It's a long way round now! This one was right outside where Steed did his chef training, but that was before (just) this cache was placed. No sign of it- unfortunately we hadn't read the recent logs as it was a spur of the moment one on our way to another.
Had to do a detour to get back here because of road works and then no luck in finding the cache either
Hunted along the entire Rosemary (type of lavender ?) hedge but to no avail...may pay to check if it is still there as hasn't been recorded as found since end of May
Parked up for a meeting & a cache 8 meters away; would have been rude not to sign the log!
Found on our 24hr cache-a-tron mission from Auckland to the Waikato. Quick walk to the cache since the barriers were down then returned to our trusty cache mover to carry on the mission
EIGHTY!!!!! of 164 finds in the 24hr Cache-A-Tron Waikato Cache Raid
(http://cacheatron.blogspot.com)
Once we managed to get into the campus, Barrier was down, and sun light was decipating... Tourch time.

Found on our 24hr caching mission, Cache-A-Tron - Auckland to Hamilton and back again. A bit of a peaceful stroll in (as the gates were closed) and a nice easy find. TFTC - #80 for the day

What the .... is with this road??!! - looks like the council has decided to make the campus hard to get to by installing an uncrossable median - we finally managed to get around and get into the grounds - but as expected the barrier was down.
more importantly... it was time to break out the torches as the sun was finally dipping below the horizon.... the rest of our finds would be in the dark...

Looks like theres been some gardening and it was a bit exposed so covered it up with leaves.
Cache was in plain sight. Was actually amazed it was still there as it hasn't been found for a week or two. Covered it back up.
Place brought back some memories of attending Wintec.

A quick find followed by drama as we found ourselves locked in by the barrier arms which automatically close at 17:00 hrs. We were VERY lucky to be let out by a staff member who just happened to be on site.
Boy was that easy, as it was visible from the car! If only my arms were longer I could have reached it from the driver's seat lol! Very quiet here on a Saturday afternoon. I've never been on the campus, despite driving past it daily for work for at least 10yrs, so thanks for brining me here. TFTC!
10.30am. Quick find as I could see it from the car. Covered a bit better when I left. Thank you. David.
Had the niece (SSGBME) with us today so enjoyed the caching

Left this cache smelling lovely. Was a bit strange crawling around in front of peoples cars, but soon had the cache in hand.
3pm - Easy find once we found what lot of lavenders, security arrived just as we were leaving. TFTC
Out and about signing off some solved puzzle caches, and collecting a few other caches on the way. Thanks.
Having never been to the Wintec Campus before, I found this to be a nice easy drive by cache. Picked up GC for some travels and left a GC . TFTC
#129 Easy find. Were shocked to see damage caused to the trees because of the wind. TNLN. TFTC
Was able to park next to the cache as gate open and only one other car here on a Saturday morning, TFTC
We drove in here and felt a bit uneasy searching in front of the parked cars but all went well

We drove in here and parked quite close to the cache. Felt a bit nervous searching in front of others cars, but didn't get seen.
Did stink of Rosemary for quite a while afterwards though
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks, signed log, took nothing. Dropped Kate's Tiger TB after visiting Hamilton Zoo, it now on its way to see more big cats.
Almost had to stick my head under a car to get this one; it was parked a bit too close for easy access. Dropped off CCWA5B.
Drove past this one already twice, but every time there are muggles hanging around smoking.
Was early today and had to sit an exam a couple of buildings further down the road.
Quick find.
Took Jeep TB.

It was now dark and the torches were out to find this one. Misread the hint initially but once -OGP- corrected me we made the discovery in seconds. TFTC
Nobody about the campus today, quick find.
In: Red Jeep and German TB.
Out:Ben and Jerrys TB and Elmos Jeep GC.

Found no worries, asked by security if we were looking for the GPS thingee. He had obviously seen it all before........
Quick find as there was no-one around because of the holidays. Weird noises coming from the neighbouring farm though. TFTC
Youngest member of our clan discovered this one, left part of my broken pen so the next person can fill in the log book!
Our last Waikato find of the year, and the 84th in the past 2 days. This was a late night find, before dashing back to Auckland to find the last 4 caches we needed to reach our goal of 1200 before the new year begins. This cache left us smelling great! Thanks.

So nice to come away from a cache without the normal dirty fingernails, instead we came away smelling beautiful. What a pleasant change. TFTC
Cache very exposed and impossible to cover up properly. No one around today so no problems finding. This was supposed to be the last cache of the day but we found an unexpected key, so just had to backtrack for another.
Ah, so that's what the key was for! Must have missed the fellas by minutes, as this was also our last cache of the day. Security left as we turned into the gate, so we knew that only the electonic eyes were on us. Easy find all the same. TFTC.
Waikato Polytechnic certainly has expanded since Mrs TT lived in Hamilton. Great campus. Discovered a key, so decided we couldn't resist picking up the cache it opened. TFTC
Easy find. GPS pointed directly to it and all I had to do to get the cache was bend down and ( refasten my shoes )

Found on our way up to Huntly, half expected someone to come and tell us to bug off out of the area. Skweak picked up a TB
XC and TK having just attended the local Event decided to pick up a couple before heading back to Auckland... Stopped here and parked Xena walked in to GZ... Not many student muggles around so stealth was not required... Couldn't find the lavender but found something similar and XC located cache ok... TK Signed log and I dropped in Micro Visitor 02 TB to continue journey...

Not quite a drive-by, had to walk the last bit due to a locked gate.
Nice campus though.
