A quick stop and find here today on my way past, cache is all good.Today with an event in the hills, I headed out for a half days walking plus a few others yet to be found in the area. With the weather being mild for a summers day it made for a great day out. Thanks for the cache

04-Jun-23
Mr Tardis was out for an adventure motorbike ride through the back roads and around the hills and Cambrai areas on a sunny Saturday.

The cache had gone awol again, so I replaced it with an eclipse. There is evidence of the local kids playing around GZ, so that is probably what has happened to the last few cache containers. We'll see how long this one will last.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache firesafe.

18-Jun-22
Out with iluvtrekking grabbing a few hides around Renmark/Berri. Lovely morning with a bright blue sky - perfect for caching. Just a short walk from the caravan walk. Thanks Firesafe Rally Team

18-Jun-22
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We are staying at Loxton for a few days picking up caches in the area. Stunning river. Thanks for the cache Firesafe Rally Team.

21-Apr-22
Down caching around Mt Torrens and surrounding areas today. An early shower of rain turned into a great day for caching. This cache is one that was found today.

A nice quick find here once at GZ. Interesting spot up here, could nearly see the river today. Cheers for bringing us here.

Find #4092 on 20 Apr 2022.
TFTC firesafe!

06-Feb-22
From time goes by, this one was only 3.7km. Turned out a whole lot more, what with the zig zag required and some interesting roads. I arrived at GZ and admired the view. I looked for the cache but it was missing from the very obvious spot that it should have been. I put out another and covered it well. Thanks for the cache Firesafe, and thanks for bringing me here. Find #6223

06-Feb-22
Thanks to Oz Grumpy for the cache maintenance

09-Aug-20
This is not too far from home, and today is the day. Not easy to access this one - I came in off Terlinga on R Hicks, and exited via McVitties, and I’d say they are the best options for a 2WD.

Got to GZ and the cache was on the ground. Is it animals doing this? I doubt there would be any muggles here. Log was dry, I’ve added a ziplock for the rain that’s coming this week, and returned the cache to the spot that matches the hint - check the ground if it’s not where it should be!

Not the best day for distant views today, but you can certainly see the plains if not the Murray itself.

Thanks for bringing me here Firesafe!

25-Jul-20
Thanks to Cherryrose for replacing the cache container Smile

25-Jul-20
Found the spot but NO Cache in sight so replaced with a Mint Tin. Beautiful day. & beautiful views. Found with Beary Organised & 3 Grandkids. TFTC TNLNSL

25-Jul-20
Replaced this cache with CherryRose. Hopefully the CO doesn’t mind. The cache had not been there since Feb 2019. Quite an obvious spot so it’s now back for others to enjoy. TFTC TNLNSL Beautiful views. Thanks for bringing us here.

01-Mar-20
We widened the search area but still couldn't find it. We'll look again if the maintenance gets done.

23-Jul-19
Think it’s gone

21-Jul-19
Doing the spot but couldn’t find anything ? If it is still there once again new at this

07-Feb-19
The coordinates took straight towards what looked like a likely spot, however no cache was found. Didn't have time for an extended search. Has been a while since last find so may benefit from a CO check up.

05-Nov-17
Having almost cleared my 24K circle of traditionals it was time to expand the circle to 42K and today I headed east for this and a few others.
Cache was in need of a new log and zip bag, pity I'd run out.
Thanks for the cache firesafe

22-Oct-16
Buggered if I could see the Murray from here, but that didn't bother Mrs J, as the local cows were enough to keep her entertained for the duration of our visit.

The cache was found quickly, and is in fairly good condition despite the "container".

Thanks firesafe.

24-Jun-16
Out & about with clare007 & my dog, Mandy.
It had been raining on & off this afternoon...now out in the country in the dark of night the stars in the sky shone brilliantly...a wedge of swans fly over head as we could hear them calling...although we couldn't use our sense of sight tonight to view the wonderful views we could certainly hear & see the sounds & sights of the night...TFTC firesafe.

24-Jun-16
Out & about with hevwalker for the day caching around Murray Bridge, Mt Torrens, Palmer & Tungkilo.
It was quite dark when we arrived near gz, armed with torches we made a quick find.
The sky put on quite a show with an array of stars and some swans made a brief appearance by sound.
Thanks for the cache firesafe Smile

05-May-12
Found this on the road..... The actual surface of the road. Might have been muggled by wildlife? Replaced it where we think it came from.

10-Apr-11
Showers today so we did not get a view of the river. We did see the rock. Nice rock.

10-Apr-11
There weather was a bit murky. To be honest it was crap. We could see the road and that was about it. Why did we come when it was a view tyoe of cache? Well you have to ask. We were "passing". Yep, clear skies please.

13-Feb-11
Lovely views from this spot. Wind was blowing quite strongly. Narrow road so be sure to keep left to avoid any oncoming traffic.

12-Feb-11

30-Oct-10
An enjoyable drive out here, even though the weather was a bit rough today Razz.
Surprised the cache wasn't closer to the obvious structure and sign, but it was quickly found.
A very limited view today.
TNLNSL.
Thanks Firesafe.

06-Aug-10
found at 7.50 one of 32 for the day! tftc

05-Aug-10
Tried your suggestion and squinted but I don't think I could see the Murray although on a nice clear day I'm sure you could. I needed some high powered glasses. Found log OK. Logbook totally waterlogged so dried it out using car heater. Replaced log in a zip lock bag so hopefully it will stay dry. Nice drive along the back roads to GZ. TFTC

18-Jul-10
The view was a bit foggy today, just signed as the rain started. Tftcsl

26-Apr-10
Really must take those CFS map books with us more often! Not that we got lost or anything, we just couldn't find the right road! Made it in the end. TFTC

26-Apr-10
Well that was an interesting journey to get to GZ!

We got to 1km from GZ, but were halted by a locked gate, which was in the middle of a paddock, which was supposed to have a road through it. Turns out the road didn't exist, despite showing on 3 different sets of maps. Next time we will bring the CFS maps I think.

After back tracking, and going back through Birdwood, we attacked from the west, this time with more luck. A quick summer track later, and we found ourselves at GZ. A nice view, you could see for miles.

We made much quicker work of getting back out, and were on our way again.

Interesting spot, and well worth the visit.

Clever hide. Look for the rock, but remember; size isn't important!

03-Aug-09
The view was very nice but I suspect the Murray bit is a slight exageration as well!
Actually the location struck me as very Stonehengeish [^]
Cheers Firesafe & team, TFTH.
