Unfortunately we now live far away from the cache and cant replace it after a tree fell. Its a great location for a cache though so hopefully someone will fill the void!
After a weekend away with friends and watching the AB's win (whew that was a close one) we did a little bit of caching. No luck on this one, an Apple tree has fallen recently so not sure if that has made a difficult hide even harder.
Didn’t find this one today, felt abit dumb but there was quite a few cars passing and we looked abit suspicious haha
Once again, as it is every couple of weeks, I find myself spending the weekend in Wanganui (from Wellington), and after my real life responsibilities had been dealt with for the day I headed over to Feilding as the nearest location of geocaches I have not yet found. I had no set plan for the day other than driving around (somewhat in concentric circles) finding geocaches, and this was one of them.
No problems here as the cache was found, safe and well, exactly as described.
Thanks to iarekt for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

After lying on the ground searching we searched another hiding place and found it straight away.
Out with Itchyfeet2020 finding 50 caches today for the DGSc challenge in the West Coast. Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Iarekt.

NZ_B and I are spending the day around the Fielding area with a goal to get over 50 caches in a day for a challenge. Our journey led us here. This was a great example of how to get fixated on one obvious object (without checking proximity) and take an age to think about anything else. Two if us spent a bit searching here, but eventually found and then stopped to take in the great view. TFTC.
I didn't run up the hill but neither did I drive. I just walked. Went to the lookout and took a photo of the view and several of a butterfly I hadn't seen before but have since worked out must be a yellow admiral. Then realised I had already walked right by GZ (you'd think I would be keeping a closer eye on the GPSr but no, not this time). Not long after I found the hide. Thanks for bringing me here iarekt! Now I wonder how much longer I can walk around caching before GAR comes to collect me for the drive north and home (he's at a dog trial with the car)?
9.15am. I drove up the hill and parked at the lookout then walked down to GZ. Soon found the cache then decided the walk back to the car was enough for me - didn't need to try running up from the bottom.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
I found myself staying in Palmerston North last night, and feeling no great rush to get home today I decided to head up to Feilding to do some caching up there as it's not a place I get to often enough.
I think the weather kept enough people inside to make my search nicely uninterrupted. I made my way to GZ and spotted a very familiar object immediately. Absolutely no issues with the container or log, which is great considering how much rain we've had recently. A quick sign of the log, and it was all put back exactly as found before going back to look for another.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Found with matagouri on a new year caching trip to Feilding after a few bit of hunting around and before noticing a geotrail. Tftc.
Found out with TharntheHalken on a caching expedition around the Manawatu. Young people 'parking', but they ignored us. Bit of a search amongst alternatives, but all good. Tftc!
On our way through Fielding to Wellington. Had previously been here but too many muggles around. This time we parked the camper van to shield us and searched. Took a while to find as there are a few options. Great view. Thanks
We're all over two weeks in Level 4 coronavirus lock-down isolation. (That'd be **We're all over it!** )
These daily walks are a necessity to keep one's sanity. Today's walk brought me here. OMG that's a steep wee hill.
Oh look, I've found here a geocache too. An easy find thankfully, despite the previous two DNFs. All good here. Coordinates accurate and there's a geotrail leading right to it. No problems.
Under the lock-down there is no one around - muggles or other geocaches - so I didn't attract any attention to my activity. Picked up some nearby rubbish around GZ as well as signing the log.
Not logged until now due to pressure from fellow geocacher's interpretation of the lock-down rules. Thanks for keeping this ten year old cache active and thanks for the cache.

Beautiful day in feilding, not so good in Palmy so it was nice to get out and about in feilding for the day. This area brought back some memories from our youth. Found it with koolguy96. Thank for the cache!
A weekend trip to Manawatu with FapandGap , Squirrel Nutcase, Philip. Perry, Mcjandals, NzFlossy and Tnxpro. We signed the logs TeamBop and had an awesome weekend. Thanks to the COs for their caches.
Road trip time! This weekend Team BOP consisted of Davidson Clan, TNXPro, Squirrelnutcase, FapAndGap, McJandals, NZFlossy & myself. We'd had this trip on the cards for a while but only recently had we locked in all the details. We were off to central Manawatu and we had a very narrow list of ‘must gets’ so this trip was essentially a numbers mission. We had a great time and managed just over 200 finds. Most of the caches were found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and straight forward placements although we replaced a lot of logs and a few containers as well. A huge thank you to the CO’s as this was a beautiful area to visit and there was certainly an abundance of geocaches!!
Pretty sure we replaced the log on this one as it was getting a little manky. Cheers Iarekt, TFTC

Team BOP on tour in the Manawatu-Whanganui Region... With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, McJandals, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro.
This weekend had been in the pipeline for ages. It was always going to be a mission for various team members to get coordinated leave passes... We secured accommodation in the rural heart of the Manawatu. This placed us well within reach of a massive trail of caches... We travelled in one vehicle, so our journey was filled with lots of laughs, and good times... Fortunately, the majority of caches were in place and were fairly quick to locate - thanks to straightforward hints and great coordinates. Many of the caches had not been found in a while, so containers were waterlogged, and logbooks were wet... Thank goodness for waterproof paper. A huge thank you also, to the various COs who made our weekend worthwhile... TFTC.

Team BOP decided that with the MEGA rapidly approaching, we need to boost our numbers so we could try for a milestone number at the Mega. I am approaching my 3000th cache but was still about 325 caches away from that. Reaching the milestone may or may not happen, but this weekend certainly was about the numbers. I had an initial target I was trying to beat and that was my highest number of caches found in one day and we comfortably beat that, achieving 158 caches (subject to confirmation, once I log them all).
The best way to do the high numbers is with power trails and out here, there is a smorgasborg of powertrails.
We loaded up the van, gathered up all seven of us and headed to our accomodation somewhere in the middle of nowhere, getting there well after dark. The location was convenient, as it was right in the thick of a power trail territory.
There was no splitting us up, as we only had one vehicle, so we all experienced the cache locations, some beautiful and some not so.
As with powertails we have done in the past, there was a high proportion of waterlogged caches, but unlike powertails we have done previously, we managed to find every cache and were glad to be able to clear out an area. Also, with powertails, comes cut and paste logs, to which I apologise for.
Thanks to all those CO's who have placed the caches out there. Without you, our fun road trips wouldnt exist. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend and got home completely shattered. It was so worth it.

On a road trip with Team BOP to Feilding. Set off Friday night and back home Sunday. Lots of caches and lots of laughs with great weather and great scenery. Thanks to all the COs for giving us a awesome trip
On a road trip with Team BOP, having a blast and gathering a few smileys along the way. Please excuse generic logs in advance. Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Cheers
We are visiting Feilding for a few days for a grandson's birthday, and hoping to find a few caches while we are here. Today has been so full of birthday activities that it wasn't until after dark that we were able to head out to find our cache-of-the-day to keep our almost 5 year streak going. Earlier we had made the mistake of thinking the cache was at the lookout, and driving off when there were cars parked close by. But on checking our GPS (doh) we realised it was actually 30m away, so it was time to return. All quiet at the lookout this time, and a lovely view of the lights of the town. We parked our camper near GZ and soon spied the container in the torchlight. We were just finishing signing when a car came past, and a friendly Feilding local asked if we were okay. Told them we were just playing a game and had found what we were looking for. TFTC.
Come out here to Fielding today to pick up a few more caches to help in my effort towards getting all of the caches here in Fielding. Its going to take a few more trips to get the all.
I park up near the look out and walk over to were the GPS place the cache and found it quickly it must have been put back

couldn't find it, searched for a good 20 mins with 3 of us looking in bushes and down the ditch
#9343. Nice view of Feilding. Got to the lookout and a car was already parked there. Waited a little before they drove off. Went out to admire the views from different directions. GZ itself was all quiet when we visited. Found after a short search. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Found it.yay! This is my third attempt here. Every other time I had been here there were cars parked up. So this time I parked up. Ate some lunch and finally the girl in the ute drove off. Quickly ran in and grabbed cache, signed and returned before another car could come. Tftc
Easy find with ohgummon and rihiatamaki but not too pleasant in the rain. Swapsies are available in the cache. TFTC
A stop to find a cache after Portland's meet and greet this morning.
But no luck with this one . Found a likely looking spot and no people in site but no luck today.

Hi, came to Feilding today for the second round of the Suzuki Summer Series. Great hiding spot. Thanks.
Playing in a squash tournament at the nearby courts... Was planning on a bit of caching in the local area but the rain hasn't stopped for the last couple of days so a couple is all I managed today.
This was a short 300m up the hill - not a muggle in sight - so was a QEF.
Carried on up to the lookout for a look over the hazy view.

My first geocache. Thank you. I have walked the dog up here for years as a muggle and gone straight past it. Cache & book OK, left a baby panda, took nothing
