possible!

11-Aug-09
A devious cache that had the Coasters scratching their collective heads and looking in all directions for the GZ clue! Shame the male Coaster didn’t have the reading glasses on; we would have nailed it on a lot easier. Just when we were about to give up on GZ, who should turn up to do a maintenance check, the man himself who gave us the slightest of clues and away we headed to work out the secret to retrieving the cache.

Very clever and one to appreciate! MacGyver would have been impressed!!!

08-Aug-09
From the description of this cache we decided to do it with howdyaB who have younguns in their team. It proved to be a fun cache. No muggles in sight on a picturesque overcast afternoon - easy find. Showed howdyaB Misery beach while we were out this way.
Thanks Caching Camerons

08-Aug-09
Nice one, one of our team members has not shown much interest in geocaching in the past, she enjoyed this one.
All our young team members love going out with wefoundit2, so thanks for letting us tag along.

08-Aug-09
Another beauty from the CC's. Nice little spot and very quiet on this day which was about a week ago. Thought about the famous roll after finding the very well thought out cache but the sand was way too wet from all the rain. Great job guys thank you.

02-Aug-09
THE MAC IS BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks T&C for the maintenance info. We have made the needed repairs.

02-Aug-09
Well we found the GZ and Mac's container fairly quickly but then got held up by a persistent boating muggle (is that a buggle?) Probably wondering whether to report our "suspicious activity" to the coastguard. Anyway a quick visit to another cache at nearby Stony Hill and we were rewarded on our return by the sight of a whale frolicking offshore. A clever little cache.

01-Aug-09
Beautiful calm day. No better time than to find a cache. Saw Bottsbunch on their way back to town on our way out to the cache. What a beauty. GZ took some finding after easily locating Mac's pocket. The pockets no use without GZ. Finally the jackpot only to sit down again to work out the best line of attack. Several versions later easy peasy. What a treat. Thanks for the fun of working out how to retrieve the mints tin. Even a TB. Glad there were no muggles about as the spot is popular on good fishing days. Thanks for a clever cache. Hope there are more in the future. TFTH

01-Aug-09
Took cupcake out so she could see this little beauty but there are some problems which need sorting. Can everyone hold off for a while while the CC's perform maintenance.

01-Aug-09
hahahahahahaha - awesome cache, great fun and the geokids loved solving the puzzle. unfortunately had to explain who macgyver was and why he was so famous and i still don't think they get it.

anyways, thanx again for your awesome cache making prowess.

28-Jul-09
This one leapt to the top of our to-do list when it remained unsolved after a couple of days. With cupcake away in Perth it fell to tango and Ralph to mount an attack, We located GZ pretty quickly though the "GZ" was a bit elusive. When a boy-look didn't turn the grey container up within 2 seconds Ralph took it onto himself to try digging it out then stinking it out. One doggy-do bag later, tango did a proper look and found the grey container.

A great little exercise in retrieval; kids will love this one. A satisfyingly empty log book gave us the FTF.

Afterwards the boys mucked around on the rocks and found what is either a small surfboard or a cuttlefish fit for a budgie the size of a wedge tailed eagle. A great spot!!!!! Thanks Caching Camerons - we noticed the label said MacGuyver No 1 - we hope there are plenty more in the series.
