Been mt biking so decided to get this on the way back. Wasn't sure what the hint meant until we found it...ummm maybe. All quiet here today.
Thought this one was going to be tough with a local muggle out walking his hounds in the cemetery. Fortunately I had a think about the hint before my approach and soon had it in hand nae bother at all. Great wee hide. TFTC
Beautiful spot and a quick find. Access from the outside seemed like a better idea. TFTC!!
?? Off to Rotorua for 2 nights and a planned CITO (tomorrow) by FMZ just south of there for the GC45 celebration and a bit of a clean up. I'm taking along the usual Gorby cafe and have a pile of caches on my list needed for various challenges I'm working on.?? I didn't get the chance to visit the blueberry place, just not enough time. Was hoping to visit on the way home, but took a different route. ?? I too lament over the past... the native trees being destroyed with gay abandon, not so much the kauri disappearing here in THIS area, but obviously in Auckland, Coromandel, Northland the poor kauri was decimated. I think it would have been nice for those people to have left at least ONE huge kauri for our generation to admire. But no... as usual greed rules the times.?? Anyway, cache all good here, but me being of short stature, I couldn't lean over the fence to extract the cache, instead it became a mini bush-bash for me. Contents all good s.n. I had some fun despite some swearing involved in my maneuvers. Another FP for you today.
I grew up in Mamaku and haven't been here to the cemetery for years. An amazing historical spot in the history of this village. A nice afternoon for it too. I made a quick find thanks to your hint. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
A bit of a Russian dolls scenario here! A very well kept cache indeed! Once we made the find we entered the cemetery and paid our respects to those buried there, including my step-dads brother.
Woohooo
Walking with a friend an her dog and goat. Hahaha.
First find of the year.

Wow surprising whats history hidden on the out skirts..found all good still lots of stash available..thanks Squirrel for the interesting history
We chose the more difficult way in, but so have others judging by the trail. Cache all good and tucked away. Thanks for showing us some more of Mamaku Squirrel Nutcase
Thanks for the cache.
Was good to learn a bit more about the township. We used to live in Mamaku but have never walked down here.

Found with @peadub on a very wet day after travelling on the RailCruiser. Lots of rubbish around but located eventually. Took trackable to move on and added a trinket (Stormtrooper).
I am driving down to Rotorua for the 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday. This was a stop along the way. Left: Marko TB. TFTC.

Parked off the road, there was a track over the overgrown railway tracks.
With the help of the hint, and good co-ords, I soon had the cache.
Had not seen a cover like this one before. Happy to have found, thanks for the hide squirrel nutcase

Another lonely little cache seeing the light of day after a long sleep. Very wet inside the container. TFTC
Really nice peaceful area. Cache needs maintenance though. Pretty wet inside but still able to sign log sheet. Thanks for bringing us her. Tftc
Decided to come back to the area after some family were there remembering their lost ones. Little bit of a search but found easily enough, little bit damp. Tftc.
I was looking at my map and became slightly unhappy with the state Rotorua was in so I sent a message out to Mc Jandals who became my co-pilot for today. We were able to find all but one of the caches on my list and even ended up roping in Davidson Clan to help on the Mamaku leg of our trip. This was another quick find however upon inspection it was clear this would need a little TLC. The contents were swimming but the log wasn't too bad. We emptied and dried what we could and it's about as good as it's gonna get from us. Cheers for keeping this one going squirrel nutcase, TFTC

On a lil mish from Tauranga today with PP to clear some of the Rotorua spots. A bit overcast and showery, still it’s only water. I am logging these with a generic template on Cachly. Many Thanks to all cache owners for the placements. Cheers
Thanks tryfyn for the waterproof log sheet. Found this one fairly easily... or I should say 'The Mr' did. Nobody around today due to the rain so we had the whole place to ourselves. TFTC
Had a fair fight with the undergrowth on this one. Was about to give up when I realised I was almost standing on it. The log is mush so I dropped in a waterproof replacement. TFTC.
Dammit. Geocaching has login problems. Their authentication process is out of action. So I have no cache detail or previous logs, but I had downloaded the cache sunmmary earlier, so I do have name, location, D/T, size. I don't have the number of favourites, which might indicate how cleverly camoflaged the cache might be.
But I found it, so maybe I did not need all that! Nearby reailway is interesting. No longer in use? Check the attached photo.
Still chasing after the planets, doing my part for the Planetary Pursuit promotion. of the 500 points I need to reach Pluto, I now have over 2000. Where does that put me? The Oort Cloud?

Nice area was soggy but temp log still dry emptied water and placed back as found =)
A quiet spot and a very wet cache. Drained before returning, but could do with a day in the sun.
A very wet cache. A soaked log book, but a temp log sheet has been added.
3093 Spent a few hours in Rotorua collecting some puzzle caches I had recently solved. Had a bit of time so on the way home I did a circuit round here to collect the caches in the area. Arrived and parked. Another vehicle was parked there. Off to GZ where I spent some time searching. Eventually I got down on my hands and knees and spotted the cache about 3m away. Sonnhad it in hand. I to found the log book saturated but had come prepared with another ziplock bag and a piece of paper for a log. Left those in the cache. Thanks for the placement.
Found the cache no sweat. But it Is saturated. May need a new log that's waterproof. Or a betta container. Other then that it's a good hide. Not at all what I was expecting lol. Nice hide thanks. . Beautiful rural area. Would have Neva have come here other wise.
Took a bit to find and once opened was disappointed to find a sodden mess. I managed to leave something resembling a mark and left the cache off the ground. This cache is seriously in need of some TLC and maybe a revamp and relocation to make it less likely to get into this condition again.
Found this cache over the weekend. Sadly it was completely saturated. Tipped out as much water as possible but log was far too wet to sign. I didn't have any spare to replace so I just took a photo instead. Tftc
Was planning a big ride thru the Redwoods today but the bad weather put a stop to that, so today was drive by cache pickup day
Last cache for the day, found 3 cabbage trees, and the fourth rotting on the ground, one a change in elevation was done it was found.... off home to dry out

Steed - he leads, he bleeds, but he had passed it and I spotted it as he was backing out.
It's a good sized cache in a great spot, but it needs a dry out. I took the worst of the soggy swag, but sorry,we didn't have time to dry the logbook on the car heater as we sometimes do. Places to go, caches to find or we'll never catch up with the Iammrwalkers so we can celebrate our 3000 finds with them.

Homed in on the most likely area and soon realized that the density of undergrowth might impede progress. Before we could do any serious searching a small convoy of cars appeared and parked close by. This one will have to wait for another time.
Found on the ground upside down, consequently contents were quite damp. It's been replaced above ground in a secure spot right side up.
Not the best day to rummage around in here. I couldn't help but get wet while Mrs Tparty offered encouragement from the safety of the car. Followed the obvious trail and came up blank (of course), but saw it on the next attempt. All good. TFTC
this took alittle bush bashing to find but lucky the GPS had us in the right place
Approached from the wrong way as first. Beautiful little spot here and cache was quickly found. Tftc
This was my eighth stop of the day which would end up being a 260km round trip from Tauranga to Matamata via Rotorua, Tirau, Okororie and other small towns. Got 29 caches, a photo to complete a virtual cache and two TB's.
I had a seat to wait out a couple of muggles and as soon as I sat down this haunting moaning sound started up from in the distance somewhere, it didn't stop the whole time I was there.
I poked my head into three different spots before finding this one. Signed and replaced. Time to get out of here.
Thanks squirrel nutcase

Mamaku Centennial Gates( Bay of Plenty ) was transferred from Ghost-train to user squirrel nutcase
After finding another cache nearby we decided to find this one. It does need some TLC as it was all a bit wet but TFTC
Yay but 1 of the cabbage trees has had its heads taken off so it's 3 cabbage trees n sum sticks
Early evening visit to Mamaku to claim a couple of finds, quick stop and easy find thanks for the cache
Tricky find but got there in the end. Log a bit damp so let it dry out in the glorious sunshine. Well done and tftc
Quick find after we came to town for a ride in the railcar, nice sunny day, very enjoyable. TFTC
Thanks for the cache, extremely wet day and a few muggles riding around on motorbikes.
Another quick find here after visiting the Rail Cruising nearby. A lovely quiet little town and a nice spot for a cache. TFTC!
We drove down the wrong side of the railway line, went down the right road and saw the cemetery so knew we were in the right place.cache is all good thanks again.
Mamaku has an interesting feeling - it's like going back in time to NZ in the 1950s/60s, with a slightly lawless wild-west vibe. Cache was in good condition. TFTC!
Pulled off the main road and after stopping to get our fill of blueberry's headed of to grab the few nearby caches. Had to wait for some muggles to leave before we could go for the cache, but wandered around and checked out the headstones. Cache was found easily once the coast was clear.
Made a detour on our way to Whakatane to grab the two in this small town. Nice GZ, apart from the broken glass probably left by the party last night. t4tc
On a TB hunt for some trackables to travel to Australia with us. Took " The Priest in Green " and will see if we can find a temple for him to rest in for a while.
