Just got in in time before archival. It was most interesting to learn about the secret - hadn't come across something like that before. We were a bit concerned, though, at access being barred by a padlocked gate - so weren't really sure we should be there anyway. TFTC
After visiting mount Maunganamu we made a quick stop here and took a photo of the not so small power plant. Thanks.

Found with great friends after a fabulous day on plastic bags sliding down mountain, fun area, tftc, moving taken, brooch in.
Another one of those spots that you would normally whiz past. Thanks for the reason to stop !
After getting absolutely soaked in Taupo earlier in the day while the young one played at a football tournament, popped down in the afternoon to Turangi for some 'supplies' for the evening. Just a bit further up the road and this one was soon located. No horses today and it started drizzling (again!!) as the log was being signed. sigh! getting used to being wet. TFTC

Very friendly horses here who wanted to get a very close look at what I was up to. Including what was in the cache. TFTC
Went on our biggest cache hunt yet today with my 4-year old son. Looked for 11 and found all of them this was the first of the day. Left a USA penny.
Well was looking for a spot to hide a cache thought this would be a great spot oops it was there was one already there. LOL I was here with no net access !!! Left Aussie flag tatoo and geocoin TFTH
Wow, who'd have thought the bridge was built to do what it does? Never would have found out if the cache wasn't there thanks! Also took the travel bug while we were there.
I thought I may as well look for a cache or two while Netty visited the hot pools. I parked considerably more than 40 metres away so I got my exercise fix with a decent walk. I didn't take long to find the cache which is nicely hidden.
Our first cache for the day as we thought it would be a little hard to get at night. No problems at GZ. TFTC!
Found at 4/30 pm, lots of young muggles around so had to bypass it the 1st time round, came back later, but 2 more car loads arrived before I could replace it, so had to wait again. (The joys of caching on the Easter week end.) TFTC from MADToo
Down to the mountains for the weekend with NovaLightning. Nice little stop and view of the bridge after mornings adventures so far, TFTC +TB
Thanks for making us stop to take a good look here! Took TB and left USAP sticker.
Ha ha ha did we have some fun with this one. Turns out Geomum is scared of horses and there were 2 very inquisitive horses interested in caching it turns out.
Easy find and right next to a busy road so we left the 4 wheel drive travel bug at this one. Nice hide and enjoyed this cache.

Quick find with NZLats. Been over this bridge hundreds of times + never noticed it's secret! Awesome. TFTC
A bit of water around but easily avoided. The cache was visible from a few metres away so have tucked it a bit further in.
Just about to stop when a group of about 10 cars pulled in over the road. Came back later for a quick find.
Tftc left 10 cent piece, took marble as mini Swiss & poppa Swiss wanted to trade. Poppa Swiss first time cacher.
Nice little diversion for the ladies of the team as the boys were doing the Tongariro crossing. Thanks
Found another traveler that wanted to visit earthcaches in New Zealand so dropped it off too.
Early start to the day after a night in Turangi. Very quiet at 6am. Quick find TFTCSL
