Found this on a stop while in the area, on a pleasant spring day. Didn't take too long to track down. Interestingly there is a rope barrier in front of the seat - it's not enough to stop access but I wonder if they don't want people to use it anymore. Oh well, it's not like we're doing any harm. TFTC.
#2721. Today was a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, (you certainly cant beat Wellington on a good day!) so GB Leader & I had a pleasant drive around the sparkling harbour to Eastbourne. I took the chance to add to my numbers of the A-Z of Lower Hutt finds, which I am (very slowly) knocking off. Plus this one which was a nice easy walk from L.Tftc craigandhannah.
A perfect Wellington Autumn day, out to enjoy sunshine! Nice easy find with RogerW1nz.TFTC
Well you certainly can't today. A perfect day for this cache. Driving past it was a no brainer to pull in here today. Sun shining off the water and two caches to be found. Nice little cache to be found here and a pretty awesome view today. TFTC and the reason to pull in here today.
Two for the price of one in this pull-in today. Nice and calm at GZ, nice easy find.Following a recent few weeks apart whilst I headed overseas with work, we'd agreed, and booked a few days in Wellington to see out the last of an indian summer/long hot Autumn! We had a couple of nights at a work apartment on/near Cuba St and was able to complete, and/or further on some Ad Lab series, as well as some further physical caches. We met up with daughter on Sunday and enjoyed some nice settled weather and temperatures whilst visiting. Thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.
Mr Berries quickly found this one. Now off to find dinner. Loving our geocaching holiday. Tftc
Such a windy day! We decided to trek in forest so we chose Main Ridge Track starting from Lowry Bay and ending to York Bay. While walking back to our car couhgt also this cache. Greetings from Finland! TFTC!
Great day for a joyride around the coastline. Cache is good and solid and we see you are fixing it tomorrow. We did take a photo if you want proof. You certainly can't beat the salt breeze in Wellington - we have had a good dose of it all week. Lovely sunny days though. TFTC
I was catching up with a friend (JUS3) this evening, and she suggested we have another crack at looking for a previous DNF on Port Road. Flushed with success at avenging that DNF, and having just found another cache a little further along towards Eastbourne, we decided to 'just get 1 more' and came along to this one. With the light failing, it took me a couple of minutes to find this one. Then it took me a further couple of minutes to carefully extract the log which was damp and hadn't been rolled tightly enough previously. But I did manage to get it out and get both our names on it.This will last a little longer, but cache is really beginning to show it's age, exposed as it is to salt spray.Thank you for setting this one up.
Cache is SOAKED and I had to avoid a local whilst getting it but otherwise all good! Tftc.
Thanks Craig and Hannah. Have found these type before so less than 5 seconds to find. On a pilgrimage to see the family.
Nice to turn the frown upside down. First looked for this one nearly three years ago. Found the cache on the ground - replaced. Out for a little expedition with Piwaka54.
A quick find not sure if the cache was where it's meant to live. I popped it back where I found it just incase
You definitely can't beat welly on a good! Very quick find, but don't think this cache was in the right place?
Neat, cute cache in a cute spot we've driven past a zillion times before. Who knew the reserve here was this big or this popular or this snuggly?! TFTC + FP for the cuteness of everything! Cheers
First one of the day, nice view, went with dragonfigther1458. Would recommend
Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and Dad (GNARwhal).
A windy Sunday afternoon. GeoHubby (GNARwhal) and I were planning to bike out to Pencarrow Lighthouse but thought next weekend might be the better option weather wise. So instead we have come round the bays to grab a few odd caches, and suss out some nice hiding spots for the series I will release in the near future.
Gorgeous wee spot here. Lots of people fishing. Miss 10 found a painted rock and then did some rock hoping back to the car.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
A neat cache, quick find as guessed what I might be looking for - picturesque little spot. TFTC
Ms M had a visit nearby so I had an hour or so to make a few finds in a typical blustery, moist Wellington southerly.
My last cache before I got the call to return. A nice fresh log. Thank you.
Relatively sheltered on this seat to watch the waves and debris wash over the road.

Morning TheCoddiwompler, cache replaced yesterday and now good to go. Happy hunting people
Thanks TheCodiwompler, will order another and place it down there. Hopefully lasts longer. craigandhannah
Checked this recently and wasn't where I'd left it. Will see if a DNF occurs
Out this morning with Demaoniac and LollieQueen. A nice quick find here. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
aFter coming down to Wgtn to take out bro in law for lunch we had to stop here tp locate a cache today . It was a nice day when you were out of the wind and so i could sit down and admire the scuttling clouds and a full tide splashing up along the coast line .
I thought i might know what sort of hide it might be after reading background info and logs and i was right so it was quickly located, signed and returned while the others drove the cr and turned it around to pick me up again on their way out.
thank you for this cache .

I agree. And this is no platitudinous endorsement - I agree completely. I have been in a number of cities and small towns and beach getaways over numerous summers, but Wellington is sill my favourite place on a nice sunny day. Maybe it is because I don't know those cities as well as I know Wellington, but on the other hard - that is also very much part the reason. Aucklanders can stay in Auckland - or Orewa Beach or Pauanui, for all I care. I have been to all those places and I would rather summer here.
Okay, enough of that. I cycled out here after work for a very quick find once I had ruled out the pohutokawa and decided the rocks should be reserved for last.
And then I cycled home. Loving this streak and the need to go for a cycle every day!

A nice quick find thanks. All quiet at GZ.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. It was a great weather day so we cruised down the Eastern shore of the harbour. New places that we have never been to until today.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

I am fairly sure I had stopped here a couple of times previously but was unable to search properly due to muggle activity. Surprisingly, I had the place to myself today and was able to search methodically. It didn't take me long to find what I was seeking.
First time hunting! Gave up a couple of times, but saw someone else found it a few days ago. They were very encouraging, so came back for another look! Great hide!
Lots of wood and lots of holes but no find today. Great view of Welly though.
