TFTH. Lovely part of the world, the water is so clear. Bring a fishing rod! Found with Braddo8.
I don't know if this should be in a container or not but only a snaplock bag and log remain TFTC
Quick cache to find, although it was very worse for wear definately still needs work done to fix it. But other then that was an awesome cache to find in a great area TFTC with LukeV
This one has been muggled. We were able to find the remains of the log. We put this into a new plastic bag. We also put a new page in to be used as the temporary new log. I will log this as needs maintenance. A nice spot. [:o)] A Scouts Australia Competition
This has been muggled. We have tried to rectified for the next caches as best we could.
Another good find in the area.
Found the cache remains mentioned in the last log - needs a new container & log though!

Beautiful views going out! Finally found the cache but it had been muggled. The logbook was wet and pages torn out. Probably needs replacing. What we think was the (now empty) container was nearby so we put what remained of the log in it and returned it where we found the log, which we think is right from the description and comments here. Probably worth a check up though.
Nice location though, thanks for bringing us out here!

What a beautiful location. We've known about this area for years, but have never seen it from the shore. thank you lyrebirds for sending us to another great location...we love geocaching for this exact reason. We set the 'having a ball' trackable here because the view is one of our favourite locations so far. Dropped off lots of swaps because we loved this site so much and the kids took a pre-loved car and a dodgy baby but we had a great laugh at the choices.
Gorgeous area! Easy to find. Nice walk down the cliff. Not dangerous for geo kids accompanied by responsible adults. Entered via Wattle St cul desac. Left 20c piece and took nothing. Poor cache was looking a little deprived of treasure. Log a tad damp but still writeable.
We decided to take the rocky walk down and some terrific views from here. A nice hide but a little exposed and a touch damp. Probably would not venture here unless geocaching.

Great spot. Easy to find and hidden from muggles. Grandkids are having a great day and this just added to it. Thx
Off to a good start today and nabbed this first up (but it wasn't to last). Nice hide and a pleasant walk to get to. Left 1948 halfpenny.
Found at 1.35pm GAFF5 in the company of Robmc. GPSr was taking me into the thickly grassed area, but eventually found in a more logical spot. A nice walk along the foreshore, but there was absolutely no one about - not even workers in that burnt down house.
Thanks lyrebirds
Thanks lyrebirds
We took the foreshore option to GZ. An interesting collection of houses along here. You would have to have a boat if you lived here, but a lot of them don't look very used.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Nice walking views to cache. Fairly easy find. Could not sign log as it was soaked. LNTN TFTC
great view. lovely spot. cache and log are both wet. did manage to sign it though. this deserves a favorite point. thanks!
Great spot for a cache. I came in via the high road, which was worth the morning walk. Tftc.
Beaut morning for a walk along the foreshore. Found pretty quickly after arriving at GZ. Bit of water in the cache so dried it out as best as possible. Log still damp. TNLNSL.
Found at 3:45pm. Did enjoy the views and all the nifty lichen growing on the rocks nearby - thanks!
Reperio at 1145. The second cache visited out along this point, and if I thought the last spot had nice views out across the water, then this spot was just a nice...if not better. A short search soon revealed the cache.
Gratias.

A lovely walk on some front lawns then down to the cache. Luckily found in the second spot I looked. Clear skies for this pretty spot.
Good easy find for the kiddiecachers!! Beautiful tree in a beautiful place......ENJOY
Beautiful spot! We were tempted to go for a swim it was so hot. I loved the conglomerate with the sandstone layers between GZ and the water. TFTC
The trips up and down the cliff weren't much fun, but they sure were worth it. The water was so clear, and it was such a peaceful spot. Only two young muggles to worry about. TFTC
GREAT CACHE!
lots of muggles fishing as of school holidays but they didn't pay much attention. it also wasn't hidden very well time before as it was just sitting there but we covered it up pretty well when we left.
Left card and took nothing

A couple of older muggles were fishing on the point a little way past the spot, they didn't seem interested in what we were doing at all. Signed the log, took in the views. TNLN TFTC!
Walked around to this one from by a point. Nice walk for lunch always good and better if there is a cache involved as well. TFTC

This is a nice area with an interesting beach of gravel and conglomerate rocks. The cache was a bit exposed so not all that hard to find. TN but left a TB, supposed to be left at a golf course but the beautifully manicured lawns are close by. Thanks for a very good cache in a great location.
Easy walk down the hill and soon found the cache. It would be nice to live here with your own well care for shore line. TNLN thanks.

Whilst out house hunting, we dropped on this on as a fluke! Thanks to the iPhone app, we've added another cache to our tally! The log book is rather moist after all the rain we've had but we still managed to write on it! Great spot for a cache - amazing views! TFTC!
2nd cache for the day - thanks Lyrebirds, I like the spots and the views you've chosen
We walked down from the top of the hill and back along the water line. No muggles in sight - found the cache pretty quickly. TFTC.

This one was a bit of fun, We went down in front of the houses with the dogs in tow and the locals glaring at us. The cache was found after a quick search and then we wandered around the point and up the hill!
Thanks lyrebirds for the cache.

This was the Pie 4 Pi Event day we were heading to. Spikeymikey so generously and thoughtfully picked up myself and minichef for a day of caching and pie for which we both are indebted forever. It was a great day, with some good caches, a top event and a fun day out with a mate.
Chalk this one up to minichef, by this time my leg was holding me back, so he took over for me and did me proud. Well done Samuel. (not that he can read this, he's only 5)

We decided to have a romantic Valentine's Day spent caching! This was our final find for the day - a record number 22 cahces for the day for us! We parked the car and walked towards GZ admiring the amazing houses [and their great views] that we walked passed - wow! There were a few muggles out fishing in their boats but we were well hidden by the tree. TNLNSL TFTC
found on the way home from HAVOC new year.
Once again took the time to leave a swap that would not be welcome elsewhere...
left a wworking compass. took nothing

Second cache for the trip home from the HAVOC event. We decided to approach this one from above. The cache was located by Pesky using his knowledge and skiils with geocaching (or so he claims).

Quick easy find and a nice short walk along the foreshore reserve. Those houses sure have great access to the lake! TFTC.
I went back here today with Mini Cash Man after a failed attempt.
Found it this time. Another beautiful day on Lake Macquarie.
The wind was blowing from the south east making it a perfect day for sailing.
Thanks Lyrebirds

Nice location Stayed for 10 minutes to enjoy the view and the Toronto Yaught Club's race
Walked along the seashore and staight to the cache.
Took a keyring, left a car.

Not sure if I took the best way in or not, seemed almost like I was walking through people's backyards... oh well appeared noone was home anyway. Found nice and quickly and was on my way!
Found the way in to this one, trying to be quiet but the local dogs were aware of our presence and started barking. Got to GZ, found the cache and completed the formalities and back to the car without any further problems.

Found this with TheMonks, whilst on the way to a picnic. Great spot, but far too windy today for a lunch area.
Left blue cotton and a submarine. Took lucky Indian elephant and a car for the junior Monks. TFTC

I just -had- to do this cache--- this exact area, what is now "Wattle Street", is the 'ancestral lands' of my family! .. My great-grandmother was a long-term squatter on this exact spot in the early 1930s, and there's still relatives living here in more substantial housing... The Hepplewhite shack that's still standing, and the Andrews shack (no longer standing), around the point inside the Awaba reserve were neighbours..
Took nothing; left dinosaur. Left a message with a cousin to shoot any geocachers that he sees.

Took the kids here today. It is a great spot on the lake.
Searched everywhere and couldn't find it. Saw tonight that cjb had been there.
Last time I found a cache after he had been there it was muggled because he found it in front of muggles.
I have also had an instance where he took a cache from the scene to return it later.
I will try again soon.

Walked around from By a Point and passed rainbush on the way, while they looked vaugly familiar I didn't quite recognise them and couldn't see a GPS so just said g'day like any passing walker and kept going. Once I found the cache and read Saw the name rainbush in the log and the same time I had logged the other cache I realised it was them I had passed. When we meet again on the way back they had made the same realisation and we had a short chat before heading off again. It's always good to meet up with another cacher in the wild.
Thanks again lyrebirds.
