Many DNFs and no finds for almost 13 months. I think I this one needs some CO attention to co firm if it is actually there to be found.
DNF. Three sets of eyes looked everywhere. I see that it hasn't been found since 9/16. Perhaps it's gone..
read prev finders for a clue ad could not find
searched tree's close by also no luck

CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
Roaming Wendy very kindly came out with us for the rest of today and as a result, our find count increased as did the laughter in the car
Thank you for your company [^]
Loved the train [^]

Sooooooooo pleased this wasn't on the actual train!!! An easy find! Thanks kim rose for the hide!!
This was one of the caches found on a three day odyssey on the Eyre Peninsula! Myself, GoodLook and locuscache had never cached south of the Cowell/Cleve area so we had high hopes of some great caching. We worked our way down through Port Neil and Tumby Bay and grabbed those along the highway plus a few a little further afield.
Our time in and around Port Lincoln was frustrating. Lots very small micros, lots of very rusty tins and more dnfs than ive ever had in a day before this. We were very fortunate that local cacher , Roaming Wendy joined as. Her expert knowledge of the town certainly helped. A medical issue had us stay a third day. This worked out very well as we could do some relaxed caching on our way home.
A special thanks to Roaming wendy for her help and to those who hid caches in the area … particularly the Geo-Ambos, Wheres Wolly and Viper231. Special thanks also to my “mildly obsessive” caching buddies on this trip …………………………… amazing fun!!

Woo hoo, we found it! Happy it wasn't on the train but close by in the tree.
After messaging Roaming Wendy, she graciously joined us and jumped in our car in order to cache around Lincoln with us (as we'd not been having much fun with all of the DNFs).
Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache, with the aim of the weekend to cache in and around Port Lincoln - fresh territory for us all. We certainly had a great time, however with a DNF rate of about 40% [:(!], it was tough going! We did however thoroughly enjoy the beautiful locations and scenery.
After joking all day on the Sunday we should spend another night in Pt Lincoln, circumstances presented that meant we needed to extend our time away! We took it slowly on the way home which enabled us to once again visit some terrific places
Thanks for the cache

Didn't have a pen or pencil so left a little love note exchanged between me and my partner as a record that we were here
Staying in Tumby Bay for a few days we set off finding the caches around here cleaning up a lot of unfounds from previous trips, we found the original cache here, not sure where the replacement is but after sticking my hands in places i shouldn't and even being bitten by a huntsman we could only find the original cache. TFTC
i have repalaced on behalf of kim rose and all is well again just remember it might not be where you think it is
Fantastic little Train cache all in good order with a new log book inside too. Sounds like somebody wants to be Pinky and the Brain and rule all the caches. Good hide gets a FAV from us for the Train and hide. TFTC
I found this with mummy and daddy and my sister while we were having a holiday in Port lincoln
[blue]Oh dear, oh dear !! [:o]
Thomas !! What has the City of Plincoln done to you ?? !! [:o]
This is no way for a proud railway engine to be put on display !!
Thomas hardly looks like a locomotive anymore !!
Just a metal box on wheels now, decorated with pretty painted patterns
At least they left the underside alone and it is quite clear that this loco was a heavy duty shunter in its heyday
Probably owned by BHP and servicing the Coffin Bay line.
But I cannot find any info online about this little engine
I did find a cache hidden upon though
So TFTC [/blue]

nice spot to rest in the shade for a while while contemplating whether or not i like spiders.
I doubt this is hidden as originally intended. It took 25 minutes to locate and the placing didn't match either the hint or prior notes posted. Either way, relieved to eventually locate the well concealed tin. Thanks kim rose.
who doesn't love a train hid, glad the kids are shorter than myself and was glad of a find after a little bit of time. tftcsl thanks for the challange
was away for the weekend, what else is there to do but shout out to the locals and go a caching

Cache check for Wally. Wow it is still there from when I did it in 2009. Last log entry is Everlasting in 2011. Maybe a spoiler required for some! X marks the spot.
After some time searching decided to give up on this one!
Thanks Kim Rose for the hunt and exercise.

Set out early this morning hoping to get our first kim rose cache as met here several days before .
Should have gone in search earlier as children playing in the area so will leave for another day
Thanks for bringing us to this great little park anyway

It's been a while since anyone has recorded finding this one.
Not found by me either.

I have been here before for the previous cache. This was a much harder hide. Love trains and finding caches on trains. Woo hoo. Toot, toot.
the woodsys love train caches as much as Freddo loves nanos!!!! Had a big hunt, no luck! Ring the Astro helpline .... he's too busy visiting wheres wolly to answer the phone ..... about to give up when Jake makes the find. Thanks once again kim rose
Found by Mary & David at 0930. Loved Thomas's colour scheme. David spotted the cache on the second pass, but had to leave it to Mary to retrieve it. Our thanks to kim rose.

My nemesis in Lincoln. Crossed off the list after about 3,4 or 5 looks. Sure I looked here before but micros on trains are always a headache - yes, banged head a few times. Our thanx to Kim Rose from TeamAstro. Sorry I just missed the dinner the other night.
Normally we are pretty good with trains but today it wasn't to be. We looked until 09:47 AM and decided to pull the pin.
Thanks anyway wheres wolly.

great spot nice thinking, the kids went sriaght for the play ground so it was easy to find, but raining at the same time

Number 6 for day one of our Easter Mega-cache Hunt
Long after the kids had given up, long after the wife dragged out the laptop to search out a clue, long after she returned with the clue that didn't help us, I eventually found it. Such an obvious place once you've found it!

Couldnt find. GPS was zeroing out, but nowhere for cache to be hidden, looked in the obvious place still had no luck. Oh Well.
Geocaching is more fun than watching a cricket match (which is what the rest of the mob were doing!) Nice artwork. Found with a muggle friend. TFTC
A lovely train - you think you know these then you realize you have a lot to learn. Even with the hint, it evaded me and AstroWes.
Next time. Toot and clear skies....
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Done with Muffy and Co although we had to go back after school with the kids for extra help and reason to be there!
this was a challenge. Was there earlier in the day with euge tree with no luck, collected the geokids from school then we went back. Needed the disguise and extra eyes. i felt silly when I eventually did find it. There seems to be a pattern with all "kimrose" hides they appear to be 4-5 metres out compared with my garmin.
I have to say that caches on trains give me the "willies" so many nooks and crannies !!
Thankfully geoson has a keen eye.
Not so easy find but great place for small people
