Just drove over the new bridge to see that the old bridge is fenced off and machinary ready to dismantle the old bridge. This cache could be gone!
Found on our last caching hit for 2009 (30th - 31st December) in the Nelsons Bay / Central Coast area.
We wish all a happy new year and hope to see you all at the Wagga Mega Event in April 2010.

We really enjoyed this cache. We have driven over this bridge many times but never stopped and walked over which was really lovely. Our co-ordinates were a bit off but the clue helped and we had the cache in hand soon after. Hopefully noone drops it!!!

On the way back from a weekend in Anna Bay with Wagga Wagga (Las Vegas). Like everyone else, it was a bit scary retrieving and replacing, TFTC!
Last one for the day as the temperature is increasing rapidly. We were looking for the obvious (magnetic yes) but not the location it was in...wonderful little spot. located it after some searching and SL TFTC

Wonderful hide! Helped a lot that the bridge is now unused, took me a while to figure it out... difficult to get out and put back too.
Haha tricky one to get out, almost dropped it. Can only imagine how much harder it would have been doing this one when the bridge was still open.
So so many hiding spots to search. Was looking on the wrong side to start with. Not real easy to retrieve but managed to get it out safely.

We think you have the gift...
They are fantastic. This was a great cache. In a great place.
Who would of thought of placing one here. Then hiding it the way you did.
It will be great to catch up at the Meet and Greet.
Thanks for a great Drive by.. Well drive up and then reverse back.
We *Recommend* this cache to all. Its a great little spot.

The hardest part about this one was the retrieval! Found the spot after a brief search on the out side we found the right spot. I was happy to get it without dropping it.
Thanks to The-Don for the cache.

Find! Great spot . Thanks to eagle eye geojunior for spotting the clue and digging deeper.
Found this cache while out and about caching for the day with the Geokids.Got to GZ and had two muggles in a boat fishing right beside it .Didn"t have to wait to long as Jnr fisher caught a fish so while they got busy bringing it in i signed the log and got out of there.TFTC Jnr Wobbly said thanks uncle.
Decided to check on this cache after the rain and as i suspected the log was soaked.Instead of just replacing the log i changed the cache container to a magnetic eclipse tin.Its a little bigger than the key locker which might make it a bit harder to retrieve but with a bit of care you should have no worries.Happy Caching
OK OK, we admit we resorted to the hint in this case. Found this one with McPhan, RexTrex and BigON on a numbers run into Newcastle from Nelson Bay. These can be very hard to find so we called on the hint and had the cache in no time. Nice old bridge thanks The Don.
Found with Team McWinTrexON while heading into the Big N. A quick scuttle across the road, then a relatively peaceful stroll straight to GZ. Thanks The-Don.
Found as part of the McWinRexOn team, I see what McPhan means, there's definitly a little something missing from google. a quick run over the road and a small stroll up the road we soon had the cache in hand. Nicely done though I must remember to get the hints before accessing the areas as my poor old blue etrex was really getting shown up with beeping maps, old logs and hints available to other members. Ah well Christmas is a coming round the bend.
TFTC and the quick little run to beat traffic.

2180. A walk out onto the old bridge with great views and an easy find by Mrs Winglen. Google maps makes it look different.

Have driven over this bridge a number of times before the new bridge opened, so it was a nice change to walk over it instead. We parked near a large truck and walked back towards GZ. With the help of the additional hint it wasn't long before we had the cache in hand. I was very careful not to let go of the log in case it blew away. TNLNSL TFTC
After 20 finds at the Port Stephens / Newcastle Invasion Event just one more couldn't hurt. Anyway we needed at least one Newcastle find for the day.
It was a bit windy. I had to be careful not to lose my hat or the log sheet.

I remember when you used to be able to wait a day or two in Newcastle and still get the FTF, now you come in third if you take more then an hour. It is much different walking out on this bridge without the traffic on it.
Thanks The Don.
Thanks The Don.
Found this one whilst out for a day caching with TheWobblys and The Don.
The Don told me that a new cache would be coming online soon as he had submitted it that morning.
He didn't tell me where though. I checked the emails whilst stopped at Endangered Species at Heddon Greta.
There is was but I told him there was no point driving back at that time as fattyacid would alreay have it by the time we got back.
We knew fatty was out and about as he had been around Thornton before us today.
Stopped in about 5.30pm on the way home and sure enough fatty had been there.
Thanks for the cache little brother.

Was watching a movie at home when I checked email on laptop. New cache, so we hit the road running. On approach we could see a car at the prime parking spot... we knew the FTF had alluded us again. As we parked we saw the car pull out and with what appears to be the codewords for are u a geocacher (Are you looking for something? ) said hi.
Had a great chat to Fattyacid before grabbing the cache, our 30th. We have only been caching for a month and are enjoying the challenge. Looking forward to getting off the road and into the bush when the new gps arrives. We had discussed placing our first cache this morning and this was the location we were going to use so nice choice. TFTC.
