F(H)ound It! #3879 @ 1:00 PMDunnehunters and I obtained the coordinates for this one last week but decided to keep travelling upwards and then we got distracted before we could return. So this was first on our list to claim today. A nice straight forward multi and a pleasant location. Cache is in good order thanks for the cache, rhino3004
Caching around East Coast and a bit inland for a while. TFTC. Nice hike over the hill with lots of caches found.
Today a planed hike under the group name SCG (Sunday caching group). I had not walked this area but was keen finally come here. It ended up a very nice not too long walk of just under 6km and 240m alleviation gain, which took us about 2.5h with breaks. A nice coffee afterwards and a shout out to the organizers.
Quick find, here. We had to add a logsheet as there was non to be seen in the otherwise complete and logged cach. all in good order now though.
Thank you rhino3004 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few hours of caching fun. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up as many solves as I can to keep that long list under control. Seems to increase faster than it decreases

Keen for a multi today, GLISS! and I targeted this one. A nice quick find today. Thanks for the cache!
This cache ticked the boxes Nibletricecakes and I needed for a challenge cache today. It was a quick find at gz. TFTC.
#1713 Upon my descent from the mountain I ducked off the path to WP1. Data acquired, then off to GZ for a quick find. Added my name to the scrap of paper as no logbook to be found. CO has been notified. Thanks rhino3004 for the Multi.
After a better night sleep at Condor I am ready for the important day. Hopefully the weather is going to be better than the last few days. Into Namadgi today for an event and a walk. This will put me on 20000 !! Woohoo, good milestone that I am proud of. After that caching my way home for a good night sleep in a bed.

#12234 - 11:49:00 AM; After collecting information for an AL further down the road, chose this multi as the next stop. Managed to get there and back between showers. Spotted the cache on approach to GZ as it was out in the open. On checking the contents, the log book is missing, so added my name to a scrap of paper inside Nice to collect one of the local oldies TFTC rhino3004
A good finish to my day on the mountian. So many ants at the end sit but no issues in getting the cache. Thank you for the simple multi
As someone who is new to multicaches, i appreciate the difficulty of this to get used to them thanks!
Another climb up this hill today with the GeoPup to get a waypoint for an AL I'm doing. This was a nice simple multi to do on the way up and the way down. Cache found at final GZ with no issues. Thanks rhino3004.
Settled on the final coordinates and then a quick find early this morning before climbing a nearby hill for a couple more heading towards my 3rd D/T loop. TFTC rhino3004 TNLN SL
Wet and wind, what better conditions to have on a day out and about Rob Roy. Started out around the electrical station then followed the trail up and around. Peaked a few hills, crossed a few streams and generally got blown around. The views today weren't great but what fun it was, and not soul about, had the whole reserve to myself (effectively).
Found this cache without issue, signed and replaced. TNLNSL TFTC

I had one cache in my sights today, "Eagle Mountain?" which was at the top of a nearby hill with over a year of unloved! After I had grabbed it and started my descent, I decided I better grab one more cache whilst here given I completely missed the other cache halfway up the hill due to my excitement.... Doh!
So reached the bottom and checked out this multi-cache instead!
Nice and easy, just how I like them
Thanks rhino3004, incredible to see how many years this has lasted, well done!

Soooo, with all the "self- isolation" going on, Aquilus1 and my original plans for going further afield went up in smoke, but that was OK as we ended up going around Tuggernaong cleaning up the caches here and there that we were missing. There were a few that both of us had not found, and quite a few just one of us had logged previously.
Tuggeranong Hill was a feature, and I have to say I dont understand why it only gets the moniker "hill'... it felt much like Mt Taylor and the contour lines tell me they are roughly the same height.
We even found a letterbox, ammo can and all, with a PROPER stamp! none of this kids stamp set rubbish we have seen of late...
I was a little sad as I felt like a Goodberries today... I havent had one for maybe 10 years, its certainly been a while...but they are closed for the entire weekend. Always the way hey.
Sorry for the generic log, we did so many today....

Beaut multi with nice views at both spots .
Plenty of Roos about but no walkers .
Thanks for the hide.

There's got to be a better way to the first spot than the way I went! I picked a pretty poor route through all the prickly bushes. All in all a good quick adventure, thanks
My last cache for the day and after a short detour off the path, I had the cache in hand.

My first multi cache. Im getting better at this game, never would have found it when I first started. TFTC #13
After a bit of searching at WP1 we found the proper cache nice and easy dropped a zombie travel bug.
Found 8:00 pm with girlfriend. Late, after midday we decided to get out and find a cache or two but I also wanted to find a Geocaching Australia item and the Trig on Tuggeranong hill was one of them. So this seemed to be a candidate but boy the climb was tiring especially after deviating and going down hill and then back up again for the caches nearby. The girlfriend was ok to go and so we set off, it was only later nearing our start point that I found she had a poor choice of footwear with scuffs or slippers type shoes. But she made it to the top and we had found some caches along the way. Now this cache was the first we headed over to on the way up and being a multi I was a little puzzled at first as to what we had to do so at GZ all we could do was to start searching around. I found a bottle opener hanging and we closely checked this out but no clues on that so a Red herring. Cast a bit wider and then I spied something a little suspicious and Bingo. Now logged the info for our return journey from the Trig and the top. On the return we headed over to GZ and the find was then quite quick. It's interesting to note the power lines heading off in a different direction to the local housing area. I signed the log and returned the cache to its hiding location
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

A mornings caching on Tuggeranong Hill. A pleasant walk up to The Siamese Gums multi cache, then down to the couple of trads, then cross county to here. WP easily found, as was the final. TFTC.

Nice simple multi, got a bit distracted by an object in a tree at WP1 but soon found the coordinates needed. Having just come across one of the biggest brown snakes I've seen in a long time way to close, was busy watching my feet but coming across someone's camp lightened the mood. Passion pop, glow sticks, tent, blanket and other items abandoned but looks well used! Cache found ok after a bit of a fence climb. Thanks for the cache rhino3004.
A nice straightforward multi to start me off in the right frame of mind before the slog up the hill. TFTC rhino3004
Feeling too lazy for Namadgi so took skyline track to the shops and pick up some caches along the way - tftc!
Luckily I came at this one from the right direction. Nice area and a quicker multi than I thought it was going to be. Tftc!!!
Nice multi. Not many of this kind around. Appreciated.
I did the first station of this one, then a geo tour around to find all but one on the hill, and just came back to the final to finish my geo day.

Saturday 8 October 2016 - an overcast cool Spring afternoon at 20 degrees. Rode bike and walked for 1h 46m over 3hrs for 6km to find 10 from 10 caches AND just surpassed 2,000 cache finds - yeah! Enjoyed watching the kangaroos and seeing a large echidna that wondered across the path. Thx p2p. TFTC Bronnie_1990.
Approached from the wrong direction as GZ was where I had just come from!
WP found OK (with added termites), and good sized GZ container all OK.
Thanks,

Found on a 'Meet up' walk led by DarkSideDan. We headed up to grab the trig and views before moving back down to pick up some trads and multis. Didn't take us long to sort this one out - nicely laid out. TFTC
Ok ... what happens when a Geocacher organises a walk up Tuggeranong Hill and 2 other Geocachers and 3 muggles attend? - caching, of course
The muggles were happy to stop for a couple of rests on the way up/down so the 3 of us found (or in the case of the walk leader - revisited) a couple of quick caches on the walk (and visited the trig at the top , then we found 4 more after the official walk ended and the muggles left ... Then Darkside Dan had to leave to run an afternoon walk (which was to an area dogs were not allowed in, and I had my dog with me and KittyKatch also left ... so what did I do? - ate my banana, grabbed my apple to take with me, and the dog and I went for another walk and found 4 more caches (which included one we had to walk back up to the top of the hill to find!) and started another multi but got stuck at a missing? WP for that ... 13 year old Golden Georetriever is now sound asleep beside me on the lounge, and his 53 year old person is feeling rather tired too - lol (we got home rather late - we stopped somewhere else and went for another walk on the way home, to not find (grrr) a mystery cache that I had solved the night before.
TFTC - a nice quick, easy, multi ... in an interesting area - lol
Seemed like a nice safe place to hide it, so I dropped off a couple of the bunch of TBs I had been carrying around for a while - time for them to travel with someone else

Had to go out on this beautiful autumn day, tftc quick multi and lots of birds and kangaroos, a good day to me
A morning hike up and around Tuggeranong Hills to grab the remaining caches we couldn't get last time. Nice cool weather made for a relatively easy walk, and despite not finding a few (muggled...) we had a great time. Even the woofer enjoyed herself.
A fun cache and an easy find. TFTC!

This was a DNF in July 2014. Tried again to-day and found quite quickly. TFTC.
My first successful find on a walk of the far side of Tuggeranong hill. A bit of back-and-forth given the direction I approached the first coordinates from, but no matter - walking is what I came for anyhow!

Australia Day, whats better than going out for a walk in our great backyard?
Today I decided to go for a hike and get some caches that I have been eyeing off for a while. Wow, these rises really tested ones patience lol. I took my time to get where I wanted to be as it was just me taking a casual stroll.
A nice easy little multi with a quick find at the end. Cache signed and replaced before heading off for one more find the day.
Thanks for the nice easy multi rhino3004

#929. 44 days in a row.
I headed over to this cache after work since I was having to remain in the area to go to someone's house later. Quick walk up the hill to gather the coordinates, then a short walk (that seemed too short to have been allowed by the reviewer) to grab the cache itself. No muggles about this area today - they must have been smart enough to stay out of the heat.

This was one of my very first DNFs a couple of years ago and I remember spending a very long time failing to find WP1. Had another go today and with a lot more caching experience under my belt I found WP1 immediately . Stored the required data into my phone and then headed on to find another cache before swinging by GZ on the way back to the car. Great hiding spot at GZ and a nice sized cache, TFTC rhino3004.
We had a lovely walk up Tuggeranong Hill today and along the way we collected the required information for this cache. At the end of our walk we headed across to GZ and made a quick find. Plenty of power here.
Thanks

Had a bit of trouble with my dodgy phone gps but ended up finding. Thanks for the nice cache.
Like the previous finders, I visited in poor weather. I liked the final hiding place. TFTC
Found with my mum on a chilly afternoon. You're right - it was a nice walk from our house nearby, except it was very cold!! We followed a dirt path towards WP1, crossing flowing creeks and marshy ground. The area was very wet from the recent rain. Once we walked about 800 metres, we arrived at the base of Tuggeranong Hill and we could spot our new house! Nice view from that location.
We continued our walk and travelled straight up the hill towards the first waypoint while dodging around prickle bushes. We found WP1 fairly quickly and started walking towards GZ. A piece of circular wire suddenly appeared in my vision and tangled around me - luckily it didn't cut me! It is quite dangerous that there is random pieces of fence strewn around the place. I deposited it somewhere safer. We made a quick find once a GZ but the retrieval was a bit tricky. My hands were freezing and it was difficult to sign the logbook as well!
Our thanks to rhino3004!

Had to battle through a family of kangaroos and spider webs to get to WP1, where the compass decided not to help, but found it eventually. Cache was nice straightforward find. Tftc.
A pleasant walk in the bushland to the first co-ordinates and a quick find; then the walk to GZ and the well hidden cache. I liked the interesting thorny bark on the gum tree. TFTC rhino3004.
WP1 is still there and is in no need for replacing. I maybe should update the coordinates at some stage, but should be okay for now.
Seventh of ten for a half day walk up, over and around Mt Tuggeranong. This was the first time I think I'd ever been in the area, so it was good to see things from a different perspective
This was the hardest multi ever... not! We ignored this cache having seeing the previous DNF logs indicating WP1 couldn't be found. On the walk back to the car, we spotted something up the hill. Could that be a cache in the open? Yep, there it was, a cache, and it the lid was open to the elements. The contents were dry and we quickly found out which one it was but the name on the lid. This is the 2nd time in 21 days we've accidentally found a cache without using a GPS or even trying...
SL, and shoved it back where it is most likely placed before. I'm guessing something is using the space for a burrow and prefers to shove caches out of the way!

Spent the day geocaching around Theodore and Tuggeranong Hill Nature Reserve. Visited 21 caches plus several waypoints on multis, collected 4 trackables, walked 15.2 kilometres and ascended 581 metres. Some really good caches amongst these.
This one however I could not find WP1.

This hill is hard work!!! Fo a bit of downhill, I think we'll wander down the hill a little to do the first stage of this cache, eh dogs? Yeah, Dad, they say. Can we chase the kangaroos? Nah! That's why you're on the dog strings!. Didn't stop them trying though!!. I couldn't find the first stage of this cache. Oh well, next time. Back up the hill we go.
There was someone patrolling in a ute so I was quick to grab the cache and keep moving. TFTC
In the end it was much simpler that how it started - Binni and I knocked up number two - thanks for showing us the ropes Wasptor and Fraggle
