Today was our final day in the south-east, as I did a few sinkhole and cave dives, and then geocached for the afternoon and upon my return to Adelaide. I geocached around Tantanoola checking out the town and tiger, before heading back and geocaching around Millicent, stopping at a few of the Commurra Bus series on the way through to Kingston S.E., and then making a brief stop in Meningie.
I found this cache whilst I was preparing to scuba dive at Fossil Cave, and it turned out to be archived quite a few months ago. I've collected the contents and container, and I am happy to pass back to the CO if they desire. Refer to a few photos of the final logbook, thanks.

While planning for our holidays last year I started doing Pocket Queries for this area. I guess I never received the note to say this one was archived. Anyway it popped up on our GPS today as we were passing so we called in.
The cache is still there so we signed the log and re hide it again.
It was a very cool spot to stop and have a look around.

You really gotta look for this one as the greenery is beautifully over grown. What a great "Welcome to SA" - reminded me of why I love this place so much. TFTC
Found on the way to Millicent. Never even knew there was a cave here. Will be back in the warmer weather to look at it again
Very cool spot. Wandered down into the cave area (but that was as far as we went). Would not have even known about it if not for this cache. Thanks for bringing us to this spot. Tftc
Amazing place, the water is so crystal clear hard to know where the edge is. Thanks for getting us to eventually stop here after driving past it for the last 30+yrs with out stopping. TFTC
an absolutely lovely morning to be out geocaching with hevwalker.
interesting spot to visit.
easy find.

Suscoe had a terrific day caching to the west on Mount Gambier today.
It was cloudy for most of the day with a cool breeze to keep everything nice and temperate.
We found 40 caches in total which was a lovely number on a beaut day.
Well another interesting place to visit and we enjoyed reading what needs to be done before enetring this special place.
Thanks to jgc3 for this hide.

Never seen this type of Geo container, ad placed in an interesting place, thnks!
Staying in Mt Gambier for a few days of relaxation with the hubby and geokids (age 4 & 6). Naturally I had to pick up a few caches in this cache filled town! This morning the kids and I were up early and hubby was feeling a little crook so we thought the Tantanoola cave would be worth a visit. We stopped here after the cave. Hidden caves everywhere! Very cool. A quick find here - thanks for highlighting another awesome spot. Cave diving allowed here too (obviously there are rules) but just so cool! Thanks heaps
Almost a year late to log this but better late then never, right?
Was heading back to Kookaland after a day in Mt Gambier and stopped top grab this on the way, had a nice exploration in the wrong area first of course but we found it shortly after.

Been down to Mt Gambier with Ride The Tiger and thought we would stop and check out the cave and grab a cache.
Awesome cave and glad see no bees or snakes about, even though it was a nice warm afternoon.
Then down to business........found the nice sturdy cache, signed the log and replaced safe and sound as found.
It gets a fave point from us just because we had lovely company and it was an interesting looking cave,
Thanks jgc3 for placing this cache.

Another great weekend with my geofamily, plenty of miles and smiles with a few geocaches found along the way.
No bees, just a bad smell from something that will be a fossil in a couple of thousand years. Another interesting location, I'd love to be able to take a dive here.
Thanks for the cache JGC3.

Day 4 of our trip to Mount Gambier and we all (Moneydork, Tounga, sushilord and I) had the whole day to cache while slowly heading home...slowly because there are sooo many caches to find
All up, I had 53 cache finds and 3 DNFs for the day.
Another very interesting cave spot, although there was a pretty non interesting smell emanating in places! Something died in there, somewhere
It would be soo cool to be able to go underwater in the caves and look around!
Cache found easily, too

Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a relatively quick find of a well hidden cache. The cache and its contents were in good condition. Thanks iqc3 for the cache.
On my way home from Mt Gambier to Mt Barker with granddaughter Spanner111 caching all the way.
I have traveled past this cave many times but never stopped here before so thank you jgc3 for giving me a reason. BTW The rock was rockin' TFTC.

TFTC. Found on our second attempt, this time with team Manclan! Have now learnt that it pays to read instructions!
We went and looked in the most likely spots, no cache.
After admiring the cave I went off and started a proper look and sure enough there it was.
Thanks jgc3

I want to dive through here!!!! While I was mooning around the fossil cave, peering into the cold water and trying to find fossils, The Marble was off searching for the cache, which she found after exploring the cave a bit with me too. Great spot, would never have known this was here. Almost didn't stop, either, as we thought the entrance to the parking area was somebody's private driveway! TFTC, JGC3. =^.^=
Awesome. Thank goodness for geocaching or I would not have known about this spot. Thanks JGC3.
Found on our "Making Memories" tour of Mainland Australia.
Today we travelled to Mount Gambier with whitewebbs using geocaching as our guide.
Many thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining caches for our enjoyment.

Found this cache with Tassie Trekkers while heading to Mt Gambier. Thanks for showing us this spot as would not have stopped otherwise. The water in the sinkhole was so clear. Left pathtag. TFTC
Enroute from the 2014 OZ Mega to our next overnight stop in Portland Mrs one-eyed and I stopped again by the side of the busy highway.
Found the cache okay , a really interesting spot.

Our youngest insisted he point his torch into the cave for reasons known only to himself. He didn't want to leave the top step so made his mother go point the torch! We saw water! Surprise! TFTC
We were heading for Adelaide and spotted this area on the map, We stopped simply to look at the amazing geological formation and realised there was a cache here. We were amazed at the colour of the water. Thanks for placing the cache here JGC3.
Have driven this road hundreds of times and never knew there was a cave here. Stopped with Madham02 on our way to the Mount to get this cache. This was the last number I needed for the SA,s A-Z, 0-9 geocaching challenge so I am pleased about that.
There were 2 cars in the carpark so we think there were a couple of divers in the cave.
Thanks for the cache jgc3 and for bringing us here.

Find 8 of 20 on a roadtrip to Mt Gambier with CT_ZA.
It was quick find after using the hint.
Unfortunately the flies kept us from exploring the cave a bit further.

Apologies for the generic log but we did a few trails and some of the Mountopoly series. We also did most of the BLE series.
The mozzies were full on at times and it rained most of the first day.

Visiting Millicent for the space event and visiting family for a few days we did some caching while we were here, this was a beautiful spot to visit and yes we did go down the stairs, who could resist that : ) the water is so clear and just looking in the holes in the wall was awesome, i didn't read the description so we spent a bit of time looking before finding the cache, this is what i really love about caching, i would have never stopped here if it wasn't for this hobby TFTC and Thank you for bringing us here : )
TFTC. Had a great day caching around the Mount today with Symonds 6. Had to travel to Tantanoola to retrieve one from the Mountopoly series, so collected a few more on the go.
We couldn't believe that this wasn't signposted either. Mr Frog favourite of the day

Found this one previously (when it was in the old location), but obviously didn't log it (so what's new?). Good think I came here to show the feature to Mal64 - means I can now log it!
Nice spot, pity about the weather. Would have been nice to look around more.
Wind and rain bit off putting.
Drive past here all the time and never stopped in.

Found with my friend iDax on the second last day of my holiday. What an amazing place - funny that there are no markings on the highway to indicate what is there. Cache was a nice easy find.
FTF the replaced cache D which we are stoked about since we reported it missing a couple of months ago. Beautiful location with some muggles diving. TFTC D
We are pretty sure this one has gone missing. We are sure we found the spot it was suppose to be in as there were smaller rocks scattered in the same area. Please check and replace...
I thing this ones gone. Found where it seemed the cache was only the rocks were spread about. Might need checking
Was a bit hesitant going in to the long grass, but managed to find the cache easy enough.
After finding the cache, we went to have a look at the cave/sink hole area, saw some steps
leading down in to the sink hole and geowife wanted to have a look around.
But just we walked towards the steps I JUMPED BACK VERY QUICKLY!!! a large brown snake
sun baking at the bottom of the steps.
Scared the hell out of me, so that ended our exploration of the Sink hole.
