looks like the wind may have created some havoc with this one. Found the spot but nothing attached. A big branch had also broken off at the same spot.
It seems this one has gone missing along with a nearby branch.
Will replace next time I'm in Clayton which may not be until the Spring sorry!

Found the spot where it was supposed to be attached but it had gone; so had a big branch next to it.
Found during a tour of Strathalbyn, Finniss, Clayton and Milang. Spotted it finally, then took the opportune moment to take on the challenge of retrieval. Thanks for the cache Turner Gang!
A day out today wih Braveheart17 and a couple of electric sk8boards. Cruised around to all the caches in this area. Loved the tracks, the views and the brilliant hides {most of them!}. Cool little town and a nice cafe for lunch. Thanks for the adventures today. Sorry, didnt climb today due to slipperyness. Will be back.
On a day out with WattsUp13. I had done 4 of the caches sometime ago but brought WattsUp this time. On our trusty electric sk8 boards, we toured around this cool town to find the rest. Great, thoughtful caches, great views and some nice tracks to hone our sk8 skills. Thanks to all for a fantastic day out. No prob finding this one but it was soon after a shower of some heavy rain. The tree was VERY slippery so we decided against the climb today but will be back.
What a find... someone was up there looking for a Frisbee.... so I made use of their "trip" and got them to toss me the cache!
Happy Birthday Andrew! and TFTC

Our last find while in Clayton to cache and strait after visiting our friends. When we arrived first time around there were muggles galore, so we went to our friends then returned later to a clear coast. Took a bit of effort but got there in the end

Well that was easier than it looked at first!
Some kids arrived while I was up there - I wonder what they thought to see me coming down out of the tree...

Found last sat, Not a bad effort my wife said for a 67 year old. TFTC Very good hide.
Geo-husband retrieved this one Not for the faint-hearted or those unwilling to climb. Easy to spot from ground so GOOD LUCK! Worth a Favourite for being different. TFTC
After a successful trip for Victor Harbor Football Club mini colts to win against Strathalbyn we had time for lunch at Clayton and some caches.
This one took some time. Nice one!

When we saw the terrain rating, we were pretty sure where the cache would be. Luckily, the family that was close by having a picnic decided to leave as we got to GZ. Also luckily, our wives stayed in the car (as suggested by the cache description).
All that was left was drawing straws for who would retrieve it. GDOA lost.

My brother was able to climb the tree but I thought that it was too high for me.
[B)] Found it.
Just out of reach for these "old f..ts" will come back with a ladder !!!! Good hide,

deenifty did the climbing while I did the signing! Glad to have this one out of the way!! Thanks Turner Gang!!
Loki laughs in the face of special equipment - ha ha ha (see exhibit A GC2VPV6). This was a quick find and no problems with retrieval. Nice to add a high terrain cache to this trip. My favourite for the area [^]. Thanks The Turner Gang
And up it was! Luckily we had a very agile Loki in our group who did the deed and threw the logbook down to the less agile members on the ground who signed the log. Then back up to Loki who replaced the cache. Nice hide. TFTC The Turner Gang.
Found the location, could see the cache, but now how do I get to it. Oh well i was good at climbing when i was young. I got to a spot and thought i don't think im going to reach it, but stretched as far as i could to push it up and out and then it was in my hand. I signed log with a big sigh of relief and a big smile as i had done it. Now to get down.
three monkeys left at home today so sent shaved ape for this one. great hide/not hide!! i took a seat and relaxed and thought of the life insurance policy...... hmmmmm i wonder how many more i can find like this one? only joking! loved the cache. added a fav point.
We'd had to drive by this to Fair Shake due to the muggles playing on the nearby equipment. With them now gone it was time for geoD to relive his youth and claim the prize. Not even a splinter under the fingernail could deter him.
Success!

We came, we saw, unfortunately Mrs bregor was there, health insurance ok, but the lawyers fees may be doubtful, the cache remained untouched by us. Can you hire cherry pickers in Clayton?
Thanks to the The Turner Gang for brining us to the nice park.

We came, we saw it up there! Hmm now do I try & get it or dont I? Would I rather a nice spa suite for the weekend or a hospital bed?
Nah, maybe next time. TFTC

Distracted wife and zipped towards cache. Always the dilemma with these - sign where found or get to a safer location? TFTC Turner Gang
Replaced cache, went to check on it and there it was gone!
Is now visible from ground level if you're about 10m from the tree to the WNW...

On a day of geocaching with my pommie friends "peeneff". Before I could say Jack Robinson Mr "peeneff" was up and away and quickly had the cache in his hands. TFTC.
I really enjoyed this one, and the impromptu shots taken in my direction while I was up there. Lucky Bruce only had a camera and not a rifle!
No problem for Brucie - good views from up there. thanks Andrew of The Turner Gang - came back the next day with Shonky and got a photo to post to this log.
Headed down to Port Elliot for the Seaside Three Event and of course grab some caches on the way down and the way home
Spotted it from the ground - do I give it a go - sure, wasn't that hard. TFTC.

We timed this right - nobody to be seen. When we returned soon afterwards there were children, Mum and Grandma at the playground. I'm not sure what plausable excuse there might be for a 62-year-old Grandpa to be climbing a tree! He enjoyed it though. Thank you.
Thanks for putting this one back D
You'd think a 50yo overweight man would know better than to go climbing around near to playgrounds.
Luckily there were no kiddies to scare.
It was a warm arvo, but being near water keep the temp bearable. I was in short and sleeveless top and still have stratches and rashes 2 days later.
TFTC The Turner Gang - I enjoyed it.

A fresh log book at Cached Up!
Nice job at GZ, if that comes out, you'd be quite upset!

It's back up. Up being the operative word.
This version of the cache is a lot easier to spot from ground level. Hope it lasts!

You can come down now - I think this one's been muggled by a very tall or agile or inquisitive muggle.
Or possibly gravity. What a downer.
Will replace next time I'm in town - looking like late November, sorry!

It is pity that I am not a monkey. [:o)] I tried to spot a cache from the ground but I could not find it. Thanks for the hunt.
Don't forget to have a look and see if I missed the cache - or if indeed it is gone. )
Also, don't forget I know where the Turner shack is now - so keep the coffee pot hot during holiday times. )

I’ve never been much of a tree climber. As a child/youth, I had a fear of heights. I blame my mother for moddle-coddling me and instilling the fear. For some reason today I had a bit of bravado and headed up. It really is quite an easy tree to climb. BUT …. Bugga! I found a piece of Velcro screwed to the tree, and assume that’s where the cache should be. Bugga! This took me out of my comfort zone for no reward. Oh well.
Like the Turner Gang, I found the cache attaching mechanism. Damn high up.[xx(] Waldron watched on while I carefully attached a [green]green carabina. [/green] How long this will last is anyone's guess. [:o)] It is a tricky spot with a lot of friction. I was glad I had friction and so was Waldron. No blood or scratches. Just a sore foot. Clear skies!
Astro went up the tree and did his thing, while I stayed on the ground apparently as help if he fell.

No luck with this one today, managed to nail the terrain and get to the cache after a long wait for the muggles to leave only to discover the attaching mecanisim without a cache .
Climbed down, hell bent on a find so decided to replace the cache as I knew from the cache page what type of container should have been up there.
Got to the car only to find I didn't have a spare in my kit bag Sorry Turner Gang, couldn't help out this time, so stuck with a DNF
Thanks anyway
Cheers ansd Happy Hunting from Southern Cross Caching

Went through the checklist and answered no to most, but decided to do it anyway. As I was on my own left everything on the ground and only took a pencil with me. Wasn't going to climb down then up again. When found signed log while hanging onto a branch. Made it back down safely so no need for lawyers. TFTC.
No health insurance required today as we had the nescessary climbing equipment TFTC

Deployed the secret weapon - Monkey Boy - He did the necessary work, well done, dropped it down for us to sign. Now if you are interested in reading some logs about tree climbing, take a look at GCR2GG in Victoria - We were in the bunch of people in on the group assult of the cache, caused a bit of an uproar from the owner of the cache, but like today there are some hides we can't all get to, and deploying assistance is required.

This one seems to have come unstuck. I won't be in the area for a few weeks, sorry.
Should be back on line by ANZAC Day.

Along with Burt96 we searched high (where it should have been) and low (where it may have fallen to) but with no joy. After having two blokes with only average fitness up a tree and me on the ground playing spotter, we located a very ingenious spot that was clearly the home for the cache. One day when you search for it, you will understand why . We were disappointed it wasn't there, but have to admit that it was one of the most nifty hides we have (almost) seen, and it is true, from one angle, even from the ground I could see where it was supposed to be sitting.
Congratulations on your ingenuity Turner Gang!

We searched for a while at this one, and eventually found the spot where it is supposed to be. No sign of it
Can I really say that this was an easy find but I got it anyway.

Climbed too high. I got to about 7m up then spotted the cache beneath my feet. Nich views.
Didn't have the notes so didn't think to look up the tree. Coordinates took us to the middle of a grassy patch so after a bit of a arbitrary look around gave up until we could consult the notes later.
Anyone else have problems with the coords or is my GPS playing silly games?

This one had the girls stumped but grabbed geo-hubbies who were a bit braver than us and with a Probi1-kenobi & Sensational team member, cache was in hand in no time! Awesome hide, excellent to see something a little different.

Nice to get a little extra exercise today, but I was expecting it to be higher
Still lots of fun though thanks Andrew.
