The park is under renovations so a check might need to be done in a month's time
We were staying overnight in Merredin, and this cache beckoned. I do not usually do well with caches on tanks, guns etc and this was no exception. I used the hint and ended up smelling very botanical. Anyway, I found the cache and the hint seemed to be more of a hindrance than a help. I am no expert on gun parts though. Got there in the end. Woo Hoo.
This took way longer than it should have, perhaps it was tucked in a bit too far. Managed to spot it from the right angle. TFTC WanderingAus
Cache in good condition.
This is my 2846 find.
Thank you WanderingAus for placing and maintaining this cache.
Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
(I’m not a geologist I just like puns)
Parked near here to complete an adventure lab spot and just after the museum opened we had a quick look and got the cache in hand.

Joined in on the fun heading out into the Wheatbelt for some camping with caching friends.
Left early Saturday morning and managed to get up the hill and well on the road by the time the sun came up.
The goal for the first day was to pick up a couple of new LGA’s and meet up at Baladjie Rock to set up camp and grab the new cache there.
Sunday started a lot slower and after packing everything stopped once for a cache while getting home in time to spend the afternoon with the kids.
Fantastic couple of days away had me walking in the door with 27 finds, 16 adventure labs and 0 DNF’s.

On the way back from our little roadtrip to east we picked up some caches. I was looking for the cache from the wrong spot first but made the find after looking for a bit wider, tftc!
Just to make it clear -THE HINT IS CORRECT, and so is the Description. The Description has been changed to reflect this.

On a road trip around the wheatbelt areas of Western Australia for a few weeks. We are enjoying the many friendly towns along the way, whether staying in the CP’s or camping out. So far, we have found every cache that we have looked for, and hopefully our streak will last as we move around to the next town and beyond. Thank you so much to the CO’s of every cache for placing them for our enjoyment. They certainly bring you to many spots that you might not stop at otherwise.
Nice quick find while the other half was at the visitors centre.

On another LGA run on my way to the Wave Rock. My first find today and first in the Shire of Merridin.
Hello can you please check this one as the museum man said he couldn’t find it either
Thanks heaps
Thanks heaps
So happy to turn this into a smiley; I spent about 20 minutes looking for it some months ago, dropped by with some friendly muggles today and found it in seconds TFTC
A day caching in Northam, Meckering, Cunderdin, Tammin, Kellerberrin and Merredin, before heading around through Nungarin, Kununuppin, Trayning, Yelbeni and Wyalkatchem to the event in Minnivale. Weather was glorious and it was a DNF free day. Caching at its best. Thanks for your contribution to a great day.
Found whilst heading out to Marvel Loch. A nice easy find after stopping in to the bakery. TFTC
Out and about in the Wheatbelt today flogging around finding caches.
Quick and easy find here. The hint helped heaps! Cheers WanderingAus!

I had left this one until I visited the museum and today was that day. Great history in here. i recommend a visit. Once I was full of new knowledge I made the quick find. TFTC
Came up to grab a few bits and pieces from Geotrakka as she cleans out an old family warehouse. Reticulation parts always come in handy when you are on acreage. anyway grabbed a few caches while Im here and im happy to say that i spotted this little sucker TFTC
Back home for a few days - Ive been looking forward to grabbing a few smilies in 6415. This was a nice hide - the smell of rosemary filling the air. Thanks for placing this cache for is to enjoy. I signed and replaced as found.
Hi WanderingAus, found “WanAus 136 - Merredin Howitzer” today on the way out to get some wheatbelt LGA caches with Morgo. Decided it was time to knock off the northern wheatbelt LGAs after signing a wheatbelt challenge cache in Kulin last weekend. Planned a 1000km round trip for 13 LGAs today!

Probsty and I hatched a plan to knock off the northern wheat belt LGA’s after signing the Regional Cacher Challenge in Kulin. Not a bad effort, with 1000kms of driving on a cool winter’s day.
Woo hoo! These codes are piling up.
Morgo the geo found WanAus 136 - Merredin Howitzer.

Time to reminisce about many, many hours spent in the helo (helicopter) while on deployment with the RAN. There is a fair collection of military equipment at this museum, and then a spot of fun finding the cache. TFTC ️
I early morning: I looked for a while; a caretaker turned up to a silent alarm so I gave up!
The final day of our drive to Perth and whilst it has been enjoyable doing all the caching over the last few days, it was going to be nice to finally reach our destination. With everything organized, we were on our way again, stopping at plenty of caches along the way. There were a lot of nice little country towns along this part of our drive, and the section from Coolgardie through to Perth is one that is worth taking the time to explore at a leisurely pace. As the day wore on, we finished up with the caching side of things and made quick time towards our destination. Another enjoyable day of traveling with all caches found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Couple of trips around the site before it occurred to me there was spots I had missed and the location of the cache was if course the last place I looked (isn't it always) TFTC
Out with SVKR_WA Kyzabra and Granett for a road trip around the wheatbelt covering over 2k on a few days. This one was nabbed on the stretch home.
