I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi LeftyNZ
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Perhaps other comments are true that the cache is missing or washed away.
I tried.
I tried.
I was in the area tonight collecting a few caches, and this was one of them. I approached the cache from the south and so had to walk the length of the wooden walkway section that was clearly in the process of being worked on and repaired. When I arrived at the cache location I could see that a lot of work had been done at this end, and wondered if the cache had been 'discovered' by the work crew. I suspect so, as I searched the obvious, and less obvious, locations and found nothing. Even checked further down the bank in case it had been discarded in a bad way, but nothing found.
Delightful views on this walk discovering the area. I left the cache in good shape, I dried it out as it was a little damp. TFTC
We enjoyed this path which we had not been on before. There were still some great views despite the rather gloomy weather. There was really only one place for the cache. TFTC
A long walk and took two minutes to find when we got there. Thanks! First ever one
Picked this cache to find as it's in an area I haven't been to before and because I think it will get me one of those souvenir things we can earn from time to time (the last of the solar system wonders of the world series). Great views from up here - that's some significant elevation. Nice quick find in the first place I looked. The cache was in excellent condition. Picked up two trackables - though I didn't notice the geocoin. TFTC.

Great views from here. Dropped off 3 TBs to continue.
Log starting to get damp so stuck it on a plastic bag inside a plaster jar to keep it dry as some some reason we left the rest of our caching kit behind so had no spare logs.

The non native impostors nearby don't taste so good...
Don't recommend a tasting session while grabbing the cache even if the jump into your mouth

TFTC. Great find. We weren't able to log as we forgot out pen and the one provided isn't working. Thank you!
Found it. The rain had moved it out of place, but managed 5o put it back in more securely. TFTF
Visiting rellies and came out for a walk. Easy to find. Nice place. Sadly log book and contents soaking wet
Found it on a perfect Wellington morning. As previously mentioned, sadly the cache is waterlogged. Poured out the new water - If you are aiming for this one, bring a plastic bag.
Great views, and glad to make a relatively simple find for this cache. Never been around this track, so that's also been very interesting! TFTC!
I wanted just one cache for the last day of the year and had just a little time to spare before I got ready to go out. Everything I looked at was a recent DNF and I didn't have time to waste. Finally this looked promising. And it was. A lovely spot. TFTC
Nice easy find. Ejected something mouldy into the bush, but otherwise in good condition.

Quick evening find under torchlight. I'm sure the views on a clear day would be lovey, but barely seeing my hand tonight!
Thanks for another smilie. all good at GZ
Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/)
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.
Hoping to see you at the [Oamaru Geofest](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6M2V0_oamaru-geofest-2017) during Labour Weekend 21-22 October 2017. Let's all help this a successful event!

Didn't find it, but we are newbies so could be we didn't know quite what to look for!!
Classic hide in a great area. I haven't been on this walkway for ages and it was good to have an excuse to come up here again. Went to sign the log and found I'd lost my pen - presumably while clambouring over things at another cache. Luckily this was a "big" cache and it had its own pen. It just started raining as I returned the cache.
A lovely view today and a quick find while enjoying a walk along a nice little track. Log book a little damp but have placed in plastic bag now so hopefully will not take on additional moisture. TFTC
Found with TregearP whilst on a short walk after scoring another nearby cache. Hadn't been along this path before and enjoyed the spectacular views.
All in good order at the cache - added a plastic bag for the log book as it felt as if was starting to absorb moisture. TNLNSL, TFTC.

Decent walk to get to this one and rewarded with very nice views. Straight forward find. Cache all good. TFTC
Fantastic day to view the harbour with the sun shining bright and the harbour below like a millpond. Thanks for the cache.
TFTC. Decided this would be a good afternoon to 'tidy up' a couple more in this area. A short stroll, and "nice and easy thank you"!
Our first find! Lovely introduction and exciting for young one to find "treasure"!
This was the first one the kids were able to find on their own! They are now hooked!
Nice easy find along a pleasant walkway with great views. Worth a FP for the view. First time I've been here, so TFTC.
#1719 A pleasant wander down the path to this one and I managed to look in the right spot first go. TFTC. Love the walkways in Whitby and surrounds. TFTC!
Nice easy cache with great views probably last of our time in NZ back to Spain tomorrow. ..thanks
#530. My first LeftyNZ cache that I would say was an easy find. Nice walk along the path and soon onto the boardwalk and cache in hand shortly after. Took quite a few photos of the harbours and scenery. TTFC
Nice and quick find in first place we looked. Our second Lefty find of the day. Thanks!
