Time for 4 of the Befuddled Puzzlers to venture out on a Wednesday Wander.
The group consisted of A Rat, A Starman, A Starfish and an Adder.
The awesome foursome braved the weather.
It was great to the Starfish back on deck today.
A quick find for us today.
Our day was filled with caches, laughter and no DNFs. Tftc

Another of our weekly Wednesday wanders with a Rat, a Starfish and one who gazes at the stars.
The forecast predicted a very wet late afternoon but who trusts what the weather bureau says?
We managed to stay dry but the cold had us donning coats and wet weather gear just to stay warm whilst picking up a few more newly published hides around the upper Yorke peninsular.
Each cache was visited and signed by each individual member of the group, that's how we play.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
Thank you for the cache Lilysu&Boxer Find Number 9954 on 17/08/2022

Woo hoo I was again with Befuddled for a jaunt northwards to get newly published caches and anything else that we hadn't got whilst passing. Today's crew in no particular order than alphabetical was Astro, Blackadders, Me, and S.A. Sewer Rat. Apparently my dab Dad Jokes haven't improved whilst I had my short hiatus but there was still much frivolity on the drives between caches..
No ants today - just a cache found.
***Thanks Lilysu&Boxer for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Out on our last day in Maitland area with iluvtrekking. Quite chilly but no rain or wind. Wow this area is a bit of a rubbish and tyre dump. Quick find though. Thanks for the hide.
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We have enjoyed the YP with their fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for guiding us around your state.

Last one for the day! Or night really.
Looking around by torchlight, sadly this area has become quite the dumping ground.
Luckily no ants tonight

- - cache at a wide social distance if you can - -
Dodge any bugs (except travel bugs of course)

Thanks for the cache

Yes, a very interesting feature . We think the horses would have to be pretty skinny to fit through there and it would be barely deep enough to come up to their chest .
Having said that, a quick Google search turned up a 1998 heritage document that listed it as a horse dip , another document suggested they were used to control a parasitic itch in working horses [B)]. So there you go - think what you will.
Unfortunately, the place has become a dumping ground .
TNLNSL.
Still an interesting bit of history, almost lost from the memory of time [|)].
Thanks Lilysu&Boxer.

Having relocated to Wool Bay for a while, it was time to get out and about for a drive up to Moonta for the day, finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Lilysu&Boxer!
Had to go to Moonta and Kadina for a few things, got a few caches on the way. Day 253 (Friday 8th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Maitland today. A total of 2 for the day and 5469 for the trip. TFTC
Spent a few days on Yorkes with earthlight, catching up with The X-Trailers. Day 1 was spent checking/maintaining/archiving caches. Day 2 was more maintenance and Day 3 we got to go geocaching. This is one of the caches found along the way.

The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Lilysu&Boxer, we enjoyed it.
I apologise for the generic log.

Hi there Lilysu&Boxer.
We found your cache **"Bull Ant Corner"** at 2:10:00 PM today.
This was our 19th find for the day and this makes our find count 13049.
Penny wanted to go to Ardrossan so that's (sort of) the direction we headed. We thought that it would be a good idea to find as many caches hidden off the main roads as possible on our circuitous route.
At the end of the run our final total was 21 finds and 1 DNF's.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Whilst in Moonta doing some family research we grabbed some of the cache that were not here last time we were here.
Then headed down to Weetulta to checkout the church that sits upon land donated by my Besties forebears a longtime ago.
As we were also meeting the CO later today, we though best to checkout one of their hides nearby!
Interesting story, and certainly would not have known anything about the history of this locale if not for geocaching bringing us here.

Out for a fun day caching with LLL51 and Madham02. Had a great time driving down the coast grabbing a few caches along the way.
We were now on our way home so headed inland and grabbed a few more along the way. Made a small detour to grab this last one on our great day out.

Todays journey was from Maitland into Kadina.
We collected caches along the highway & venturing off to some of the country roads for others.
A nice variety of caches found.
After settling our caravan into a local cachers back yard we ventured out to find a few local caches
Picked up a TB

Very late log with this one, but we couldn't find it anywhere, despite 4 sensible, level headed adults searching for around 30 mins. We'll save it for another time!
PS No bullants or snakes!!

Found by Mary & David at 1350. Plenty of aggressive ants near GZ, but we wouldn't have called them bull ants. We weren't about to go looking for the real thing either. A lovely area of natural bush just the same. We'll have to find that Bottersnike book for our little grandchildren. Our thanks to Lilysu&Boxer.

All I can say is they must have had some very small horses - about sheep size actually.
Either that, or they trained the horses to roll over in the narrow trench.
Very quiet on Bull Ant Corner today - must have been too wet for them.
thanks, Robmc.

Last one for the evening. Had pizza at the beach and then went caching with probable new cachers (although they have done a lot with me by now) in tow. Fascinated by the horse dip. Will ask the oldest farmer in our town why they would use a horse dip. If he knows I will post a note. Thanks
It was a hot night so we decided that instead of going to bed we would go caching. We had two friends with us. With our torches on we found the well hidden cache. We took a pathtag and left a wristband This was the third cache we found on our hot night out caching.

We saw the "Bottersnikes" book for the first time this afternoon at Lilysu&Boxer’s house, so we knew what to keep a watch out for. They were, however, hiding from us – unlike the cache, which was a quick find! Took cute dinosaur, left PT. Cache # 568.
