Found a likely hide but no joy- have messaged CO.
17/20 today- out of water and out of puff! It’s been a grand adventure tho!

Hmm. Found this one perched precariously on top of kawakawa foliage, like it had been thrown there. Once signed, tucked away under a bit of cover. All good inside container, tftc!
Out and about with MightyMicra now we are well into Level 2 and things are getting back to normal. NIce hide! Gloves and sanitiser in use whilst handling the log. TFTC.
Great hide object. Thanks for the hide. Out caching with RedEcho who was 2nd to this one.
Located this one during a cache raid of Wellington chasing TMTG caches. No problem with the find. Cache in good order. TFTC.
Found this also on our TA thru-hike. This cache took a while because, contrary to the description, it is NOT accessible from the path and requires a little bit of wandering off trail to recover.
Awesome idea. We are inspired and might make a similar geocache like yours down where we live in Wellington. TFTC
Taking a stroll from the campground. Nice hide but beware if you don't like slaters!
One of four located on a bike ride in the wider area on a warm Sunday afternoon. Found reasonably quickly considering the number of places it could have been. Inundated with woodlice who had made the inside of the “outer container” home! #2312. TFTC.
Found on a walk up part of Te Araroa and back via the Inland Route.
Cache was easily found but came with a whole lot of lice and a nesting spider on the hiding item!
TFTC.

Wandering through the surrounding area today, collecting caches as I go. Another tricky find that took a while to spot the camo. All safe and dry here. TFTC
I woke up this morning to find that that the rain predicted for the day was nowhere to be seen. And so the day I thought was going to be spend lounging around doing nothing turned into a very nice day spent wandering around Queen Elizabeth Park and Raumati, collecting caches I had wanted to try for, and a few Puzzle Caches I had worked out a while ago. QE Park in particular is a place I hadn't been too for such a long time. I had forgotten about the Tram being there!
So I was happy enough to just work my way along following the road from the main entrance, towards the coast and then see where it all led to. I decided to take the coastal walking track heading south, as the views out towards Pukerua Bay and Mana Island were splendid!
This was the third cache I found along the track from this CO. Arriving at GZ my heart dropped initially, only because I'm not a huge fan of tree-based caches, but I did as the Hint suggested and soon enough spotted something that looked a little out of place. Sure enough, it was the hide. Very nicely done. And because I was in natural cover, I was able to do the necessary admin out of sight from any passing Muggles. When all done, the container was returned to its hide ready for the next intrepid seeker.
So thanks for placing this cache, and encouraging me to explore this part of the park.

I came down off the inland track along a really nice path that I've never been along before, didn't take me too long to find it, slaters welcomed me too, log book sodden and unable to be written on, needs replacing, I added a scrap of paper in a little plastic bag temporarily
Today, finally, there was the opportunity to seek out GC46. Preferably since I got the idea of going to New Zealand on vacation, I dreamed of getting a trip to this area. In addition to the GC46, there were 4 founds along the beautiful path in great terrain. On the way back to Palmy again, there was also a short stop in Queen Elizabeth Park and two new founds there. Thank you to all co for the gc’s
We were up-graded to an earlier sailing across Cook Strait so we had some spare time to go for a walk in QEII park on a really nice day. This was our first find. The slaters really like this cache. The log book is past it's use-by date, it is mush. Just managed to leave our stamp and a faint indent for the date.
I tried a few approaches without success, but a couple of previous logs gave me some pointers and when I approached from a different direction, I spotted something that looked out of place, and soon revealed the vast quantity of slaters, but also the cache. TFTC
GPS wasn't great, took us a while. Once we found the easy way in we found it quickly.
A quick find this time and a great container. Perfect for this spot. Slaters have moved in and its damp but could still write on it and I really enjoyed a lovely walk.
Cripes - took a while! Tried the "few metres in" approach as per the description but ended up being about 8-10 metres in before we came across it.
A straightforward find on my afternoon stroll. Log is very damp but still able to sign it TFTC
11/2/17 - our first find on a sunny walk, this one could've been anything but after ignoring the geotrails I managed to seek it out. Good hide tftc
Only found two geocaches while tramping through the park! We were booking it though to beat any rain to our destination. This one took a few minutes to find!
ON the bike for a quick tour of the park. This was one of the caches found Nice camo. Thanks.
A day to get from Wellington to Whanganui. Time to find a few little boxes....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

GPS is somewhat imprecise here and the hint is a non-hint. A log entry gave me a clue about what mindset to search with then found it quickly after that. Disturbed a moderately large spider in the cache hide then about 20 muggles went by in quick succession.
Crikey - was running in circles here, Searched where the GPS took me then after searching for a considerable time 9and getting spotted by a muggle) saw other logs saying it was 10 metres out - widened the search to no avail. But I will be back!
Clever hide! Saw and dismissed hiding place a couple of times before thinking to investigate. TFTC
Taupata's one of my fav NZ plants, able to grow low in unfavourable areas, and tall in better places… looks medium here. TFTC.
Family caching tour @ the queen on a beatiful day [^] : I was looking for this before without luck, today we just seeked and we found

1631 Out from Wellington to collect a few caches in the park. 1st for the night.
TFTC. Second cache of the day, and 910m accrued towards the distance component of the DGSC. Had to wait out several groups of muggle cyclists whilst searching. Good to see the tracks being used though!
Great find on a lovely day geocaching in QEII Park. Thanks for the caches around here. All in good order.
TFTC. 3\3 on our first day out! My boys are loving this. Thanks for the great hiding place. Left Cartesian Diver kit for someone with a science-inclined kid; took tiki.
Found while out working in the dunes on the hunt for boneseed and other coastal weeds. A known cache spot from previous weed searches by the crew, nice to get a find on the job, TFTC!
This was the cache that took me the longest to find. Lots of muggles suddenly appearing, and the GPSr read 10m when I found the cache. Relieved to rock this off to keep today's record intact. TFTC.
Light was fading when I went after this one, but after five-to-ten minutes searching, starting at the wrong end of the grove, I found the cache. I can see how there would be katipo spiders in this area but thankfully they left me alone. Tftc.
Totally got caught by another cacher. I am useless at stealth. Must have dropped a pen nearby too so attached photo of cache. Not a spoiler photo
#1196. I had decided to walk back along the beach for a bit and then popped back inland to pick up this cache. When I turned the corner there was a muggle and 2 dogs standing right next to the taupata grove. I stopped and mentioned to him it was a nice patch of bush. I sort of expected him to move on but he didn't. I dawdled a bit then suddenly his partner emerged from the shrubbery from the direction of the cache and looked rather embarrassed to see me. A quick recovery saying she couldn't find any sign of the ball... Well I decided to move on and wait. Looking back she snuck back in again to get something. Bit of a laugh. Waited a bit longer then returned and headed into the same spot. Soon saw a likely cache hiding spot and there was the container. Log all dry and no it was not signed in a while (I now see from reading the previous log that they were geoachers I had sprung, and they had lost their pen). Emerged from the trees luckily with no one around. TFTC
Took me a little while to get to the correct spot - I think I took the instructions a little too literally. The greatest moment of this cache find was spotting my first ever Katipo spider INSIDE the cache hide! Wow, I have never seen one of these in the real, but we were always warned about them as kids when on the beaches at QEII or Raumati. I did of course take the utmost care, as well as trying not to frighten or disturb it too much. Chuffed at the bonus find.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Another quick find this afternoon in this cool little spot in the park. Heaps of muggles out today so stealth was the key. SL TFTC
A nice hide gets a favourite point from me. We thought we might have seen pheasant in the area. Not sure if that's likely, and I haven't had a chance yet to research whether such game birds might be residing in the park. Pretty cool if they are! Tftc, and also for the series ... We're very much enjoying the walk ... A mini power trail of sorts!
A nice spot and on the way to the GZ flushed out a pheasant who quickly flapped off up the hill. DjalDjinn pinned down the correct spot and I was still getting untangled from the low-branched trees.
Beautiful day for a walk today in QE2 park. Parked at South end and walked the inner track to mackays crossing parking then walked back on the coast track. Cache itself quickly found. Quite a bit of water inside but log dry in its double bag. Signed and replaced. Thanks for the cache.
Found quite quickly today while taking a visitor from Helmsley, North Yorkshire for a walk in our lovely QE park. What a great asset this park is; easy walking along this track with great views. Nice and sunny today, not much wind, perfect day for a walk in the park. Tftc.
Greetings from Devon in England. Travelling north, camping locally then to Kapiti Island before heading to New Plymouth. Quick find, all's well.
Found while biking the coastal track - enjoying the sunshine, views and geocaching. Quite a complex area to look in, and the hint was no help at all - however it was soon found to my relief, thanks bkj97!
Thanks for the cache! found on a lovely sunday afternoon! took a bit of searching around!
Tried to find this one a year or so ago but no luck! Found today with LCBuilder a good 10+ meters away from where the coordinates point to. Nicely done cache
Cache # 1,889 - Expected a quick find based on some of the previous logs. Not to be. Spent 15 minutes at the sight, before reading the cache description again and deciding that the GPS wasn't pointing to the right spot. Sure enough a survey of the surrounding area uncovered the cache 10 metres away from the consistent GPS spot. Wonderful hide, cache in good shape. TNLNSL. TFTC! Did with Astro Hunter and Violet Butterfly.
Found today with The Wandering Dragons and Violet Butterfly. Almost got run down by some cyclists going by. Fortunately Wandering Dragons put their hands on the cache.. Swapped a trinket. Thanks!

Aim of today's walk was to install a new logbook, double bagged, at the COs request. Removed some local resident beetles from the camo cover but guess they will be back.
Found this one - and then once I got home I saw it is unavailable ???
Having said that, I did note that the log is nearly unserviceable
Absolutely love the creativity behind the cammo:) Makes this one a favourite.

Left one of my 264 cache logs in a small plastic bag. Hopefully that should do the trick, but some silica will also help. Cheers
