Drenched! A lovely spot here but cache is very wet
Today I headed south to Clarendon, Kangarilla, Meadows and Prospect hill to find a few caches that were new from previous visits and ones I’d missed previously. Total of 33 finds for the day
Thanks for the cache

This evening, I travelled to Clarendon primarily to complete *The History of Clarendon* Adventure Lab, and visited a variety of places that contained geocaches. I hadn't fully explored Clarendon before except for an engagement party at the pub, and found it a quite historical and quaint town sitting next to the river. I used the remaining day's light to find roadside geocaches along the turns and crests of the roads, driving back through Blackwood to return home.
This was quite an unexpected spot for me, and I found it rather beautiful with the river and cliffs behind. If the cache was as good as the secret / out of the way location, it would have been deserving of a Favourite Point, but alas, the cache condition itself wasn't too good. I initially walked past the cache thinking it was rubbish, and then spent another 10 min searching around the "hot spot". However I eventually saw it as I was starting to wind up my search here. The logbook is nearly full and appears to have been water damaged. The container itself is a temporary plastic container, and probably needs to be more robust to survive long term. A CO check is probably warranted soon. Thanks smithnlb with saintsno1 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Was all in that “spot”. Climbed through the whole thing. Recent building works and bottles in that spot makes me thinks it’s been “lost”.
Today, Saturday the 25th of July being still and sunny meant for a crowd of Muggles, not only having a picnic, but also on the courts. A BBQ sausage sizzle was on aswell [^] It smelt amazing!
I was looking in spots higher up making it harder than it was today but as soon as i let the GPS settle it was not long and the cache was in hand
SL with the noisy Muggles below none the wiser of my hidden presence at 12:29.
The cache and contents are all good, dry and safely hidden away.

Quick find today. Have looked hard before so was good to turn the frown upside down. Maybe it was the time of year and the lack of vegetation that helped? Quiet a few so used a stick to clear before signing the log and replacing. Tftc.
Found while out hunting traditionals in and around Clarendon.
Thanks smithnlb for the cache

When we arrived at the sports grounds we found that we had to park on the opposite side of the oval to GZ. Walking across the oval was not an option - the cricket pitch was under water and the rest of the ground was very soggy. Thankfully there was a dry road around the outside but we could not drive because of a locked gate. Once we got to the area of the published coordinates we hunted around for a few minutes before the cache was located. As there were only a couple of sheets of paper in the cache, we left a temporary replacement logbook in a sealable plastic bag. Thanks saintsno1 for the cache.
Found it, but the cache has been muggled.
Only two log sheets in a rectangle black box with clear lid.
Will tag as needing maintenance ASAP.

On the annual Riley Rally driving around, saw this cache, came to look, Wazza9 was the lucky finder today, signed log and replaced. Thanks to smirhnib.
TFTC,
Our first drive around the area today as part on the National Riley Ralley.
A quick find once we decided where GZ was.
Visited trackables.

Had a beautiful lunch at D'Arenburgs Cube restaurant for the Team_Crumble birthdays. Spur of the moment (arent they always) decision was made to find a cache on the way home. So glad we decided to take the path this time. We definitely didn't have our best caching shoes on!
Found it quickly with the hint and Mr Crumble pulled the grass seeds from his socks on the way out. Tftc

Found 10m away from where my GPS was telling me to be.
Not really near the pump. Not sure what the reference to hot spot was either.
Anyhow - very nice location. Love the meandering water and backdrop against the cliffs.

***My 400th find***
After a family picnic lunch we came to search for this one. I think the terrain should be higher than a 2 and took a bit of searching seeing many possible hiding spots. Geokid was dissapointed he couldn't get close to it so I took it to him so he could make a swap.

I followed the hints and unearthed an empty container that could have found the cache. My muggle friend was looking near the place with the used toilet paper and plank and came up trumps! So I signed both our names to the log. This look way longer than I would have liked but was happy scrambling up and down those slippery hills on a damp late Summer's afternoon. TFTC
Out with hevwalker caching the Clarendon area this afternoon.
A neat parking area with some awesome cliffs we watched a hovercraft before setting out for a short walk.
There were people playing tennis & the walking track seemed to be busy enough with dogs & people.
We looked near the obvious structure but didn't find anything.
So we both trooped up the slope to look in the next obvious spot,
hevwalker pointed where we both really didn't want to look.
Turns out it wasn't there, but close enough.
Thanks for bringing us here saintsno1

Out & about late this afternoon with clare007...gotta love daylight savings...
Glad to turn my blue sad face into a smiley...
Today the grass was not as long as I recall it was last time...
A quick dash up the hill...
As previous finder mentioned what out where you put your hand...I found a small plank that did the trick...

Hi.
Out late at night with a friend. Found this easily out in the open so replaced it in the same spot but better hidden. The cache is not in the container as described. I forgot a pen so didn't sign the log book. There is room in the cache for a pen now. Perhaps a maintenance visit is in order?
Beware of the toilet paper and some other nasty "Product". Some idiot has used the immediate area as a latrine

Always a little nervous of long grass near river in summer. Got pumped but no cache.
We enjoyed a walk along the creek after having lunch in Clarendon today at the park. An interesting little spot for a cache.

Didnt find a small round twist top but found something quite large! Must have been replaced. TfTF
Been such a long time since I went caching. Where in the local park and as this was close by I couldn't resist. TFTC
One of Apty's finds from years ago. I was hoping I'd see him lock eyes into it and get a bit more of a hint, but he couldn't remember where it was. The available hint was enough, so when my gps settled down and I went the right way (the second time), the find was easy enough.

Out and about with Caching the Joint and Cache Closed. This one had us a liitle perplexed, with no obvious path to where we were being pointed... until we got pumped and kept going! TFTC
Definitely recommend some good boots as you'll be bushwhacking. Found with Wal&Ol and CachingTheJoint. TFTC. #113
10/14 for the day with Wal & Ol and CacheClosed1847. Very nice walk along the Onk River, interesting to see the water levels from the recent floods. Looked in a few places and reading the previous logs eventually narrowed it down. Need to go through long grass so take care in summer. TFTC #102
Found it. Well I found a melted blob at the hot area and signs of recent burning. Reading previous logs I'm confident that this is it. Have placed temporary container at the melted spot!!
No luck for me today! Treked up the hill and still couldn't find it. Coordinates are a bit off I think
Met up with Mr Froghoppin,
on a day with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat and muggle newb Alex on board.
Never give up.... it's there somewhere!
A few metres out, after climbing around and checking many good spots
finally found the right one!

Geology student geoson need to attend nearby to grab some photos for an assignment. So I dropped him and came here for a cache. Parked and started to walk to the cache. It started to drizzle and then pelt down rain. Undeterred I continued along the creek in the beautiful autumn colours. Arriving near GZ I looked up. Oh Bugger. Two steps up , slide one back in the now wet loose ground. Made it up to GZ for a reasonable easy find given the terrain. Thanks smithnlb. always love a challenge.
Wrong coordinates. Steep terrain certainly not suitable for children. Disappointed we tried this one, as it specifically said child friendly.
Found 1102
Found while out cacing with TRavellinBees, TR! and SnapHappy I apologise for the generic log and I hope this logs properly because I am currently trying to teach myself how to use GSAK and a GPS...my apologies if I get it wrong.
Thanks smithnlb for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. Cheers Tomboy 711

Found on a trip west to catch up with some great friends
After a trip from Horsham to catch up with some awesome friends in Adelaide. After a quick coffee, and a chat, and a visit from ParisLaura, we decided to jump in the 4wd and go and grab some.
This was cache #5 from arrival and #9 for the day.
It was an early morning for us today, and this one was found, signed, replaced and the journey continues.
Thanks for putting this one there, so that we could find it.

I heard that TR! were in town for a visit from over the border, and after meeting them at the NZ Mega I really wanted to relive the fun. We had a few missing from our previous crew, but today I got to cache with TR!, SnapHappy and Tomboy 711. Lots of fun was had and I really enjoyed the views and scenery from this part of town. I dont get out this way very often, so it was a lovely day.
This one had the group of us stumped for a little bit, the coords seem to be off a little, I think Tomboy711 took a new reading, so ill let her update in her log. Coords had me in a big dark tree, we also checked around the shed, but as we were ready to give up we went a little higher up the hill and it was found. TFTC

Similar to others. I spent a lot of time scrambling up and down the hill in different spots before spotting it as I was sliding down elsewhere. A clamber back up the hillside and the cache was in hand. My GPS put it about 10m out from the listed coords. TFTC. 17/03/2016, 11:30 Find #1662
Found on the way to Victor for the weekend. Was hoping to get a TB but it wasnt in the cache... not sure where it is... cache was a little way off GZ, but eventually found
Slipped a few times and now have a wet backside! I spent far too long searching in the area to which I assumed the hint referred. Finally found about 8m from my GZ so the satellites were kinder to me than they were to the trio that last found this cache. Dropped off TB Struppi. Thanks for the hunt smithnlb.
The recent logs weren't giving us much hope of a quick find as the co-ord's seemed to be out with too much slopey overgrown areas to search.
No luck for me today... Either my caching eyes aren't working or maybe the cache needs checking...
Thanks for bringing me here anyway smithnlb...

Out for the day with sir spectre and jacknor, I guess they are waiting for me to log this 1st lol, Got to GZ read the hint and thinking hmmmm.
3 sets of searching on what should have been a simple find. The 3 of us split up and searched a 10mtr radius each and still nothing.
Cache was eventually found and signed only 20metres away from where GZ had us
