Found at 1:06 PM GAFF1.Great spot here, but no camping! Why on earth not?Headed off into the bush while lunch was being prepared and then a bit of a wander around as there was no usual structure to indicate that a cache was hidden - eg rocks, branches, bark etc. So then there was nothing else to do but to search under the "skirts" and luckily I hit the jackpot on the first try Thanks to mackerals
A little bit of bush bashing to get to this one. Cache and log in good condition.
Half the team had to start heading east for their own medical appointments appointment while the other half stayed with their friends in Geraldton. I'm heading down south and had to pick up a few caches to break up the drive. I'm concentrating mainly on adventure labs, virtual's and earth caches as you don't have to worry about muggles as much but I'm also stopping for any that look like as though they maybe a quick find.
The cache page didn't lie about this place being a great place to stop I couldn't believe I had the whole area to myself. Getting to GZ was a little bit more difficult after all the rain.
We had water lying around but a couple little solid tracks and I was soon hunting where the GPSr wanted . The cloud cover must have been playing havoc today but after reading the clue I moved about 8 meters to a logical location and sure enough the cache was located. The exterior covering is showing signs of wear but the cache itself is still in great conditions and the log book now contains our name. Everything has been returned as it was was.
Many thanks Mackerals for showing us this fantastic area

Found it. TFTC Mackerals. Happy to make the find here once I got to GZ. Nice break and short walk while passing. Replaced as found.
On a sunny Sunday day we decided to go for a little drive and get few geocaches around, tftc!
Caching our way back to Perth from Geraldton. This was one of the caches we stopped at.
This was a nice simple cache with plenty of room for swaps, located at a terrific rest stop. Views were good from the cache. Cheers mackerals!

Day 4 final day of the road trip with the boys. Heading home and finding smilies along the way. Thanks to the COs for your hides to enjoy. Sorry for the generic log.
Great past place for our final stop to stretch our legs and take in the view. Thanks for bringing us here.

Bindoon to Port Hedland
If I keep stopping I’ll never get there
Cache in good nick, but if someone has a replacement black bag, that would be good

Travelling along Hwy 94 and Hwy 1, our destination is Broome, via Karijini NP, then the trip home is along the coast sampling the towns we have yet to visit.
Of course along the way we will be getting a cache of two ......... and lots more.
We did take a short break here, just long enohgt to get this cache done.

Thanks mackerals for bringing me to this location and taking the time to hide and maintain this cache. I found the cache at 11:34:00. This was my Find 49 for today out of a Total number of 50 Finds and 4 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I signed the log and returned the cache as I found it.
This find brings my total number of Finds to 5403.

The GPS "updated" a number of times while we were searching so we endedul up alot deeper in the bush than we expected.. wear long pants and shoes!
On a crazy road trip instead of Christmas shopping, this was our next stop... Jase & DangerMouse09 headed to this one whilst Master 9 & I checked out the tadpoles in the stream Once taking the hard way to the cache, DM09 soon found the prize... They then found the track leading back to the car lol [:o)]

Dropped windmill blades at Warradarge and stopped in here to grab this geo on the way home. I've had this one saved in my offline lists for such an occasion, ie: time to make a stop on the return trip This one had soo many possible spots... but I found it eventually. Glad to have signed the log and have a wander in this lovely area. TFTC
Nice little spot to stop and rest. Maybe a camp site if you pick the right side (and be responsible). Loved this little spot. TFTC
My gps is not very good so took a little while to find it. My daughter found it by chance
This is not a shorts and thongs cache in the middle of summer. Will try again with more appropriate attire. However a pretty little spot that I would not have otherwise known about.
First days of the holidays and a few days north for something different. Bit warm but that's nice and a find to break up the drive tftc
Bit of a bush bash but got there tftc

I don’t know why but I had got it into my head that this one was going to be tough. Instead it was a NEF. TFTC Mackerals
On our way home from an Easter break in the Murchison our mission was to clean up another area on the map, happy to say we did just that here today TFTC
Furst went down the wrong road then got stuck at a fallen tree, managed to walk down though and found GZ after a little bushwhacking. Like some other geo cachers I over shot the prize but found it on my way back. Cache is in excellent condition and hidden as it was found.

Was sure if I was going to get this one as the grass was long and it's the start of snake season. I had a good look around and spotted what I thought was a geo trail. Sure enough it was and I actually walked past the cache but turned around as something moved. My leg had brushed against the bag that covered the cache. Thanks for the adventure
Found the cache. It's well placed far enough from muggles. Took the trackable zombie.
I attempted this guy last weekend solo but got a bit scared out here on my own. Came back with my muggle boyfriend and found this cache after a lovely little walk. His first cache, don't think I've managed to get him hooked yet though. Even saw an echidna! dropped off a trackable too! Tftc!
Day three of our trip to Geraldton for international geocaching day 2017, our fourth time attending this event since it was first done in 2013.
We started early to tackle a number of hides in the chapman river series, which was a very pleasant stroll this morning despite the wet undergrowth which soaked both our boots! Some very cool geocaches around the trail which were most fun to complete, and a few DNFs too, it wouldn't be a caching day in Geraldton with some DNFs.
We finished up there and collected a few more caches around the burbs of Geraldton including some tree climbing. It was decided that we needed to start the journey back home this time
Via Brand Highway to collect all the caches that we've missed on previous travels.
We had one last Geraldton cache in Bootenal Springs which was a lovely walk through and exploring aboriginal heritage in the area.
We continued along brand Highway collecting a
Couple of caches in dongara and then continued on collecting cache after cache all the way towards regains ford before we packed up the caches and headed straight for home.
Overall a good weekends caching with around 70 finds over two pretty full on caching days. We've got some big plans to tackle the Indian Ocean drive caches in a couple of weeks that we always seem to miss on our trips to Geraldton, hopefully staying at Jurien bay or Green Head.
Was a bit of a frustrating trip with around 30 DNFs, a number of which haven't been found for some time. We had some bad co ordinates, not sure if it was us or the cache, but spent a lot of time expanding search areas to find caches. Look forward to coming back for next years IGD event to find a few more caches around these parts!
The highlight of the trip would be the caches along the Moresby Range. Highly recommended. Thanks to the local COs for their caches.

Day 3 of the Geraldton trip for the IGD event held up there.
Again we started of a little late this time as I kept sleeping through my alarm. First for everything and a sign of the intense workload and Geocaching I have managed to fit into these last 2 weeks, over 600 caches, 450+ FTF, 2 events, 1600km to get all of this as well as working 2 50hr weeks.
Today's events had us clear a few more Urban caches as well as a great walk along the Chapman river, I really needed to wear shorts and gumboots as by the end of it the trainers and jeans I was wearing were saturated.
We then left for Perth around lunch and made a few finds on the way home.
It was a great weekend up in Geraldton with the deliberation in the car in the way home summing up the trip as we are suckers for punishment.
Each visit we get our worst DNF % on caches attempted, then clear previous DNF's from other years and end up saying by the end of it when are we coming back!
Again will see some of you at WA goes Big in Rockingham and possibly the rest of you at IGD in Gero next year!

We found the other cache nearby jumped in the car and took off only to turn around and come back when notice this one was there. We made the short hike and quickly spotted the cache. TFTC mackerals
Nearly missed this one with axell33 after getting the first one. Glad we turned around to grab it. It is a nice spot to stop at for a bit of a leg stretch. Tyftc.
Good hide. A bit of a cross country challenge here. Have to report that the box is disintegrating and will probably not survive many more finds. So, hunters, handle with care. Good luck. Many thanks.
Nice and safe well away from the muggles using the rest area. Needs attention as the box is suffering from exposure to the elements. TFTC.
Didn't really enjoy the walk to this one but nothing deadly seen or heard. Quick find. Thanks for the cache mackerals.
On the family trip to Geraldton. Decided to stretch my legs, give some exercise to kids and most importantly - to find few caches.
Thank you
Thank you
After caching in Geraldton and surrounds for the past six days it was time to head south and home. There was a family fishing across the ford as we arrived - however they hadn't caught anything for their dinner as yet. Looked like they were well set up for the night with a camp fire blazing. Geo-hubby made a quick scramble through the scrub to record our visit. Thanks mackerals
On the trip home from the now famous annual IGD event in Gero. Myself, Kyzabra, jinta29 and SVKR_WA piled into the Sante Fe with a view to grab the odd smiley here and there along the way.
Since we weren't allowed to stop here on the way up I guilted our driver to stop on the southbound trip. After a few puddle jumps and some tricky terrain due to the high river level we made it to GZ where I spotted the cache on approach. The container is in need of some TLC, it would be nice if the next finder could bring a replacement.
mackerals I found your cache at 11:53am, this was the 11th of 14 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3432. The cache was in a bad way but I replaced it as found.

Bare feet were not the best choice for this challenge but I got there in the end and avoided the storms too. Lots of thunder off to my right.

Heading home from a weekend in Geraldton with Jinta29, Granett and Kyzabra for International Geocaching Day 2016
It has been a great weekend and on the way home we couldn't resist stopping for a few caches.
We stopped here to grab the two caches nearby. It was quite wet on the way to grab this cache. We needed to jump a couple of puddles - we didn't fall in.
At GZ the hide was quickly spotted.
mackerals. SVKR_WA found your cache on 21 August 2016. This find brings our finds count to 1508.
We have signed the log and replaced the hide as found.
Thanks for bringing us to this place.

Left at 3.30am from Perth to go to Geraldton for a few days, and stopped along the way to pick up some caches. Most caches were found quite quickly with a few tricky ones that took a bit of searching. Managed to find 45 on the way with only 1 DNF which I think might be missing .Looking forward to finding more tomorrow TFTC mackerals
Found this one when we took a short break on our way through to Perth. Pity about the picnic area, it could do with a good slashing. TFTC. SL.
Tftc,
Heading north with the Riley Rally for a Wildflowers experience.

Oh my goodness, difficulty rating 10! I think we found it via the hardest rite possible, but thanks for the fab adventure in between Geraldton and Perth!
Stopped here for some lunch and a cuppa on our return from a trip up north. Great spot, would not have known it existed if it wasn't for this cache.. Took the TB
A good find tonight as we have stopped for a rest break en-route home to Perth from Carnarvon. We also decided to drop of a cute little TB to continue the journey. It had a great time touring around Perth. TFTC mackerals
Great cache. Love these ones that take you places like Reagans Ford. Hot humid drissly weather set the scene perfectly. Also hint/spoiler, no climbing over of barbed wire fences required.....unlikely many Geocachers would make another Geocacher do that!
Water level too high to get around the end of the fence and wasn't keen on climbing the two strands of barbed wire

After spending most of the morning at Geraldton, mainly at the museum, we left for Fremantle where we will spent tonight.
Along the way we found 11 caches of which this was the 11th.
Well this was a nice spot but a bit of a bush bash to get to the cache.
It was great in the area of the cache with not as much grass and a few grass trees around the place.
The cache was in good condition, and I took the travel bug to aide it in it's journeys.
Thanks for placing this cache mackerals

Kyzabra and I were on our way back to Perth after a weekend geocaching in Geraldton and we decided to stop and grab this one on the way past.
I was a bit apprehensive when we stopped here as there were a few muggles around and my GPS was pointing me towards some of them. Once the machine had settled however, the cache was a little distance away from prying eyes and we made the find. TFTC mackerals
