Sorry guys this one has been muggled HARD. Looked for ages and found the camo bag flapping in the wind over the top of the cliff. Cache has been destroyed.
Second or third time this cache has been muggled, so it's probably time to archive.
Thanks to MrRUSH742 for the tip-off, and everyone else for visiting.

I was staying in the area so headed up to find this one on a lovely sunny afternoon. Had just arrived at GZ when I heard voices approaching. It was immediately apparent that these guys were after the same loot! First time I've met other geocachers - (other than the ones I've taken along with me!). With all of us looking it was a quick find - loved the cache guardian! Thanks Lostcourse and mitsimadman. 30/365 - TFTC
Headed over to Mistmadman's place this afternoon for a visit. He had some caching planned, so out the door we went! I used to run past this spot a lot back in my Papakura days. But this was the first time I actually ventured to the top! Muggled laevergreen who was already looking for the cache. With three of us looking we soon came up with the cache. Lovely spot. Cheers for the cache placement!
Heading back from an early morning walk at the Falls & thought I'd grab a few Drury caches while in the area. What a lovely spot! Cool to find another Mr Tomato cache too - nice hides! TFTC
Found it after work today TFTC I love this place. My Nan & Pop lived over on Settlement Road Extension and Nan & I would walk here in the school holidays when I was younger (great memories)
We were in the area today so called into Pukekiwiriki to find the Traddlestick. Loved the walk up the path - great trees and very intersting rock formations. When we got to GZ we quickly spotted the cache and contents scattered over the bank. Gathered everything together, signed the log and rehid the cache in the obvious spot. Thanks for bringing us to this interesting location. We can certainly see the attraction for a Pa here - fabulous view lines in every direction.
This was my favourite cache of the day. It ticks all my boxes. Historic location, facinating walk in through the bush and rock cliffs and a great view from the top. I was the second visitor today.
Many thanks
Many thanks
I'm brand new to Geocaching so thought I would stop by this one on my walk. Awesome view from this site and finding the cache was quite easy. I have left a trinket that pays homage to the Pa site that use to be there.
Since it was such a nice morning we thought we would squeeze in a few finds. Am really glad we stopped here. The kids loved the walk up and looking at the cliffs.

Sneak a jog in the frost before day's chores.Awesome cache. Special spot, easy find so had time to take in the view. Now to figure the access to the 2 nearby caches for next time.
Maybe there is another way to GZ than the one I took?? Unsure of where to go to get to GZ, so took what appeared to be "the route" which really was like a 3.5 for terrain. Anyway, managed GZ okay, quick find for the cache and then had a quick peek at the pa site before heading back to the car. Glad to knock this one off when the ground was dry..... TFTC.
Awesome views from up here. Cache in good nick. Great location and good hide. Tftc
what great views from up here as well as GZ, expected a whole lot of sprites to decend on me while fossiking around, TFTC
Awesome cache, plenty of cool stuff to swap. Well hidden, but not too difficult. TFTC
Was a good find! Good location and hiding place and nice because it can be found without a GPS.
Great spot for a Pa, Great spot for a cache! Fantastic views across the Manukau too. Stairs were slippery from the rain but OK if you take it slow. Found the cache with no problem & was dry. T4TC
Found it with the Kids, need to be careful though with Kids, need to climb up some "stone-stairs", could be quite slippery when wet.
Good Spot though and a really awesome view . Would really recommend this Spot.

Out for a quick re visit here as it was missing last time. Found it this time and re hid it well again. TFTC
headed out with evilno9 for a day of caching and this was our first stop. And a great one to start with. Took a few minutes to work out exactly where we needed to go, and a bit of fun to get up there, but made it in 1 piece, and quickly located the find. Admired the view before carrying on with our adventure. TFTC!
Headed out into the Hunuas today with mel_ramsay and aimed to collect a few along the way before we hit the track.
Took aim at a few likely spots before figuring out where we actually needed to be. Was much easier to find after that. Great spot and great views TFTC.

Didn't have the latest updates in my Nuvi so hunted for a while for this, obviously to no avail . Great spot though, had fun climbing the tree and sending the kids on a few higher missions. Cool geology on the way up the steps - quite a fascinating area.
Cache has vanished - thanks to NZ Skyliner for the tip-off.
It looks like the council is tidying up the area around GZ, so I'll wait until Spring to replace and see what happens to the area in the mean time.

Hmmm. I'm thinking this has been well and truly muggled... All the undergrowth around the big old pine trees looked to have been recently cleared away, and what looked like the obvious hiding place at GZ contained a small bag of beer bottles and rubbish. Might pay to check it. Is a great spot though, awesome views on a beautiful evening!
Evening caching grab with Kyle891, very cool spot and some awesome big old trees around. TFTC,
Found it! Great view from the top! Never been up here before and lived in Papakura for years!!
Nicely hidden, great cache!! TFTC

Great morning out caching with the kids. We have lived in Papakura for 8 years and have never been up here. Thank you for taking us to a lovely location with amazing views.
Out for an afternoon caching trip with FMZ and our new friend, beat.meier. Quick easy find...awesome cliffs and view at the top.... TFTC!!!
Out for an afternoon geocaching with funkymunkyzone and 10centcoin who introduced me into geocaching. What a lovely place!
Fantastic spot for a cache. Great views 360 degrees. You can see why this spot was chosen to be a pa. Out for an afternoon caching with 10centcoin and our friend, beatmeier, introducing him to geocaching. TFTC!!!
What a great site. I have been passing close by for years but never knew it existed. Loved the entrance and the pa site Thanks sites like this is what I like about caching.
The views here are fantastic over huge areas of Auckland / Manukau / Papakura and beyond, however my visit was cut short as I could see a pretty heavy shower approaching fast.
Interesting site
Kumara pits and a fantastic view!!
Thx tfc and for bringing me up here!

4th of 5 finds today, and this one was fun. It's a great spot to visit, and certainly not anyplace we would have found without a GC to lead us there. Took the Fastcatch TB and left the US Flag Micro Japan geocoin. TFTC!
The path was rather slippery from a combination of rain and leaves, but I had no trouble finding the cache once I'd found the coordinates. I found it together with arndb, who deserves credit for all the driving, but unfortunately didn't have the right shoes to go up the path in the rain. The location must be gorgeous in good weather!

After a day of mostly disappointment, this was a refreshing change. We enjoyed the location and Darby says the views are terrific. Joan is limited physically from a previous geocaching accident so supported from ground level on this one. Thanks for bringing us here. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
On a cache run out Whitford/Clevedon area to take a few off the to-do list.
This is a little out of the area but picked it up on the way home. I had solved the puzzle when it was a Mystery Cache earlier and was a little disappointed when it was made into a Trad. It is quite common that Mystery Caches are less visited than Trads but should be left to give those cachers who solve them a sense of accomplishment.
Nicely hidden and nice to see some "natural steps".
Cheers for the cache.

Regarding the change from Unknown / Mystery / Puzzle cache to a Traditional cache, for Tufty or anyone else wondering:
Pukekiwiriki Pa is a special location - not just due to the outstanding view, but also because of the bit of history and interesting geology in the area, and I think it deserves an accessible cache. I liked the puzzle behind the original cache, but the bottom line is that it went over six months without any visitors! In the mean time, no-one else could place a more accessible cache within approx 150m of the unvisited puzzle final, effectively ruling out the entire vicinity of the Pa. It's my view that a cache that is very rarely visited is in no-one's best interest, particularly in a location which I believe a broad spectrum of Geocachers may find enjoyable and be pleased to discover.

Top spot for a cache. Love the rock strata. Those dudes knew how to select a good pa site! Great to see a decent size container too. TFTC
A nice big container in a nice spot - remember another trad near here - must be archived now.

Pulled up and immediately recognised this area as somewhere I had visited before so guess there used to be another cache here. But, lovely and very interesting place for sure so quite happy to re-visit and see that there is still a cache here to highlight it.

Quick and easy find. Im not sure how well covered the cache is, looks a bit obvious and I could see it from a fair way away. Cache guardian is still keeping watch. Thanks.
Knew where to look so went straight to it. Good place to spot the incoming showers today.

Got a break in the weather so headed out here, usually go running past this spot but took the car today! Took the direct approach, straight up. Had already been visited twice today. Looked at the view and took the scenic route down. TFTC.
Another place we not visited before and made our way carefully up the slippery steps. Fantastic view today on our way to GZ where we made a quick find T4TC.

Didn’t require the services of our GPS, having completed the previous puzzle here. Great views as usual.

Found it with forest fairies in the mud and (heavy) rain. It is such a great spot to see all around including rainbows today. Thanks for this cache.
It always seems to be raining when I head into this area - think I'd learn. Nice opportunity to re-visit this lovely spot though. Cheers
Mudde 1 had a cache here a few years back. The rock face is interesting.

It was a lot easier the second time around
