Saw Yokoi's cave years ago when he came out of hiding. I still have the newspaper articles someplace. Thanks for the find!
Read about Yoki while still living on the mainland never thinking I would every have the opportunity to visit the actual sight. A piece of history we can all share. TFTC!
Our family was island hopping across the Pacific - sharing some of my youth with them, enjoying the islands, and learning some WWII history along the way. We went up and visited the park and saw the area Yokoi lived at for 28 years. What an amazing story! TFTC!
Went to visit Yokoi today but they would not let me climb down the hole into his home. This was a quick p&g on the way in. Loved the waterfalls also in the area. I do believe Yokoi picked a great spot. TFTC
This guy takes the cake. We went and saw his hidey hole.

Ok, so we didn't so "find" it as we did "replace" it!
This one was definitely missing, but I didn't want to list a DNF so far south and I have been carrying a cache and log in the CacheMobile TravelBug for some time now and I realized it was perfect for this location.
Placed the new cache in the obvious spot near GZ and dropped a gecoin to boot!

Attempted on 16 Feb, standing on top of coords but not found. New road construction underway and it seems the location is no longer valid. Might need maintenance and/or update of coords.
We had a nice drive out to this location and enjoyed reading about Yokoi. We arrived a little too late to visit his home but we had fun anyway. Thanks for the fun!
Found it with Kiwika and Blygoat as the driver. Roadwork muggles but not near GZ. Another cache that I thought I signed...but, I signed it this time around! Thanks for bringing me back here. TFTC SL
I finally got around to getting this cache. I don't know why it took me this long. Anyways, I arrived at GZ and started searching. 10 minutes later and nothing. I find an open pill container and was thinking that the cache had been muggled. I called the owner and he says thats not the container. He gives me a clue and I ask him if its supposed to be located at a particular place and he says yes. Hmmmm....I searched there and nothing....wait a minute....I see it....Now how did it get there. I put it back according to where the owner said it should be. Thanks for the help Geofreqman. JIMP59 (GUAM)
I had been wanting to come here for a long time so thank you for putting a cache here too
It was an excellent hiding. We could find after 15 minutes search.
It was really great to find a cache so far from our country, Hungary.
The Talafofo Waterfall park was fantastic and I was amazed at seeing Yokoi's Cave.
I couldn't spend even 28 hours not 28 years in this cave!
We enjoyed our short visit in this marvellous island.

Was with Geofreqman when he placed this one. Was really surprised no one else had put one here SL
*****Shared FTF with Curtz311!***** Couldn't believe it when we opened this one up and saw the blank log! I walked up to the area and said "if I were going to hide a cache here, this would be the perfect place for it". Sure enough, looked and that's where we found it. Nice hide. TFTC-SL TNLN
