This cache is missing. I am not going to replace in this same location due to nesting birds in the area.
Found the obvious spot but as per previous dnf's assume this has gone missing. Needs checking please
Didnt realise you could walk down to the beach, so scrambled down and explored every crevice I could get to, but no cache, beautiful location though.
On holiday from the UK and my sister has set me up with the task of dropping off a TB.
Sadly I could find this one after an hour of searching in the rain!
Time is slipping, she is going to be cross if I don't find a cache big enough before I fly home! *Gulp*

On our way to the Magnificent 7 gathering and decided to do a round the mount cache collection. We had to wait for a chance, between muggles on the swing, but managed to keep them unaware.
Thanks bottlerocket69

Nice hike today from 13th Ave to The Mount. 26 finds in total. But mostly just awesome to be out on such a nice day!
Awesome spot and definately an excellent spot to get engaged!
TFTC and greetings from Hong Kong!

With sveppi, this morning we walk around the mount, and this afternoon we walk up the mount. We picked up most of the caches along the way but left a few behind for another day. This one was our first one for the day. Sveppi's attention was taken by a lovely rainbow right above the statue and she attempted to take good photos of it. In the mean time I started looking for the cache without using the hint and found it. It was very visible in its hiding spot so I got sveppi to pass up another branch from the beach so I could cover it better. As I was hopping back down to the beach I noticed someone coming around the corner with his attention completely taken by his phone, and walking straight for me! I pointed him in the right direction and left him to make his find
Out with fanfan-77 for a walk around the Mount grabbing various cache on the way. This was our first and I got so distracted by a lovely rainbow she found it before I really looked. Replaced with more camo. Great area TFTC
So glad I got to be into]roduced to this little place a very nice hidey hole too, even though I was climbing far too high in the first place to be anywhere near it, oops!
Beautiful afternoon and had to wait for the muggles to go but easily had cache in hand within minutes. TFTC
Called in to check on this one as I was on the Mount today to find another cache. Cache was where we remembered finding it, and is dry and in good condition, but was exposed - spotted it immediately on arriving at GZ, so left it better covered and hopefully safer from muggles. Had intended to drop a TB here but decided against it as there is a makeshift shelter on the beach closeby. Also saw a dead seal on the beach today.
Please note there were no TB's here, so the three listed as being in the cache are missing.

Went on a cache finding mission this afternoon round Mount Maunganui with tigersaurous. Oh what fun in the sun with great views, and being mid winter and mid week too, very few muggles around to bother us.
Our last stop for the day, kids had the rope swing to themselves, a great branch over hanging the beach to climb, and an easy find. tftc

Visiting NZ from the US and spending the day in Tauranga with a friend. Hiking around Mt Maunganui and picking up a few caches. TFTH!

While on a quick visit to NZ for a relatives 100 birthday we managed to squeeze in a few caches. The ones around the Mount were great for my wife as she came from here. It was also great to show the kids. We even managed to climb it
One of my brothers tagged along and he managed to find the cache pretty much straight away on his first ever attempt at caching.
Thanks heaps for the cache

While on a family holiday we took our uncle caching for the first time. As we were attempting to explain the idea of caching to him and what he had to look for he rummages around and stumbled across it almost right away, it couldn't have gone better for his first ever cache.
Thanks for the hunt!

Ofcourse there was a more easy way, but I took the way down at the spot and needed to get backup the same way as hubby was waiting on the track. hmmm
Nice hide

Awesome spot I havnt been to on the Mt before! Great place to pop the question, I went down to get this one as Mrs Kiwi looked after baby Kiwi thought I would take the straight back up approach to get back to the track bit of a challenging climb. This was my first cache on the Mount many more to come, there was no TB in the cache tho TFTC
my no.542
Being on a group excursion today, we walked around the mount. Of course, I had to log some of the caches on this track. This was the first one and it only took our youngest and me a little bit of "climbing" before we had found it.

Hand to walk passed this the first time as muggles were using the rope swing. TFTC
I took a walk over from the cruise ship Oosterdam to grab this one. This is another beautiful spot that I would not have come to if not for geocaching. I enjoyed the nearby rope swing as well! TFTC.
1st cache of many, around The Mount. Never been down beach-side before, so very much enjoyed the new terrain. Picked up a wonderful TB Souders. No other TB's in cache. Cheers bottlerocket69 for bringing me here
Yesterday 16th Feb. Great place. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place off the walking track.
Difficult to tell the tallest from the track, but after some sliding down guessed right
Greetings from Hastings. Up with the family for a few days visiting the local attractions and of course grabbing as many caches as possible. Here now in Papamoa for a few days on the beach.
Enjoying a nice walk around the Mount and gathering some more great caches.

Once we worked out a safe approach to GZ, I worked out where a possibility was and found this good size cache. TFTC!

Cache was just hanging out on the sand. Re instated it where I thought it should go. Tftc
GeoKiwiGirl and I decided to go for a walk around the mount and do a few caches along the way. This cache had us climbing, slipping, swinging and all sorts but we eventually found the right tree and not long after that the cache. TFTC.

Kids in the kids club so off the ship for a day of caching
Beautiful part of the world here.
Chose the wrong tree - this cache nearly had its first divorce as well....

Off the MS Oosterdam from Oz. Continuing caches from every port. Easy find with Avreno. TFTC SL TNLN. I Too used the same piece of beach for photos 30 years ago.
Another port of call so a quick couple of caches on the sly was the agenda while dragging along the semi enthused family. As I neared GZ it was great to spy another caching family already with the cache! Great to meet you GenCuster!
Thanks bottlerocket69 for the cache

29/11/14 13:30 With The Princess & Princess Sophie. Met a nice Aussie cacher (Darth Briji) off the cruise liner. Loads of muggles enjoying the walk around Te Maunga. Thanks. Cheers, GC.
In town off cruise ship Sea Princess from OZ. Our second time caching in Tauranga.
An easy find. Dropped TB Rainbow Bears. thanks bottlerocket69

A great find! Tarps look a little dodgey! A nice wee bush scramble for an overdue pregnant girl! An awesome day out around the Mount knocking off more caches, I think we followed another geocacher ('colleen'?) around!
Fun on the beach with my kids. No trackables in the cache even though two are logged there but found two rolled up tarps hidden with the cache.... And the still smouldering remains of a fire... A mystery?
